Default Kirsty's Poetry
TAGGED.

Hello and welcome. My name's Kirsty and i've recently started writing poetry (around the start of the year). I get my inspiration from my favourite artists and try my best to make my work my own. Most of my poems are alittle morbid so I hope they'll be accepted here. Almost all of the poems posted here will be from my deviantart account. I was alittle reluctant to post them here but I always love constructive critisism and comments. =) I'll start off my thread with one of my favourites.

Wounds Inflicted by Plastic

Dropped from the moon by a radiant yellow beam
love me, love me, luna baby...
Crying in your corner, the skies a baby blue
Oh, the baby blue lies like your eyes
Make the spark in them dance
like they used to, honey

Fragments of plastic
caught in my throat,
chipped from your heart and disposed
down my windpipe, through my life
Wounds inflicted by plastic
splintered off from your smashed smile
jagged and spiked, stuck into my delicate hands, sad love

The stars caught in a net tonight
thrilling and freedom equals your laugh
the stars my dear, not at all
If they could fall and land so hard I'd bet my own
freedom for sadness that they would
away from your beautiful jovial eyes
masked by a terrorism so wrong it's right
but only tonight?

Plastic falling from the skies
and into my eyes
blinding and drowning
starvation of happiness
don't make me cry, oh, I do love you so
I feel for you like I feel for yesterday
...
longing so

The stars... so beautiful tonight...
smash hard to the ground...
sadness... freedom... starvation...
a broken hearted baby...
happiness... drowning... yesterday, oh, sweet yesterday...
Make the spark in your eyes dance... like they used to...
