"That bad, huh?" Bella asked, resting her head on her chin and glancing at Avery out of the corner of her eye. Poor Avery was just as bored as she was. Bella considered telling her assistant that she could just go home for the day, but she feared that the moment Avery left, the shop's business would pick up drastically and be too much for one person to handle. "So...finding any interesting interesting fashions in that muggle magazine? I've found their clothes to be quite similar to the ones we enjoy wearing, actually. Or, well, almost...minus the robes and hats and wands for accessories," Bella added with a laugh.

Bella started to head over to the table to join Avery, when the door to the ice cream shop swung open, and a customer finally appeared. Bella smiled politely and perked up at the sight of the very first customer of the day. "Hello, Miss," she greeted, eyeing the woman and trying to figure out if she knew her. Her face looked familiar, but nothing was really ringing a bell. "Welcome to Florean Fortescue's! Two scoops of Cookies n' Cauldron Cakes coming right up!" Bella exclaimed.

She disappeared behind the counter, returning moments later with the delicious ice cream. "Four sickles, please," she said, holding out the ice cream for the woman to take. "Do enjoy and come back to see us, alright?"

The fatigue of the last few days events were showing clearly on Nathan Greenwood's pale face. The dark circles of old were back with a vengeance, his vivid green eyes had taken on that slightly manic appearance they got thanks to lack of sleep and he hadn't bothered washing his hair in days. What was the point other than for reasons of vanity? He didn't care – there was no one around to make an effort for. He was actually surprised that he managing to stay standing upright at this point in time. He sighed softly, defeatedly, he hadn't felt like this in years. Still... at least he wasn't hallucinating yet. He would be properly worried when that started.

He blinked a few times as he looked up the street, squinting as the sunlight caused his eyes ache dully. He didn't want to go home. That house was massive one person - he would just end up rattling about. Deciding to make his way to the Leaky Cauldron for (a good) few before he headed home, he paused outside Florean Fortescues debating whether to have a couple of scoops of chocolatey goodness... the sugar may give him a bit of a lift.

He stood outside the shop for a good five minutes having an internal debate as if this was the hardest decision in the world... well, currently, it was. He blew a strand of dirty hair out of his face, shrugged and went inside.

He approached the counter and squinted up at the menu even though he knew what he was having. Appearing to have gone into a catatonic state, he tore his eyes away at last to look at the woman behind the counter. “Urm.. Can I have two scoops of muggle chocolate please, love?” He asked softly, giving her a small, albeit a drowsy, smile despite his current state of mind.

Avery came out of her trance at the sound of Bella's voice, she smiled and said, "Eh, its not to bad." Shrugging as she spoke. She flipped to the next page where a beautiful number of Dior dresses were. She gasped at them, while simulatniously placing her hand over her heart. They were the most beautiful thing's she had ever seen. She blushed and smiled at Bella. "Yes, Muggle fashion is very similar to what we tend to wear. But muggle high fashion isn't. These are some of the most beautiful Dior Dresses i have ever seen." She got up and walked over to Bella, placing the magazine infront of her on the counter. "I mean look at them. They are a work of art on a catwalk. Amazing." She beamed. Then a customer came into the shop. Avery quickly grabbed the magazine and got out of the way.






Avery smiled as another customer came into the shop. "Sure thing love." She quickly made up the scoops of ice cream. Once she was finished, she placed the ice cream on the counter and said, "That will be 4 sickles."

