Hi everyone, this is my first ff!!!!!!!!!! Hope ya’ll like it!!!!!!!!!

Summary: It’s Harry, Ron and Hermione’s 6th year back to Hogwarts and they couldn’t be happier because they had a really good summer that let them bond. But when Hermione receives a letter stating that she will become Head Girl, she couldn’t be happier until she reads on into the letter and finds out who the Head Boy will be. Draco.

Harry, Hermione and the whole Weasley family were all sitting together enjoying a nice lunch.

"Is everyone looking forward to going back to school?," Mr. Weasley asked,

" I’m ready to go back to school ," Hermione said aloud.

"I am," Ginny said.

"I know I’m not," Ron said. "I’m sick of all the work. The teachers give me more work than I can deal with. Plus, I’m sick of all the teachers."

"I agree," Harry replied.

"Oh honestly boys, the teachers aren’t all that bad. I mean, Snape is the only teacher that is bad. We’re allowed to get out of his class this year, so take advantage of it. The teachers are nice and they know what they are teaching, what more could you ask for?," Hermione Replied.

"Well, I might just do that! Sike! If I want to ever be an Auror, I have to take potions, you know that!," Ron retourted.

"Oh yeah, sorry about getting your hopes up," Hermione said, smiling.

"Ha ha, you are evil," Ron said playfully just as they heard a knock on the window.

Ron got up and opened the window just above the sink. The brown owl flew in gently and landed on the back of Hermione’s chair. The owl opened it’s mouth and dropped 4 letters into her lap then flew out the window. Ron closed the window behind the owl.

"Oh, these are our school supplies letters," Hermione announced. She passed a letter to Harry, Ron and Ginny, keeping her letter in her lap. When she was finished, she gently opened the letter, trying not to rip the letter its self. There was something heavy in the letter, and Hermione was anxious to see it. She finally got the letter opened and read the first letter. It wasn’t her school supplies letter, but yet a congratulations letter. She read half of the letter to herself and then squealed with joy. Everyone looked up at her. Hermione was wearing a huge smile across her face. She began to read the letter aloud.

"Dear Miss Granger, I am pleased to inform you that you have been chosen to accept the task of becoming Head Girl of Hogwarts. Enclosed in with this letter is your badge that you must attach to your robes and wear it when you wear your robes. Professor Dumbledore specifically chose you for this position. We hope you accept it and become Head Girl. The boy that has been selected to become Head Boy is….." Hermione’s voice trailed off. "Draco Malfoy."

Hermione gasped at the words that just came out of her mouth. The Head positions of the school were only for the smartest and most honest students there. How could Draco be smart?? He hardly ever did his work, and when he did, he almost always got a "P" for Poor. How could Draco be honest?? He was foul and cruel to everyone who stepped in his path. He also had a knack for lying. There was NO way that Draco Malfoy deserved the position of Head Boy, and Hermione was sure of it.

Meanwhile at the Malfoy Manor, the family was rejoicing at the fact of Draco becoming Head Boy. His dad was so proud, and his mother was crying. Draco felt a tinge of pride burst into him. He had never had this feeling before. His dad always seemed to never really care about Draco. But that had changed, hopefully for good, and Draco had never been happier.

"Ok kids, lets go into this shop to get your quills," Mr. Weasley said to Harry Hermione, Ron and Ginny. After all the kids stepped in, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley followed. There were so many quills; Pink ones, Blue ones, quills that wrote without someone auctally writing, quills with multi-colored ink; any kind of quill you could think of, this store had it. Hermione had wondered off to look at some quills by herself when she felt someone tap her on the back. She turned around to face the Malfoy family.
"Congratulations, Miss Granger, this must be quite an accomplishment for you," Mr. Malfoy sneered.
"I bet you feel so special," Draco added throwing Hermione a dirty look.
"I’ll have you know I auctally deserve this job. I do all my work, and I make all "O"s . Most people would say that I deserve this position, and I don’t beg to differ. I work harder than any other student at Hogwarts, so that’s why I was picked. I wonder how you got picked, Draco," Hermione said looking Draco directly in the eye. "I didn’t have to buy my way into this position; I got in on pure talent."
For some reason, Draco felt a tinge in his stomach. He liked how Hermione was standing up to him. She had only done that once before, when she punched him in the nose.
"Well, well, well, I see Miss Granger finally found some courage," Mr. Malfoy said. "Took you long enough."
Hermione just rolled her eyes at the Malfoys just as Mr. Weasley came up to Hermione. "Are you all right, Hermione?," Mr. Wealsey asked.
"Yes, sir, I’m fine, thank you,’’ Hermione replied still staring at Draco.
"Ok, lets get you some quills and get going, you know we still have a lot of shopping to do," Mr. Weasley announced, looking at Mr. Malfoy.
"Hardly," Mr. Malfoy retorted as he grabbed his wife and son and took them out the door.

"You know, I’m honestly really starting to get sick of those Malfoys. They always seem to pop up at the wrong time," Ron said in between licks of his ice cream. "Do they not know how to be nice!?? I mean God, it’s really annoying. It’s getting old.’’
"I know, but they are just jealous of how a muggle-born student is better than their pureblood son. Don’t worry about it, Hermione, they are just doing it to aggravate you, and try to bring you down. Everyone knows that you are smarter and more honest than Draco is, I mean come on, it’s only common sense," Harry said looking at Hermione.
"I know, I know, but like Ron said, it does get old after a while. There is only so much a person can take, and I’m about ready to draw the line," Hermione said before she sighed.
"I know what you mean," Ron and Harry replied at the same time. Then it got silent.
Mr. Weasley broke the silence when he said, "Well, looks like we have everything off of you all’s supplies list, so lets head back home."
"Ok," everyone said picking up their bags and heading out of Diagon Alley.

jeeeeez, I need to stop racking up the fics - I'm never going to have time to read/write them once school starts again! haha

Great beginning!

