Chapter Seventy – Eight

The silence in the room was deafening, Hermione sat on one couch, Ron on the other not a word being said between them. It was the morning after and Amy had left the quarters early to walk, Draco following on after her to talk to her, avoid this scene and work out there own mess.

“I’m sorry” said Hermione looking up “I did the wrong thing”
Ron made no sign that he had heard her and kept his arms folding and eyes on the ground.
“I don’t want to end our relationship over this, please Ron, I love you” the more she said those words the less true they felt.
“You never trusted me did you” He said finally looking up but avoiding her eyes, “You don’t believe in me anymore then anyone else does and I can’t love you anymore”
Tears started to fall again but they were more of relief and she didn’t understand why.
“Why can’t you forgive me for one mistake? It was just a letter”
“This mistake changed everything between us, we can’t go back and fix it and we can’t go forward with it let it just be time to move on”
“You don’t want me anymore?” she wiped her eyes with her thumb,
“I can’t have you anymore, your not mine, you’re your own”
“Please Ron; don’t say that, I’m yours I want to be yours”
“No you don’t” he replied bluntly standing up “You’ll never be mine again” he turned and walked away out of the dorm.

She sat in shock, silent oppressive shock and didn’t move. She couldn’t cry anymore for him, it was over. She sat there for what seemed like hours when a voice pulled her out,

“Hermione, Hermione, talk to me Hermione” she felt the hands on her own and looked up into her eyes
“He said you broke up, what on earth happened between you two Hermione?”
“I – I didn’t tell him about the letter… he doesn’t think I want him… he doesn’t want me anymore”
Ginny put a hand to her mouth in astonishment,
“That pig headed fool, wait until I make him see sense, he’ll come back”
“I- I don’t – he can do what he wants” Ginny gasped and Hermione felt a load lift from her shoulders “He doesn’t love me anymore, he loves someone else, he just needed a way out”
“What, Hermione what are you talking about of course he loves you”
“No, he – he wants Amy, them together makes more sense then him and I ever did and now he’s freed himself from me without even having to tell me about her”
“No Hermione”
“I’m right Ginny, you know I’m right because you noticed the way he is with Amy just as well as I have” she shook her head and stood up “I was never good for Ron, she is, she can be with him now” Hermione walked up to her room leaving Ginny in disbelief, before she got up and ran out to find Harry.

Draco watched Amy pull up the grass at her feet as she sat on her cloak under the tree,
“Look about yesterday, I’m sorry I snapped at you”
“What’s this? the new apologetic Draco, Lord Voldemort would be pleased”
“Don’t be like that; I’m being honest with you”
“Well I’m sure that’s a start with you, what do you want my permission for, for you to hand me into Azkaban?”
“No, I want you to be with Ron - now don’t say anything about Hermione, because that’s not why – I see that you like him and you can’t deny it”
“What me like that blood traitor?”
“Yes, as much as you don’t want to admit it, you to get on so well it’s nauseating to watch”
“And you can tell the difference between me acting and me actually falling for him?” she’d stopped being defensive and was twirling the grass round her finger.
“I can”
“So you know I spent last night with him?”
“No I didn’t… but you can do what you like, I think we can agree to disagree never to tell either of them about what we failed at” he grinned, “And end whatever twisted little romance we had going on mutually”
“Yes” she murmured “And anyway I think I like the new, free me more”
“Exactly” he laughed “Maybe we should wait a bit before doing anything though”
“That’s not going to work in my case though is it, I’ve sealed the deal already” Amy said with a smile,
“Well ok, you do what you think is right, and I’ll wait for Hermione to be ready”
“Sounds like a plan – a good one this time”
“I’m done with plans they never work out” he smiled and stood up “You want to come for one last walk with me?”
“Why not” she said and held her hand out for him to pull her up with. She wrapped her arm around his as they walked, “Has the sun always shone so brightly Draco?” she sighed looking up,
“Not always” he grinned and leant his head down to kiss her forehead “But it will from now on”

Harry sat with Ron in the great hall Ron eating his breakfast to avoid talking, the other looking to the door waiting for Ginny while he sipped on coffee. They were sitting away from the other Gryffindor’s but when Harry chose to speak he still kept it quiet.

