Maybe he's the bartender at Hog's Head. Just a wild guess.

| Yeah that would be amusing.
Either that or he will play a key part later, I get the impression though as he is not around maybe they had a falling out (he and Albus), maybe he's a deatheater, that would be cool twist.

I agree- that would be sort of freak though, becuase he could be spying on the ORder... OR maybe hes in Hawaii lounging on a beach chair!?!

Maybe he is a death eater, that would definately be interesting. I mean having brothers on opposing teams in the good vs. evil war. That would be my geuss.

I just think that he's in disguize or something like that... But he can't be a death eater, because, as Dumbledore said, he's not quite intelligent... and Voldemort doesn't accept people like him...

Have any of you ever been to the Harry Potter Lexicon at www.hp-lexicon.org? It has every single bit of information about Harry Potter, including stuff not in the books, and they say that Aberforth is indeed the bartender at the Hog's Head.

Well, madam, they take info from every J.K. interview, as well as researching the books extensively, and picking up on the clues J.K. left behind. So there!

I think he is a good guy turned deatheater.
He's gotta be like Dumbledore's evil brother or something crazy like that.

Still... u can't just trust it like J.K. Rowling herself! No offense, because I like the lexicon as well, but everyone makes mistakes! And if u're so wise, then give me a clue that he's the bartender. Where's the proof of that?

Personally, I saw him donw my road the other day. Lol, naa. If he was a death eater than Harry would have known cuz in the 4th book, he sees all of themin nthe graveyard, doesnt he. and there were only two people who weren't there and we know who they are.

First of all, to end this constant bickering, the Lexicon does NOT say that Aberforth Dumbledore is the barkeep at the Hog's Head. They say: Quote: Aberforth might very well be the barkeep at the Hog's Head Inn in Hogsmeade. There are a number of clues which suggest this. Don't believe me? Look for yourself.
I myself am pretty heavily inclined in that direction, though the one thing that doesn't add up for me is that, if Aberforth is in the Order and is the barkeep of the Hog's Head, why was it neccesary for Dung to dress up in disguise and watch Harry in the Hog's Head? Wasn't Aberforth perfectly capable of doing it?
