Chapter 1:The Dream

It's Harry's first day back at Hogwarts and he's tired from the trip. After Harry gets settled in, he quickly falls asleep. Soon after falling asleep Harry awakens from a dream very confused. In his dream he and Hermione had gone out on a date and were very into one another. At the end of the date, they kissed. I'm not talkin just a regular kiss, I'm talkin' knocked outta the ball park type kiss. There was pure magic. Electricity even.

"Whoa, what was that about?" Harry whispered over Ron's snores. People say that we dream about our deepest desires and secrets. Can Harry be secretly in love with Hermione and not know it?

The next day...
"Hey Ron, you ever had a really weird dream that freaked you out?" Asked Harry trying to be casual.

"Um, no. Not really. Why are you asking Harry?" replied Ron curiously.

"Oh no reason. Just curious I guess," said Harry nervously.

"Hey guys," said Hermione.

"Hey Hermione," Harry and Ron said together.

"Harry, you're blushing. Are you ok?" asked Hermione.

"Ah yeah. Just a little hot I guess," said Harry continuing to blush.

"Ok. I'll see you guys later. I have to meet someone." said Hermione excitedly.

"Who?" Ron demanded.

"It's none of you're concern. Bye." Hermione rushed out to meet whoever she was meeting.

"I wonder who she's meeting," Ron said curiously.

"Me too," replied Harry.

Later that evening Hermione returned to the common room with a glow about her. Harry had never noticed how beautiful she was.

"You look different, what happened?" Harry asked.

"Oh, I was just hanging out with this guy I met." Hermione said smiling.

"For seven hours?" asked Harry with a puzzled expression on his face.

"Oh, was it that long? I guess it's true what they say, time flies when you're having fun. Well good night," Hermione said continuing to smile about her wonderful day.

"Good night."

While everyone had gone off to bed, Harry remained in the common room thinking.

In Harry's Mind
What could that dream have possibily meant? Why would I dream about Hermione? Who's this guy she saw today? Man, if Hermione kisses in real life like she kissed in my dream, I wouldn't mind dreaming about her more often. Whoa, what are you thinking? It's Hermione you idiot. Remember your friend, who happens to be really attractive. It's not that weird that I find Hermione attractive is it? She is, and smart, passionate. I love the way she studies. Snap out of it you fool. It's Hermione. I wonder if she finds me attractive. After Harry thought to himself for hours, he finally dozed off still in the common room.

I'm the first to post!!!! That was reall good! It's unique because most people do a Harry-Ginny thing or Ron-Hermione thing but never a Harry-Hermione thing...I'm really interested to see what happens next!

Chapter 2:Learning The Truth

"Wake up Harry!" said Ron. "Nice p.j.'s Harry." said Hermione. "Oh, thanks." Harry started blushing again. "Harry, you're blushing again. Your still hot?" Asked Hermione. "Yeah Hermione." Replied Harry blushing a darker shade of pink. "You better hurry up mate, classes start soon." Ron said. "Ok" Harry said back. "I'll see you guys in class, I have to meet up with someone." said Hermione. "That guy again?" Ron asked curiously. "Not that it's any of your business, but yes. Just so you know, his name is Kevin." She rushed off carrying her usual amount of books. "I want to know alittle more about this Kevin character." Said Harry jealously. "Me too Harry." said Ron.

Later that day in Snape's class, Harry couldn't help but stare at Hermione. He loved the way she annoyed Snape by answering every question correctly. "Pay attention Potter!" yelled Snape from the front of the class. "Sorry professor." replied Harry. "Yeah, I bet you are Potter. Class, You can thank Mr. Potter for your four rolls of parchment paper on the importance of paying attention in class." said Snape smirking. "Oh man. Great going Harry." said the class.

