PAMS! Thank you! I love Ron too. He is amazing. And so fun to write with. Because you can do so much with his character. I'm not posting tonight *hides* I have had Mini Band Camp since Monday and tomorrow is my last day *dances* (have no clue why its called "mini band camp" since the onply diffrence is two hours! I actually like band camp better than mini...mini takes your afternoon and evening away! so sad) And I'm super tired. And tomorrow I have to wake up even earlier than I want to because I have a dentis apointment..no sleeping in till 8 o'clock for me! *laughs bitterly* Oh well. lol. I will have a post for you when I come home from band..probably around...7 o'clock Atlantic time (Eastern for those in the good old USA)...is that right Atlantic time? I think thats what peolpe called it when I played Quidditch. *thinks* I can't remember lol. Well I'm sure you know what I mean anyway. And if not..than I'm sorry. But now I'm babbaling. So I'll have a two posts for you tomorrow. One shorter and one longer. BUt the really long posts are coming! I have so many ideas it isn't even funny I couldn't sleep the other night and I was laying in bed thinking of diffrent ideas and stuff that I can't say right now pretty much all night. So I'm very excited to continue writing agian after tomorrow. Hopefully I'll have a lot written before school starts so I don't get behind. I really don't want school to start. I don't know about all of you, but I'm terrified for this year! SATs, harder classes, seeing all those idiot classmates of mine, etc. etc. The only thing I'm looking forward to when Autumn comes is band competitions! I'm excited beyond words because our band is going to kick butt this year. Babbaling agian... Well I'm going to head off to bed so I can read my chapter in my romance novel for the night (reading other books...especially romance...really help you write! Give you ideas and how to say things. Like I was so stuck on how to say how Hermione rested her chin on her hands while her elbows where on her knees, but than I read it in the book...what a qawinkie dink!...and knew how to say it. So if you ever get writers block just read a book! Well for me it works lol...darn off topic agian!) and get to sleep. Thanks for reading and I'm sorry for not posting tonight. This is heaven, the wind blowing all around him and the endless sky in front of him. Not to mention the sleeping Hermione behind him. A light smile played on Ron’s lips as he looked back her. It felt so right having her so close. He dreaded reaching the train station and seeing her leave. And that was the thing…should he let her leave?
But why, why was she leaving? Why did she have to? She didn’t want to hurt all of them. She didn’t want to hurt him. But how could she possibly hurt him? Last night was the best night of his life. Harry was finally genuinely happy and had a large family. Not to mention the love of his life. Ron had thought that now that he and Hermione didn’t have to worry about Harry they could…Oh what was the use? Last night he thought that Hermione might have some feelings for him. But now she was just getting up and leaving. But she did say she didn’t want to hurt him! But, now he was back to the same pointless question, why does she think she would hurt him?
Ron closed his eyes in frustrated pain. If only he could make her see how much he loved her. Maybe…letting her go would be the first step? He had no choice. Hermione would just get angry at him if he tried to stop her. But if he understood…what if she changed her mind and came back to him? What if he just flat out told her his feelings?
All these questions and doubts buzzed through his mind. One of his hands left the handle of the broom and drifted to where here hands where clutching together around his stomach. He put his hand on top of hers and softly grabbed her fingers. But, no matter what he chose to do, let her go or watch her walk away, he just wanted her to stay with him forever. How could he survive with out her?

