Chapter Ninety – Three

“So Harry, what’s going on?” Draco said bottle in hand.
“What do you mean?” Harry asked back, Hermione had gone home, Ginny was asleep it just left him to be interrogated, they’d been talking for how long and now it came to this -
“You and Ginny, you’re all like secretive about something”
Harry laughed “Nothings going on”
“Come on, I’m not stupid Harry, you too are smiling and whispering about something are you engaged and not telling?”
“Nope”
“I should let you know I was taught to pick out liars as a death eater, I know when people are lying to me” he grinned,
“You know I’m lying but you don’t know what it’s about” he chuckled taking a sip of his drink,
“There’s not that many possibilities” Draco said with a shrug “Engaged, secretly married, knocked up, planning to run off together, planning to murder Ron”
“Murdering Ron would be something me and Gin would be smiling about?”
“Yeh well maybe not that one – I’d be smiling though” he joked and Harry laughed shaking his head,
“I could smile at that too after today; its going to be fun tomorrow night isn’t it”
“Oh yeh, like feeding blast ended skrewts fun”
Harry swore annoyed with himself, “I guess only Amy can get though to him now” He wished he’d just kicked him out and left it at that.
“She’s good at that, very persuasive, I think she’s probably denying him a lot more then we think with this agreement they got going” smirked Draco and Harry laughed,
“You would know” Harry smirked,
“Ha, ha but I was never denied anything”

“Why when boys talk does it always turn to sex?” Said the voice from the doorway, Ginny was standing there smiling arm’s folded, glass of water in hand, leaning against the frame, Draco’s face was smirking and Harry was struggling to find something to say.

“It just does”

“Of course” She said and put the glass down on the coffee table. She walked slowly over to him, removed the bottle from his hand and sat on his lap, her back to Draco, her legs either side of Harry’s,

“Now, I just can’t see the fascination with it” she said and took a sip from his bottle smiling sultrily to Harry before handing the bottle back.

She put her hand to his collar bone, running along it with her fingertips, the other clutching at his hair, placed at the back of his head,

“I mean” her face leaned in closer to his, her hand moving down slowly, Draco was still sitting opposite trying not to laugh, “It’s just sex” she pulled away her face from Harry, keeping her hands on his thigh and back of his head turning to Draco
“Right Draco”
“Erm… yeh… right…” He stumbled and Harry laughed quietly,
“That’s not nice Harry” she said her head turning back to him, her hand at the top of his jeans and he gulped, wondering why he was nervous.

“And you’ve got to be nice or you don’t get anything” She grinned leaning in a little, “Anything at all” she whispered, moving in for a lingering kiss before standing up and leaving him in shock.
“Night Draco” she smirked at his expression across the room, and left. Harry sat in surprise, got the message and stood up “Night” he grinned before basically sprinting from the room and up the stairs after her.

Harry woke up, the bed was empty beside him and he rolled over. She was standing in front of the mirror poking her belly in her underwear.

“Gin, what are you doing?”
“Looking” she turned to the side, there was the slightest of curves “He’s getting bigger”
“Isn’t that a normal thing for a foetus to do?” He grinned, and she stuck her tongue out at him in the mirror.
“It’s just seeing it happen” she said, and he stood up walking up behind her, wrapping his arms round her so his hands rested on the curve, hers on top of his and his head perched on her shoulder.
“If he’s noticeable to me”
“He or she is not necessarily visible to everyone else, just nick a couple of my t-shirts, you wear them anyway, or we could just tell them if you’re that nervous, Draco nearly got a guess in there last night”

She turned in his arms “What do you mean Draco nearly guessed?!”
“He knows we’re hiding something, he was trained to know when someone’s lying, the whole death eater experience, he just doesn’t know what”

He didn’t mention it was one of his guesses or she’d be even more worried. It was at that moment he was glad they had an en suite bathroom, as he led her there to throw up.

“Being anxious isn’t going to help” he said stroking her hair,
“Says Mr Expert on the subject of morning sickness”

He smiled, only to grimace as she leant over the toilet again. She wiped her mouth with tissue he handed her, drank some water from the glass he held, and he sat on the edge of the bath watching her brush her teeth.

“If you think we’re ready to tell”
“Not yet, otherwise mum will want me to move back in, let her get used to the idea I’ve gone, or we’ll both end up back at the burrow, with separate rooms and a measured distance of three feet between us at all time”
“That’s a bit of a redundant idea, I mean the damage is done” he grinned,
“Won’t stop mum, she’ll end up convincing us both he’ll turn into triplets if we kiss each other again”

Harry sat down, Ginny sat beside him, Draco and Hermione on the couch opposite, Kreacher lead Ron and Amy in.

“Hi guys” smiled Amy brightly, Hermione and Ginny smiled back on the thought that she was at least trying to make amends and Draco and Harry smiling just because she seemed to have the same influence over them as she did with everyone.

‘You couldn’t be mad at Amy for long; just the same as Ginny or Hermione, they were just people that were easy to forgive anything’. – Scratch that thought Harry, ‘they were girls they could get away with anything’
Ginny turned to him smiling ‘Don’t you know it’
‘I need to make my thoughts less obvious’ he grinned, his attention going back to the room, talking with them.

“So Ron, you ready?”
“Ready?”
“For all the grovelling you have to do” Said Ginny, “You’ve been a prat, and we’ve lived for it for the first half of this year and all of the last one but I for one am not doing it anymore”
“Yeh, yeh” he said muttering to himself,
“Ron” said Amy as if telling him something unspoken, Harry and Draco shared a look, and Ginny started to laugh hearing his thought from what they’d said the night before.
“What you laughing about?” said Ron angrily, Harry nudged her gently with a smile on his face, Draco catching his eyes again and understanding as he smiled to.
“Sorry” Ginny snickered, “I’ll stop in a minute – you really shouldn’t think like that with me around” She said smiling.
“I’ll try not to next time” he grinned, “Sorry Ron, that was rude of us, would you like to know what we were thinking – be warned you might not like what you hear about your sister” Harry lied,
“No thanks” said Ron considering it “Your weirdness is your own”
“Wow, what happened to Ron Weasley did you make a clone over night Amy?” Asked Ginny,
“Hey I didn’t come here to be picked on, tell me what you want me to say and I’ll say it so we can get back to normal”
“That’s what you don’t understand Ron, nothing can ever be normal between any of us again and it’s because of you” Said Hermione taking a deep breath.