Later that day in the common room
"Hey." Said Hermione happyly. "Hi Hermione." said Ron and Harry together. "Ronald, instead of playing chess with Harry you should be starting Professor Snape's essay." said Hermione annoyingly. "Oh Hermione don't start, please." pleaded Ron. "Can you help me with mine Hermione?" Harry asked both wanting the help and hoping to find out more about Kevin. "Ok. I suppose I can help you out." Said Hermione. "Thanks." Harry said thankfully. Harry and Hermione worked well into the night. "I really appriciate you helping me on professor Snape's stupid essay." said Harry with a smile on his face. "It's no problem Harry." When Harry reached over Hermione to grab more ink, he couldn't help himself and took a whife of her hair. Lucky for him Hermione didn't notice.
In Harry's mind
Wow, her hair smells so good. Like fruit or something. Hello, are we forgetting something? She's your friend. So what if she is. She's beautiful. I just love how serious she looks when she's working. You know what, who cares if she's my friend. She's the first girl I ever trusted and the first girl I found attractive. When she annoys me about school work, it's even adorable. "Harry, stop wondering into space and focus." Hermione demanded. "Oh sorry Hermione. Who's this Kevin guy, where did you meet him?" Harry asked. "He's my boyfriend. I met him in Diagon Alley while I was picking up my new school books. He saw that I had too many books to carry and helped me. From there we just hit it off. He's a 7th year in Ravenclaw." Replied Hermione. "Oh well good for you." Harry lied. He was crushed, so he made an excuse to leave. "I'm getting a bit drowzy so I think I'll turn in for the night." He lied. "Ok, but I want to finish this tomorrow." Said Hermione determinedly. "Ok" Harry yelled back as he stormed up to the boys dorm.

Harry went to his four poster bed and get dressed for bed. He got into bed, and started thinking while staring up at the ceiling.
In Harry's mind
A boyfriend? A boyfriend? I can't believe this and he's one year older than her. This is just great. As if I didn't feel ackward around her as it is, now I'm going to have to hide the fact that I'm jealous. After thinking a lot he fell asleep.

Chapter 3:Watching From A Distance

The next day Hermione didn't join Harry and Ron at the Gryffindor table. She was at the Ravenclaw table. "I guess that's Kevin." Said Ron. "Yeah, looks like it." Said Harry squeezing his fist together. "Harry, what's the matter? You look ******. Are you jealous?" Asked Ron. "What, don't be ridiculas. Of course not." Harry lied badly. Ron wasn't convinced. "You are! I can't believe this. You like Hermione!" Ron shouted, but no one heard from all the commotion in the Great hall besides Harry. "Would you keep your voice down. It doesn't matter. Even if I do she's still with Kevin. Plus she doesn't feel the same way." Said Harry regretably. "So you admit it?" asked Ron in both shock and amazement. "Yeah I admit it. I have feelings for Hermione. She looks happy doesn't she?" Said Harry jealously. "Yeah she does." Replied Ron. "You ok with me liking Hermione?" asked Harry nervously. "Yeah, no problem. I think of Hermione as a sister." Said Ron with a laugh. "Cool." Said Harry relieved that Ron wasn't mad. "Look Harry, you have to tell her how you feel." Ron said seriously. "I can't. She wouldn't feel the same way and things would get ackward between us." Replied Harry. "You'll never know until you try." Ron said trying to help out his friend. "Maybe you're right." Harry responded. Just then Hermione got up with Kevin and disappeared into the great staircase. "I'll see you later Ron." Said Harry getting up to leave. "See ya." Harry followed Hermione and Kevin to see what they were up to. They were holding hands and whispering to eachother. They ended up in an area Harry didn't even know existed. Harry made sure that he was out of sight, but still could see them. Kevin was an extremly attractive young man. He was tall with dark brown hair and hazel eyes. "I really like you Hermione. I think you're wonderful." Said Kevin smiling. "I really like you too Kevin." Hermione said while starting to blush a bright pink. After that Kevin planted a kiss on Hermione. She was still blushing and continued to kiss him. "What are you doing Potter?" Asked Malfoy from out of nowhere. "Nothing Malfoy." Harry said trying not to draw attention to himself. "ILL! Granger is making out with someone." Draco said that so loadly that Hermione heard him. She was shocked to find Harry there because it wasn't like him to follow her. Plus, she thought she was alone. "Harry, what are you doing here?" Hermione asked surprised. "Oh Potter here was just watching you snogging some guy." said Malfoy as if this was an extra treat. "Get out of here Malfoy!" yelled Harry furiously because he had been caught because of him. "Ok. This is getting disgusting anyway. Who would have guessed that that Mudblood would find someone stupid enough to kiss those lips?" Malfoy said with a big smile on his face and a glitter in his eyes. "Calling me a Mudblood doesn't fase me anymore Malfoy. Unless you want me to hex you, I suggest you leave now." said Hermione dead serious. Malfoy left with a grin on his face. "I'll talk to you later Kevin. I have to deal with this." Hermione gave Kevin a kiss on the cheek goodbye. "Ok" said Kevin. "You, come with me." said Hermione angryly.

