What the....?Harry sat up in bed.He had been listening to the wizarding Network,but he was sure this was a muggle song.

And I've thrown my words all around
But I can't,I can't give you a reason

He was just started to ponder the band name when a soft knock resounded on his door.
"Yes?"He said,swinging his feet off the bed.

I feel so broken up
And I give up
I just wanna tell you so you know

"Hey Harry."Harry's breath caught as the door opened to reveal a doe-eyed Luna.

Here I go

"What do you want?"Harry didn't mean to sound so accusing,but still....this was the girl who was gonna die for his well-being.
Luna's head rolled to side at his words,and she seemed to sigh.

Scream my lungs out and try to get to you
You are my only one

Luna closed her eyes."I came to...."
"Let me guess.Check on me?"Harry was being downright tenatious now.But he was not gonna let her off that easy.

I let go

Harry leaned on his door a bit."What if,Luna,I were tell you that I didn't want or need Sirius back?"
Luna's head snapped back into it's normal position."Then I would tell you you're being a pathological liar!"

Harry's mouth parted and sagged at the corners.Luna was glaring now,and boy,did Luna have a glare.She walked into his room and spun around.
"Do you know what your problem is,Harry?!"

Made my mistakes,let you down

"No."Harry's dry humor spit itself out."Why don't you enlighten me?"
Luna gaze turned sour and Harry imediatly regretted his words."You are your own problem,you idiot kid.Don't tell me my own."For some reason he couldn't make his mouth shut up.

And something's breaking up

"No."

I feel like giving up

"Not giving up on you."

I won't walk out until you know

"Stop taking from the song,Luna."
"Shut up,you big doof!"Luna rubbed her eyes."Your problem is that you don't want this death for me."

Harry didn't have the will to snort."Way to state the obvious,Luna."
"That's not what I meant."Her words dripped venom."

Harry's breath deserted him."What?"he hissed.Luna nodded,and a horrible truth started to sink in.

"Get out."Luna nodded again,and scurryed past him,as if she was afaraid of her own words.

"Don't be sorry!"Harry cried angrily.He could feel Luna pause.
"Don't worry.I'll never be"

And you will find some one.

Left all alone now.What an odd way to go psycho.Harry grinned and shook his head at this,but tensed when he heard singing.To that darn song on the radio,no less.

"Here you go

Harry turned slowly.The words were disorientated,as the person wasn't singing the right ones

"You let go
There's just no one who gets you like I do

Luna.His mind reeled a little,and he stumbled as she sung her last words.

"My only one

I messed the end of the song up purposely.

Why Harry thinks Luna's death is to easy will be revealed in the next chapter.Next chappie will also be a song post

Wow! i serously, wow, im speechless thats so deep, how you can get into the charachers minds so well! serously thats "wow" i dont know when the last time i cryed like that was, its so sad, like losing sirius all over again now with the possiblity of losing luna too, theres serousliy alot of depth and thought in you writing i love it! please keep writing

Who does she think she is?Like she's saving the world?Anybody could sacrifice their lives!But no,it has to be precious Luuna!

Did she just sing to me?

That cold....ugh!I bet he's still moping in his room.Why?His godfather's coming back!Does he even care that Luna's gonna die?

This turn of events is quite unfortunate.All the kids are so highstrung,it'll only take one more hit before one of them snaps.Note:keep close eye on Ginny.Redheads equals fiery tempers.Oh hell,just watch over the whole lot of 'em.

This empathy was totally killing her.

When I pretend

Empathy was required to raise Sirius.She had undergone the most painful,but quickest way of learning it,but had not gained full control.Dumbledore never realized that Luna already had the capability for empathy before he implanted the chip,so every thought was magnified,and richoted off her head.She had constant headaches,and was more often than not sick to her stomach.

When I pretend
I can forget about the criminal I am

And her friends...they were so torn up inside that she could hardly move from the pain that blocked all hope and hapiness.Her inevitable end that she fought so hard against crumbled away.

Though her body knew she couldn't do it,she cast a calming spell,and the voices stopped.
She had nightmares about those voices...

The world swirled around her as she held her hand to her head and crashed against the wall.

Luna was all emotions now.Anger from Harry and Hermione clouded her vision.Sadness from the twins and Ron engulfed every far reach of her mind.And jealousy,envy issueing so strong from Ginny gave her hand involuntary twitches.
Dumbledore's clarity was her saving grace.
But it also snapped the string that was holding everyting together.

As Luna passed into darkness,her psychic blast already flowing over Tonks and Harry,all hell broke loose.

I remember what they taught to me

Caught in sudden inspiration and anger,Harry stood up,intent on finding that ignorant,self-righteous Dumbledore.

Remember listening to all of that and this again

Snapping out of her reverie,Hermione went to find Harry.And he'd better hear her out....

