Hello everyone! I have a new FF and I am pleased to say that it is my 10th FF on SS! It is a D/Hr FF and it is called I Turn To You. This FF is also a one-shot.

This FF contains the lyrics to “I Turn To You” by Christina Aguilera.

“Miss Granger, why don’t you explain to the class why we have to let the potion sit for an hour before we continue to add the rest of the ingredients?” Professor Slughorn said as he watched Hermione.

Hermione jumped. She had been concentrating on her potion that she had not been paying attention.

“We were supposed to let it sit for an hour?” Hermione asked.

Slughorn seemed to jump back in shock.

“Why yes you were!”

“Oh…I didn’t know...” Hermione mumbled as she started to pack her things.

Lately everything was going wrong for Hermione. She had failed three of her weekly exams and she had a detention with McGonagall. She knew nothing of what the teachers were talking about these days and to top it all off she had no one to talk to. Harry and Ron were always talking about Quidditch.

The bell rang and Hermione got up and ran to the Astronomy Tower. She had a free period and she wanted to be alone. Why was everything going so wrong?

“Maybe I should drop out of school seeing that I am now stupid!” Hermione snapped to no one in particular.

“You are not stupid, Granger. You are just worried about what is going on at home with your parents”.

Hermione turned. Draco was leaning on the doorway.

“I don’t know what you are talking about,” Hermione snapped.

“I think you do. Your parents are fighting all the time and they are now getting a divorce.”

Hermione shot Draco a dirty look and said, “Listen! If you know what is good for you, you will mind your own business!”

And with that Hermione stomped off to class.

A few weeks later the tension in Hermione built up. Her parents had gotten a divorce and now they were both fighting to gain custody of her. Hermione had been asked to choose and she had said she would get back to them. She had failed six more exams and her temper had gotten her three more detentions. Why was all this happening to her?
To comfort herself she had started going to the Astronomy Tower every day. And she had started talking to Draco, who always seemed to be there when she needed someone to talk too.

“I don’t get why it is affecting me so much!” Hermione cried.

“It’s okay, you are just hurt that’s all,” Draco reassured her.

Over the next few months Draco comforted Hermione. Hermione learned to appreciate everything he was doing and soon realized she could turn to him for anything.

Then came Christmas vacation and Draco and Hermione went home. Hermione to her mom’s house and Draco to his parents’ house. And when they came back Draco was not the same. He treated Hermione like he did in their first years of Hogwarts. One day Hermione decided to confront Draco about it only to find out that Draco no longer had his mom and dad, they were both dead.

“Draco, I am so sorry,” Hermione whispered.

They found themselves at the top of the Astronomy Tower again and Draco was lying on the floor with Hermione beside him. Hermione wanted to comfort Draco who had always comforted her when she was down. And that’s when it came to her, Hermione pulled out her ipod and stuck and earphone into Draco’s ear. He jumped and said, “What is this?”

“Just keep it in there,” Hermione sighed.

Then Hermione stared to play a song that reminded her of Draco and how helpful he was.

When the song ended Hermione whispered, “Draco I was able to turn to you for everything and I still am. I can’t do that with anyone else.”

Draco smiled.

“And I want you to be able to do the same with me. No matter how horrible something is just know that you can turn to me for anything, okay?”

“Thanks Hermione. And I know, I mean I can turn in any other direction, left, right, forward, back, but only one way leads me to you.”

Hermione smiled and said, “Same here Draco.”