Hermione dragged Harry to the common room.

"What did you think you were doing?" Hermione demanded. "I don't know." Harry replyed. "Why were you spying on me?" Hermione asked angryly. "I don't know." Harry repeated. "I don't know, I don't know. Is that all you can say? Did Ron put you up to this?" She demanded. "Ron, no. I followed you all by myself. I wanted to see what you and this Kevin guy were up to." Harry managed to say. "Well, why?" Asked Hermione with an confused look on her face. "Why do you care?" She asked still confused. "Because I was jealous." Harry mumbled under his breath. "What did you say?" Asked Hermione because she hadn't heard him. "I said, because I was jealous!" Harry shouted out, even though he hadn't meant to. "What? Why would you be jealous?" Asked Hermione even more confused than before. "Haven't you figured it out yet?" Harry said disbelievingly. "I obvisiously have not." said Hermione still confused, but a little annoyed. "Because I like you. o.k." Harry didn't think telling Hermione would end up this way. "You, You like me?" Hermione said not believing what she had just heard. "Yes. I think you're beautiful." Harry said smiling. Hermione couldn't believe what she was hearing. She was in utter shock. She managed to say... "You think I'm beautiful?" "Yes, very beautiful. I can't stand seeing you with another guy." Harry said truthfully. "I, I can't believe what you're saying. This is crazy. I gotta get out of here." Replied Hermione. "No, don't go." Said Harry. Hermione didn't listen and ran upstairs. Over the next few days, Hermione didn't talk to Harry. She made sure that she was never alone with Harry. Then one night, everyone in the common room had gone off to bed except Harry and Hermione. "Well, I think I'll turn in for the night." Hermione said trying to avoid Harry once again. "Don't go. I want to talk about this. You've been avoiding me." Harry said seriously. "I'm sorry Harry, but it's just too ackward to be around you anymore. I don't feel the same way about you as you feel about me." Said Hermione truthfully. "I was afraid of that. Are you sure?" Harry asked hopeful. "Yes. I mean you're not bad to look at, but I just never thought of you like that." Replied Hermione. Harry was grateful for her honesty. At least she didn't find him un-attractive. That was a glem of hope. "Oh. Well could you give me a chance to change you're mind?" Asked Harry. "What do you mean?" Hermione replied confused. "Can I take you out on a date?" Harry asked hopefully. "A date? No. I'm with Kevin remember." Said Hermione loyal to Kevin. "Are you exculsive?" Harry just blirted anything he had to say to her. "No." Hermione said. "So, that means you both can date other people." Harry said smirking. "I know what that means." Hermione said annoyed. "So date me." Harry said hopeful. "No. I don't like you like that. Now good night." As Hermione turned to leave, Harry turned her around and planted a kiss and her. It was the best 10 seconds of Harry's life. People say that if a kiss lasts longer than 5 seconds, then it's multral. Then Hermione broke apart from Harry and slapped him hard across the face.

