Chapter 15:
Face To Face

Rose stood out the Great Hall, still taking in deep breaths. Inhale...exhale...inhale...exhale. She touched the necklace that hung around her neck. Her parents had given it to her on her sixteenth birthday and it was very, very special to her. Rose glanced up at the clock that hung above the oak doors. 7:50. Well, it was now or never.

Rose slid her mask down over her eyes, adjusted her tiara and smoothed out the wrinkles in her dress. Taking in one last breath, Rose made her way into the Great Hall. It was pretty dark inside, but the candles that lit the sky gave enough light for you to see a lot of the bizarre costumes.

Rose stood, standing in front of the doors. Heads turned to look at her and the whispering began. Rose smiled a little as people complemented her costume. Might as well make my way towards the center...

Scorpius turned his head towards the oak doors as they swung open. Wow this person was a little late, He thought. He cranned his neck a little to the side to see who it was, and his mouth opened slightly. In the doorway stood a rather pretty girl. She was probably even more pretty if the mask was covering part of her face.

"Uh Scorpius? Yo ho! Scorpius?" Kelly said, waving a hand in front of Scorpius's face. "It's eight o' clock." She said when Scorpius finally released that Kelly was standing in front of him, hopping up and down, trying to get his attention. "Oh, right! Thanks Kel." He said looking down at his watch. He glanced up to see if the late comer was still there, but she was gone.

Rose walked through the crowd, thanking people as more and more compliements flew her way. And then she emerged into the center, just at the clock in the background began to chime. He was already standing there, his back turned to hers. Hmm...the back of his head looked oddly familiar....oh well. Taking in a deep breath (man she was breathing deeply today...), Rose walked over to him and tapped him on the shoulder.

He turned around slowly, as if the slow motion button on a remote had been pressed. Rose caught her breath, releasing who it was. He looked at her, smiling. Finally, they were face to face.

Chapter 16:
Prince Charming

How could Scorpius Malfoy be her prince charming. No way was it him. Was this some sort of joke? Pinching her self mentally, Rose released that it, infact was not a dream. Taking in a deep breath (look, another one), she smiled. "Uh, well looks like were finally face to face, huh?" She said. Scorpius's grin grew. "Yup, never thought it would be this soon."

The upbeat song that had been playing stopped, a new, slower song fading in. Couples started to pair up, rocking back and forth in each others arms. Scorpius and Rose stood in the center of all this, looking akaward. "Do you wanna dance?" Scorpius asked, looking down at his shoe. Rose nodded, unsure exaclty what to say.

As they swayed back and forth, they chatted, talking about normal things. Not once did Scorpius ask what Rose's name was. He wasn't doing it on purpose, but he simply forgot. As the song ended, Rose and Scorpius let go of each other, smiling just slightly. "So, do you maybe want to go for a walk?" He asked looking down at his watch. They still had a half hour.

Rose bit her bottom lip, considering if wether she should go. In a half hour she would have to met her cousins back in the common room. Their parents were coming to pick them up for the weekend break. And if her father found out that she had been talking a night walk with Scorpius Malfyoy, things would not go very well.

"Sure, why not." Rose finally said smiling. She took Scorpius's hand. Why did it feel so tingly? They walked down to the grounds, their conversations starting all over again.

You'll see her special necklace later in this chapter. It's gonna be a big part of this story.

Chapter 17
Twenty Questions

Rose and Scorpius had stopped in the bamboo garden during their walk, and were now seated on a bench playing Twenty Questions while eating Bertie Bott's Every Flavored Beans. If they answered yes, they wouldn't have to eat a bean, if they answered no, they would have to eat a bean. So far they were on Question #18.

"Alright, do you have any siblings?" Scorpius asked, gagging on from the taste of his bean. Paint flavored. "One." Rose said giggling at Scorpius. Aww, he was cuter dressed up like prince charming! "K, my turn. Um...did you good on your O.W.Ls?" Scorpius had to think for a minute. He had did so-so. So would that mean he had to eat the bean or not eat the bean? Then again he had gotten a two 'T's'...eat the bean...

He looked down in the book and pulled out a mildly yellow colored bean. He looked at his mystery girl, who was grinning evilly. Then slowly he put the bean in his mouth and chewed. He sighed with relief as the taste of honey filled his mouth. Thank goodness...I can't handle another disgusting bean. First it was dirt, then glue, then caterpilliar, then egg yolk, then prune, then paint, and now finally a good flavored bean!

"Last question." Scorpius said. "Do you...do you have a boyfriend?" Rose, who had been watching a couple of pixies fly above them, looked down and at Scorpius. "Sorry, what?" She asked. "Do you have a boyfriend?" Scorpius asked again looking at her.

Rose reached her hand out to pick out a bean, but Scorpius grabbed her hand in his. Looking up at Scorpius, Rose caught her breath. He looked so...so perfect. They locked eye contact and slowly they leaned towards each other until there lips touched. They parted after a few seconds, both blushing. Rose bit her bottom lip, trying her best not to smile.

And then something struck her. She had to meet her family! "Uh what time is it?" She asked looking at Scorpius. "Uh, 7:40. Why?" Scorpius asked looknig down at his watch then back at Rose confused. "I have to go!" She leaped up and started making her way towards the gate. "Wait why?" He asked getting up. But he didn't get an answer, Rose had already left the the garden.

Scorpius ran out of the garden to follow his mystery girl, but she was already gone. He sighed running a hand through his hair. Was he really that bad of a kisser? He began making his way back to the castle, but he stopped when he noticed something on the ground. It was sparkling. Bending down to get a closer look, Scorpius picked it up and released it was the mystery girls necklace.

Well thats it for tonight! I'll have another chapter up tomorrow hopefully, but if I don't.....

