R/HR FOREVER! I've proudly shipped these two since Book 1 when those two had the Wingardium Leviosa scene in the books. That was almost 9 years ago, and they're still going strong! This is the best ship, in my opinion, and there are so many points to bring up with Ron and Hermione. But, I'll have more time for that later. First, I want to introduce myself!

Sorry, but I just cant see it happening at all! The 6th book says it all, but the 7th book will reveal all! i dont know, but they seem to be fighting more, pulling, tugging and shoving more! It drains all colourful thought of them together! And remember the canaries?? (cant get better than thta!! )

Well, what can I say? that's the only and throughly romance we've had in the series. I'm proud to be a shipper, I never doubted about them, not even once.
Anyway, some people might think, they are opposite. So what? You can't choose the one you fall for. It just happens.
They're fighting a lot? That's not because they hate each other, they just can't help it. Because that's a good excuse to keep the contact or whatever...

The tension over their unbidden feelings is what causes the arguments. They're both too scared of what admitting their feelings to each other will do to their friendship, so the jealousy and fighting is used as a mask; as if they're trying to block out their feelings in the hope that they will go away. But it's not going to happen. They'll get together in the seventh book, I can feel it...*grins* I think I'll cry if they don't...

Oh R/Hr. It's meant to be. I can't wait till the FINALLY get together.

Ron and Hermione. How can one not ship these two?

I'm readin HBP right now and I've just passed the part where Lavender smiles at Ron then Hermione becomes cold and distant. I don't know what I'll do if these two don't get it together soon. Well, until then, one always has fanfiction!

I've sailed this ship for a long time (ARGH! me hearties!) and don't plan on abandoning ship anytime soon.

I really hope Ron and Hermione get together! I feel sorry for Harry when he was thinking about them getting together in the 6th book. What if they do get too close and blank Harry out? I hope that never happens! It was obvious that they were destined for each other! Lol

Ron and Hermione will happen! Especially after all Hermione's jealously when Ron went after Lavender! It will happen! It must happen! I will make it happen some how lmao!

The best ship there is. Haha, they're just so cute together. Why can't they just say they like eachother, Harry already knows.

Thay have to get together. Ron was jealous of her when she was with Krum and with Cormac and Hermione was really really jealous of Ron when he was with Lavendar so they have to!! Just about all the books so far have shown that they like each other but something keeps nagging me that they just won't be able to get together in bk 7.
But they will so nothing to worry about!

Ron and Hermione must get together! I mean, the complement each other nicely, as Hermione is the caring, intelligent voice of reason and Ron's the hothead with a kind heart.

I've shipped these two ever since the Hogwarts Express scene in the first book. I had a feeling Hermione wasn't just a one-time "oh, here I am only once in the books and will never be remembered from this point one" but a key part in the series...and I was right, thank heavens!

I practically snapped when Ron and Hermione didn't get together in HBP. I was praying it would happen! And, now with one book left to go, it just has to happen! It just has to!

I'm sure there will be love moments between Ron and Hermione in book 7 and may be they will share a kiss. Rowling made us wait alot for this ship and I think this is the time to reveal R/Hr as book 7 is the last book.. Really, they are made for each other. They look like Arthur and Molly, don't they??

Wow, this ship is sooooooo happenin' this summer (that's if the 7th comes out this summer) What I wonderful ship.........*sigh*...though I admit the H/G ship smells really nice.

Ok, I really do think Hermione's going to use that Daydream charm in the 7th. Not exactly how or why but believe me, Jo put that deatil in the 6th for I reason. (to drive us shippers crazy!)

I agree with you that HBP said everything: R/HR were finally admitting to themselves that they could very well like each other. Harry finally addressed it to himself that they could possibly get together. I also agree that the 7th Book will reveal all: That R/HR will finally be OFFICIAL!

I have been trying for over a month now to start the R/HR FAN CLUB, but Will [Lupin_Jr] suggested the Seven Seas idea! There were discussions and arguments and negotiations, and Voila! We give you this wonderful subforum!