“What happened to you both Ron, why would you break up over this?”
“It’s been coming for a while” he mumbled
“You were fine until-”
“- Until we actually decided to start dating each other”
“You are happy with her, you are miserable without her”
“I’ve done something worse then what she has” he sighed abandoning his fork and Harry knew this was what was really bothering him because he’d stopped eating.
“What have you done Ron?” said Harry seriously,
“I’ve fallen for Amy”
“You idiot” Harry said sighing,
“I slept with her last night” said Ron continuing to mumble,
“YOU AND HERMIONE WEREN’T EVEN SORTED AND YOU GO AND JUMP INTO BED WITH MALFOY’S GIRLFRIEND!” he shouted, disregarding the restraint it took to be quiet and standing up angrily “You know what I hope Malfoy gives you what you deserve now, and I won’t try to stop him” he muttered angrily, glanced around seeing the faces of people listening and then spotted Ginny coming towards him, “You will have to tell Hermione or your just going to be a hypocrite. Ron you know sometimes your really, really stupid”

He walked towards Ginny and held out his hand to her
“I need to tell you something and then you can let him try and redeem himself”
“THIS IS YOUR FAULT HARRY” Shouted Ron across the hall, “YOU SHOULDN’T HAVE TOLD ME”
“THE ONLY PERSON TO BLAME IS YOU OR SHE WOULD HAVE TOLD YOU HERSELF” Harry shouted back and pulled a confused Ginny along with him to the room of requirement.

“This all down to that letter” said Ginny sighing, exasperatedly as the complications of it all sunk in,
“She didn’t tell him but it would have been worse if she had I guess” said Harry “It would have taken them longer to break up”
“She said he wants Amy anyway”
“That makes sense” he muttered,
“What do you mean Harry, what’s Ronald gone and done now?”
“He was with Amy last night, right after he left Hermione he went straight for her”
“NO! RON?”
“Yeh Ron” he muttered angrily “What did Hermione say about what happened?”
“That Amy could have him, they were better off together then she and him were anyway but I don’t think she knows about this… I don’t think she should know”
“Gin we can’t keep it from her, if Ron doesn’t tell her I will, I’m not losing another friend in this mess because of lies – besides the contents of the great hall kind of knows already ...”
“What how?”
“He shocked me with it – I kind of shouted it out angrily”
“Harry” she said sighing and putting a hand to her head “That means its too late she’ll know by the end of the day”
“I think we should stay away from them for a bit then” Harry shuffled in his seat on the couch a bit as she curled in closer to him,
“Ok, leaving them to sort it out sounds like a good idea”
“Well at least we agree on something”
“Its better then nothing” she grinned “plus I don’t think them seeing us together is going to make it any easier in there couples chaos do you?”
“Not in the slightest” he laughed hollowly hoping his friends would sort out this mess, and all would be right in the world once more… or as right as it usually got to anyway.

“Do you think that now Draco and Hermione might...?” she let the question trail off watching Harry’s face,
“Probably Gin, he’s free to go after Hermione now Amy’s jumped in there with Ron, there’s nothing to stop them playing swaps with each other … unless Draco doesn’t know about Ron and Amy, then he’ll probably flip his lid, go nuts and kill Ron and Amy before finally turning his attention to Hermione who probably won’t want him after his murderous rampage”
“You have a surprisingly vivid imagination” said Ginny with a smile,
“It comes from listening to you talk about your witch weekly gossip columns”
“Hey that’s genuine literature”
He gave her a look that suggested he though otherwise and she giggled,
“Ok so its not, but still it provides entertainment when you’re not willing to offer any”
“And how often is that, once every blue moon”
“It’s been a blue moon every night for the last week and a half?” She giggled even more as he made to tickle her,
“How about I make it up to you now then?”
“Lets say tonight, we have issues to sort out with our best friends remember”
“How could I forget – oh yeh my girlfriend happens to be perfect” he kissed her softly “in every” he kissed her again “Single” and again “Way”.