Good grammar (with a mistake here or there

) and easy to read and understand. Still, I think you should do longer spaces between the paragraphs.

Oh and don’t forget to do cliff hangers!!

I love them and I think authors like them too.

Anyway, it was nice and I pictured every thing you described (this is very important, so keep up with the descriptions and improve them). Try to write longer posts and keep the characters “in character” because most authors seem to change Draco into a kind person with no explanation, and Hermione into a sexy beast - that's just plain pointless. He's definitely not a Sex God in my fics, for which I'm glad, because he's been raised to believe that muggleborns are mudbloods, and aren't worthy of any attention.

Anyway, good fic there and keep posting! PAMS! ^^

Loved them. Great posts!!! It's cool how you really captured the emotions of both of them showing how horrible they are to each other. Meanwhile at the Malfoy Manor, Draco was complaining to his father about Dumbledore’s choice of picking Hermione for Head Girl.

"Why did he have to pick her, though?," Draco asked his father annoyingly.

"Oh come on Draco, stop acting stupid. You know he was going to pick her. She is the smartest student at that school. Weather we like it or not, she is Head Girl, and we’re going to have to deal with it. But, you will be left to make sure she knows who’s boss, and that, my son, is you," Lucius said. Draco couldn’t believe how his father was acting. Draco liked it, but knew it wouldn’t last long. His dad was hardly ever nice, so when he was, Draco savored every moment of it, even if it was about Hermione. But Draco’s thoughts about Hermione we’re starting to change, and he didn’t know why, but he was starting to like it.

It was August thirty-first and Hermione was awake late packing, getting ready to go back to school. She laid her robes on her bed and smoothed them out. Then she took her Head Girl badge in her had and stared at it. She smiled, and felt like she had accomplished something in her life, even if it did include Draco. But since their encounter at Diagon Ally, her feelings for Draco were changing, and she didn’t know what to think about it. She shook her head and then slowly pinned the badge onto her robes. Then she slowly and lightly picked up the robes and folded them, gently laying then into her trunk. Now, she knew she was ready to go back to school, and she was very excited. She sat down on her bed, and just stared at the ceiling for a moment or two. She knew this was going to be a good year, and she couldn’t be more ready for it. She scooted over and blew out the candle on her night stand, then slipped under the covers and fell asleep with a smile on her face.

"Bye mum, bye dad," Ginny and Ron said to Mr. and Mrs. Weasley at the same time. Then they each took a hold of their carts and ran in between Platforms nine and ten. Ginny first, because she is a girl, and then Ron. All that was left was Hermione and Harry. Then they did exactly what Ginny and Ron did and ran through the barrier. They slowed down when they realized they had reached their destination; Platform 9 ¾. Ron and Ginny were waiting for them, and once they were all together, they pushed their carts to the loaders and then went to find an empty compartment where they could all sit. After walking all the way to the back of the train, they found one and they walked in and sat down; Ron next to Harry and Ginny next to Hermione. They had started talking and didn’t even realize that Draco was in their compartment.

"Granger, Professor McGonagall has told us that we are to sit in the front with her. She needs to talk about the "duties"(Draco doing air quotes on the work duties) as Head Boy and Head Girl," He announced looking annoyed as if he had better things to do with his life.

"Oh, well, I guess I better go then," Hermione said with a huff, looking at her three best friends. She was trying to keep her distance as much a possible from Draco and it apparently hadn’t been working.

"Go on then, we’ll meet you at the feast tonight," Harry said and he swished his hand showing Hermione to leave. She picked up the book laying beside her and followed Draco to the front of the train. The compartment was empty, except for a note that was on a bench to the left. Draco bent down to retrieve the note, but Hermione snatched it before Draco reached it. She opened it and read it aloud.

"Dear Miss Granger and Mr. Malfoy, I wish to congratulate you both on accepting the tasks of Head Boy and Head Girl. I am very proud of you both and hope that you represent each of your positions well. I understand that you thought that I would be on the train with you two, but I am not, because I need to be at Hogwarts at the present time. So I will describe what it means to be Head Boy and Girl. As Head Boy and Girl, you are a standard above the rest. You have been chosen over several other students, and we expect nothing but the best from the both of you. While in this position, you must complete tasks, and they generally will not be too difficult. The first task is to sit in this compartment and be civil towards each other the whole ride to school. Once you get to school, after the feast, Professor Dumbledore will lead you to your common room, the one you will both be sharing, and tell you the next task that you are required to complete. I trust you can complete the first task simply and I will see the both of you at the feast tonight. Sincerely, Professor McGonagall."

Hermione looked up from the paper to see the look on Draco’s face. He was smiling at her, but when he realized that she had looked up at him, his face went blank.

"Ok, the first task seems simple enough, so lets do what she said and be civil to one another," Draco said, looking Hermione directly in the eye. When he did this, Hermione’s stomach seemed as if it were an Olympic Gold medalist figure skater that kept doing jumps over and over and over again. They both stood there staring and they both didn’t want it to end. After Hermione couldn’t take to look at Draco’s stunningly beautiful gray eyes anymore, she sat down in her seat and opened the book: Hogwarts A History for the ninth time in her life and began reading.
