Emily walked into the shop and had to stop and stare. This was the biggest bookshop she had ever been in! Emily loved to read and decided at that moment this was her favourite shop.

She spent 10 minutes looking at all the types of wizarding books (and muggles ones too!) before she finally decided she better buy her books.

Her sister had given her some of her old ones but Emily still needed Hilary Stargazer's Guide to the Galaxy, A Beginner's Guide to Transfiguration, A History of Magic and How Not To Blow Off Your Fingers On The First Day.
Emily found these books and went over to the counter.

"These books please" she said dumping them on the counter then, spotting a quibbler, added it to the pile and said "Oh, and this please!"

So either way she wouldn't get it in time...hmph, she nodded, thinking, I'll have it delivered please she nodded, smiling at the man behind the counter, so how much is that? She asked again, taking out her purse

Brett smiled slightly as he noticed the crowd swell exponentially in no time at all. Here we go. He felt as though he was preparing for a race, which essentially…it really was. Grinning now, he greeted the first customer. “Hey there.” He greeted as he looked over the books. “That’ll be 15 galleons and 6 sickles please.”

He stacked the books into a bag and waited for payment.
Brett stacked the books into a bag and added a diary and stationary on top as he smiled a greeting. "18 galleons, please." He requested.

Brett watched carefully as a girl stumbled up the counter, half expecting her to tip over. As she rattled off her purchases, he nodded .“That’ll be 18 galleons.” He requested as he stacked the books on top of one another.
Giving a friendly smile to the next customer, Brett placed the books into a bag. “Hey there. Is that all that you’ll be needing?” Most of the students here purchased the lots of school books, which made it easier for them as they were prepackaged.
“Sure thing.” The shopkeeper replied as he slid the books towards him and glanced quickly at the titles to ensure that all books were in the package. “That’ll be 15 galleons, please.”
Brett reached over the counter to steady the large amount of material in the girl’s arms so that it all wouldn’t topple over onto the floor. “Busy day you’ve had.” He commented casually as he picked up the books from the shop. “Would you like the diary customized or keep it plain? If you’d like it customized, it’ll take 3 days to customize and a day to deliver to you if you don’t want to pick it up.”

Brett was startled as a girl stepped up to the counter and a book slid off her stack, hitting the floor. “Oh..no problem.” He replied as he stepped around the counter quickly and scooped up the book. “It’ll be 15 galleons and 14 sickles total, please.” He stacked the books neatly and slid them into a bag, moving the bag towards Nerida.

Brett placed a copy of the Prophet on the counter as another customer approached. “Of course…” Stargazer..Transfiguration…History of Magic…He cracked a smile at the last book. “Let’s hope no one is blowing off anyone’s fingers though I’m sure the nurse could grow them back.” He remarked with a chuckle. “7 galleons and 14 sickles is your total.”
“Great.” Brett scribbled a delivery date on the piece of parchment and gave the copy to the girl. “23 galleons, 55 sickles please.” He placed the original ordering form into a drawer behind the counter, along with the copy of the crest. He would send off the order at lunchtime.
“15 galleons, please.” Brett requested as the girl stepped up to the counter with a stack of school books. “Anything else that you’ll need?”

Jesse smiled at the man and payed him the amount. "Thank you." He said before picking up the bag holding his books and walking out the door.

"No, I got everything," Elnesiel replied, handing him 15 galleons. She picked up the books that she bought and walked out of the store.

Nerida picked up her purple shoulder bag and got out 15 galleons and 14 sickles, Here you go She said smiling. She grabbed the bag and said Thank you and have a good daybefore she left the counter she took out 1 galleon and 18 sickles, which was 2 galleons and 1 sickle and left them there for the clerk, like a tip...

Selina nodded shyly as she bit down on her lip. Previously doing the math she placed 15 galleons on the counter and collected her books placing them in her expansion charmed bag.
"Thank you, have a good day." Selina whispered.
As she left the shop she placed two galleons on the counter for the clerk. She turned around once more and smiled.

He waved goodbye to the other customers as they paid for their purchases and left the store.

