Emma came into the pratically empty store. She smiled, she loved bookstores when they were quite. She came in and looked at the list. She needed to get some school books. She also wanted to get a journal. She walked up to the counter. "Excuse me?" she asked.

Here comes the hard part on her shopping journey, the books.
Dianna enters the shop filled with anticipation to see what new books she needed to buy.
Surprisingly she stood behind her cousin, Emma who was asking something at the counter. She waited patently for her turn.

Books. The most important part of Maddie's shopping... except maybe robes. She'd picked up everything she needed - a set of second year books and a pale blue journal. That was really it. She joined the queue and smiled, seeing who was in front of her. They could meet up later, she thought.

His first customers of the year. With a small grin, Brett straightened up in his chair. "Yes? What can I help you with?"

The same was said to the next girl, who appeared to be Emma. "What can I help you with?"

Brett glanced at the items held by the young girl and asked with a smile. "Is that all you need?"

Maddie glanced down at the books in her arms, going over her supply list in her head
'Yes, I think so' she said, nodding 'How much is all that?'

Emma smiled. "Can I please get a second set of school books and a journal please?" she asked him. She had picked up the books and placed them on the counter. She was happy to be back at her favourite store.

Eliza joined the queue behind a few other girls who looked about her age, a stack of books in her arms. She had all of the second year books, and a green journal. Green, for Slytherin. She'd also grabbed a newspaper, the Daily Prophet, to read later.

Brett smoothly slid the books into a bag. "17 galleons." He answered.

"Sure thing." He answered, setting the books off to the side. "What color journal? And do you wish for it to be customized?" He inquired.

Once he had completed his transactions with the other two girls, he turned his attention to Eliza. "Will that be all?" He asked, surveying the items held in her arms. "If so, 17 galleons and 3 sickles."

Emma smiled and thought about it being customized. "A light green one please!" she said, because after all she was a Slytherin, no surprise there! She then thought about customizations. She nodded her head. "Yes can I get it customized please! Umm.. can I get a name on the back please, if its possible? Emma Astoria Malfoy?" she asked him.

Dianna smiled. "Do you have the books for second years?" she asked.
She also grabbed the latest Daily Prophet. "I'd like this too please." she said.

Sergio stepped into Flourish & Blotts and was mesmerized by the huge selection of books they had. He saw at his left all the first year books he needed. He cringed at the books that had the word "History" on the cover. He preferred to read biographies and look at his fathers potions book. Sergio struggled to get his books to the counter but got there without dropping any of them. He looked up at the tall blonde man and asked, "Good day sir. I would like to customize my journal with my name on it... with green and silver please. Also, how much for all these First Year books?"

Ainra entered Flourish and Blotts with a smile on her face. She was very fond of this shop as it was the first shop she had visited upon entering the magical world a year ago. She picked up a copy of the Quibbler as well as the Daily Prophet and tucked them under her arm. It was always good to keep up with the news both real and errrr... slightly insane. "Excuse me?" She said, in her most polite voice and with a smile to the shopkeeper. "Could you please tell me where I can find my books that I'll need for Hogwarts?" She glanced around and smiled at the other students in the shop quickly before turning back to the shopkeeper.

Brett pulled open a drawer, lifted a pack of papers to the desk, and tore a piece of parchment from the top.

He jotted down the customization and color. "I can do that. It'll take a few days to get it done, but I can deliver it to you via owl to Hogwarts or you can come back here to pick it up." He offered. "Payment up front, though."

"I certainly do." He scooped a set of second year books from the floor. He had a few extra prepackaged books behind the counter just in case. "15 galleons and 3 sickles."

Brett adjusted his weight on his stool as he leaned forward on the counter to address a young boy. "Good day yourself." He replied with a smile. "Sure thing. Name please?" He asked as he leaned forward to stack the books onto the counter so as to prevent them from spilling on the floor. They certainly were heavy for the younger students. "The lot is 15 galleons."

He pointed towards the middle of the shop to his right. "Right over there." He indicated. "Where the large sign is hanging that says 'School Books Here'. First year books are all the way to the left and then each subsequent year follows to the right."

"Aw thanks!" Ainra said, smiling at the shopkeeper then laughing added. "I don't know how I missed that!" She headed over to the second year books and scooped up the stack, feeling a bit weighed down by them. She carried them back to the shopkeeper along with her two magazines. "Alright can I get these then?" She asked, smiling still. She really did love books.

Eliza smiled and took the bag of books, sliding the money across the counter to the shopkeeper. 'Yes, that's all, thanks' she said, pulling out her school supply list and crossing off all of the books.

Selena balanced the books carefully in her arms and waited her turn. Eep. Heavy. Who knew that they would still need so many textbooks? Ooh and a journal. She needed a journal too. She was careful not to drop the books, if it did, it would hurt and Selena did not want her toes to be throbbing from the weight of the books... especially since one of them was Hogwarts: a History... a huge book. She looked at the book on top, The Art of Potion Making... eeh... potions class... Selena wondered if Lafay was still the potions mistress...

grabing all the books that she needed and a dairy just to write, lilith heade to the counter to purchase her books. she had decide that she would go to get her robes then head for lunch. whie walking to the counter she hadnt see a pile of books and tripped over them knocking them over, dropping her books and falling to the ground. "How clumsy can i be" she said picking up all her books she headedto the counter

Amy walked up to the counter and said excuse me i'd like to purchase these books she set a rather large stack of books on the counter

she noticed the girl at the counter who had spoke to her earlier and said 'Hi Amy, what are you doing next?"

"Sergio A. Black." he answered. Sergio put 15 galleons on the counter and slid them over to the tall wizard on the other side.

"Sure thing." Brett answered with a grin. She was certainly a chipper one. "It'll be 15 galleons for the lot." He packed each book carefully into a bag and tapped it. "Just to make it a little lighter for you." He remarked as he handed the bag to her.

"Thank you very much." Brett said, sliding the money into the till. "Have a great day."

"Will that be all that you need?" Inquired the shopkeeper as he reached forward to lift the books onto the counter. He would have to figure out a way to lighten the load. They were way too heavy for the younger students to drag around.

"First year textbooks are over at that large table right over there, with the sign that says School Books Here. First year texts are to the left." He intoned, waving his hand to his right.

A loud thump near the counter caused him to turn his head around in search of the noise. "You all right there?" He asked, leaning forward slightly as the girl got to her feet and began to walk towards where he stood.

"Sure thing." Brett packed the books into a bag, mentally calculating the cost as he did so. "18 galleons and 5 knuts."

Brett jotted down the name. "Another 2 galleons and 12 sickles for the journal." He noted. "You can either come back in a few days to pick up your journal or I can owl it to you at Hogwarts."