Ron sighed
“Well I’m sorry about that, but can it get to a stage we’re we can be friends and not told we’re nothing to people” he said looking at Harry, “Or told we’re hated by the people we love” he looked at Ginny, “Not made to feel like crap cause they’ve fallen for someone else” he said to Hermione “And not replaced by someone they’ve all hated for six years and who’s suddenly become the good guy” he said to Draco.

“We’ve only ever said those things because of what you’ve done to us” Put in Hermione “You hurt all of us Ron, you hurt me, and you broke my heart” She looked at him more in pain then anything else, but she wasn’t crying she was just squeezing Draco’s hand.
“And he’s the cure for that then?” Ron asked, looking at Draco
“Yes and now I’m over you, apart from this mess, I want to know why you can’t deal with the fact I’ve found someone else when you didn’t want me anymore”
“It’s that thing where if you’ve lost something you don’t want anyone else to have it”
“You didn’t lose her though Ron” said Draco, “You left her”
He let out a grunt,
“You did” Said Draco, “And now though you don’t like me, Hermione does, we’re together and we’re happy”
Ron sighed and nodded, “Right, so who’s next for me to unoffend?”
“Why don’t you try your sister?” Said Amy folding her arms giving him a look,
He sighed and then with considerable effort started his apology with “So Ginny…”
“Yes Ronald” said Ginny,
“I’m sorry”
Ginny sighed “For what exactly?”
“Everything”
“I’m after specifics here and there are a lot”
“For being consistently on your case about Harry, for saying I didn’t care about you and that argument we had about family, and I’m sorry that I said those things about Harry that made you upset”
“What did you say?” asked Harry,
“You’re not going to be happy”
“Try me”
“When you we’re in that coma, the first time ever and I was still all cut up about the fact you and Gin were together – I kind of said that I was only mad you were hurt because I hadn’t done it myself”

Harry’s fists clenched “Ok”

“And the other times that you don’t know about during the holiday’s where I was as bad as Dean and said you’d only hurt her, and that you didn’t really like her” He said quickly,

Harry’s jaw tightened,

“Harry its ok” Said Ginny she didn’t need to hear his thoughts, she could just feel the anger radiating off him. Her hand went to his cheek and she looked into his eyes “He’s saying sorry, and I didn’t listen to him anyway did I” she smiled softly and he relaxed a little,

“I’m sorry mate, I really am, I never meant any of it, I was just …mad”
Harry sighed and rubbed his forehead “You’ve really messed stuff up between us”
“Yeh I got that much” Ron said with a small smile, “I’m an idiot I know that, but I’ve got a good influence now” he said with a smile to Amy, he held out his hand to Harry,
“I’m sorry Harry, I screwed up, and I’m trying to be better at stuff”
“You say that every time Ron” Harry looked at him and at his hand “Every time you changed your mind about me and Gin, every time something happened you couldn’t cope with, it was sorry I’ll do better next time”
“You’re my best mate; you’re part of my family”
“You sure you want that association Ron”
“As much as I’m feeling like a fool saying this in front of people” he paused “I love you Harry, you’re my brother, I might not like you and you might not like me sometimes but we’re brothers for life”

Harry stood up and shook his hand, somehow it became a brief hug and then a knowing grin to each other that they we’re back to being friends.

Chapter Ninety – Four

“We’re too forgiving aren’t we” Said Ginny that night climbing into bed beside Harry, “I mean we’ve just forgotten everything Ron’s done”
“Not forgotten, just put aside until the next time he messes up” Harry smiled, jokingly,
“That sound about right” She smiled cuddling up closer to him, his arm wrapping around her.
“Now all that’s left is this business with Scrimgeour and telling people about this” He replied his other arm resting on her belly.
“And one is a lot easier then the other”
“Which do you think?”

The weeks passed, they turned into a month and Harry looked at the calendar.
“You know what day it is today, don’t you” he said as she wandered into the room in a towel.
“Yep” she smiled “Today’s the day, it feels good, and I wasn’t sick so it’s even better”
She rifled through the draw putting on underwear as he sat on the bed. He looked at her, three months, the bump was now noticeable to people who looked closely but she’d been hiding under Harry’s t-shirts.
“Today” he said with a smile, taking the his t-shirt from her hand, “You can wear your own clothes”
She laughed “I like your t-shirts, they smell like you”
“You know how creepy that sounds Gin?”
“Yes, but its also kind of adorable” She giggled “And one of the many reasons you love me”
“I can’t deny that” he laughed, she went to the wardrobe taking out one of the many pairs of jeans with a slight enlargement charm on them, and a white singlet. Examining herself in the mirror as she did everyday now, she stroked the bump “Time to tell everyone about you”
“There won’t be much need they’ll look, gasp and then realise” Harry said grinning,
“He’s not that big” Ginny said,
“Say’s you who has been saying people could tell, when you were a month and a half gone”
“It’s been ages since then; he’s what …about three months or a little more”
“When he comes out and he’s a girl I’m going to laugh so much” Harry said and she threw a cushion at him from the bed,
“Oi” he grinned and she threw another smiling at him, saying
“Don’t be mean to the mother of your child then” she perched herself on his knee taking his hand in hers and putting it on the baby bump,
“It’s not weird anymore is it?” He asked,
“Nope, it’s almost normal, which reminds me I took the last of that potion so we’d better go in for that check up”
“Tomorrow, we’ve got stuff to do today”
“Have we decided how to tell them?”
“You said you wanted Hermione to know first has that changed?”
“No, I just don’t want to make it a big deal though”
“Ok, well she stayed over last night so she’ll be downstairs with Draco soon; over breakfast seem like a good time?”
“Yeh, maybe I can have bacon today” She laughed.