Chapter 4:After The Slap

"Ouch! What did you do that for?" Harry asked in shock, touching his cheek. "Because you had no right to kiss me." Hermione replied seriously. "So you had to slap me?" Harry asked still in shock that he had been slapped. "That's what you get for planting one on me like that." Hermione said hotly. "So you're saying you didn't feel anything when I kissed you?" Harry asked curiously. "No. I didn't feel anything. Just sorry for you because you like me and I don't like you back." Hermione replied honestly. "You're lying. I felt something powerful." Harry said truthfully. "No, I'm not lying. Look Harry, I'm really sorry. Just face the facts, I'm with Kevin." Hermione said in an matter of fact sort of way. "So what. Dump him!" Harry shouted again without meaning to. Hermione looked a little scared. Harry noticed and quickly apoligized. "It's ok Harry. Sometimes you remind me of Ron with your temper." Hermione said. "I know. It's Just with everything that's happened, Voldemort, Cedric, Sirius, my parents, and now you. It's just not easy." Harry replied. "I understand." She gave Harry a hug because she felt he really needed it. "Goodnight Harry." "Thanks for the hug. It helped. Goodnight." Hermione smiled and went up to the girls' dorm.

In a few days it was going to be the holidays. Christmas came fast to Hogwarts. Hogwarts had the usual decorations. Hagrid of course had his usual job of getting the trees from the Forbidden Forest. To everyone in the castles delight, there was miseltoe all around the school. Everyone was in good cheer. Even Malfoy seemed nicer. He wasn't calling Hagrid an oaf as much. All around Hogwarts you could see people getting caught underneathe the miseltoe and submitting to a kiss. As Harry was on his way to the library he saw Ron and Lavender Brown kissing under the miseltoe. When Harry turned the corner he had to hide out of site because he couldn't believe what he saw. He saw Draco and Ginny kissing. "ILL." Harry thought to himself. When they broke apart Ginny said, "You're not such a bad kisser Malfoy." "You're not so bad yourself Weasley." This was the beginning of a really weird day. Harry even saw Professor Dumbledore and Professor McGonagall kissing under the miseltoe. Harry was sure that that was the weirdest kiss he saw all day, even weirder than Draco and Ginny. As Harry got to the library he saw Hermione standing right under the miseltoe. This was his chance. He was going to go for it, even at the risk of getting slapped again. "Hello beautiful." said Kevin from out of nowhere. "Oh, hi Kevin." Hermione said in surprise. "Look up." Said Kevin. "Oh, miseltoe." Hermione said smiling. "Yeah. One good thing muggles came up with." He started kissing Hermione. They were kissing awhile until Harry couldn't take it anymore. He broke them up and punched Kevin in the face. His nose started bleeding. "Ouch. What the h*** was that for!?" Kevin demanded. "Harry, are you crazy!" Hermione yelled in shock. "I didn't mean to. I just got jealous." Harry said truthfully. "Well, look what your jealousy has done." Hermione said while looking at Kevin's bloody nose. Kevin's nose looked broken, there was a lot of blood. "Come on Kevin, I'll take you to the hospital wing. I can't believe you Harry." As Hermione took Kevin to the hospital wing, Harry just stood there in shock. He couldn't believe what he had done.

I am going to upstate today. I won't be around a computer all day. I might be able to return sunday.

that was good...it's getting juicy...i truthfully think that Hermione felt something with Harry but she doesn't want to admit it. lol...