It was Ron and Amy!!!!!! How could he do that!!!!! He is such a....agrrrr....I hate it that we can't swear at fanfics!!!!! lol.... Anyway, fine if they can resist it let Draco with Hermione and Ron with Amy, just do not do anything to ruin Harry and Ginny..WE LOVE THEM!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter Seventy – Nine

Ron opened the door to the head pupil’s quarters and wandered inside head down. He looked up and came face to face with Malfoy.

“Ah… erm... hey Draco”
“Ron”
“Look… erm I’m just going to go… it’s not been a good morning and doesn’t look like it’s about to get any better” he shuffled past and Draco turned
“I know you and Hermione broke up, I know why and I know you slept with Amy last night”
Ron had kept walking until the last thing he said came out of Draco’s mouth.
“You… know… and you’re not cursing the living daylights out of me?”
Draco smiled slyly “Look, me and Amy well – we finished last night as well, before you two-”
“Oh”
“I’m not going to curse you – as much as I want to” he walked forward to stand in front of him “So I’m just going to tell you to treat her better then you did Hermione, which I think will be easy since you get on so well”
“Amy and I haven’t really talked about anything…” his sentence drifted off “We kind of skipped that bit”

Draco rubbed his forehead with a grin “She does that a lot, gets right to business rather then talk – she does really like you though”
“Why are you telling me this?”
“So you know that I didn’t dump her over you, it was mutual, so you don’t feel guilty I guess – part of the new Draco”
“Well it’s scary”
“Tends to do that to people” he said holding out his hand to Ron “Just tell Hermione about her will you so I don’t have to explain your mess”
“Yeh – if she ever agrees to speak to me again” Said Ron taking his hand and being worried about what would happen next in case this was some sort of trick.
“She will, just give her some time”
“How do you know she will?” Ron watched his face suspiciously and taking his hand back,
“Because she’s a girl, it’s in her nature to forgive and forget even if she never intends to” he grinned and turned around to leave the quarters.

Ron stood there gobsmacked for a few minutes until a smile arose to his face. Things were going ok, he wasn’t dead, Hermione didn’t hate him yet… and he was with Amy. Amy, that amazing girl, he’d been taken in completely by and didn’t want to lose now he had her.

Hermione stepped out of her room, her eyes weren’t red or swollen, her face was serene and she walked right past him not taking any notice that she recognised his presence. She went into the kitchen helped herself to a glass of pumpkin juice and then headed back into the living room to sit on the couch. He was still standing there.

So this was it, it wasn’t going to be shouting and arguing it was to be silence, painful awkward silence and ignorance that he even existed.

She took a sip and then reached to the coffee table lifting up a book and beginning to read. Amy came out of her room all smiles when she saw Ron but then realised what he was staring at, Hermione.

“Ron are you all right?” she questioned and he turned to her and his face changed to a smile
“Fine Amy, will you give us a minute” he said and she nodded going into the kitchen as he sat on the couch opposite Hermione.

"Hermione” he started quietly,
“Ron” she said looking up from her book, “I hope you two are very happy together” Her eyes returned to the page.
“This is too weird, you and Draco are both so – so – well let’s just say - not bothered by what’s happened at all”
“Ron you weren’t happy with me, we both know that, you’ve found someone who makes you happy even if she was someone else’s girlfriend”
“She’s not with Draco anymore; he said they broke up mutually last night”
“Well that’s good for you then, it’s a shame I had to cry and go to pieces”
“Sorry” he mumbled
“That you couldn’t leave me in one piece with a simple reason instead of blowing your top at one little thing and denouncing everything we had?”
“Yeh”
“I hope you are, but on the other hand I don’t begrudge you anything, I had a good time with you for the most part” she smiled a little “Like I said I hope you’re happy with her, I hope she makes you happier then I could, see you around Ronald” she stood up and he blurted it out,
“I was with her last night”
“You don’t waste time do you” she smirked and picked up her book “I suggest you avoid me for a while, both of you” She spoke coldly and calmly unsettling him quickly.
“We’ll do that” he mumbled again and watched her leave the quarters.