Can't say I didn't warn. I mention in the first chapter it would be like A Cinderella Story.

Even thought Cinderella isn't my favorite princess...she's number my fourth favorite princess. Belles at that top, but I don't think someone as smexi as Scorpius could be Beast.

And I plan on eating a lot tomorrow, and I mean a lot! Happy Thanksgiving!

Ariel is my favorite disney princess. Although if you're talking non-mermaids it would also have to be Belle.

That is true, Scorpius could never be Beast. xDD
Well over here in Ohio it's already Thanksgiving.

yeah i noticed that,

...well when i was a kid i read about cinderella alot and i loved her ball dress but then once i came across Belle i liked her much more than Cinderella...

Happy Thanksgiving Everyone! Even if you don't celebrate it! Like I said last night, I'm going to post another chapter today and here it is!

Chapter 18
Evil Laughs & Angrey Dads

While Scorpius and Rose played Twenty Question someone was watching them the whole time, watching and planning. "Stop it! Your stepping on my foot!" Poppy whispered, shoving Catalin away from her. "You ripped my outfit!" Catalin said, pulling a piece of white fabric off branch. "Well my halo got torn off my when she ran under that tree." Jenn said huffing. "Will both of you just shut up! I can't hear what there saying." Poppy whispered, keeping her eyes focased on Rose and Scorpius's figure.

"Who is she?" Catalin asked pushing some leaves out of the way to see. The three were hunched in a bush across from where Rose and Scorpius sat. There angel costumes were enchanted so the sparkles on them wouldn't be reflected by the moonlight. "I don't know, but I like her dress, think she'll let me borrow it?" Jenn asked. "Shut. Up." Poppy said. Why did I let them come along?

They sat there for half an hour, waiting and watching. "Is anything intersting happening now Poppy?" Jenn asked picking up a handful of grass and letting it fall to the dirt again. "No, there just talking...wait! Somethings happ-" Poppy stopped mid way through her sentence, her mouth open with shock. "What, Poppy? What's happening?" Jenn and Catalin asked, trying to see past Poppy. "He...he...kissed her!"

"WHAT!"

"Be queit you two!" Poppy saying glaring at them. "Lets go back to the party, I need to find out who this mystery girl is." Quietly they manuvered through the bushes, finally reaching the castle. They stood in the entrance. "Alright, Catalin, you ask the Hufflepuffs, Jenn you ask the Ravenclaws, I'll handle the-"At the moment the doors burst open and in ran the mystery girl. "Well well well, look who's here." Poppy said smirking and crossing her arm over her chest.

"Uh, sorry, but I really need to get going." Rose said walking over to the stairs. "Wait, we wanna talk to you." Poppy said. "Look, I really need to go." Rose said as she began climbing the stairs. Suddenly she felt a arm grab hers and nail dig into her skin. "Stay away from Scorpius, he's mine." Poppy said glaring at Rose. She smiled and let go. "K, bye." Rose stared at her for a second and then dashed up the stairs.

"She's scared." Poppy said walking back to her two friends. "Really?" Catalin asked. "Yup. I finally have Scorpius in my reach. Mwhahaha!" Poppy said, her evil laugh booming in the entrance hall. Jenn and Catalin looked at each other then at Poppy. "What.Was.That?" Catalin asked. "My evil laugh, duh!" Poppy said rolling her eyes. "I swear, you two can be so clueless at times."

Rose reached the protrait hole, panting. She had ran up seven floors and she was exashsted. "Gob-Gob-Goblin." She said giving the Fat Lady the password. The lasy looked down at her, raising an eyebrow. "How do I know your a Gryffindor?" She asked. Rose rolled her eyes. She was already more than five minutes late. Ripping her mask off, Rose pointed at herself, yelling, "It's me Rose!" The Fat Lady frowned and swung forward, allowing Rose inside.

Rose dashed in through the protrait hole, praying her family would be late. But no luck. Ron and Hermione Weasley sat on couch. Ron's face was red with anger while Hermione tried to calm him down. Harry was talking with Albus and Hugo, and Ginny was making fun of Lily's devil horns. They all looked up as Rose entered the common room. "Haha...uh, hi." She said trying to smile. Ron stood up and walked over to his daughter. "Where have you been?!" He asked.

"Ronald, calm down, I'm sure Rosie has a perfect explanation as to why she's late...don't you?" Hermione asked walking up to her. "And you look very pretty Rosie, I really like the dress." She added. Rose smiled a thank you. "I was out on a walk...with some friends." She said. She glanced over at Hugo, Albus, and Lily. They nodded their heads, understanding what Rose was trying to tell them. "She was! We saw her leave." Lily said.

"How do we know that you aren't ly-" Ron began, but his wife cut in. "If Rose says she was out with friends, she was out with friends. She's never lied to us, why would she start now?" She turned her attention to Rose. "Go change Rosie, we'll wait for you." Rose nodded her head and ran up to her dorm changing.

Wait...where's my necklace? She thought touching her neck. No it wasn't there. Oh no, it must have fallen off when I was leaving the garden!

"ROSE, HURRY UP!" Ron's voice yelled. "I'm coming!" Rose yelled back, panicing. What was she going to do? What if her parents asked where her necklace was? "ROSE, IM GOING TO COUNT TO THREE AND IF YOU DO-" Her fathers voice came again.

"RON JUST LEAVE HER ALONE! YOUR HEAVENS SAKE!"

Rose smiled a little. Thank you Aunt Ginny, your a life saver. Deciding she'd think about the problem later, Rose made her way downstairs. "Sorry, my tiara got caught in my hair." She said. Ron mumbled something under his breath, recieving an elbow jab from Hermione. "That's alright, now can we please go?" Everyone nodded and off they went.