The thought of another stale lunch and weak coffee were just too much, so deciding to Diagon Alley, she'd decided on a quick lunch at one of the numerous cafe's. The coffee had been fantastic, and had cleared her head. She'd wanted to drop by Nathan's work to see him, but it was lunch time and most of the employee's would be out so deciding to wait, Alexa walked down the alley, it was flurry of colour and memories. Passing the Ice Cream parlour and frowned. Mmmh Rocky Road! That had been her favourite flavour for a long time, her father's too...Shaking her head, she walked toward Florean's. It was pointless to go around skirting what was, and she would have to tell Warren sooner or later, but the matter was starting to weigh her down, she was guilty but she had to do this. For her own sake. And as selfish as that was, she knew she was doing him a favour in finishing this once and for all. Stopping by the counter, she looked at the flavours on the board, but smiled at the attendant already knowing which flavour she would choose, "Hello, Just a scoop of Rocky Road and erm..vanilla please" Ready with the four sickles, she sighed and looked around the small counter. There was a man to her right, dark haired, green eyes, looking more like the walking dead. Her eyes widened, "Nathan?? Good lord, how have you been?"

Nathan handed over 4 sickles exactly to the pretty blonde woman, dropping another two into the tip jar on the counter. “Thanks love.” He said attempting another smile. He picked up his ice cream and turned to find a table but he looked to his side when he became vaguely aware of someone saying his name. The familiar, warm and welcoming dulcet tones of his good friend...


A warm smile curled up his lips as he turned to look at Alexa. “Hello love.” He croaked quietly. He moved closer to give her a quick one armed hug, becoming suddenly and embarrassingly aware of how he looked ...that, and the fact that he hadn't washed in days. He cringed inwardly.

“I'm fine thank you.” He replied as he pulled away. The reasons for his current appearance were thanks to combination of reasons - the twins had been born dangerously early... and Egypt was yet to be discharged from St Mungos – she was obviously distraught about her children; and so was Nathan, but he was more worried about her. She looked so pale and stressed he couldn't stand leaving her alone in the hospital.. He had stayed over a few times but it was impossible to sleep in a chair by someone's bed. He had also given up his steady job at the Ministry of Magic to go and work for a newspaper, as Alexa knew. He was secretly (given how minor it seemed in the scale of things) wary about what the future at the Daily Prophet held for him. He applied and took the job on impulse... and his new boss was far from the understanding type.

“You know the twins came early, right?” He asked her. “Egypt's still yet to be allowed home.” He gestured to a table by the window. “Come sit.” He said. “How are you, love?”

Avery smiled and said, "Coming right up hun." She turned and quickly made up both scoops. Once they were ready she placed them on the counter and said, "That will be 4 sickles please."





Avery smiled back up at the man. He was very, very cute. She grinned even more when he put a tip in the tip jar. She smiled and said, "Your welcome. Come back soon." trying not to bat her eyelashes.

Alexa smiled slightly in return, how lovely it was to be carefree. Taking the cone from her, she handed her the change and dropped the rest of her spare change in the tip jar. Her wallet was so much lighter, maybe getting rid of the baggage she'd be able to move on. Watching the banter between the shopkeeper and Nathan, she smirked and rolled her eyes. The poor man had no idea what effect he had on her, and if he did he played it so well.

Nathan looked so relieved to see her, Alexa felt a little embarassed. Watching him pull away, she frowned and pulled him into a tight hug, kissing his cheek. "Christ, Nathan. Your not fine" She knew him pretty well, and his appearance was not that of a man with no problems. As he spoke, she sucked in a breath. She hadn't known, she'd heard that Egypt had gone into Hospital earlier, but she had no idea the twins had been born. "How is she?" She asked, the nurses and doctors could look after the two sweethearts, but her best friend was another matter. There was no cure for anxiety over children. Looking over to where Nathan had gestured, she nodded vaguely. As he asked about her, she shrugged, "I'm fine...how's your job been?" She asked, that was afterall part of the reason she'd come out of Diagon Alley this afternoon.

Lana walked in the ice cream parlor looking for her friend Zoey and ordered two scoops of Chocolate Frog ice cream.