They sat down, as Kreacher served out the food. Ginny had a firm grip on Harry’s hand, but a smile was on her face and a bacon sandwich was in the other. Hermione and Draco wandered in placing themselves opposite as they did almost every morning when Draco wasn’t working early and Hermione wasn’t at home with her parents.

“Morning guys” smiled Harry,
“Morning” Yawned Draco pouring out coffee into there cups.
“Hermione” Ginny smiled a little wider now,
“Ginny” she replied in the same tone,
“We’ve got something to tell you”
“Yes…”
Ginny’s use of the English language now began to escape her as she searched for the right way,
“Why don’t you just show her if you can’t get the words out Gin” Harry said with a smile
“Right” Ginny said brightly, she stood up,
“Hermione what’s different about Ginny today?” Harry asked still sitting in his seat.
Hermione looked or squinted to use the more apt term, at Ginny
“Erm – you’re not wearing Harry’s clothes?”
“That’s a start” Harry said smiling,
Ginny laughed “I like his t-shirts there comfy and they smell like him”
“Interesting fashion confession” Hermione said smirking and Ginny stuck her tongue out,
“More like a bit creepy” said Draco laughing
“That’s what Harry said!”Ginny exclaimed “How is it creepy?”
“Back to topic Gin” put in Harry, laughing
“Oh… yeah - ok” she smiled, Harry stood up beside her,
“Madam Pomfrey and McGonagall wanted to talk to us alone after the finals”
“She was a bit sick at the start of the holidays, and she’s only been eating weird stuff and couldn’t stomach meat, the smell of some foods made her puke” He said and Ginny turned to the side,
“He’s been having some trouble adjusting to existence” she said with a small smile, hands on her belly now making it more prominent, even though it was hardly noticeable unless pointed out.
“YOU’RE PREGNANT” Hermione leapt up and squealed “CONGRATULATIONS”
Draco reached and shook Harry’s hand and Ginny let him hug her, which was weird to see.
“How long have you got left? Why didn’t you tell us sooner?”
“We’re reckoning with about five or six months left” said Harry,
“We we’re trying to get over the surprise ourselves to tell people made us so nervous – or at least it made me nervous, Harry’s been the one keeping everything going, helping me keep my sanity”
“But your Mum and Dad haven’t you told them yet?”
“No, we wanted you to know first”
“But-”
“Your family” said Harry “Your part of our new family, which is why”
“We want you to be Godmother” Said Ginny smiling brightly, Hermione looked shocked and then hugged them both again –
“And Draco, mate we want a Godfather too” said Harry, watching his eyes widen,
“You sure you want me to have an influence on one of your kids” he laughed,
“We’re sure” Smiled Ginny “We want to bring everyone together on this, you can be an honorary Weasley if you want” she grinned jokingly,
“I’d be glad to bear that name – its better then Malfoy any day”
“Doesn’t quite go with Draco though does it” laughed Hermione, “I can’t believe it” she smiled happily, “I mean you said before you wanted kids, but this soon”
“It’s been a big surprise”
“But we knew as soon as we found out we wouldn’t have it any other way”
“What are you doing about school?”
“I’m going still” Ginny said a little brighter then all the other times the subject had been brought up.
“Ginny, after a lot of persuasion from me is going back to stay out of trouble”
“She’s pregnant, how much more trouble can she get in” Said Draco with a grin,
“He means trouble as in the mad minister for magic we’ve got at the moment” Smiled Hermione becoming slightly serious for the moment,
“Somehow I’d almost forgotten about him”
“It’s all that time alone you spend with Hermione” Ginny grinned “You’ll be a daddy next”
“Not for a while yet, give us a chance to live together and see if I don’t drive her mad” Draco replied laughing when there was a knock at the door. Harry made a move
“Let Kreacher get it” Ginny said a hand gently placed on his arm and he sat down again,
“It’ll just be Ron” she said sitting back a little in the seat to get more comfortable, the baby belly now obvious in its existence, with her posture.
“Ron” said Harry looking down at her “Your brother Ron” he said trying to get her to recognise what he was saying,
“Oh - yeah – crap” she sat up crossing her hands over her stomach.
“Are you going to tell” Hermione hissed quietly and rapidly and Ginny nodded “Later” as the door opened,
“Morning you lazy lot” yawned Ron plonking himself down in a seat “What’s for breakfast sis?”
“You’ve had breakfast” Amy smirked nudging him with her elbow,
“Brunch then, I’m starving”
“You don’t need to eat by the looks of you Ron or that bit of muscle you’ve got left is going to turn into a another chin”
“Yeh, yeh” he smiled “I’m your brother, you’re supposed to be a hostess when I visit, you’re meant to feed and water your guests”
“You’re not a plant you’re a pain” Ginny grinned, “There’s food on the table isn’t there”
“Yes – it’s polite to ask though”
“Never stopped you before mate” laughed Harry, “You don’t usually have polite, food and Ron in a sentence”
“I told you she’s a bad influence” Grinned Ron, Amy glanced over and winked at him from her seat beside Hermione as they started talking again,
“Seems like it” Smiled Ginny,
“I’m not disagreeing” he laughed,
“So Ron, what are you doing for lunch?” Asked Harry,
“Eh – we we’re going to stay here and steal some of yours or just go back to the burrow, what about you lot?”
“We’re going to come round yours; Ginny wants to see her dad”
“Mum will be disappointed”
“Your not going to tell mum Harry said that” she grinned “We can leave in a couple of hours but what shall we do till then?”
There was a unanimous shrugging of shoulders,
“Let’s go see a film; I haven’t been to a muggle cinema in ages” Ginny suggested,
“Alright, but what do we want to see?”Replied Hermione
“Anything” She smiled “It’s just to occupy time”

