Simple question, if the trio of Harry, Ron and Hermione was to extend to four members then who do you think the fourth member could be?

i really want the trio to be just that- a trio
but in a hypothetical situation id say Neville.
cuz never mind emotional connections, harry will become much more curious and much more willing to be involved in nev's life after learning of their shared connection.
knowing that another boy was in the same prophecy that you were can do strange things to you- and there's will be a very pecualiar yet close relationship. already harry views neville differently. now with their shared hatred( and im using that word loosely) of bella the cow, they might become close
i wont be surprised if neville becomes the first person harry tells the prophecy to

I dont think there will be a tag-along.

It's always going to be the trio, and no-one will enter, leave or break their special friendship. However, with the group of 6 who visited the DoM, it shows they've also got friends outside of the trio that they can rely on and turn to, too.

Ginny Weasly is the best one to jion the trio..She is brave and naughty..

Also, as an afternote, I fail to see why the trio needs to expand to a four at all. I've seen too many cheesy fics where someone, either a new character or Ginny (she is the most used person) becomes a tag-along and then joins the group later on.

I think it is more of a 6, with the trio being the in the centre of all that and the other 3 being friends to some.

None of the people we have heard of yet.. I mean, why not keep it a trio?
But if I should choose one, it would be someone new..

It's a trio for a reason

I don't think anyone will reallly join. Luna, Neville, and Ginny will certainly be around more, but I don't see any of them becoming part of the trio.

i think it should stay a trio i mean it just wouldn't be the same adding someone new harry, ron, and hemione fit perfectly and they definatly shouldn't add someone new

Exactly my thoughts, they are the terrific trio, any added character would seem like a third wheel. Plus this supper cool character who gets to be Hermione's best girlfriend, or the girl who gets to steal Ron or Harry's heart, (in fanfics) always sounds like some mary sue.

i kinda like the trio as it is. but if there had to be a fourth member i'd want ginny to be it. like there are people who have been included on some of their activities. but i don't particularly think that any of them would have the closeness and the trustiworthiness of those three together.

^hehe Likewise...Harry, Ron and Hermione as a trio then sometimes with another trio...Ginny (or should I say Ginevra :/ ), Neville and Luna...

i chose no one.. cause it wouldnt be the trio with someone else.. then it would be a foursome not a trio

I think that it should be someone we know of, but not that well in a different house (not luna, we know her to well)

The worst thing about someone joining the trio, is that the someone is normally Harry's girlfriend, Hermione's best friend, Harry's twin sister etc.

I think that the Trio should STAY the Trio, without outside interference, and certainly not some gum-chewing, wandless magic doing, hair flipping, large-smiling, teaches-Hermione-new-ways-to-do-her-hair-so-that-both-of-them-are-now-the-prettiest-girls-in-Hogwarts, brainless, tries too hard to be cool, and in the end is just another author spinoff twit, thank you very much.

Neville is cool and it would be awsome to have the maurderer thing in the Harry time era. It would definatly be creative

I think that if they ever decide to be a quartet... Neville is the best candidate...

They would compliment the Marauder's and the Four Founders if they did that...