1. Yes, they are opposite, but they are not THAT different from each other. And it's not like Harry and Hermione are mirror images! You don't want a clone, but you don't want someone who is the complete opposite of what you believe and your morals, etc. Fortunately, both R/Hr share the same values and morals. They both value friendship more than anything, and they're both good people. They are similar and different in all the right places.

2. Fighting, believe it or not, is healthy in a relationship. It means that they don't bottle things up so that it builds up and self destructs the entire relationship. Those two fight mostly to hide their feelings for each other and jealousy of Viktor/Lavender. They fight because they're honest with each other. They fight because Hermione loves him. Let me explain. She is so set against Ron copying off of him because she loves him and knows he can excel on his own. She believes in him and wants to be the driving force that leads him to academic success. If she didn't love him so much, she wouldn't rag on him so much about his grades...because she wouldn't care.

3. They couldn't possibly hate each other. Let's look at all of the times Harry has come back from something by himself. Where does he find Ron? With Hermione. Where does he find Hermione? With Ron. This isn't a coincidence. Ron and Hermione are, if anything else, friends. They wouldn't spend time together without Harry if they weren't. They genuinely like each other, and they wouldn't hang out without Harry if they didn't.

Exactly! They're scared of their feelings. Falling in love with a best friend is overwhelming. You go from platonic feelings to something more and because you're scared of those feelings, scared of rejection by the other, scared of believing it, you go into denial. That's Ron and Hermione.

I have confidence that we'll finally see those two together AND enjoy fanfiction at the end of the book series! But, I want to address the whole Ron and Lavender thing. Hermione, not a typical girl, goes through the trouble of going to the party with McLaggen to tick Ron off. But here's what I find interesting. She tells Parvati specifically and openly right in front of Ron and Lavender. Here's the real interesting thing: RON HEARS HER AND PARTS FROM LAVENDER (sounding like a plunger, if I'm not mistaken).

Now, when you are totally in love with a guy, like Hermione's trying to appear to be with McLaggen, you wouldn't go through the trouble of explaining to everyone. You're too happy to go around and flaunt it...especiallly in front of a friend who should know it by then. But Hermione is so trying to make Ron jealous. [And it works.] But, if she doesn't like him as so many other shippers claim, why would she be feeling so jealous?

ALSO when you're making out with a guy [or, in Ron's case, a girl], you are focused solely on them if you really like them. You focus on their touch, their lips, their arms, their kiss, their heat, etc. etc. Now, if Ron was so into Lavender and hated Hermione, he would've been so into the kiss with Lavender, he wouldn't have ever HEARD Hermione telling Parvati about McLaggen at all! He would've kept kissing her because A.) he was really into the kiss and B.) he wouldn't care. Love's funny.

Here's the great thing about Ron and Hermione as individuals. They value friendship. And though they do love each other, and I believe that will finally displayed in the last book, they are both so loyal and true to themselves and Harry that I do not believe they would shut Harry out. I think Harry felt that way because he's been feeling a little alone these past few books.

Yes! See, here's the reason why Harry and Hermione are friends and nothing more while Ron and Hermione are friends with the 'more' coming soon: Hermione constantly is hugging Harry. Does Harry give it much thought? Does he get butterflies or dwell on it? No. Hermione gave Harry a goodbye kiss on the cheek at the end of GoF. Did Harry recognize it? Sure. Did he dwell on it? No. Harry dated Cho. Did Hermione disapprove? Sure. Did she suddenly go date a guy she didn't like to make Harry jealous? No. Did she send canaries at him? No. Hermione went with Krum to the Yule Ball. Did it bother Harry? No. Harry then dated Ginny. AND Hermione had been trying to get them together FOREVER!

