Sometimes I think I must be crazy! I read the HP series so often, that it has become a staple in my purse...=) Even though I read other books all of the time, I'm usually reading a harry potter book too. Does anyone else read the HP series compulsively?

Oh I do! My mum is considering taking me to a doctor soon Because I get nightmares whenever I don't read any one of the series before bed and I'm grouchy during the day when I don't get to read it while i'm eating breakfast.

this is my fourth time threw the books, I just can't stop!

I've read at least once a year since I started the series 10 years ago, usually during the Summer. I'm currently working through this year's reading. Just finished GOF and about 200 pages into OOTP. Want to get DH done before the movie comes out.

Funny thing is, I've still never actually read them.

See I'm an extremely slow reader, so shortly after book 7 came out, I decided to go ahead and finally take the plunge (I'd seen all 5 movies by then and figured I'd get around to the actual books someday, but then I thought now the series is finished, it'll be near impossible to stay away from major spoilers before the DH movie comes out in a couple years, so I better begin reading them now) and so I downloaded the audio books of the entire series read by Stephen Fry. Well and not just slow reading, but having them right there on my mp3 player also gave me much more options on WHEN to take them in, could do so while taking a walk, driving, lying in bed with the lights out, etc.

And, I'd say I've done a full listen to each of the books at least 3 times, and I'm actually right now going back and listening to some of the DH chapters for what's gotta be the 5th or 6th time.

I think I read the entire series once a year, though it has been a while since I actually picked up the books. I got the audio books two years ago and has been listening to them since.

I read like 1 book of the series a week. Not in any particular order, just which ever book at fancy at the time

I must admit I still read HP sometimes.
Three or four months ago I started to read HP&PS, and I finished for reading again the all series! The first five books are destroyed for how much I used to take them, while the last two are still clear.

Ive read poa (my favourite book) about 3 or 4 time and the others about 3 times.it's the best series I've read and I just love it! I'm oh the HBP for the second time..

To be honest I just read book 5-7 for the first time over the summer... Books 1-4 I've read twice..
But I watch the movies all the time. Pretty much a movie a day. I'm in love with them.

I love just picking up the books an time and reading them again. Probably already read them about 10 times too. When I was younger my parents used to have to take my books away so I would actually do homework. I try to pick them up in between other books I read, refresh things, usually the older ones because they were shorter.

I constantly read the books in a order from first to last then start again.
I just love it and i'll never get bored of it. When i'm reading any HP book, i leave my world and go in the world of HP.

I must've gone through the books at least 5 times already, I read at night for hours sometimes I can read half a book in a night and I go on SS during the day. Very filled days, very worthwhile I've lost my PoA book So I've got a hole in the series at the moment, I'm thinking the book is probaly under my bed somewhere :L Lol x

beacause im only reading them for the 4th time, its on a continous loop. It takes me a while if its not the holidays because of school/homework ect.
I do read other stuff but i always find it hard to get stuff I like and if i borrow from a library, the book WILL get lost

I love reading the Harry potter series. But I don't read them often. I mean, I'm in the middle of reading POA for the seventh time.

Once a year usually... Mostly in Summer.

I have no idea how many times I've read the series altogether, but I sometimes just read one of the books because I feel like reading that particular book. I've just read the series again (reading book 6 now) and I haven't done that in order for 2 years.

I've read CoS 28 times though...

I read them a lot of times.. I can't even count. Now I'm starting to read them in English, it's even more interesting. Before the next movie came out I often didn't read the book a year long until the movie started. That was great because I forgot a lot of details

I think I read every book about ten times but I love to pick a book just up and read some random pages. It makes my boring muggle days awesome

now that I have the audio version on my ipod, I "read" them almost daily, most often to sleep.

I will usually read the series at least once a year, sometimes even more. I can't help myself - I am just so obsessed!

me too. i usually read a potter book while reading another book I've read each book over 5 times.

I've read each book multiple times, probably at least 5+ times and the earliest books at least 10+ times. Now I read the whole series between 1-3 times a year. I also read HP at the same time I'm reading other books.
