I know news that Jo might intend to continue another HP Book, but only for adults. (You can PM me if you want to hear the actual news because it has words not suitable for kids.) The book might come next year on December. If she will make another book, then Harry will not die. In the news, it also said about Ron. So Ron or Harry will NOT die in the 7th book. It's about Harry and Ron growing up as "adults." Remember, if she intends to do this, it will only be in "ADULT VERSION."

I seriously doubt that. She's said continuously, there will only be seven books. Why would she make an 8th for adults only? Sounds more like a dodgy rumour to me than anything else.

Cause J.K. said that the 7th book IS going to be the last one about Harry Potter.
She did say it in her diary:
Adult version or not, it would still be another book about Harry Potter.
And I doubt that she'll be writing one...
(oh and...are you saying that Harry Potter books we already have are NOT for adults? j/k LOL )

She won't be writing any more Harry Potter books after the 7th, though she might write a wizarding Encyclopedia.

I got this information in an article. They recently revealed it was a prank -.- Too bad. I didn't share the article in this thread since there were words not appropiate for kids, just like I stated in my first post -.-

I belive that she should write more HP books but not just for adults i think she should write them for everyone because everyone likes the books of all ages and it wouldn't seem right for her to make more books and they only be for adults ither way i would get them even if they were baby books.

The only thing i could see it being is a different story arc. As others have said, JKR is only writing 7 in this series. If it is true that an 'adult' version of Harry Potter will be written, i could only see it being a different story arc which would be terrible because it would be so different to the books so far.
Even though i don't want the books to end, i don't want to see more books released just to make some extra money. It never works well and just ends up ruining the whole series. It does sound like just another rumour going around made up by some random person wanting to cause some chaos and thats what i hope it stays as.

JKR was pretty firm about there only being 7 books in the series. But she said an enclycopedia and more text books could be possible.

I would LOVE a prequel to the series. I think some stories on James and Lily at Hogwarts with the maurdeers would be great. I really enjoy those characters.

There is always the possibility that after JKR takes a break from the series for several years she might be tempted to go back and write some more about our favorite wizard!

Hm...I dont' think she'll ever write more books about the HP series. I think she was pretty adamant that there would only ever be 7 books in the series, and she's done with them all. Now, if she WERE to write an epilogue of sorts, about Harry and Ron as adults, that would be amazing, and I'd be the first in line to get it. But I think that might have been a rumor, and I don't want to get my hopes up just to have them dashed again.

That would actually be quite sly on kids. Because kids where always the main audiences for the hp books so don't you think they will feel a bit betrayed. I mean, I would want to read about the trios life after the war more than anything.

Well there's no point in doing it for adults cause the kids would obviously get a hold of them some way or another.

I love the books and all, but honestly, i would not want her to write anymore. As much as i miss having these books and movies around, i would not want more to be written, it would just feel like she's milking the series, and it would just feel awkward. It ended exactly where it needed to, it tied up all loose ends, everything got resolved, and what is there to reveal in the next one? And if we want to know what goes on in his life afterwards, just have Rowling write a paragraph explaining what happens, nothing exciting would happen, and one about his kids would be boring as there is no longer any Voldemort around to watch after, and i would not want a new series of some bad guy taking over to start up, again, it would just feel in-genuine and milked.
