SUMMARY - Harry potter has encountered many surprises in his short life. Some of them were good but most of them were bad. This summer yet again brings innumerable surprises for him & for the people close to him. How will they handle it? Read & find out.

INTRODUCTION - This story starts just a week after school ends & Harry is sent to Privet Drive. The Weasleys & Hermione directly go to Grimmauld Place as soon as the holidays start.

CHAPTER - 1

Ginny sat down heavily on the muddy carpet, ignoring the cloud of dust that erupted from it. She pulled two old cardboard boxes towards her & desperately starting fishing its contents one by one.

Ever since her family had moved to Grimmauld Place at the end of her gruesome & hateful fourth year at Hogwarts she had confined herself to Sirius’s old room searching frantically for the last few remnants of the Potters property.

Last summer Sirius had told her about it & had asked her help to search for the box. At first, Ginny was reluctant & bewildered as to why would he ask her of all the people for help, but after she got to know Sirius better she had agreed to help him.

Harry was unaware about their little search because they had not wanted him to get his hopes up which, according to Ginny was a good thing because the last time she had owled Sirius, he had not found the box & was losing his hope to ever find it.

Ginny had been on the search, since seven days & she had only come out of the room when she was starving or when she had needed a place to relax & think & there was just one room in the huge house which complied with all of these needs.

Just then an irritating sound broke her concentration startling her “Beep! Beep! Beep! “. Frustrated, Ginny looked at her watch & swore under her breath. Oh no!! It’s already 5:30 she thought Harry will be here within an hour. Heaving a frustrated sigh she put the boxes in the ‘Done’ pile & stood up, making her swear once again as her muscles ached in protest.

Gingerly walking over to her room Ginny thought about taking a shower. So, she stripped down in her room, put on a bathrobe & left for the only usable bathroom.

As soon as she saw her reflection in the bathroom mirror, it squealed, “My! My honey! Not sleeping well, are we? You know, those dark circles don’t compliment your pretty face”. Sure enough there were bags under her eyes & they had lost their usual spark. She had also lost a considerable weight due to the lack of food. Not caring, Ginny instantly retorted, “Shut up!” to the mirror & then the next moment felt ashamed of her self for snapping at a stupid mirror.

Removing her bathrobe, she turned on the shower & stepped into its range of spray letting all the grime & sweat wash away with the hot water that cascaded down her body.

Welcome Ottery & thanks for reading & replying!! So, true to my word here's the next post!! If you find it boring then please don't hesitate to tell me or even yell at me!! But I felt it was necessary for you all to first understand what exactly going on!! OK here goes.....


Removing her bathrobe, Ginny turned on the shower & stepped into its range of spray letting all the grime & sweat wash away with the hot water that cascaded down her body. She groaned as the hot water soothed her aching muscles.

While scrubbing her body with her favourite strawberry scented soap, Ginny thought about the only person that had plagued her mind these days. Harry Potter.

She was unaware about the real reason behind his early arrival. But something – maybe her newly developing woman’s instinct she thought vaguely – told her that it was her mother’s constant, never ending & totally unsurprising wrath that had made even Dumbledore – the greatest wizard of all times – back down on his decision. She chuckled as she pictured this in her mind.

Ultimately Ginny’s thoughts returned to ‘The Box’. She didn’t even know why was she bothering to look for it? Why was she making herself suffer for a boy who didn’t even know that she existed on the face of this earth?

For whom she was & will always be a silly little girl with a silly little crush on the ‘BOY – WHO – LIVED’ . Who couldn’t even stay in the same room as him for more than 30 seconds.

However, Ginny knew that in reality this was far from the truth. At least now it was.

This is very moving and too often real. The people we meet in childhood stay children to us too long. But she may search for the box in honor of Sirius.

Here goes....


All Ginny knew was that she had to find that Box & very soon. There was a voice in her head which constantly nagged her to search for it.

Coming back to reality with a start, Ginny reached out for her favourite shampoo, angrily squeezed it on her palm & started massaging her scalp with a bit more force than required.

Random thoughts floated through her mind as the shampoo was washed away & she couldn’t do anything to stop them.

‘That ruddy voice will taunt me forever. It will drive me mad if I don’t find that box. I have to find it soon, she as thought her lips curved, forming a frown. Though, why does that voice sound so familiar?

As she started stretch out her hand to take a fresh towel, she froze. She felt her stomach turning into steel as realization hit her. That voice sounds like Sirius.

Ginny’s eyes stung as a new feeling of grief & sadness washed over her. She tried to pull herself together with much difficulty.

Leaning on the counter in front of the mirror, she looked at her reflection & sternly scolded her self, “STOP! Stop, thinking about it Ginny. He wouldn’t want that. Think about the happy moments you spent with him last summer.” She kept on chanting these words under her breath like a mantra until she calmed down.

Taking a deep breath Ginny pushed those unwanted thoughts at the back of her mind & started drying her damp hair with a towel.

After putting on a new bathrobe she took a last look at her reflection & smiled as she saw that there was no evidence whatsoever for anyone to think that she had been crying.

Satisfied with her appearance she opened the door & headed towards her room thinking that she had at least a few moments to change before dinner.

But she never got to her room in time because just outside the bathroom she bumped right into someone she least expected to meet right now, no less in a bathrobe.

Yes! Ginny is becoming aware of just what's driving her. And Ah also think it's Harry.

It's still great, Moony. Is that Harry she bumped into. IN HER BATHROBE. I can just imagine how awkward that'll be. Lol. And Poor Ginny. It never occured to me that she would miss Sirius so much. I mean, I knew she'd miss him. I just never thought she'd miss him that much. It was brilliant. Keep it up.