*****“Do you think Ron will be mad we didn’t tell him first?”
“Maybe, but it was our choice to make” He replied watching her put on a jacket, after testing a couple to see what looked better on,
“I think I like my body more now it’s pregnant, I’m filling out a bit”
“You only like it because you’ve gone up a bra size” Harry replied smiling,
“You’re not complaining about it, neither am I” she grinned
“Hmm” He replied admiring her figure,
“Could you not think like that now, we’re going out not back to bed”
He smirked “Can’t help it”

“That was a great film” muttered Ron sarcastically,
“Oh yeah” smirked Draco,
“Just because you boys can’t stomach romance” Grinned Hermione,
“It’s not that” Said Ron,
“It wasn’t realistic” Put forward Harry, “It was ridiculous”
“What don’t you think that would ever happen?”
“Not a chance” Harry grinned, “He was a complete sap”
“And you three are tough guys?” Laughed Amy as Ginny and Hermione joined in,
“Better then that dude” Harry said crossing his arms,
“Oh I don’t know about that” Ginny said laughing “You three don’t seem to realise how well trained we’ve got you”
Harry and Draco looked at each other and then to Hermione and Ginny, Ron shrugged, Amy smiled swinging her hand in his.
“Trained – we’re not pet dogs” Said Harry,
“As good as” Grinned Ginny, and Harry turned on her smiling, lifting her up on to the escalator step with him as they stepped on to go down.
“Why don’t they have these in Diagon alley, make life so much easier” said Ron,
“We’re wizards and witches – life doesn’t get any easier then that” Amy smirked
“Oh – yeah”
“You’re too lazy for your own good” Hermione smiled “You don’t need another excuse”
Ron laughed along with them, it felt so good to have friends again that he liked, Seamus and Dean were mates but it wasn’t the same as Harry and Hermione and now even Draco.

They went to the alleyway behind to apparate to the Burrow, Harry steadying Ginny as he apparated them both. “I’m ok” she mumbled swaying a little before putting a hand to her mouth “Not I’m not”,
“Excuse us” Harry grinned turning her round so she vomited over a hedge outside the garden.
“Urgh” groaned Ron, “That’s gross”
Harry rubbed her back as Hermione handed her a tissue from her purse,
“Popcorn didn’t agree with her” he gave as an excuse as they walked inside behind Ron and Amy.

“Feeling better now?” he asked
“Much, let’s walk home” she smiled jokingly to him and he chuckled
“Lets try floo powder; it’s a long way to London on foot – unless you want to catch the Knight bus?”
“Then people will know where we live – we’ll take the fireplace”
Before she could say anything else Molly had her in a bone crushing hug,
“Mum – stop – can’t – breath” Ginny got out and she let go reluctantly,
“It’s been so long since you’ve been home”
“We came round on Friday, it’s only been a week Mum” she complained,
“Are you sure it seems like a lot longer to me”
“It would do – where’s dad?”Asked Ginny changing the subject
“In the garage he’ll be in for lunch in a minute” She said as the figure walked through the door,
“Hello strangers” he smiled widely at Harry, Ginny, Hermione and Draco “I hope you’ve all come for lunch”
“As good as Kreacher’s cooking is now, you can’t beat Molly’s” Smiled Harry and she beamed happily laying out places around the table as they sat down.
They talked and ate until it came to the moment. Harry and Ginny looked at each other smiled and then stood up holding hands. Hermione hid her grin watching as Molly and Arthur looked up from there places.
“So we have a surprise for you all” smiled Ginny,
“We’ve known about it for a little while now, but we wanted things to be right for when we tell you” Said Harry,
Ginny smiled, “Me and Harry… we’re going to have a baby” it didn’t matter what they said now she was going to be happy about this no matter what. Molly gasped, Arthur smiled and Ron just stared.
“Really?” said Molly,
“Really” replied Ginny and Harry together, still smiling but waiting for Ron to speak.

that was AWESOME!!!!!! i wonder what ron will say, i hope he isn't a brat about it again

i loved the part between harry and ginny about the whole arry's shirt thin. it made me laugh so hard. and i'm starting to like the whole hermione and draco better then i did.

