Here’s the second part, guess nobody likes it, oh well…
About five minutes later, Kara, Amanda, and Jenny came into the pub, looking wildly around. They spotted her and ran over. Amanda who was caring and compassionate asked
“Are you ok?” Kara on the other hand had the compassion of a rock demanded
“What’s with the spaz attack?” Jenny the “smart one” calmly said
“I understand perfectly, Delilah and it’s nothing to be ashamed of.”
“That’s a real shocker.” Kara muttered.
“What are you talking about? I have no idea what your talking about.” Delilah said, though she knew perfectly well what Jenny was talking about. Suddenly there were two identical intakes of breath.
“No way!” Amanda squealed.
“I can’t believe you!” Kara said punching her in the arm.
“Come on, Lilah, the first step is admitting it to yourself.” Jenny sighed.
“Admit what? I have nothing to admit. Nothing about anything. No admitting needs to be done here.” Delilah blurted out. All of her friends were smirking.
“do we need to spell it out for you?” Kara said.
“Ok, then, I will.” said Jenny when Delilah didn’t reply.
“Well-” Jenny began, but Kara cut her off.
“When you take out all the complicated stuff you end up with two words-you’re jealous!”
“Well-I-I-you see-because” Delilah stuttered, but could think of no defense. She pitied herself a little for friends like Jenny and Kara.
“Ok, maybe, I like Draco.” She blushed furiously, but then felt tears well in her eyes again. Draco had just walked in with Alexis. Amanda noticed this too and gave Delilah a little hug.
“I think I just wanna be alone.” she said, trying to find a little dignity. She got up and attempted to wipe the tears off her cheeks. Her friends nodded and waved at her as she headed to the door, but Draco stopped her.
“Hey are you alright?” He noticed that tears were steaming down her face and his expression changed. “Lilah?”
“I’m f-fine.” she said, not even bothering to suppress a sob. Delilah ran for the door and sprinted down the street. She finally stopped to catch her breath near the Shrieking Shack. She leaned on the fence and let tears roll freely, when a song floated into her head.
Hold on, but don’t hold to tight,
Let go, it’s gonna be alright,
Don’t run away from what your heart is saying…
Delilah kept repeating the words in her head, to help drive any form of thought away.
Back at the pub, Draco was thoroughly concerned, he had never seen Lilah like this. I wonder what happened. I gotta find out, she’s my girlfriend, I mean a girl who’s a friend, yeah. Give it up, she doesn’t feel that way, you have Alexis now, *sigh*. Draco shook himself mentally and went towards the door. But Alexis grabbed his arm.
“Where are you going?” she demanded.
“Oh, I was gonna see if Lilah is ok.”
“I think Delilah is just fine.” Alexis said this as if Delilah was some kind of animal. She pulled Draco into a booth next to Jenny, Kara, and Amanda’s. He turned to them while Alexis was getting drinks.
“Is she alright?”
“Ummm.. she…” Amanda tried to think of a reason.
“She had a…” Kara couldn’t think of anything either. The three exchanged nervous glances. Inside, Draco couldn’t stand it (he had no idea why though) she had seemed so upset and even more so when she looked at him. Alexis had come back with the drinks.
“Draco?”
“I’m really sorry, Alexis, but I gotta go, ah, sit and chat with them.” he replied pointing to the girls (it was hard to tell who looked more disgusted.)
“Draco!” Alexis called, but he was already taking off down the street. Alexis was fuming, normally he would have taken her with her or called her Lexie and kissed her. She would have went after him, but there were butterflies faster than her..
Draco raced down the road, looking her blonde waves in every window. He tried two other paths, before he took the one to the Shrieking Shack. He saw Delilah sitting on the fence.
“Thank gawd, I found you. What’s up? What happened?” he panted. Delilah muttered something.
“Sorry?”
“I said, nothing happened that you’d care about.” Delilah turned to hop of the fense, but Draco held her still (which sent a little chill up and down her spine, but forgot it quickly.) More tears formed in her eyes and one feel onto Draco’s hand, he looked up at her and wiped a tear from under her eye with his thumb.
“Lilah…if you wanna talk… you know I’m here.” He climbed up on the fence next to her and was lifting her hair off her tear stained face. When a wild scream rent the air.
“WHAT IS THIS?!? GET AWAY FROM HIM YOU FILTHY COW! WHAT DO YOU THINK?” she yelled.
“You wanna know what I think? Do you?” Delilah screamed back, jumping off the fence. Her fist flew hitting Alexis dead in the face. Draco remembered that Delilah’s Quidditch robes said “Dangerous” and he stepped back, smirking.
“Cow!”
“Snob!”
“Boyfriend stealer!” Alexis called.
“I didn’t steal him! He came her if you haven‘t noticed!” Delilah yelled back.
“He wouldn’t have if you didn’t flip your stupid blonde hair everywhere! Here, lemme pull that out for you!” Alexis lunged, tackling Delilah. But when the brawl went into full swing Delilah had the upper hand easily (being a beater.) Devin and Carter (Delilah’s older brothers who were twins.)
“Rabbit punch sis!” Carter yelled.
“Not that I’m saying that isn’t a good idea, but get the git.” Devin said and began to pull them apart.
Even though Delilah was stronger, she was still sporting a number of cuts and a fat lip. Alexis was much worse, however, she had a very bloody nose, a lot of bruises, and a bit fat shiner was appearing on here left eye.
About ten minutes later, Delilah and Alexis were sitting in the hospital wing while Professor McGonagl was yelling herself horse.
“ STARTING A FIGHT, REALLY? TWO WEEKS DETENTION EACH!” She walked away rubbing her temples. Every single one was worth it. Delilah thought to herself. She got up from the chair and exited the hospital wing, Draco was waiting for her.
“Hey, I-um are you ok? What was that fight about any-?” he stopped talking though. Delilah had pressed her lips to his.
“Who got to do that and have you.” she said not looking at him. Draco slipped his hand into hers.
“I didn’t know.”
“Course you didn’t” Delilah laughed. They began to walk down the empty corridor hand in hand.
“Why did you get a fat lip over me? Why not just tell me?” He asked.
“There are two answers to that, one which is very complicated and confusing, the other simple yet satisfying. To spare your boy brain, I shall give you the simple one.” She giggled.
“Which is?” he said looking into her eyes.
“That’s what girls do.” she kissed him on the cheek and they continued walking.