Caught up in emotions too deep for her to fathom,Ginny decided she desperately need to talk to,and set off to find Hermione.

Ron looked over at his two brothers,he gave them nod and quietly left the room.His sister needed a good talking to before she did something drastic

Grown-ups had sonar hearing or something.Each in their own time realized and honed in on the fact that their string that they had depended on so long was gone,shredded into thin strips that had no support.Magic was at it's fullest...emotions were running high...or extremely and dangerously low.
Their legs had never run so fast.

Harry a corner then stopped."Ginny?!"
"You!"Ginny shrieked."Where's Luna?The girl needs to be taught a lesson."A plant behind her burst into flame.
Ron ran around another corner to hear the end of his sister's sentence."Older brother mode activated.Shut up,Ginny.My opinion,the girl's had too many lessons lately."
"Let her"Hermione said haughtily,walking from yet another corner."She's yelling at Harry right now,isn't she?He deserves it."The elephant leg that served as a umbrella holder sprang to life and ran at full gallop towards Harry.

"Mione,shut your trap!You don't what the hell you're talking abo-"He was cut off even as the elephant leg burst to bits.
"Oh!"Ron roared."So you think that Luna doesn't matter at all!"
Harry opened his mouth."I never-"
"Who cares about Looney anyway?She's just always trying to get everybody's attention."Ginny yelled.
Hermione turned to her and the once burning plant instantly turned to ash."Puh-lease,Ginny,get over it.Get over your stupid little crush!"

"SILENCE!I WILL HAVE PEACE,AND I WILL ORDER,AND-"

"Take that back"Mrs. Weasley grabbed hold of her son's ear and shook it.
"Oh do let go!"Mr. Weasley snapped at his wife.She let go,but only in shock.

"Arthur!"Lupin shook his head.Tonks groaned,"Oh,here he goes again."
Lupin turned to her."What's that supposed to mean?"Tonks stuck out her tongue and started yelling at Hermione from across the room.

Dumbledore attempted to regain control peace again,but it was no use.Luna's psychic blast magnified feelings to the level she felt them,which was deeper than he had ever imagined.

She felt every pain,every scratch on the surface,everything that scarred these wizards.He just had to find something that would calm them,make them see the good again.

Dumbledore scanned the room for any fracture in the hate and anguish,but there was no hope.Hermione was alternating from yelling at Tonks,Ginny,and Harry;The Weasleys were arguing amongst themselves;Harry was yelling at Hermione and having a conversation with Ronald at the same time;Tonks was now turning her full attention on Lupin and vice versa;and Ginny....
"Oh,I hate you!I hate every single one of you wretched people."And as the redhead attempted to storm out,a smile graced Dumbledore's features,for she couldn't leave through her passageway.
Luna had woken.

These words rang in Luna's head as she raised it.Dizziness swept over her as she sat up,but it was Ginny who was giving the real headache...and the Weasleys,and Hermione,and Tonks,and Harry,and bloody Lupin

"Empathy?"He looked up at Dumbledore,absentmindedly stroking Luna's Harry.Dumbledore nodded.
"It seems,Mister Potter,that the reviving of your godfather has been prolonged.Luna has mass amounts of empathy,and it's threatening to control her."

Everyone was fine now,"Thanks to Luna" Ginny said,tears in her eyes.She felt badly about the things she said.The others left Harry with Luna,an angel asleep in a devil's arms.
Harry looked down at her,tracing her face with his finger."Empathy.She knew my emotions."He made a face."So the very worst part of her...."

okay.Luna let out a psychic blast because she had empathy,but to much of it.Basically,she had to let it out somehow.Get it now.