Chapter 5:Christmas Night

Hermione returned to the common room later that night. "How's Kevin?" Harry asked honestly concerned. "As if you care. How could you hit him like that?" Hermione asked furiously. "I just got so mad seeing you two kiss, that I lost it. I'm sorry Hermione. So is he o.k.?" Harry asked once more. "Yeah, Madam Pomfrey worked her magic on him and made his nose as good as new again." Hermione said glad for magic. "Good. I'll apoligize later to him, o.k.?" Harry said. "O.k. Well good night." Said Hermione tiredly. "Wait. I want to show you something." Harry said smiling. "Now?" Asked Hermione confused as to what Harry could possibly want to show her at this hour. "Yeah, come on." Harry grabbed his invisability cloak, Hermione's hand, and headed for the Astronomy tower. It was a beautiful night. The air was warm and pleasant. All the stars were out and bright. There was a gorgeous full moon. The atmosphere was perfect. "This is a beautiful night, Harry." Said Hermione admiring the night sky. "I know. It's perfect. That's why I wanted you to see it." Harry said smiling. "Harry, ever since today when you punched Kevin, I've been thinking. You must really like me to get that jealous." Hermione said smiling slightly. "Hermione, I don't like you." "What? But I thought you said ..." "I love you." Harry blirted out. "Oh, Harry. I don't know what to say." Hermione said in shock. "Having all these feelings for you, has sort of sneeked up on me. I never thought I could fall for you this fast. Look, you don't have to say anything . I just wanted to tell you how I felt." Harry said smiling because he had finally gotten that off his chest. "Well, I'm sorry. This is all new to me. I still haven't fully processed the fact that you like me." Hermione replied. "It's o.k. I understand how you feel. It's still a little weird to me too." Harry said. "Yeah." Hermione agreed. Harry wanted to change the subject as quickly as possible to get out of this ackwardness. "You won't believe what I saw today." Harry said. "What?" Hermione asked curiously. "Malfoy and Ginny kissing." Harry said with a little laugh remembering seeing them kissing. "What! Is she crazy?" Hermione shouted in outrage and disbelief. "They seemed to enjoy it. But that's not all, I saw Ron and Lavender Brown kissing too." "Well, I knew that was bound to happen. Draco and Ginny is unexpected though." Hermione said still in shock. Harry just smiled at Hermione. "What?" Hermione asked. "You look so cute when you're confused and in shock." Harry said. That made Hermione feel a little uncomfortable. "I just want you to know, I'll wait for you. As long as it takes." That made Hermione feel even more uncomfortable. Like Harry, she quickly changed the subject. "So did you tell Ron that you like me?" "Yeah, he's fine with it." Replied Harry. "Why?" Hermione said confused once more. "He said that he thinks of you as an annoying sister." Harry said with a laugh. "Oh, really. Well, he's like the annoying brother I never had." Hermione replied. They laughed together. Hermione had a great laugh. Harry and Hermione left the Astronomy tower under the invisibility cloak. Harry enjoyed being so close to her. It was the perfect night.

Other than punching Kevin and feeling guilty about it, Harry's christmas was relatively pleasant. Harry got a new sweater from Mrs. Weasley and a whole bunch of chocolate frogs from Ron. Hermione got him new p.j.'s and a "Guide To Passing The O.W.L.'s", which Harry found useful. Harry had gotten Ron new Quidditch gear and Hermione a dozen roses to show his affection for her. Hermione just blushed and smiled. Before he knew it, it was a new year. Harry had never made a New Year's Revolution before because he thought it was a stupid muggle tradition. This year he made an exception and decided that his New Year's Revolution was to win over Hermione's heart. Ron had suggested to devise a plan to break Kevin and Hermione apart, but Harry refused. He had decided to win over Hermione fair and square. Everyday Harry fell more and more in love with Hermione. It killed him to see her with another guy. It hurt him even more that she didn't return his feelings. He wasn't going to let that get him down. Every time he saw Kevin and Hermione holding hands or kissing, it made him sick to his stomach. He had apoligized to Kevin like he said he would and Kevin said "No hard feelings." "Hey Ginny." Harry said to Ron's little sister. "Hey Harry. What's up?" Ginny asked. "Nothing much. By any chance did Hermione tell you about me?" Harry asked curiously. "Yeah, she's my best friend remember. We talk about everything." Said Ginny. "Does she talk about me?" Harry asked hoping she did. "Yes. She feels terrible that you like her and she doesn't feel the same way." Ginny said. "Oh. Anything else?" Harry asked hopeful. "Yeah, she told me you punched Kevin in the face." Ginny began to laugh. "I would have loved to see that. Imagine a 6th year making a 7th year bleed." Ginny said continuing to laugh and smile. "Do me a favor. Tell Hermione not to worry about me." Harry said seriously. "O.K." Ginny understood. "And tell her that I'll still wait for her." Harry said. "Alright Harry. I'll tell her. Between you and me, I want you and Hermione together. Hermione just needs more time to see what she has in you." Ginny said honestly. "Thanks, now I have two Weasleys' on my side." Harry replied. Ginny just smirked.

That was great! I hope Hermione sees how much she really loves Harry! PAMS PAMS PAMS!!!!
