Sweet Shadows
Based on the fanfiction, 'Sweet Shadows'.
The Sweet Shadows were where I once did dwell
Intrigued and captured by night's spell
The darkness was blinding, I could see not a thing
The wind howling, the dead leaves sing
Mourning and crying, they would shriek a sad song
Haunting my footsteps, in a night inescapably long
Then the sun rose, gleaming bright
Stealing my love, saving me from night
From lusting over darkness, came a new day
Purging me of deciet, I prayed for you to never stray
Then abruptly you were taken so cruelly from my life
I long to end the pain on a blade of a knife
I live on, yearing for your brightness
Dreaming day after day of the sun's gentle kiss
Again, I find myself away from the light
Battling for survival, but losing the fight
I watch through bars as grey waves crash against the shore
Praying for you to come, close out the darkness and open a new door
Shining above me is the silver moon, something you fear
I remember those days spent beneath it, days we both hold dear
You are my light in the darkness, my sun, my love
My perfect blue sky, my gift from above
Once my safe haven, but now so far away
Forever, I will wait for the day
Waiting in the darkness, waiting for Cupid's arrows
Waiting for heaven, waiting in the Sweet Shadows.

Alana!! That was so good, and a definite twist on "Sweet Shadows"! I assume that was from Julie's POV? | |

Rose, why do you weep?
You are full of beauty, beauty that runs deep
Was it the thorn that pricked you?
Why is it crying that you must do?
Hurting your lovely petals, does he?
Recoling to the soil, but strong you must be
Let the sun shine down, for you must grow
The hurt is not intentional, you must know
Trying to make you stronger is what he does
For you are his flower, his one true love.
Rose, he knows you weep
But he does not know the scars run so deep
He never intends to hurt you
Bloom is what you must do
Harsh things, says he
But you're stronger, Rose, and must continue to be
Break free from your roots, continue to grow
You know you love him, now he must know
Wilting is something every rose does
But you're not alone, you've found your love.