“Hermione…Hermione.” Ron said as he gave her hand a little squeeze to wake her up. “Wake up Hermione. We are getting closer to the station.” He felt her lift her head from his shoulder, “Good sleep?” “Hmm…yes. I haven’t slept that well in forever.” She shifted around a little behind him, sitting up straighter and stretching out her legs, but her hand never left his. “Oh, wow.” She gushed. “London looks even more amazing from up here.” “Yeah it does look pretty nice doesn’t it?” “Nice? This is incredible, Ron. Look there is the station! The trains look like snakes from up here.” “Yeah, they do. Well I’m sorry to ruin it all but we have to descend now. Hold on.” Ron pushed down on the front of the broom and they started a slow descend. They slide forward a little on the broom. Hermione closed her eyes tight and squeezed Ron closer to her. This was the worst part and how she hated it. She didn’t know if she would ever be able to open her eyes again because she had them closed so tight. Her body felt rigid from fright. “Hermione, it’s alright. Just relax we are almost to the ground.” Ron said in a soothing voice. But it seemed to have no impact on her. She just squeezed harder. He wanted to speed up to get to the ground quicker but if he sped up she would get even more frightened. Finally his feet touched the ground and he glanced behind him. Hermione’s face was buried in his back and she wasn’t moving. He let go of the broom, it hovered below him, he turned back to face her. Now her hands were covering her face and she had started to shake. He placed his hands under her armpits and lifted her off of the broom. Jumping off the broom, he stood in front of her. What was he suppose to do? He looked around the alley way he landed in, hoping someone, anyone, would appear telling him how to help her. But no one came and he had to do something. What would his Mother or Ginny do? What would Harry do? He walked closer to her and peeled her hands away from her eyes, they clenched together at her side. She whimpered slightly at the loss of protection. Her face was pinched in pain and her eyes were shut tight. Ron did the only thing he could think of, he placed his thumbs on either side of her eyes and his index fingers just above her nose and began slowly messaging. Slowly her hands unclenched and came to rest on Ron’s shoulders. He continued to work out the tension until her eyes gradually opened. They sprang with tears and she flung herself in Ron’s arms. Startled, Ron put his arms around her and gently rocked. “Hermione it’s alright, I wouldn’t have let anything happen.” “Oh, I’m so sorry I’m acting this way,” she shuddered. “I just can’t help it.” Ron ran his hand across her back in a soothing motion, “I never knew it scared you so much. Why does?” “I’ve always tried not to show it, I couldn’t stand it if you all thought me weak,” she shook her head “I just feel like I have no control. I’ll just slip and keep falling forever and no one can save me.” “I would, Ron said so quietly Hermione thought she was hearing things. She lifted her head from his chest and looked up into his blue eyes. “I would save you.” “You would?” Ron lowered his head and his lips were a breath away from hers. “Yes,” Ron looked into her teary brown eyes, he couldn’t look away. He wanted to stay here forever. Hermione’s hand reached up to his face and rested on his cheek. But then, she slowly pulled away. Ron felt an emptiness without her in his arms. His heart felt heavy and his body clumsy while he watched her walk over to her baggage. “I should probably go to the platform now. The train in leaving in 20 minutes.” She lifted her bags on to her shoulders and bent down to grab the trunks strap. “Here I’ll grab the trunk.” Ron walked forward and grabbed it from the ground. “Thank you.” She said looking away from him. “Oh it’s nothing. It’s really not that heavy--” “No,” she interrupted him “For bringing me here and for helping me a moment ago.” “Anything for you, Hermione,” Ron said seriously. A small smile quivered on her lips, “Thanks Ron,” she gave him a playful punch in the arm and started to walk into the station. Ron frowned as he followed her. That wasn’t exactly the reaction he was hoping for. Maybe he was the only one with these feelings after all… They reached the platform and Ron put the trunk with the pile of all the others. Hermione had taken Crookshanks out his basket for one last stretch before the train ride. “Hey Crookshanks,” Ron scratched behind his ears “I’m going to miss you, you fat fur ball.” Hermione laughed as she put Crookshanks back, “Suure you will.” “I will! I’ve become quite fond of that cat.” She laughed a little more but than there was silence. They just looked at it each other. ‘I love you. Don't go Hermione,’ It was on the tip of his tongue but he couldn’t say it. Even as she gave him one last long hug and a kiss on the cheek before she grabbed her bags, he couldn’t say them. As she walked up the little steps to the train and she waved back at him before she disappeared from view, he couldn’t say them. He walked back to the alley not really seeing where he was going. Everything was a colorful blur. The rest of the world seemed to be going on without him. What was there left for him now that she was gone? Making it back to his broom he kicked off from the ground and the air whooshed around him. The world seemed colder. The harsh wind stung his face as tear fell from his eyes. Instead of the beautiful horizon before him all he could see was Hermione. Instead of the wind rushing by all he could hear was ‘I love you. Don't go Hermione,’. All he could think about were the words that he just couldn’t say. * In a book- in a box- in the closet

