Hufflepuff Rodun's Poems

Seasons Change

The leaves begin to fall
they slowly drift to the ground.
My heart skips a beat
winter has come.

The cold slowly begins to take place
where has the happiness gone?
Celebration and thanksgiving once were
Now they are not.

What to expect but the biting, cold wind
Death of rot is not my friend
My eyes look to the sky
Through broken, empty branches.

A silhoutte is passed down
engulfed by the lights from above
This is distance
This is who I have become

Where is my summer warmth?
Where is the comfort of autumn nights?
What happened to my eternal spring?
What broke it all? The golden ring.

Thoughts and aspirations were once in the same.
Now roads have diverged
The snowflakes begin to fall
Finality is soon to become

There is no hand of warmth
No broth or soup from a loved one to help cope with the cold
There is no warm fire-side bed waiting for me anymore.
My comfort, peace and heart are worn

Its upon Him for my survival now.
Where will it lead me?
I dont know...
I just long for the spring morning.

*In reference to a relationship gone bad and a world turned upside down.

Hufflepuff The Dragon

Heat and wispy smoke seem to roll straight down

Embers appear at every breath

The slightest twitch of my eye brings fear

I am eternal

I court the sky in her day and nighttime gown

My being is embodied as the strength within self

My every word can cause mortal flesh to sear

My heat is infernal

My every step is deliberate, too the very last sound

My thoughts are quickly written down by every human and elf

Do you understand what I say and what you hear?

At my appearance, armies bow down, even the last general and colonel.

I am power, and I am heat.

I am the dragon.

Hufflepuff Fallen Angel

Blazing from the skies at a terrible speed,

What had they done to deserve this?

Bright as any shooting star,

What could have made this happened?

As I watched the heavens come down to earth,

All feeling of reality was gone.

Where am I?
Every thought and feeling echoed,

Is this real?

Standing before me there she was

Were the droplets of sweat on my face from fear or excitement?

I plainly fell to my needs and nearly kissed the ground

How was she able to come here?

Suddenly, fear ran cold within me.

What had caused this to happen?
Her wings were blackened and ashing with smoke.

Would she be able to understand me?

I came up off of my knees to face her

Can there be fear at a time like such?

I stared into her eyes.

How can they be so crystal blue?

Fear ran through me again.

Can a heart burst?

My muscles clenched and tightened.

Will I live to understand this day?

She started to stare me in the eye.

She noticed me?

She smiled and opened her mouth.

She can speak?

I was gone at the moment she said it.

Was there any doubt?

I didn’t stand a chance.
Can you change fate?

She spoke those words and I ceased to be.

How could this have happened?

All feeling is lost.

How could her wings have become so burnt and broken?

It was all gone.

Why is there such power in those words?

There was darkness that day.

How can it be?

She said, “I don’t love you anymore.”