Baby, it's a yummy yummy in my tummy for now! Darla's own little stomach growled and grumbled as loud as a dog, literally, you did not want to hear the sound of her stomach right now. It sounded wrong and disgusting that if you put your ear right beside it, you'd probably have indigestion or ... other unusual acts. She needed some ice cream and this place was the best for ice creams in the whole Diagon Alley. Oh wait, no, it was the only ice cream shop in Diagon Alley.

For today, she was wearing tight jeans and being such a naughty woman that she did not wear robes. Darla, the naughty girl. Some boys liked naughty girls and she was just posing whenever she saw a boy or so outside of the ice cream shop. And they were all staring at her. Pfft, she knew her plan would work.

Darla was the sexiest and most beautiful woman in town. She knew that.

Another grumble came from her stomach and it was probably the last one since for now since when her stomach grumbled like that, it meant that she was going to starve to death if she didn't eat soon. Ugh, I really should have some ice cream. I'm way too skinny for my own good these days. Ugh. "How much do I weigh, now? Probably 70 pounds, I bet." She smirked.

She ran quickly to the store and just put out her hands out to open the door. But when she went in, she knew she made a mistake. Her hips, oh her hips were stuck. Darla tried to push in but she just couldn't...UGHHH!...well she just couldn't budge at all.

Horrible place, I knew it! But she still had the view of the counter from where she was.

"Excuse me miss, may I order from where I am?" She looked at herself and then glared at the counter to see where any shopkeeper or assistant was. They better have a good explanation to this, she could sue them and win a lot of galleons for that! Oh wait--she already had enough money. Pfft, well she could still sue them for fun.

"Oh and could you puhleaaaase stop making such small doors? UGH. You're getting a negative rating from me!" Small doors in shops, they weren't allowed. Many people, including her, could have suffocated from how small the door was.

"Hey there. It's nice to see a customer in here, you know. I was beginning to think we'd go all day without that door even opening once," Bella said, with a soft laugh. It was true. The door to the shop hadn't once been opened since she and Avery reported to work early that morning. They better enjoy the low-key days while they good, though, for when school let out for the summer, chaos would once again erupt. "Anyway, two scoops of Chocolate Frog ice cream coming right up!" When the ice cream had been prepared, Bella held it across the counter for the woman to take. "Four sickles, please!"

Wonder of all wonders, the door opened once again, and a whale extremely large lady attempted to walk in. From her spot behind the counter, Bella could tell that there was no way this woman would ever fit through the normal-sized shop door. "Oh, wait just a moment dear!" Bella said, grabbing her wand and heading out into the front lobby. She was too late, though, for the lady had already moved forward and gotten herself stuck in the frame of the door. Bella had to practically bite down on her lip to keep from giggling.

"No need to order from where you are! I can fix that little issue! You just hang on," Bella said, raising her wand. "Now stand still! I absolutely do not want to hit you with this spell. This is meant for the door frame only, you hear me?" The spell, of course, was Engorgio, which causes an object to swell in size. The lady currently wedged in the door frame did not need to be swelled. Walking forward and aiming directly at the doorframe, Bella exclaimed, "Engorgio!"

Horrible service at this place, I'll make sure to ban it once I become the ... boss in charge of the whole Diagon Alley. Darla didn't even know if she was even going to work at the place at all but from the looks of it, she was at least going to try to make sure the people here learned their lesson on making bigger doors instead of little-itty bitty small ones. She continued to try on getting out of the door but it just seemed to feel more uncomfortable whenever she pushed in.

Some people like Darla never gave up so she continued and her eyes were about to go bloody red since it hurt. It really did and so she was about to curse at the shopkeeper but shut her mouth when she saw that wand. She brought a wand. No. No. Not at all. She knew what the woman was going to do.

"No, STOP. STOP IT, I ORDER YOU BY THE MINISTER OF MAGIC. YOU SHALL----

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKK."

She decided to back off and move her bottom and hips back to where they were but it was too late. Closing her eyes upon the spell, she heard a sound. When she opened her eyes again, she fell on the floor because the whole time she was leaning forward and back and not caring about her balance at all. "UGHHHHHH. YOUUUU..." Going off the floor unusually seemed hard to Darla at the moment because it took her several minutes to just stand up.