Chapter Ninety – Five

“Wow” was the only thing uttered from his lips as they waited with baited breath for his reply.
“Are you ok Ron?” asked Amy,
“I’m good… I’m going to be an uncle” he said grinning from ear to ear.
“Jeez Ron, we thought you would freak out” Sighed Ginny, leaning relaxed against Harry’s side,
“Me freak out at good news, never” he laughed and everyone else joined in.
“You don’t know how good it feels to finally tell people” Said Harry smiling, “We we’re so scared of what you would think”
“Oh Harry” sighed Molly standing up and hugging them, “We’re so pleased for you, we love you and we’re not going to disown you for giving us a grandchild”
She let go and stood back, Harry’s eyes looked directly at Ron
“Mate, come on I’m happy for you guys – don’t look at me like that”
“I believe you, I just…”
“Yeh, yeh, look I know I haven’t been crazy about you two but this, this I’m good with, means you’ve got her forever mate, your stuck with her no matter what happens” he grinned
“Oi” Smiled Ginny hand on hip frowning at him,
“Always said I wanted her forever Ron” Harry Grinned, an arm wrapping round Ginny’s shoulder, squeezing her gently to his side.
“We do have something else to add though” said Ginny starting a little nervously, “A little confession” she held out her hand reaching for Hermione, pulling her with Draco to stand next to them, “We told Hermione and Draco this morning because we wanted to ask them to do something for us”
Ron’s face changed slightly, but he held himself together, Molly looked a little disheartened but smiled,
“We wanted to ask them to be god parents, I mean your going to be an uncle, your going to be grandparents but we want them as family too” Said Harry finishing, what Ginny started.
Hermione smiled a little and then squeezed Ginny’s hand embarrassed.
“Well that’s brilliant” Amy smiled “We’ll all going to be one big happy family, and I for one am glad to be a part of it, It’s nice to have a family who doesn’t want me to kill people” she grinned,
“That’s one positive” Harry laughed, hugging her with his free arm before shaking Ron’s hand. Then he reached the smiling face of Arthur who hadn’t said much. They shook hands
“You look after them Harry, I’m trusting that you will, I saw the heart break in your eyes a month ago and now I understand why” he hugged him proudly “Congratulation’s son”
Harry didn’t know what to say but just hugged him back,
“Dad” sighed Ginny, “He’s going to be brilliant, don’t embarrass him please”
“I’m not I’m just saying how happy I am for you both”
“You know how hard this is going to be don’t you” Said Molly sitting at the table now,
“Mum” Sighed Ginny sitting beside her, she leant against her shoulder smiling and reached out for her hand, taking it and placing it gingerly on her stomach “We’ll be fine, we have each other, we have this baby, we’ve got you guys”
“It’s a lot of responsibility to take on at sixteen”
“I’ll be seventeen, Harry will be eighteen”
“It’s not just your age, your going to miss out on so much”
“I’ve always wanted children, this one’s a little early but we love him all the same, soon as Harry kissed me the first time I knew it was him and me forever, this baby’s a bonus”
Harry took her hand raising it to his lips, pressing it gently to them.
“These two are my life; I’m going to look after them”
“And you said you weren’t a sap this morning” Grinned Ginny standing up to hug him.
“He’s always been a sap” Smirked Ron,
“Your not exactly a tough guy now are you Ronald” Amy said folding her arms and smiling at him,
“But you have to admit, I’m not that bad” he chuckled, and Harry laughed “Well mate I’ve heard some of the stuff you’ve come out with when you had Lavender glued to you – then you and Hermione – your more of a soppy mess then you think” he grinned,
Hermione laughed “I second that”
“So do I” said Amy laughing with Hermione as Draco snickered
“You agree with me that Draco’s just as bad” smiled Hermione to Amy,
“Oh yes, all three of them are confirmed masters at the art of soppy”
“And before you turn on me Molly, I’ll say lets congratulate Harry and Ginny once more” Smiled Arthur raising his glass in a toast “To Harry, Ginny and – Ginny you said ‘him’ before am I right in thinking it’s a boy?”
Harry laughed “We have no idea, she seems to think it is though” he shrugged and Ginny nudged him,
“I just have a feeling you know”
“Never doubt a mother’s intuition; I knew you’d be all boys until Ginny” Said Molly smiling along with Ginny, Hermione and Amy.
“Sure you did” said Ron doubting his mother’s words,
“I did, I knew each and every one of the seven of you”
“Back to the toast” smiled Arthur “To Harry and Ginny and there new addition to the Weasley and Potter families”

Ginny sighed into his arms a smile on her tired face,
“Why don’t you go to bed?” he asked and she shook her head,
“I’m too happy to sleep”
“You need to get some or you’re going to be tired out tomorrow”
“Will not, stop being such a fuss pot”
“Yeh Harry, stop being such a fuss pot” smirked Draco sitting across from them, Hermione started to laugh as did Ginny,
“That’s right turn on me when I’m just concerned for the wellbeing of two people I’ve promised to look after” he said grinning,
“If I’m tired it’s not your fault, it’s mine” She smiled snuggling closer against his chest,
“I’m meant to be the sensible one in this relationship aren’t I” he smirked “And I thought that was supposed to be the girls job”
“I’ll go to bed but you have too come too” she said with a smile,
He chuckled a little before replying with “I’m not tired”
“We can work on that” she answered,
And Draco cringed “Urgh you two are like rabbits, you’ve knocked her up already get over it”
“You and your dirty mind Draco, you’d better keep a check on that Hermione” laughed Ginny, “I was talking about the fact that if I’m tired I can influence his thoughts and make him feel it to”
“Sure you were” Draco said crossing his arms,
“So I wasn’t, shoot me” she laughed “Don’t worry Hermione tells me about everything you guys get up too anyway”
“Ginny!”
“Sorry it’s the hormones they make me honest” She chuckled and Harry broke into laughter beside her,
“Right trouble, bedtime before your mouth gets us into a bigger mess” he said lifting her up with him and putting her on her feet,
“I’m not tired” she whined, and he lifted her up into his arms against her protests.
“Night guys” he smiled as he walked them to the stairs and she settled down,
“I’m not tired Harry” she yawned,
“Sure your not” he replied in a whisper leaning down to kiss her forehead. Her eyes closed involuntarily but they didn’t open again until he laid her down on the bed.
“I’ve got to get changed, I can’t sleep in jeans” she murmured now half asleep,
He sighed and sat down beside her. Her eyes closed again and this time stayed shut even as he undressed her and put her in her favourite pyjamas tucking her sleeping form into the bed beside him.