Harry,Hermione,Ron,and Ginny sat in a circle,waiting for Dumbledore to let Luna out of the makeshift med bay Lupin and Tonks had created.It was their own way of forgiving each other for what they said while under Luna's..spell,for lack of a better word.
"I can't believe he put a chip in her brain without even seeing if she could do empathy in the first place."Hermione spat,glaring at the door.A sob issued from it and Hermione blanched.She looked away and buried her head in Ron's shoulder.
Ginny nodded."Me too,Mione.And plus,a chip isn't even magical!"
It was Harry's turn to nod."Chips are things Muggles have in their computers."Ginny and Ron snorted."But it had to of had a bit magic.I mean,it accelerated Luna's ability."
To the point of near-death.
The ending went unsaid,but hung in the air like a scent from long ago that was just barely there.
The four sat in silence.An more silence,until they thought their heads would burst from the vastness of it.Silence makes people think,and who wanted to think at a time like this.
Finally the said headmaster walked his majestical way out into their space."Luna will be ready in a few minutes."He reentered the med bay then.
The silence crept back.
"I thought it was too easy."
Hermione,Ron,and Ginny looked at Harry in surprise.His hands was clenched together,his knuckles a white pattern of veins.His head rested against them,the black of his hair contrasted oddly with the palor of his hands.
"What are you talking about,Harry?"Hermione said,dragging her head off Ron's shoulder.
"I thought her death was too easy."
"Why?"Ginny whispered.
"Because I thought it was torture for him.I thought it must of hurt so bad,to just fall,and never had an end.Sirius.I thought of him and just thought it wasn't fair that he died the way he did and she would have done it on her own free will."
Some of Hermione's old anger bubbled to the surface."Oh,you little-"Ron clapped a hand over her mouth."Look Harry.Luna's dying.For you.And you will have Sirius back.And it won't matter how his death was."
They all stared at him,at the coldness of his words,but he could never tell them how much that hurt.
"But now I realize."Harry spoke slowly."That it's a million times worse for her.To delibrately just drop into nothingness is completely suicidal,and we all know-Luna's against that."
Just sit in silence.That's all you can do.
Luna watched as the famous trio,and the little sister,stilled in a frame.The blood from the chipped sucked off her head into Dumbledore's wand,and he patted her on the back,letting her know she could leave.She didn't bother saying thanks.
"You okay?"Harry was up in flash,by her side,making sure she could walk fine.Which she couldn't;she gladly took the help.
"Thanks."

OMG! I am soooooo sorry I haven't posted in here about how good this is for so long. My friend reminded me about your story and I automatically came here. You just have to add more. and Poor Luna. I bet Sirius would be angry if Luna died to bring him back. Really p.o'ed. I know I would. Especially if that person was just a kid/teen. But keep writing I wanna know what happens!

"Hello."
Ginny stopped short,and her brother ran headlong into her.
"What is your problem?"Ron said,pushing the confused Hermione off his back.
Ginny whirled on him."Did you not just hear that?!"
Even as Ron began to shake his head,Luna,her position of complete tiredness on Harry's shoulder making her easy to miss and almost forgotten,whispered."Oh,my God."
Harry quieted her,causing Ginny to huff and turn away from the pair.What she saw made her half-die from shock.
The late Mrs. Black stared at them from painted sockets.A sane Mrs. Black.No screaming,nor ranting,or calling for her dear Kreacher.Just there,sitting there in haughty black.
"What do you want?"Harry spat.He was having obviously having difficulty speaking to this human who had caused so much pain in his godfather's life.
Black's eyes slid over him and rested on the girl on his shoulder."You!"When Luna didn't snap to life,the portrait sighed and continued.
"You are raising my son from the dead?"The four others nodded for Luna.
Black flashed teeth that were barely there,from the lack of ever actually being painted."Good."
And suddenly Sirius death came slamming back to Harry like a ton of bricks.He did not want to talk to this twisted old woman,with her stupid lies,and stupid treachery,and stupid all-around backwards....
He propped Luna a little bit,but she resisted.
"Lune?"He said softly.She glanced up at him,and he glared down.But her eyes held anything but hope and she was so broken,and she was hurting so much,and he couldn't hold on any longer.
So he let her go.
He slid away from her,and the hurt in her eyes increased to such a degree that it was physical pain that crashed down on him.
But she can't need me anymore.She just can't.
If she's to go through this...
When I can stop with just a shake of my head.
And the death came back to him.He reached out for Luna,but now she was walking towards Black's portrait.
"Why is this good?"And she sounded so much like a scolded child that could here the others' hearts break with his own.
Shattered.She was completely shattered.
"I need my son back."Black said loftily."You see,to carry on the line,to m-"
"You're not real."Luna's voice shook.Black's disdain flashed across her wasted face before leaning toward Luna,the only thing preventing them being nose to nose being the canvas.
"I'm more than you are,little girl."
Sirius smiled sadly at him...
The laughter had not died from his face..
"You heard them!Just beyond the veil.
"'M not giving up on you."
There was this unbearably horrible gaping hole that Sirius used to fill.
She has to go through with this!

With this final thought ringing in his head,Harry swung his wand forward.
"I curse you back to where you came from,witch!"
Black's screams would haunt the hall forever.

I just wanna cry.I want everyone to go away and let me die somewhere peacefully.
Luna tore her hands away from her eyes and stared at the huge crater in the wall.
"Repress hostility."Ginny sounded out of breath."Never good."
"Yeah."Hermione simply nodded."Harry,are you okay?"
"Of course."Luna stared at the Boy Who Lived in shock."That woman was awful.And now she's gone."
How can he say it like it's nothing?Like it didn't matter?
"Sirius would've been proud."

Harry turned to Luna,who was leaning heavily on a knarled turntable."You okay?"
"I'm fine."She snapped.He blanched and nodded.
