I'm sure you have all noticed the striking resemblance between Lily and Genny. If not then well idk... but anyways... I think there is something more to Genny looking like Lily. It's kinda coincidental that Lily and James fell in love and then years later Ginny and Harry did the same thing, and they also look like Harry's parents. I think just like Lily's eyes, Ginny's looks hold a deeper importance in the story.

So I'm out of things to say about this. I mean I have a lot, but I don't know how to put them...so I think anyone w/an idea should help me.

My sister Taylor brought that up to me last week... (Freds pirate girl) We are very close and we discuss our theories a lot. She said this to me and I thought it was brilliant! I don't remember GInny looking like Lilly Potter i don't doubt that Harry and her should be together but i don't really see it.

Although they both had red hair, I have seen no physical resemblance. Their characters are similar. Both are kind, brave and capable of defending themselves.

It may happen. Ginny loves Harry and will do any thing for him and she will try to pay for what Harry did when he saved her in COS.

^Very true. Ginny wouldn't leave Harry, she would stand by him and fight even if he tells her not to. Ginny is a very strong determined woman, just like Lily was

if ginny died for harry would that give him extra love protection against voldermort? they evidentally love eachother and yes there i a small resemblance between lily and ginny but we could also add crookshanks into that... also because crookshanks found it so easy to communicate with sirius?!?!?! is there something going on that we havent twigged onto and will get the answer to in book7 ?!?! i hope so!

I hope Harry & Ginny aren't showhow related and that's why Ginny is like Lily. That would just be too much like Star Wars for me...

I dont think that ginny is going to make it. There is a posabilty that she will, but i think there is somthing in killing ginny off at the end of the book. I think that Ginny will take revenge on Voldy and kill him but in the prosses give up her life. So I think that Ginny will die or if not she will be the one to finaly be rid of voldy. Maybe harry will, but i think that ginny is going to die or be the person talking in the end.

You know when JKR said that someone was going to tell what happoned at the end. If ginny dosent die then i think that will be her.

In James and Lily's life time, James began to ask Lily out (ect) in 5th year...and it took 2 years for her to fall for him...in Harry's world, Ginny began liking him in her first year, four years later in Harry's 6th year (end of year) they began dating...almost 7th year for him...the years that they began to recognize their feelings for eachother might play an important role.

Ginny resembling Lily...? My, my...she does actually! But while all of you are discussing her fate I'm thinking -this is too Freudian to talk about. Maybe a visit to psychiatrist would do Potter good.

IT is SO Freudian! I mean, the whole liking someone who looks like your mother thing--very Freudian, as well as the fact that she acts in a similar way to Lily Evans!

I definitely think JKR intended for people to see the correlation between Ginny and Lily. I think she does this with a lot of her "couples." Look at Ron and Hermione... how many times does JKR comment that Hermione reminds Harry of Mrs. Weasley at certain points? It seems like this is a trend...

Oh it deffinarely is a trend...deffinately, and Hermione 'really' was so much like Mrs. Weasley after the Yule Ball. And something many psychologists have noticed, a trend really, is that guys tend to marry people who remind them of their own mothers. So, Hermione reminds Harry of Mrs. Weasley, so then Ron and Hermione are deffinately the 'desired' couple. Harry didn't really know his mother too well because she died when he was one year old, however, from what he knows about her, she is brave, kind, doesn't like seeing other people being hurt, and can put up a good fight when she is in 'danger'. In Harry's life, Ginny is the little sister of his best friend, so that means he sees alot of her, and for one thing, she looks like his mother with the red hair. She also might act like her aswell, because Ginny Weasley 'fights' against Voldemorts 'minions' and the death eaters in many of the books, however she is not 'noted' as being the best fighter, however, we do not know (as of yet) what Ginny Weasley's Patronus form is, however I do believe that it will be stronger that Cho Chang's Swam.

Mabye thats what draws Harry to her. Nt meaning to be insest or anything.
Becasue her personality remids him how brave and good his mother was and of corse she looks quite alot like her.