Ginny yawned, stretched and opened her eyes rolling over to hear Harry grunt as she hit him in the face by accident.
“Ouch - Gin!”
“Sorry baby” she rubbed his cheek with the hand that had done the damage, “You just got in the way” she giggled a little making a move to kiss him. He accepted it with a small smile
“I’ll try not to next time ok” he replied and she kissed him again before she murmured,
“You do that” and going back a third time, a sultry grin on her face,
“You’re making that face” he remarked.
The smile still on her lips as she replied “What face?” as innocently as she could manage,
“The let’s not get out of bed face” he smiled kissing her again and then pulling away to stand up,
“So where do you think your going?” she grinned,
“I’m the sensible one remember, we’ve got an appointment at Mungo’s in an hour and a half” He sighed sitting on the edge of the bed, ignoring the niggling feeling eating at his stomach.
She sighed and flopped back on the cushions “I forgot about that” she looked into the distance for a minute and then down at her attire “You put me to bed right, not Kreacher”
“Yes” he laughed “You were completely out of it just kept mumbling that you couldn’t sleep in your jeans”
“Sounds like me” She said smiling sitting up and swinging her legs out of the bed “Did Hermione stay over last night?”
“I don’t know, maybe”
“What did they say about rabbits?”
“Draco compared us to them” he answered grinning “And you said you weren’t tired, can you actually remember what you said last night?”
“Yes” she said smiling “Ok, no, what did I say?”
“You told Draco, Hermione tells you everything they do in the bedroom” he said grinning and rifling through his wardrobe,
“I did what!”
“I’m not saying it again” He chuckled pulling a t-shirt over his head and going for jeans,
“Why didn’t you stop me?”
“You blamed it on hormones, don’t worry about it”
“But I still said it” she put her head in her hands and groaned,
“Gin, she knows you were to tired to even realise what you said” he smiled pulling on the jeans and sitting beside her, she looked up
“That’s so embarrassing”
“Like you said to me once – you just got to laugh it off” he chuckled and she punched his arm.
“Ouch” he smirked “Maybe you should go for my face again, that’s the only time it seems to hurt”
She huffed and folded her arms as he grinned “Come on – get dressed, get some breakfast, say you’re sorry and then we can go”
“Joy” she muttered getting up and grabbing a towel, he laughed getting up and leaving her to it.

He walked out meeting Hermione in the stairway,
“Morning” he smiled walking down ahead of her”
“Morning Harry” she yawned “How’s Gin?”
“Awake” he smiled and she understood
“Ahh, well tell her not to worry about, we think she’s hilarious” She smiled following on after him.
“So do I” he smiled entering the kitchen to a lively Kreacher putting out food.
“Good morning Master Potter and Miss Hermione”
“Morning Kreacher, what you got for us today?”
“Eggs, master should send me for shopping in diagon alley”
“Ahh, yeh that would be a good idea” he grinned “How much you think you’ll need?”
“Kreacher doesn’t know”
“How about Draco and I get some – we’re going into town anyway – and then you and Gin just give us half when you get back from Mungo’s”
“Ok” he shrugged, “I should really get a hang on this before Neville and Angela move in next week”
“Yeah, but you’ve got a lot on your mind for now, me and Draco can take care of the food each week, you guys just make sure there’s water and power”
“Does that mean you’re officially moving in?”
“Yes silly, I’ll bring stuff round tomorrow”
“You want to borrow Kreacher?”
“I think he might scare my parents – sorry Kreacher” she added
“Kreacher knows how he must seem to muggles; we are not what they are used to” He said putting out plates In front of them,
“But thanks for the offer Harry” she smiled piling scrambled eggs onto her plate.
He sighed picking out two fried ones and some toast for himself. She examined his face, and a question formed in her head, “You are happy about the baby right?” she asked hesitantly,
“Yes… I mean it’s a surprise I’ve gotten over, we’re both used to the idea…”
She finished the sentence for him, “You’re just worried that you might not be ready for fatherhood”
“Exactly, it’s like I told McGonagall, I’ve never had a proper father, there’s been so many stand ins for Mr James Potter but never one that’s stuck, that hasn’t died, or been needed to be a father to his own child”
“Don’t look for a father Harry, create your own, be someone the child has to admire. Your Harry Potter, you’ve survived death amongst other things you can do fatherhood”
“You make it sound simple, it’s not, I want this kid, I want Ginny, nothing will change that – I’m just scared and it’s more then facing Voldemort. I knew Voldemort, he was a part of me this, this is the unknown”
“This baby’s part of you too, more so then Voldemort ever was. It’s half of you and half of Gin, growing inside her”
“He used my blood to bring himself back from wherever he was”
“This is your chromosomes, your characteristics, your love for Ginny, its better then blood”
He sighed but heard footsteps coming down the stairs, he had control on his thoughts reeling them in so Ginny wouldn’t know anything but he felt instant relief when Draco walked through the door.
“You should talk to her Harry” He shook his head, picking at the meal with his fork,
“Go on, before your brain explodes, the more you keep from her the harder it gets you know that”
“What’s wrong?” Draco asked trying to clue into what was going on but not getting anything, Hermione gave him a look that said ‘leave it for now’ and turned her attention back to Harry.
“You don’t and I will, you know how mad she’ll get not hearing it from you – and those hormones – she’s going to be dangerous”
“Thanks for the encouragement” he muttered sarcastically,
She got up and he sighed “I’m going, I’m going” he got to the door and turned back “How do I explain it?”
“Just talk, she’ll understand”
“Thanks”
He walked up the stairs head down shuffling slightly, he didn’t want to hurt her, and he hoped this wouldn’t. “Gin” he called out entering the room, he glanced out the window, as she replied with a “Yeh”
“I need to tell you something” he saw the cloaked figure in the park opposite again as her head peaked round the door “What is it, you don’t sound right, and I can feel it even though your not letting me in there to look” she said with a mixture of concern and annoyance.
“Come and sit down, I need to explain it will be better that way”
“Please don’t say there’s something wrong Harry” she started to tear up walking over to sit with him.
“Don’t cry, please, there’s nothing the matter, I just have to let you know… I have to tell you I – I - I don’t feel ready for this”

:O oh my god! that was amazing!! aawww that's soo cute..i keep imagining Harry sitting down with Arthur and having a cute little heart to heart, loved the chapters...and their soooo funny! and cute,lol, how Ginny gave him that look

Great chapter. It is good to see everyone welcoming Harry after eveything that happened and forgetting about the past.