He sighed and Amy came back in,
“Are we ok?” she asked, “I mean are we together after all of that?”
“If you want to be”
“Of course I do” she laughed and made her way towards him on the couch. She sat on his lap and he smiled wrapping his arms round her waist,
“No regrets?”She asked,
“Non what so ever” he smiled in reply and leaned into kiss her.

Harry and Ginny sat down in the great hall eating there lunch, Hermione wandered in book in hand, calm and composed and placed her self opposite them.

“Afternoon you two” she smiled, she could feel the eyes on her which meant everyone knew about the complications between the head boy and girl,
“Hey Hermione” said Harry and Ginny simultaneously without meaning to,
Ginny went to say sorry but Hermione stopped her
“It’s ok, its quite funny really… lets get one thing straight, I don’t want to talk about anything that has happened including last night and this morning”
“But-”
“Gin please” She nodded in reply and looked up to see Draco approaching, Harry observed them carefully, trying to figure ok if they knew and spoke to Ginny in thought with a sigh.
‘They know about Ron and Amy don’t they’
‘Yeh, they’re pretending that it doesn’t bother them’
“Much appreciated if you talk to us not about us” smiled Draco,
Harry & Ginny blinked, “How do you know?” Harry asked,
“About Ron and Amy or that you two are talking about us in your heads?”
“Both” said Ginny,
“They told us” replied Hermione,
“And your eyes kind of glaze over still when you have a chat” Finished Draco, “But enough of that, lets eat” he smiled a little going for sandwiches.

Harry and Ginny nodded but as he looked up he saw Ron and Amy strolling in, hand in hand. They were walking over to them and Harry glared at him, with a look that said ‘I don’t think so’. He watched Ron rub his head and whisper to Amy who nodded, they sat further down the table with Dean, Seamus and Lavender.

Chapter Eighty

“Professor, I’ve come to let you know that the housing arrangements for my self, Mr Malfoy, Mr Weasley and Miss O’Malley won’t be possible anymore”
“Can I ask why?”
“There were communication issues, a break down in relationships and the forging of new ones without regard to the other parties” She stated, and McGonagall gave a look suggesting she knew what had gone on.
“I see, well we will see that Mr Malfoy and Miss O’Malley be re-housed accordingly, my head students are still able to share quarters amicably I presume?”
“Silence is a virtue that comes in useful in situations such as these”
“Your duties to the school will not be affected I hope?”
“They will not be in my case; I cannot say whether Mr Weasley’s will be”
“Hermione are you sure you are able to cope?” the professor spoke quietly and calmly, observing the young woman’s face in detail.
“I am. I have Mr Potter, Miss Weasley and Mr Malfoy”
“I understand” she replied
“If its ok I’d like to go now”
“Of course my dear” She stood up, “They will move out tonight”
“Thank you professor” she nodded her head and then left quickly wishing to avoid anymore conversation.

She knocked on the door and heard his reply stepping into his room.
“Hermione” He smiled “I’m going to be in the quest quarters now”
“I figured” she closed the door and sat on his bed as he continued to pack,
“Why did it all turn out like this Draco?”
“We just happened to be in the way of another couples happiness I think” He said as he threw robes into his trunk,
“If you fold them you’d fit more in”
“I’m not going far” he replied “It’s not like I’m going back to Slytherin”
“Which is a good job if you ask me” she muttered,
“We’re not all that bad, some of us are quite peaceful and don’t go after muggles and muggleborn’s you know”
“Cause you were harmless when you served under Voldemort”
“But I wasn’t the worst, Snape now there’s a dangerous wizard”
“He always was a bit psychotic, a little temperamental but with a dash of genius” she replied, picking at her hands,
“He was a good teacher, just turned out to be a death eater and a nutcase as well” He said trying to see if two socks looked like a matching pair,
“Yeh that was a minor hiccup for him wasn’t it” she said as she sighed, and handed him the matching sock to one that lay on the floor.

