i have posted saying yes she may be a squib but i was wrong if both her parents were muggles then she cant be a squib because they are only born to wizzards and witches arnt they. i do think she must have been a witch beacuse lilly is a witch so id assume that pertunia was to like colin and denis creevey,both born to muggles. | |

I think that she is totally a sqib. I kind of think that maybe her parents were too. It only makes more sense becasue she said that her partents were soo happy to have a witch in the family. This would explain why they were "soo happy." It would also clearly state why she hated/hates her sister and harry soo much! | |

I think it would definetley be interesting if she was. Yeah, I know, she wouldn't be because her parents are nonmagical, bla bla bla.But you can't deny- it would be pretty interesting, dont you think? I think it'd be even better if she was actually a witch, but that's just me. I just for some reason find it oddly funny... NEways thats just me. I think it'd be cool. | |

I think that Petunia's PARENTS were both squibs, and thats why they were so excited to have a wtich in the family. and then Petunia got really jealous of Lily, and Uncle Vernon and Dudley are both muggles that would make sense bcuz harry got in trouble for doign magic in front of muggles in OotP(Dudley was there), and CoS (uncle Vernon was there). that would explain why Petunia despices magic so much.... | |

I think she is cuz, she knew all about the dementors, and the letter she got... and a bunch of stuff... After all she has to have SOME magical blood in her, Lily was magic!

i totally agree. petunia new about Hogwarts, so she can't be considered a muggle and all the dementors and things, she has to have some magical blood in her vains. Therefore, it is completely possible for her to not preform magic but have some in her. | |

She very well could be. She seems to be so jealous of her sister almost as if she wanted to be everything her sister was, including a witch. Lily might have talked about it with James with Petunia listening in on them....... she has been known to be a snoops so its logical | |

well i no that petunia is definitly NOT a squib. She cant be cuz both her parents were muggles. Wether or not her parents were both squibs i dont no...but she isnt. but its a little obvious that she was hecka jealous of lily. | |

Otay this is really interestin... People are saying that there is absolutely no way no how. Well, ya know what? That's what people probably said with a lot of things in Harry Potter. If before you read the end of CoS somebody told you Ginny did it, what would you think? "Heck no! You're a liar! That's not possible! Go back to the mental hospital where you belong!" But guess what? It happened, didn't it? Was it possible? Yes! So, it IS possible. Is it probable? Not really. We all know that Petunia is most likely a muggleborn. I don't think she's called that, though- I think there might be another title for people with no magical talent but with some magical talent in their blood and having magical family... if that made sense lol. NEway, she probably isn't a squib, but it's NOT impossible! | |

I don't think Petunia is a squib I think she is a witch but just didn't go to Hogwarts because she had the mind set that witches and wizards were freaks and she would do everything possible to keep from being like that. Tonks said when coming into the Dursley's house that it was unnaturally clean.in the fifth. She could be cleaning it magically and not even knowing it because Harry did stuff like that all the time. But with Tonks she also said she was never good at the cleaning thing so it might just her being weird which is totally possible. Though i do think Petunia is a witch. | |