Theres not much left - ive written the last eight chapters and will be posting them - the last on xmas day hopefully so i'll say thanks for reading, i'm glad your enjoying it and i'll say a proper good bye to this fic sometime soon. It's been great writing it and i'm going to miss it but it has to end lol im going to give you some stats - at this point it stands at 334 A4 pages, 205,840 words and a whole heap of time and love ! xxx love xLillyx

Chapter Ninety – Six

Ginny’s eyes closed as he spoke. She couldn’t quite catch her breath, the air seemed to escape her lungs and she felt trapped as if underwater.

She gasped feeling his fingertips on her cheeks,
“Look at me Gin” an urgent whisper came from the owner of the warm fingertips.
She blinked the tears away to find she was lying down,
“What – what happened?”
“You passed out for a few seconds, are you ok?” the thumb stroked her cheek gently, wiping away tears
“Tell me what you said” she asked sitting up,
“I think we should go to Mungo’s early and get you checked out”
“Tell me what you said” she demanded “Tell me Harry, say it again!”
“I don’t feel ready for this”
She pulled away from his hands standing up to pace holding her stomach, she didn’t speak.
“Can I explain what I mean?” he asked, she kept walking,
“I want this, I really do, but I’m scared”
“You don’t think I am too?” she said still pacing,
“Of course I know you are, but you’ve had this vision since you were ten, for me this was never going to be a reality”
She stopped and stared at him,
“Until you” he added standing up “I’ve never had a father, you’ve seen me grown into this, and you know what a mess I am”
“You’re my mess” she mumbled, before picking the tone up a little “I know you better then I know myself, or at least I thought I did”
“You do, you know me so well it scares me sometimes Gin” he said allowing a little smile to play upon his lips,
“If you didn’t want this baby, why didn’t you tell me sooner, we had options”
His face became shock and he shook his head ardently,
“Gin, I would never ask you to do that, never in a million years would I get rid of my own child and you wouldn’t have either – let me be clearer – it’s not that I don’t want him, that’s furthest from it, it’s just I don’t know if I can deal… if I can be a good dad”
“You said ‘him’” she said with a smile,
“I – I”
“You can do it Harry, you may not have a dad but you can be one. Your father taught you the importance of love, of not giving up and fighting for what’s right. He may not be alive but he’s still with you, he’s in you, he’ll help you and he loves you”
He pulled her into his embrace and she gave in holding on to him tightly,
“You’re going to be just as good a father as he was and is, if not better. It’s ok to be scared, at least that’s a sign we’re actually going to think about everything and try and do what’s right by our son”
“Gin” he said kissing her forehead, she took his hand putting it on the bump between them,
“Thanks” he said looking down to her,
“What did we say about that word?” she said smiling,
“Love you Gin” he said seriously “I love you so much, I- I -” she put a finger on his lips to stop him,
“We love you too” she replied burying her head against his chest, breathing in deeply as his fingers ran through her hair.

“All’s looking well but by this growth, I think you’re a bit more pregnant then you first thought”
Harry looked up, “How much more?”Questioned Ginny watching the screen,
“At least three weeks – maybe another month”
“Whoa – that’s a lot more” Harry muttered “Right, but Gin’s ok the baby’s ok?”
“Both doing fine, don’t worry, now would you like to know the sex?”
“Yes” they said together smiling,
“Well say hello to a young Miss Potter in the making”
“A girl?” said Ginny with a smile,
“Yep, healthy looking baby girl”
Harry laughed and Ginny looked at him frowning,
“I told you, she’s not a pain like me, she’s stubborn like her mother” as he continued to laugh,
“I don’t care what she is as long as she’s ours” she grinned,
“Neither do I Gin”

The next day they went to visit the burrow, “We’re having a girl mum” smiled Ginny sitting at the kitchen table, she was holding Harry’s hand beside her and he was smiling to. Molly looked between them “That’s wonderful news” she reached over to touch her daughters cheek affectionately “And everything’s ok, I mean that fainting”
“It was only once”
“Twice” said Harry
“Once because she wouldn’t let me eat properly and the second was because you scared me half to death Harry”
“But you’re both healthy right”
“Yes”
“And that’s the main thing” smiled Harry
An owl flew in the window dropping a parcel on the table before it flew off.
“What’s that?” asked Ginny, Molly took it “Just Witch Weekly, Fred and George got me a life time subscription”
She opened it, and then gasped, clutching the magazine to her chest as if to hide it from view,
“What’s wrong Mum?”
She didn’t reply, she shook her head,
“What is it Molly?”
She shakily released the magazine from her grip putting it on the table.
“NO!” Said Ginny standing up angrily seeing both her face and Harry’s on the front cover,
‘Harry & Ginny: Puppy love parents’
“What the hell?” Harry grabbed it and opened it up the whole thing was about them, his history regurgitated, it even had stuff about Dean, what students thought about them, whether there relationship would last, what they’d be doing after school, how they’d cope with a baby…
“How did they find out?”
“It wasn’t going to stay secret for long with who you are, Harry” said Hermione walking in holding a copy, Draco following on behind her. “Their already talking about finding out where you live, they tried to follow me and Hermione to Grimmald place”
“We’re not hiding” said Ginny,
“We can’t go back there Gin, being stalked isn’t going to help you” Said Harry,
“Stay here” said Molly “Till it blows over”
“It’s our home; I’m not going to be forced out of it by idiot, story seeking reporters”
“Being stressed out isn’t going to make things better”
“Stay out of my head Harry!” Said Ginny angrily,
He sighed, there was no talking to her when she got like this –
“Too right there isn’t” she muttered in reply to his thoughts,
“We need to stay calm guys, don’t fight about this” said Draco,
“Arghhh” Ginny said standing up,
“He said calm Gin” Harry replied not looking at her but through the magazine, examining the story
“Whatever Harry” she muttered going up the stairs to her old room.
He sighed “I’m going to go to the magazine”
“I’ll stay with Ginny” replied Hermione going up the stairs,
“I’ll go with you Harry” said Draco,
“Me as well” said Ron’s head as he stepped out of the fireplace, “I can’t believe it, they saw me and Amy in Diagon Alley and started asking me questions following us until we snuck into Fred and Georges and used there fireplace, they said they’d be over soon”
“You didn’t say anything to the story chasers?”
“No, I asked what it was about and they gave me a copy – I read it and then threw it at one of them”
Harry smiled a little, it was so like Ron. He stood up, “I’ll go see Gin, be back in a minute” he said with a sigh.

