Hello everyone! This is my second FF on SS (unless you count a oneshot I did, in that case it's the third) and it's another Harry and Ginny fic! I love that ship so much... Anyway, this is basically what I wanted to happen at the beginning of Deathly Hallows, but it didn't, so I wrote it myself! I didn't re-write the whole book because if I did the FF would have lost it's effect and drifted away from the original theme and genre There's going to be twenty posts, but they are quite long posts

Disclaimer: I do not own Harry Potter or any of the characters involved.

But enough of my rambling, here's the first post:

~*An Irresistible Girl*~

Chapter 1: Leaving

If there was one thing Harry Potter hated, it was realising he’d done something bad. Even worse, was realising by doing this he’d hurt someone he loved.
Ginny Weasley was beautiful, popular and now thanks to him, totally heartbroken.
I had to do it! Harry thought, banging his head on his desk at Privet Drive.
I won’t be responsible for her death! Think what happened to Sirius, and Dumbledore…

This wasn’t the first time Harry had been fighting with his own head; his love-crazed mind was driving him slowly insane.

Ginny had been his girlfriend for the most amazing few weeks of his life, and then he’d ended it, just like that. Was it even his duty to protect Ginny?
Yes, said the voice in his head again. He’d done the right thing, he was protecting her. It didn’t matter either way now though, she’d never forgive him…

Suddenly, Harry heard a tapping noise at the window and looked up to see Hedwig bobbing outside, a letter tied to her leg. He pulled himself away from his desk and shuffled over to open the window. Hedwig soared in gratefully and dropped the letter on Harry’s bed, before diving for Harry’s breakfast remains. The Dursleys had actually taken to feeding him lately, as they were terrified of his “magical powers.”

Half asleep, Harry tore open the letter and dropped it in surprise.
It was from Ginny. He could see her handwriting…
Harry stood frozen for a few seconds, unable to read the letter. He couldn’t bring himself to do it, not with the possibility of anger and hatred hidden in the words!
Pulling himself together and once again convincing himself he’d done the right thing, Harry sat on his bed and pulled out the letter.

Dear Harry,

I know what you’re thinking, you’re protecting me and it was the right thing to do. Well I disagree I’m afraid! I still love you and that’s not going to change, no matter how stupid you’re being. I know you still love me, else you wouldn’t have done this. If you can’t see that we should be together then I’m going to have to fix you! I won’t give you my heart and watch you throw it away, I’ll get you back. I know it’s cruel and immature, but I fight fire with fire. So bite me.

Love Ginny.

P.S: I really do love you, and I’ll see you at Grimmauld Place. I’m sorry that you have to go back there…

Harry re-read the letter several times before dropping it on the floor. Did this mean Ginny was going to torture him until he took her back? That was the kind of thing she’d do… Ginny was right though, he did still love her more than she’d ever know. But he wouldn’t give in to her charms; he needed to be strong and protect her.
The only thing was, deep down he knew he wanted Ginny to torture him.

Thanks everyone I really appreciate all the comments oh and Steph, I uber triple pwomise that I will catch up with your FF asap, I know I'm really behind But anyway, here's the next post:

Harry was woken in the dead of night by a loud crash, followed by voices outside.
“Oh my, who or what was that?” said a voice.
“Sorry, sorry… didn’t see the ground!” said a female voice.
“Tonks you… idiot!” said another female voice.
“Sorry! It’s very dark…” said Tonks
“I can’t believe you sometimes!” said the first voice again.
“Alright that’s enough! It is very dark today…” said what sounded like Lupin.
“Yes! Thankyou Remus!”

Harry opened the window and squinted out into the garden.
Tonks was lying in a mess on the grass next to a broken broomstick. Lupin was helping her up. Kingsley Shacklebolt and Emmeline Vance were tapping their feet impatiently by the front door.
“Hi! Nice landing Tonks, you woke me up…” said Harry and all eyes turned to the window, observing almost 17 year old Harry Potter.
“Thankyou,” said Tonks sarcastically.

Lupin came upstairs and explained that Harry should come to Grimmauld Place for his own safety. Harry didn’t want to go back there, but it was the safest place to be.

Harry began throwing everything he could into his trunk, excitement flooding him.
I’m leaving the Dursleys he thought.
“Professor Lupin, what time is it?” Harry asked.
“I don’t know why you still call me Professor Harry, but it’s eleven at night. Come on we have to leave quickly!”
Harry slammed his trunk closed and grabbed his Firebolt, assuming they were flying.

Harry went downstairs dragging his trunk, to find the Dursleys standing in the Hallway in dressing gowns.
“What?” he asked, nastily.
“You’re leaving,” said Uncle Vernon, looking at his trunk.
“Yeah, I hope you have horrible and painful deaths. Bye.”
Harry turned around and stepped out into the garden, followed by the Dursleys.
“You’re just leaving, just like that?” asked Aunt Petunia, her bony face looking down at him as usual. “No thankyou for looking after you?”
“Actually I do have one more thing left to do,” said Harry, smirking.
“What’s that?” everyone else said in unison.