Brett grinned at the young girl who stepped up to the counter, requesting help to find books for first years. "No problem. Right this way." He led her towards the front of the shop up to a table with a large sign floating above it that read School Books. "First year books are right here." He lifted a stack. "The years then go from left to right; so that your seventh year books are at the very end. Though you have a little while before you have to worry about that."

With that, he stepped back from the table and walked back to the counter. "Anything else?"

As the next customer stepped up, Brett smiled in greeting. "Hey there." Stacking the books into the bag, he topped it off with the magazine and newspaper. "15 galleons and 17 sickles, please."

"Have a good day as well." He bid her.

A glint caught his eye as he glanced down and he looked back up, gave Selina a wink and a wave goodbye. Two extra galleons was certainly something to smile about.

Ava Jade handed Brett the 18 galleons, then gave him a grateful smile and a "thanks!" and left the shop.

Freya reached her pockets to grab her galleons. "Here you go, sir. 15 galleons." she said giving the shopkeeper the galleons. "Thank you, sir and have a good day." she said before picking up her books and walked out the store.

Pandora trudged into Flourish and Blotts, letting out a long sigh. The smell of leather wafted through the shop, causing the first year to smile. She glances around the shop until her eyes landed upon the desk in the center with a "School Books Here", sign hanging above it. Pandora allowed her eyes to travel over the rest of the shop first, landing on the blank journals, another item she needed. The first year walked over and picked up a maroon colored blank journal, being she was in the house of Gryffindor. Afterwards, she made her way over to the far left side of the table that was situated in the center of the book shop, pulling out a piece of parchment that was her school supplies list. She made sure each book was there before she put her blank journal on top of the stack, picking it up. Pandora carried the books to the counter and sat them down on top, smiling at the shop keeper, nodding her head as a way of saying hello.

Zoe stepped up to the counter. She wasn't able to see over her large stack of first year books. As she struggled to place the stack on the counter, a few books slid off the top of the stack. Luckily her dad caught them for her, and took the stack out of her hands.

Zoe cleared her throat, a little embarrassed. "Excuse me" she said, "could I please buy all of these books and-". She grabbed a light green journal with silver swirls on it off a table nearby. "And also this journal? Thank you!"

Lizzie smiled gratefully at the shopkeeper as he steadied her stuff, and nodded. 'Definitely... one more shop to go, and I'll have all my school stuff,' she said happily. 'Erm... I'll keep it plain, I think,' she said, glancing down. It was a pretty gold colour, and she liked ot just plain.

Emily laughed. "Knowing me, I probably would..." she said handing over her money.
"I really like this shop!" she added "I love to read, and this is the coolest bookshop I've ever been in!" She blushed as she said this.
Why was she so good at embarrassing herself?

A quiet girl stepped up to the counter next, setting her books down as she nodded a hello. "Hey there." Brett greeted as he slid from his perch on the stool, shaking out a bag as he did so. "That'll be 17 galleons if that's all you'll be needing." He stacked the books into the bag, using the journal to top it off.

Brett hid a smile as a first year stepped up to the counter, nearly toppling the stack of books onto the floor. "Sure can. It'll be 17 galleons, unless you would like to customize your journal. You can put your name or anything else that will make it unique."

Brett nodded, still eyeing the purchases. "Well, I suppose it's best to get everything out of the way in one trip. At least you won't be scrambling at the last minute." With the casual remark, he rang up the books and handed the bag to her. "17 galleons please."

Brett grinned. "I'm sure you're not that bad; you'll probably surprise yourself with how easily you pick up on things."

As Emily went on to compliment the bookshop, his smile grew a bit more. "Glad that you like it. It's a busy place but never boring, that's for sure." He reached under the counter, reached over to the bag of books and dropped a bookmark inside with a conspiratorial wink. "A little something extra."

Okidoke Sheridan nodded, counting out the galleons and sickles and placing them on the desk, she had so many Knuts, stupid coppers, she'd have to get rid of them somehow, she took her other bagged purchases, thank you she nodded again before walking away from the counter and letting the other customers pay

Osiris walked into the bookshop, even though they would most likely be heavy she would buy the books first, she had to. She waited behind a girl who was counting all her money on the desk, it shouldn't be long now, soon she would be able to start reading for her first year at Hogwarts! *grin*
