I TOTALLY agree with what Padie said near the beginning of the thread. It would be really cool to have a marauders book!
However, if JKR wanted to write a new generation, she could probably pull it off. . . . what i like to think is that she left it open ended for us dedicated fans and fanfic writers to mess around with.
It's not like she needs the money lol!

Has anyone found out any further information on a possible book 8.
From what I heard on the news : that Jo's daughter had been at her mother
to write another book..
It did state that Harry would not be mentioned much in it.. So would Jo be
going forward with the next generation or back to when James and Lily were
at Hogwarts
I think there should be some sort of book to say what happened to all the characters not just a few of them but i dont think another series is necessary
I thought the same thing, the idea of a new generation sounds terrible. But then why did J.K. leave it at such a point where it would be so simple to start a new series? She must have plans, I'm thinking. But I wouldn't like it, I'd read it, but I wouldn't like it.
I think that most likely is she does ever write another book it will be all about the fallout after Voldemort's demise and the relationships of H/G and H/R...but beyond that I really don't think she would write about the kids unless somehow Voldemort had a child somewhrere that took over in his stead later......hey its a book anything can happen...and no I wouldn't like it but I would have to read it!!