He studied her face, no smile had appeared on it for a while, it had been a week and she’d chose to go to McGonagall today about getting him and Amy moved. It seemed she’d finally snapped and had enough of seeing them together, but didn’t want to tell them so, just get rid of Amy instead.

“Where are they moving her to?” she said folding her arms,
“I’m not going to tell you because you’re not going to like it and I’d hate to see you even more upset then you are”
“She’s going to Gryffindor in my old place then”
“Yeh, they figured she’d fit in better if they gave her a house to belong to I guess”
She rolled her eyes “Don’t try and protect me from things Draco, we know how crappy it turns out when people do”
“I won’t” he closed his trunk with a wave of his wand, and picked up his back pack, “Walk with me to the new quarters then?”
“Might as well” she said and stood up
“Good, you can pick a password for me” he replied putting it on his back,
“How about confusion” She said walking to the door and opening it,
“Works for me” he replied as she stepped out and he levitated his trunk in front of him and out the door.

“How long do you think there not going to talk to each other?”
“Forever if Hermione has her way” smiled Ginny; “I don’t particularly want to have anything to do with Ronald so I can imagine how she is” She took the last gulp from her bottle and glanced around behind Harry’s head inside the small bar.
“But you don’t think it’s a little twisted that this all happens after the incidents between Hermione and Draco but they haven’t mentioned anything about them being together”
“I don’t think they are, and for one thing I don’t think Hermione wants anyone at the moment – even if it is Draco”
“Hmm” Harry said thinking to himself,
“I know what you mean” Laughed Ginny picking up on it instantly,
“Jeez your getting about as good at looking into my head as Voldemort was”
“But in a much nicer non forceful and non possessive way” she grinned
“Yeh that’s a better way to describe it” he took a sip of his drink and sat back a little in his chair, when Ron and Amy came in all smiles, holding hands and looking love drunk.
“There coming over” he muttered and Ginny turned her head round,
“Well that’s a bugger for today” she smiled and stood up “Another drink sweetheart” she winked and walked over to the bar leaving Harry to scowl and then greet Ron and Amy.

“Harry” smiled Ron nervously,
“Ronald” replied Harry holding on to the bottle tightly,
“Look I -”
“I suggest you leave it right there” Said Harry cutting him off “In case you haven’t noticed neither me nor your sister are particular fans of you at this point in time”
“It’s been two weeks” Said Amy quietly,
“And you think that’s enough for Hermione” Harry said but looking at Ron not her,
“She said to stay away from her; she didn’t mention anything about not seeing my best mate” Sighed Ron
“The thing is you’re not my best mate at the moment”
“Can’t you just be happy for me?”
“Nope” Said Ginny with a smile as she handed Harry a bottle, sitting down opposite with her own “Bye Ron”
“Bloody hell, you two, its not like I’ve done something terrible – I didn’t mean to fall for Amy and she didn’t mean to fall for me it just happened, surely you of all people can understand that”
“We understand” said Harry,
“Just doesn’t mean we approve of the way you went about it” Finished Ginny
“So would you mind leaving us to our date” Said Harry with a slight smile
“Yeah … sure… whatever” Ron sighed “Come on” he turned to Amy who just smiled and walked with him to a table the other side of the pub.