Hermione, on the other hand, only hugs Ron in an intense moment of emotion. Otherwise, she keeps her distance. It seems to embarrass her. It also seems to embarrass and fluster Ron. [And I'm not talking about the CoS movie!] The one time Hermione gave Ron a kiss on the cheek, she immediately addressed Harry so she wouldn't have to feel embarrassment that someone may have noticed her paying more attention to Ron. Did Ron dwell on that kiss? You bet! Hermione went to the Yule Ball with Krum. Was Ron jealous? You better believe it! Ron dated Lavender. Was Hermione jealous? Did she suddenly go date a guy she didn't like to make Ron jealous? Did she attack the boy with canaries out of rage and jealousy? You better believe it!

They do compliment each other! Hermione's a brain. Ron's a slacker. She's motherly. He can be a little blunt. She watches her words. Ron's honest to the core. Hermione is calm and collected. Yes, Ron's a hothead. [We love him all the more because of it!] But they're both good. They both value friendship. They both have good, kind, warm hearts. Their similarities and differences is what makes them work and what I think will make them last! They're different enough where there is still some excitement and mystery to their relationship. But they're similar enough where they can share the same things and love it.

Me too! I was screaming, "Kiss her already!" But, I was completely satisfied with the outcome. I was jumping up and down for H/G. And I was smiling so broad when Harry was thinking about the two, when Hermione sent the canaries, all the jealousy stuff, the "I love you," as innocent as it was, and the end where he was holding her...it was a great step in their relationship. After 9 years of shipping them, I'm at peace with the fact that it won't happen until book 7. I was expecting it. And again, we've waited 9 years. One more book wouldn't kill us!

I have always said that R/Hr remind me of M/A. Like Molly, Hermione babies Harry, fusses and nags Ron and the twins, she scolds when she needs to, she's loving, she's in love with her man!, and she's a bit vulnerable. Those two remind me like Ron's parents. Which makes me believe, all the more, that they can work!

Wow, good question. I always saw them finally getting together two ways:

1. During an argument where it was mutual.
(Shouting...a lot and loud)
Ron: NAG!
Hermione: PRAT!
Ron: KNOW-IT-ALL!
Hermione: SLACKER!
Ron: YOU INFURIATE ME!
Hermione: YOU INFURIATE ME!
Ron: YOU MAKE IT SO HARD FOR ME TO TELL YOU THAT I LOVE YOU!
Hermione: THAT'S RIDICULOUS BECAUSE I HAVE NO PROBLEM TELLING YOU THAT I LOVE YOU!
Ron: WELL, I THINK WE SHOULD GO OUT SOMETIME!
Hermione: SO DO I!
Ron: FINE!
Hermione: FINE!
(They kiss!) Or something like that.

2. During the battle.
I think they could be in the middle of a big battle. They both realize that they could die any moment. Hermione or Ron get hit with something or get hurt in some way, and they realize that life's too short and too unpredictable to keep their feelings inside. So, one of them would say something like: "[Ron/Hermione]I just want you to know, if one of us dies, that I love you. I always have. And I was just too scared and too proud to admit it." Again, or something like that!

I just had read when Ron get poisoned and Hermione hurried toward him forgetting any arguments between them and I liked when Ron said Er-my-nee when he was in the hospital..WOW

Put it this way, if Ron and Hermione didn't get together, I think JK Rowling would receive thousands of letters asking as to why!! The signs have all been put into place, book seven will see romance for them both, personally I think it's rather inevitable. Maybe its the only one thing we can be sure of knowing whats going to happen in the next book. lol Oh and Harry dying of course. haha (just kidding, how would I know)?!

This is the way I see it happening for them too! I mean, I could see them professing their undying love in the heat of battle too, but I like this version better. It's just more their style.

Exactly! JKRowling would be hated by all of the Ron/Hermione shippers of the world! Of course that will NEVER happen because they WILL get together!!! THEY WILL!!! No doubt about it!

Ron and Hermione love each other and throughout the books so far they expressed it by fighting with each other because they have been best friends since Ron and Harry fought the troll for Hermione and they just don't want to throw it out there that they are meant for each other even though they should and they will in the 7th book!!


Man I love it how we have the Seven Seas to sail on now! I'll just be riding the whale.