“Ginny” said Hermione knocking at the door,
“Come in” came the reply, Hermione could hear she was crying and opened the door ready for her.
“Gin” she walked in, Ginny was wiping her eyes frantically,
“Bloody hormones” she muttered, Hermione noticed she was holding her belly to her with one arm across it and rubbing her eyes with the other.
“It’s ok” she sat down next to her,
“I snapped at Harry and it’s not his fault, is he mad at me?”
“Harry – mad at you – Gin he loves you, he’s worried about you not upset with you”
“What are we going to do?”
“He’s going to the magazine, Ron’s here now so he and Draco are going with Harry”
“Why? Their not going to stop”
“They can try”
“Hmm”
There was a knock at the door, “Gin”
“Come on in and join the party” she said rubbing her forehead,
H e wandered in,
“I’ll leave you too it” Hermione said walking out a hand reaching to Harry’s shoulder to reassure him.
He nodded in response and sat down beside Ginny,
“Sorry” she muttered, leaning her head against his shoulder,
“We’re good” he smiled running his fingertips along her cheek and jaw, “I’ll be back in a little bit”
“We’ll be right here waiting”
He leaned round to kiss her forehead and brush a hand against her stomach.
Harry went downstairs “Lets go” he lead the way out the door, they passed through the gate,
“So who knows where the head quarters of Witch Weekly actually is?” asked Draco,
“It’s an office in Diagon alley” Replied Harry, “not far from the bank”
“How do you know that?” Said Ron,
Harry smiled a little “There’s been a few times when I’ve wanted to go and curse some of the writers in there for the crap they come out with about me” he pulled out his wand “Go to the leaky cauldron, I want to talk to Tom first”

They walked to the bar, he could feel the eyes, just when he was starting to blend in a bit, and then this had to happen.
“Tom”
“Mister Potter, what can I do for you?”
“Can we speak to you alone?”
“Sure, come on in” he lifted up the bar counter top to let them through and into the back room.
“Tom, me and Ginny need a favour, no doubt you know what’s going on with the whole witch weekly issue”
“I pass on my congratulations to you both if what there saying’s true”
“It is about the fact we’re expecting a baby but I’m going to hazard a guess that the rest of what’s been written is nonsense”
“Well what can I do for you now apart from sending my best wishes to you both?”
“You can help distract the reporters, it’s only a matter of time until they find out where I’m living, or they get to the Weasley’s house – I need you to let it slip that we’re hiding out here”
“Here?” he said confused
“Tell them we’ve got a room here to stay out of view, you’ll get filled with customers searching for us and we’ll get to live at home in peace, I’ll pay for a room”
“If you want to make it more realistic me or Ron could take polyjuice and be seen as you in here” Said Draco,
“You’d do that?”
“Course we would stupid, it would be a laugh anyways” said Ron,
Tom just looked more confused until he smiled in what seemed like realisation.
“Tom?” said Harry uncertain of what he was going to say,
“Seems like a good plan to me, room thirteen’s yours to do with what you like, no charge”
“I’ll pay”
“You said there’ll be people looking for you, they’ll need food and watering that will cover it - think of it as a gift”
“But”
“A gift for your child” he smiled and Harry nodded “Thanks”
“We’ll have someone in there tonight” said Draco, “I can get polyjuice on the cheap from work – unless you want Hermione set on it for a month”
“How do you know about that?” asked Harry as they left and went outside to the brick wall,
“What, about you two pretending to be Crabbe and Goyle in second year?”
“Yeah” said Ron,
“She told me” he laughed “And about turning into a cat as well”
“She did, did she?” Said Ron crossing his arms
Harry proceeded to tap the wall “Don’t turn this into a reason to fight” he said and then walked through the archway, “She can tell him what he likes, we’re mates now and since he’s with Hermione…” he left the sentence hanging as he kept walking, Ron shrugged as they walked not saying anything and Draco was smiling.
Things were going well until –
“Harry, Hey Harry” yelled a voice.
He turned to the flash of a camera. Harry swore under his breath and turned back walking faster “Come on” he muttered going to the buildings and looking up at the buildings, he saw the door, “It’s there” he gestured with his head to Ron and Draco. Ron glanced back, “Harry – hurry up”
Draco looked back as well,
“Draco – Draco what do you think of the news?” said the shout,
Harry got through the door, Ron behind him and Draco stood at the door wand out looking fierce.
“BACK OFF” He shouted through the glass, pointing his wand.
They went quiet, blinked at him and then the flash of the camera’s started again.
Harry swore and walked up to the desk, Ron told Draco to “Leave it” and they both walked up behind him.
“I want to see whoever’s responsible for this” he threw the magazine on the desk, in front of the receptionist,
“Ahh Mr Potter” she smiled a sickly sweet smile, and put a hand underneath her chin, “I’ll see if I can get an appointment for you”
“I don’t want an appointment I want to see them now” He noticed her wand in her hand pointing to the corner where on a table laid a quick quotes quill and parchment, “Please don’t do that”