Okay I'm gonna say it...I don't think that Ron did something soooo terrible... yeah okay he slept with her when he was still with Hermione but come on it's not like Hermione was a saint and didn't do anything with Draco; I think that Harry at least should still be Ron's friend, I mean we should stick with our friends even when they're wrong.....anyway...PAMS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Chapter Eighty – One

Ginny wandered into the library to see Hermione, her head in a book and her hand taking notes.
“Hey Hermione” she smiled and sat down,
“Oh Ginny – aren’t you supposed to be in class”
“It got cancelled; Professor Sprout had some trouble with one of those huge, venomous, creepy crawly plants”
“The magical name of it is?”
“Erm … I don’t remember but I’ll look it up before my test next week” she added at the frown on Hermione’s face.
She nodded to give her approval to Ginny’s answer when she spoke again,
“Tell me what happened please, I know damn right that the letter was only a little bit of what went on, and you still haven’t told me or Harry why neither you or Draco seem that bothered most of all Draco”
She shrugged in reply “Me and Ron may have loved each other at some point but we fell apart constantly, there wasn’t a future for us no matter how hard we tried for one and when Amy arrived on the scene, and showed how perfect they got on together, how much she understood him more – and for goodness sakes all those longs walks they took together alone and coming back happy until he saw me again… I was in the way, I understand that and now I can find happiness as well”
Ginny sighed noticing the angry tinged tone her voice took when she spoke about Amy even though she tried to hide it,
“How come Draco hasn’t killed Ron?”
“Him and Amy… it was more of a love at first sight thing, he told me about Angie, he saw her first found out she was nuts and then decided the more reserved of the two was for him. They hit it off, and they were happy but he reckons he always knew it wouldn’t last with her, she’s too much of a free spirit to stick with him”
“You two are the perfect fallbacks in the mess you’re not even fighting for them your just letting them go”
“What would you prefer me to do hide in Myrtles bathroom and sob for the rest of the year? I’m getting on with things, im doing what I can to keep going and to be honest I don’t feel that bad about letting him go”
Ginny shook her head “You’ve been hurt Hermione, he slept with someone else and now he’s parading her around like nothing happened”
“And now I’m healing” She closed the book and rolled up the parchment “I’m fine Gin, so let it go, and don’t hold a grudge against your brother it’s not good for you and you can tell Harry the same”
“I can’t do that Hermione” she shook her head “Harry can do what he wants, but I can’t, stop hating Ron for what he’s done to you”
“Ginny” she sighed in reply “It’s ok really, I’m ok”
“But your not, I can see that and I can see how your trying to hide the fact you now hate Amy”
“That clear is it” she put her head in her hands “He hurt me, but I hurt him first – this mess is my fault”
“If he wasn’t such a git in the first place none of this would have happened you would still be friends”
“But he is and I was stupid enough to get involved, he moved on to someone else and I’m left behind but I’m not alone in this Ginny”
“What Draco, who doesn’t seem the slightest bit bothered?”
“He hides things well”
“What about him kissing you?”
“What about it, there’s nothing going on between us and it had nothing to do with me and Ron”
“But maybe that’s why he’s not that cut up about Amy – he had his eye on you the whole time”
“But I’m not interested so it doesn’t matter”

Hermione walked into the quarters Ron behind her after the dinner in the great hall,
“Hermione” he called out before she could escape to her room,
“Yes” she kept on walking and stopped at her door her back still to him,
“Is it ok if Amy comes back here tonight?”
“You don’t need my permission” Her hand reached for the door handle and turned,
“Im considering your feelings”
“You didn’t before why start now” She opened the door,
“Don’t turn it back on me, I’m asking for a simple answer and nothing more”
“Do what you think is the least morally reprehensible” she smiled to herself and walked inside before closing and locking it.

Ron sighed, ran a hand through his hair and shook his head. If she wasn’t going to bother with him, he wasn’t going to bother with her; he would do what he liked, Hermione or no Hermione. He walked to the Gryffindor common room seeing her waiting for him on the couch.

“We can do what we like; I’ve had enough of trying to make things right with her”
“Ok” she shrugged taking his hand as he sat beside her “Why not just use the room that Ginny told me about – what’s it called… it’s the room of something”
“The room of requirement – but that’s kind of there place I guess we’d have to like check with them even”
“Is there nowhere in the school that’s not someone else’s”
“My room, in my half of the shared quarters, she doesn’t get a say” Ron replied coldly,
“And you can deal with the awkwardness can you?” she said smiling “Cause it sure looks like it”
“I can deal with her, ok” he muttered so she leaned up and kissed him to stop his scowl,
“Ok” She said smiling “I’ll get some stuff and be back in a minute then”
“You do that” he said with a grin and stood up spotting Ginny.