Ron landed beside the small lake that was on the border of his family’s property. He and his siblings would always play in and around the lake every spring and summer. And whenever everyone else was at Hogwarts or work and it was just Ginny and him, they would swim all day long. Ron had even tied a rope to the tree on the lake’s edge so they could use it to jump in. The lake was always a place to spend time with the family, together time.
All those memories came flooding back to him. He smiled wistfully to himself as he remembered all the times he would toss Ginny in or he would stand on Bill’s shoulders and Bill would fall back into the water. The painful slap of the water was always worth it for the thrill of it all.
But as he looked over the edge into the water he didn’t expected to see: A lanky boy in tattered overalls, boyish face, full of smiles, with vivid red hair, bold freckles, and surrounded by his family looking back at him. But he didn’t.
Instead of overalls he had donned jeans and a thinning t-shirt. On the length of his muscular arms you could see the scars from the Ministry expedition. His lankiness had filled out into broad shoulders and he didn’t look foolishly tall anymore. The boyish face had thinned out and his high cheekbones were more prominent. Instead of the smiling face he looked as if he had had his entire world ripped away from him. It seemed as if he wasn’t sure how to smile anymore. His red hair, no less vivid, had grown a little longer so that it lay lazily across his forehead just above his eyebrows. The boldness of his freckles had not faded, but they no longer made him seem childish. And he was alone. There was no large boisterous family around him, protecting him from the evils of the world. And in all reality they hadn’t been there for quite awhile now. He had faced so many evil beings over the last eight and half years of his life that he had always had to be on is guard. Yes, he had always relied on the protection his family had offered, but that all vanished two years ago. He had become the one protecting his family. He saw and did things he would never forget or speak of again. Those two years would haunt him for his entire life. But he would never change what he did for anything in the world. Being at Harry’s side is where he belonged. Fighting for his family was what he was meant to do. That uncertain, foolish boy from a family 9 had grown into a strong and wise man. He had become the man he always hoped he would be, but there were still some things he had not expected.
This was the first time in his entire life Ronald Weasley had ever been alone. The pain stabbed at him like a thousand dull knives. He didn’t know if he would ever be able to bear it.
Ron sank to his knees and stared at his reflection as if he was searching for answers. Was there ever going back? Could he ever be as innocent as he once was? Would he ever see Hermione ever again? Did she ever love him? But it was hopeless to dream. No good ever came from dreaming.
Ron striped off his clothes and dived into the cold clear water. It was so cold it was prickling his skin and he seemed to become numb almost instantly. But he didn’t mind, he welcomed the sensation. Because that was how he was feeling. He floated on his back and watched the dark clouds in the sky. He breathed in the frigid air and sank back into the water. Swimming lower beneath the surface he skimmed his hand along the rocky bottom. Looking up at the surface he saw the sun had disappeared, swimming up he realized that it had started raining. Instead of running to shore, Ron just swam closer the waters edge to a place where he could stand.
Slowly he stood and let the downpour of water pound against his bare skin. Ron lifted his face to the sky and closed his crying eyes. Soon he couldn’t tell what were his tears and what was the rain, but did it matter? It was as if the world was feeling his pain.
After the rain had subsided to a soft sprinkle Ron stepped out of the lake and put his damp clothes back on. He picked up his broom and walked in the direction of his home, he didn’t even glance back at the lake. The sensation of leaving something behind was too great to even think of looking back.
When he reached the broom shed he tossed his broom in and locked the doors. He walked the few steps to the door. He opened it to find his parent’s talking at the table.
“Oh, Ron! We were so worried!” Mrs. Weasley exclaimed, “Where were you?”
“I just--”
Mrs. Weasley jumped out of her chair and started pacing in front of Ron, “How could you just leave like that and not tell me or your father where you were going? Yes, yes, I know you are 19 years old. But you are living under this roof and---how dare you not tell me where you were?! I had a heart attack when I went to wake you up for breakfast and you weren’t there! And it is now almost 5 o’clock! Times haven’t changed completely, you know. There are still dangers out there and I thought that--”
“Molly, for goodness sakes let him say something. He can take care of himself. Lord knows he has proven that.” Mr. Weasley interrupted with a shake of his head.
Ron sent his father a thankful glance before turning back to his mother, “I took Hermione to the train station. That’s all. Now if you don’t mind, I want to be alone.”
“Train station?” Mrs. Weasley gapped.
“Where is she going?” Mr. Weasley said at the same time.
“Away.” Ron didn’t even wait for them to reply but walked out of the kitchen to the stairs. Taking them three at a time he reached his bedroom in seconds.
He flung off his cold wet clothes and changed into warm clean ones. He crawled into bed and wrapped his covers all around him. His gaze strayed to his bedside table to the picture of Harry, Hermione, and him. Hermione was in the middle and Ron and Harry had their arms around her, they all had huge smiles on their faces and would periodically start laughing.
More tears start to form in the corner of his tired red eyes. Slowly Ron cried himself into a troubled sleep.

Ps. I know some people think it's "unmanly" or whatever for a guy to cry. Well, I don't think so. There is nothing wrong with a guy who cries! He can be strong and cry too. He gets as sad as the next person right? Well I'm sorry if it seems Ron cries to much..because I'm not trying to make it seem that way... | |

First to post! That was just amazing writing! I had tears in my eyes too, sharing Ron's pain!!!! Just wonderful writing! I can't say that enough!!!!!!You are very, very good! I can't wait to read more!!!!!

I thought that was great! I don't think it's unmanly for a guy to cry... I think it shows that he's caring and sensitive or something. Anyway, I feel bad for Ron... he's so sad.