But when she was up, she quickly went over to the woman with her bloody red eyes and glared at her. Her wand was currently in her hair, she wished she would stop doing that though since Darla definitely wanted to jinx this girl. Maybe even curse her, yeah that would have been a better choice. The ice cream shop was a HORRIBLE place.

"YOU... YOU CRAZY WOMAN--NO, HAG. YA SEE THIS SLIM SIZE I HAVE RIGHT NOW?" Her MANLY voice came out of nowhere and then she turned 360 degrees to show the woman her petite body. "You could have almost killed ME and my SIZE. WHAT. IS. WRONG. WITH. YOUU?! Again her MANLY voice remained and she didn't stop glaring at this horrible woman.

People these days. She scoffed.

As soon as the spell had been casted, Bella put her wand away and simply watched as the lunatic who'd entered her shop carried on and on with her load of complete nonsense. In all her years of owning the ice cream shop, she'd never once had a customer quite like this woman. She was...big, scary, rude, and annoying. Bella softly laughed and shook her head. Was this woman seriously this upset? What she needed was a nice, creamy, cold helping of delicious ice cream---the family sized version.

Bella just let the "hag" comment slide. I mean, come on, look who it was saying that. "Alright, alright. Look, Miss...erm, Miss...whoever you are. Let's start over, shall we? I'm Bella Greingoth. Welcome to Florean Fortescue's. May I interest you in our selection of delicious ice cream---muggle or magical? We have family sizes!" Bella said, flashing the lady a friendly smile.

Ella entered the Ice Cream Parlor thinking about what flavor she'll buy, when she spotted a rather large woman talking to the shop keeper. She smiled at the shop keeper and the lady before she greeted them both, "Good day." and to the shop keeper, "I'll just wait until you're finished with her."

Glancing back and forth from the other costumer to the door, it seems that she had the hardest time entering the shop. Ella hid a smile, not to offend the latter.

Bella stopped when she heard the door of the parlor open once again, this time revealed a considerably smaller woman...one who could actually fitthrough the door. "Good day to you, too," she said, flashing the woman a polite smile. Bella glared at the larger woman she'd been dealing with, daring her to act up in the presence of another customer. She'd caused enough trouble for one day, thank you very much. "No need to wait until later. Welcome to Florean Fortescue's! What can I get for you today?" she asked.

Ella looked at the other customer, waiting for her reaction. "Well, if it's not too much for me to order first. Can I please have one scoop each of Cookies ‘n Cauldron Cakes and Canary Cream? Could I ask you to put it in one cone? Thanks.

Avery decided that since Bella had her hands full with the other customer she would slide in and save the day. "Don't worry Bella, I got this one." She winked and turned to the lovely young lady and said, "That will be 4 sickles love." Avery turned quickly and started making up the ice cream. Once it was finished, and both scoops in one cone, she turned and said, "That it love?" She smiled and waited.

"Thank you so much, here's 4 sickles." Ella said with a smile. She glanced at Bella, waved goodbye and went out.

J. J. Starr is back from America. He wants to order some ice cream. He asks the lady behind the counter her favorite ice cream flavor so J. J. Starr csn try it.

Avery smiled and replied, "My favorite is butterbeer. Would you like to try a bite?" She waited for a reply, but made a small spoonful anyways, if he didnt want....she sure did.

Lilia walked into the icecream shop looking a little disgruntled after her first day on the job at the Ministry thinking I'm a smart girl but sports are noy my forte and all we are doing right now is paper work on some gobstone incident and I don't know the first thing on that subject, sigh. Lilia walks up to the counter and asks the cashier, "May I have a scoop of chocolate frog ice cream", in as polite a voice as she could manage even though she was not happy at the moment.