She was sitting with her friends and he walked over to stand in front of her,
“What now?” she grumbled looking up to his face,
“Nothing little sister”
“Then why are you standing in front of me” She asked starting to get annoyed,
“I don’t know, thought maybe you’d want to have a conversation with me for some strange reason” He said with a smirk,
She replied icily, “It’s hard enough to get an intelligent word from you; it would be sheer pain to attempt a conversation”
“You don’t look like you’re in pain”
She smirked folding her arms, “I hide it well”
“Where’s Harry since he’s not attached to you” People began to look with the mention of Harry’s name, and then became more interested in listening with each word.
“He’s busy”
“Doing what?”
“Working unlike you, there’s four weeks before newts and I’m a distraction so I told him I’d leave him too it for a bit and I can do mine as well”
“Right and this was your idea? Sure he didn’t just want you away from him for a while because you’re clinging too much to him”
“My idea, we know what’s important where as you seem preoccupied and for your information I don’t’ cling, Harry’s happy enough to have me with him twenty four seven as long as I keep him entertained you know that” She said with a knowing smile that made his ears red and his face contort before he replied with
“Oh well, sharing you sex life to the common room isn’t unusual for you after last terms excitement with Dean”
“And yours involving Draco’s girlfriend isn’t common knowledge?” she questioned a finger going to her lip as if she had to think about it.
Amy came down the staircase but took one look around and went up the boys side,
“I wouldn’t bother Amy” said Ginny her eyes flicked to the movement on the staircase and then back to Ron,
She spoke pausing on the steps, “Why not?”
“Cause not even Harry tries to stop me when I’m angry at Ronald”
Amy sighed and then kept going up, but he was on his way down and stood with her at the bottom of the stairs listening,
“You don’t even try and redeem yourself for what you’ve done” she started irritably
“There’s no point with you as a sister, you don’t listen”
“You don’t pay any attention to what’s going on unless it concerns you, the whole thing you had against me and Harry at the beginning was about you, Hermione told me how you came to Mungo’s and told her you were only upset Harry was hurt because you hadn’t done it yourself”
“When you think you can trust someone and then they steal your sister you have the urge to watch them suffer” he replied coldly, “I’m a crappy wizard who nobody likes and trails around in the shadows of greater ones you said that to me your self and now it’s not like I’m good enough for much else now is it” He said with a grin,
“Not if you don’t try Ronald” she sighed “You know full well you’re a better wizard then you try and fool people into thinking you are”
“Yeah, yeah”
“Yes Ronald”
“Quit calling me that”
“Not until you get it into your head that you can be just as good if not better then most people in your year if you focus on work and not who your going to jump into bed with next” she smirked and he pulled out his wand,
“Don’t even think about it Ronald” hers was already in hand and at his throat standing up before his head had risen up from looking at his pocket.
“I know how you duel, I know your weakness’s and Merlin Ronald I know I could beat you”
Everyone had now turned to stare at them in silence when a voice came from the stairway to break in when she thought they were going too far. “Stop it you two, just stop it”
Harry knew it was best to let them sort it, when Ginny was angry she wasn’t going to listen to him and kept quiet just watching,
“This is between brother and sister, keep your nose out Amy” Shouted Ginny keeping her eyes and wand on Ron where as his went to Amy and then back to Ginny.
“You didn’t deserve Hermione” Said Ginny coldly “And you think our families going to accept you when you bring her home instead”
“I DON’T CARE” he replied firmly, wand still pointed at Ginny.
Ginny smiled “Right, how do you want to do this Ronnykins”
