1. Accio A long trail of red hair streaked by him quickly. Snape looked left, only to see the owner of it crash into Lucius Malfoy, a Slytherin who Snape knew would not take well to having walked into a 2nd year mudblood.
“Oh! Sorry!” Lily piped quickly, staring innocently into Lucius’ cold eyes. With a flick of his wand aimed at her school books, they all clattered to the floor. Then he strode past, snickering, “clumsy mudblood…”
As soon as Lucius was out of sight, Snape hurried over to her, and began pick up her books before she had even noticed his presence. Green eyes glancing up, she gave a warm smile, “Thank you, Sev’. I don’t know what his problem was, I apologized…” Lily trailed off.
Snape frowned. He knew exactly why, but couldn’t bring himself to tell her. Instead he pulled out his wand to summon a quill that had rolled out of reach. “Accio Quill!” He caught it with ease.
“Here you go.” Snape said, handing her the last item. Lily looked at him earnestly. “Thanks again, you are a lifesaver. I’ve got to run now… talk to you soon, alright?” she called to him as she hurried down the hall. | |

Two words. Words that ended it all.
Lily sat by the gate of Godric’s Hollow and sighed. She remembered learning the curse in school, thinking about how she would never even have to remember it because she was never, ever going to have to worry about it.
Heh. Look how that turned out…
She signed again. She didn’t get along with him anymore by any means, but almost being killed by his misaimed curse was a good way to bring back memories. A curse aimed for James.
The voice in her head patronized her.
How can you even be sure it was him? It could have been any deatheater firing that curse; they all wear those masks…
But as much as she tried to convince herself she was wrong, she knew...

Avada Kedavra!
“LILY!”
Oddly enough, it was her name, not the curse that could kill her, that caught her attention. Lily turned around hastily to see a bright green light shoot right over James’ shoulder and fly straight toward her. She stood in place frozen with fear, as the curse whisked by her hair and instead blew apart wall behind her.
And she stared straight into the mask of the person that had screamed her name. For it had not been James’ voice that had shouted to save her…
It had been the deatheater who shot the curse. It had been Snape.