It happened quick as a flash.
Harry turned around and slammed his fist directly into Dudley’s face, knocking him flat on his back.
Aunt Petunia screamed and bent down over her son, who was lying still on the ground. Tonks was laughing and gaping at the same time, so she looked like a fish dying of thirst.
“Oh my goodness, Harry I think you knocked him out!” cried Lupin, unable to stop smiling.
“Is that a bad thing? Let’s go… quick… before my Uncle un-freezes preferably!” said Harry, gesturing to his Uncle. Vernon was staring at Dudley, unable to believe his eyes.

I so wanted that to happen in Deathly Hallows...

Hmmm . . . Aren't things happening a bit too fast? And, to be honest, I don't think the real Harry would ever have done all that he did, like hitting Dursley and knocking out Uncle Vernon. He was always an angry boy, but he was never this kind of angry. *shrugs*

Still . . . looking forward to your next chapter, hunny. Oh, and do you go by Wendy here? I hope it's okay if I call you that.

Yes I did notice it was going a little fast when I wrote this quite a while ago, I have an awful habit of rushing things sometimes I think what happened was I knew exactly how this FF was going to end up, and the beginning wasn't that important, nothing important was going to happen until he met Ginny really... so yes I did rush it silly really, I don't focus as much as I should on Harry's task to find the horcruxes or his tragic past, mainly because the main genre of this fic is romance and how Ginny (as Harry's twue wuv ) has power over him no one else does! This fic won't last that long anyway, he doesn't even get back to Hogwarts or start his journey

The Harry punching Dudley thing was something I had to think over quite a bit, but I eventually decided to stick with it. I always imagined Harry changong a lot during the seventh book, starting quite soon because of everything that happened at the end of book six (leaving Ginny and Dumbledore's death ) I imagined him becoming stronger, a little tougher even. I see Harry very different to many people due to basically how my mind works, as in my obsession with the Harry&Ginny ship that leads to constant daydreaming. Also it might have something to do with my desire for the world not to see people who aren't perfect and sporty and stereotypically blonde and gorgeous as ugly. I wanted Harry to be an example that it's not only jocks and chavs who are tough cookies! I didn't intend to link this little punchy to Harry's anger, more to his lust for revenge and the way he stands up for himself a little too much sometimes... in my eyes he does anyway, but I guess that's something I'll have to work on with my writing He didn't knock out uncle Vernon, just Dudley as payback for being beaten up every day for so many years...I know it's a drastic and ammaturish move to make in an FF, but I couldn't help it (is ammaturish even a word? *shrugs*)

oh flip, I've only gone and written an essay oh well... I really appreciate the constructive criticism; I'm determined to improve my writing skills in time for A level english Thanks for comments everyone, I'll update soon

edit: Yup, I'm Wendy and yeah sure it is!

Yes, you did do that - Write an esssay. XD But I had fun reading it, and I think I may understand your perspective better now.

When all's said and done, the chapter was/ is a nice read, and I think you have a natural style of writing, one that's completely your own, so PAMS! I really want to see the Harry&Ginny-ness, you know.

Once Tonks had finished her fish-like gaping, she walked outside and clapped Harry hard on the back.
“That was awesome Harry! Now get out ya Firebolt, we’re flyin’ to London.”
Lupin closed the Dursley’s front door quickly, knowing that Harry’s uncle wouldn’t be extremely happy about the incident.
“That kind of violence shouldn’t be encouraged really Dora, but I have to admit that not so little pig deserved it! Nice work in the revenge department Harry!” smiled Lupin, ruffling Harry’s hair proudly. Tonks giggled.
“You would say that wouldn’t you Remus: “that kind of violence shouldn’t be encouraged!”” Tonks cruelly imitated Remus, who punched her playfully. Harry watched them in mild shock, as Tonks leaned over and planted a tender kiss on Lupin’s cheeks.
“I hear Remonks Wedding bells…” Harry muttered, smirking. Lupin blushed and Tonks winked at Harry, beaming like the rising sun.

Tonks had definitely changed since last year. Her hair was perky and sky blue, bringing out a navy nose stud. Her face was up-lifting and bright, even in the dark. Happiness radiated from every inch of her body, which was dressed in punk, casual clothing and leaning comfortably on Lupin. Lupin also looked distinctly less shabby and worn in her presence.

Harry watched them and felt a pinch of sadness grip him. He and Ginny used to be like that, joyfully playful and just generally happy. He missed her cheeky kisses. He missed watching her laugh, talk, walk and everything in general…
Before he could think about Ginny any longer, Lupin was telling him to mount his broom and he was soaring through familiar heaven.

It had been weeks and weeks since Harry had flown a broom; it was like taking as well-needed breath of fresh air after nearly drowning. He did a couple of loops around his companions, before diving recklessly through a cloud. A few seconds later, the others caught up with him, all soaked after flying after him through the cloud. Harry suppressed his laughter, as he heard Emmeline Vance complain about her sticky robes.

After about an hour’s flight, the silence of the night was starting to disturb the whole group. Lupin looked alert and worried, it was far, far too quiet…
Suddenly, a swishing sound came from behind them. They all stopped and turned around, but nothing was there.
“Did you hear that?” asked Lupin, looking around at Tonks and Harry, who nodded in regretful agreement.

Emmeline Vance was sweeping around them, her eyes swivelling worse than Mad-eye Moody’s, searching the skies for any signs of other flyers.