“I’m not going to duel you, I’m not asking you to approve and I’m not going to put up with you just like I’m not going to put up with Hermione. I’m with Amy like or lump it, just like you’re with Harry”
“Nothing like me and Harry” she hissed angrily and lowered her wand with a glare, “We didn’t tell some one we couldn’t love them anymore over one little letter, right before climbing into bed with someone else’s girlfriend – you’re a lying cheating hypocrite”
“It wasn’t like that, she lied to me, and she’s been lying to herself. We never could have kept going as we were we were both unhappy and we knew that me and Amy are better together then me and her ever were”
“She told you from the beginning that you couldn’t be together because you’re a idiot but it was you that persisted the relationship on her, you that kissed her first, you that was miserable until she was anywhere near you”
“Things change, I saw that it wasn’t as good as I hoped”
“Nothing is ever like that for you because you’re an arrogant self-centred pathetic little creature”
“Amy doesn’t seem to mind which is more then I can say for Hermione”
“You pig”
“Its’ better then nothing” he replied
“Why can’t you just say sorry to her?”
“I’ve got nothing to apologise for and even if I said it she’s not going to want to listen and neither are you”
“I’m here I’m waiting”
“Not going to happen, I’m not going to apologise, when I’ve done nothing wrong”
“YOU HAVE, YOU CHEATED ON MY BEST FRIEND, YOU BROKE HER INTO PIECES AND LEFT HER EMPTY SHE DOESN’T EVEN CRY, SHE DOESN’T SMILE YOU’VE HURT HER SO MUCH”
“SHE LIED TO ME” he shook his head irritated “AMY AND DRACO WERE OVER, ME AND HERMIONE WERE OVER”
“Only you didn’t wait to let Hermione know any of this before you spent the night with that” she pointed her wand furiously at Amy,
“Don’t you dare Ginerva Molly Weasley” he moved forward towards his wand raised, Harry flinched but didn’t speak,
“What calling me my full name is going to command that I respect you? After what you’ve done”
“No, but you threaten her and abuse her and you have me to answer to”
“That supposed to scare me is it, that she can’t look after herself, even as an ex death eater?”
“Her involvements with you know who are not apart of this” he answered back,
“His name was Voldemort Ronald, he kidnapped and tortured me, he killed Harry, he killed hundreds of people and she was on his side”
“And Draco was what when he tried to kidnap you right under Harry’s nose, asleep the whole time?”
“NO BUT IT’S NOT HER OR HIM I HAVE THE PROBLEM WITH ITS YOU, YOU SELF- ABSORBED, EGOTISTICAL, INSENSITIVE MORON”
“I’M YOUR BROTHER WHAT DO YOU EXPECT, HAPPY FAMILIES?”
“A brother who’s not a complete let down to me and my family to begin with would be nice” she replied putting her wand away tears streaming down her cheeks. Ron’s ears turned scarlet, his face was fast becoming pale and his hands turned into fists at his sides.
“I don’t need family, I’ve got Amy” Ron put away his wand, “You ready” He said turning to her,
“Yeh – but – Ron, don’t leave it like this-”Amy said attempting to stop him,
“No go, run away Ron that’s what your good at remember” Ginny said wiping the angry tears but they wouldn’t stop falling
He walked out of the portrait hole. Amy looked at Harry who made no attempt to reply before following Ron out. He had an arm wrapped round Ginny and led her up the staircase to his dorm.

She hadn’t spoken and was just lying against his chest, the curtains drawn around them breathing in and out slowly, the ragged breaths and the wetness of his t-shirt the indications she was still crying. His hand stroked her hair gently and his mind pushed out all thoughts so she wouldn’t have to have them as well as her own.

“It’s ok Gin” he whispered “You’re going to be ok and so is he”

After a while her breathing changed, it became more regular and quiet so he looked down at her closed puffy red eyes. After two hours of silent crying she was asleep.

Poor Ginny!!!!!! Harry is so so so so so so sweet! Ron is a jerk! and amy and ron are idiots for thinking they could take on ginny! Please post more sooN!
