Chapter 1, Part 1- The Arrival

The one with the power to vanquish the Dark Lord approaches.
Born to those who have thrice defied him, born as the seventh month dies
and the Dark Lord will mark him as his equal,
but he will have power the Dark Lord knows not and either must die at the hand of the other for
neither can live while the other survives.


A light crack filled the air on the stormy shore. He had dark messy hair and bottle green eyes. He also had a lightning shaped scar on his forehead and round glasses. Harry Potter stood on the shore not too far from the cave that he was led to by Albus Dumbledore, the greatest wizard, the only one the Dark Lord ever feared. Where he had sacrificed himself for a mere boy. Harry stood on the hard floor of the cave, nothing seemed to have changed, and the memory was still vivid. A tear rolled down the seventeen year old's face and he hastily wiped it away. He had to keep on track. He walked towards the space that held the door into the cave and just like his hero, placed his hand on it. Blood was what was needed and Harry dutifully slit his hand, letting the blood drop onto the stone that marked the entrance. The doorway was revealed and as it slid away Harry stepped into the familiar space that had haunted his dreams for so long.

None of it surprised him. He had seen it all before. Harry made his way carefully around the black lake to the boat that was tied of close to the edge. He carefully stepped into the boat, his presence registered by the magic that he processed. The boat gently rocked from side to side as he was floated across the space to the little island that he had been attacked by Inferi. The boat rocked a little more violently as an object broke the surface, the lake was still inhabited by them. He wasn’t afraid, just anxious for what he would find on the island. He knew Voldemort was defenceless, Harry had destroyed all of his Horcruxces but he wasn’t sure if the Dark Lord knew it too.

Harry took a deep breath, he was on the island. The boy stepped out of the slightly rocking boat careful not to touch the water around him. There was the pedestal, just as it was before, but it no longer glowed with a greenish light. Now it was a shimmering reflection of white light. It was somewhat comforting. Harry moved towards it and looked into the shimmering contents. It was a pensive. The swirling thoughts glowed a brilliant white and Harry knew the Dark Lord was waiting for him. Harry reached into his pocket and pulled out something wrapped in plastic and set it down at the foot of the pedestal. A sherbet Lemon. Dumbledore’s favourite muggle sweet. Harry smiled at the package wistfully and then turned his attention back to the pensive.

He knew he had to go in and he didn’t have a choice. Harry dived into the memories head first. It was the cave. It must have been the first time that the orphanage had gone on a field trip, there were a number of small children in the distance and what looked like Tom Riddle tormenting two children.

“Hello Harry,” a voice said. How considerate of you to visit my memory.”


This Fan fiction is intended to give a way in which Jo Rowling would fulfil the proffecy. Once the book is released or I finish my contribution to the proffecy it will serve as the sequel to After the DA-Sa13+ which I am currently writing. This is my second FF ever and I hope you enjoy the posts that follow!

Chapter 1, Part 2- The Encounter

Harry turned his gaze on the present day Tom Riddle. His ghostly white face and blood red eyes contrasted to the image of a handsome young boy. “It’s a shame that you are alone, isn’t it Harry?” The Dark Lord said walking around Harry, stroking his face. Pain seared his skin, bringing tears to his eyes but he held them back. He wouldn’t be weak any longer.

“Your time’s up, Voldemort,” Harry replied his voice steady and unmoving as Voldemort stepped around him once more a light his eyes that cautioned him.

“I doubt that Harry. Dumbledore couldn’t kill me and neither can you. You’re just a little boy, Harry. A little boy who thinks he’s a man.” The slits that formed his nose widened as the half-man took in a breath. “Love can’t save you Harry, not any more.”

Harry remained silent. It was all a game to him. Voldemort just wanted to bring him down, but he wasn’t going to let that happen, he was going to stay strong. “I’m older, Riddle,” Harry almost smiled as Voldemorts’ face turned to anger.

“I renounced that name years ago, filth!” He screamed his voice rising, echoing off the walls of the cave while his younger self cackled after the other two children. “You are nothing but a child!” He continued to shriek what remaining colour in his face drained. “Crucio.”

Harry began to jerk, his arms failing about his eyes rolling into the back of his head, his face white, but he did not scream he wasn’t going to give Voldemort the satisfaction. Harry stopped shaking suddenly. He took in a few deep breaths then got to his feet, “Nice try,” he said almost smiling while he drew his was secretively out of his pocket.

“That is just a taste of what I can do to you, Potter.” Voldemort said. “I would just kill you now, but I’m having fun.”

“As am I.” Harry replied waiting for the tell tale signs of movement. Voldemort's' eyes flashed and his fingers twitched. It was all Harry needed.

“Avada Kedavra!”

“Rippersesp!” Harry shouted in reply. Once again a cage of golden light surrounded them, forming an intricate shield from all around them.

“You won’t escape me this time Potter!”

“I’m not trying to.”

Awesome post! Harry needs to kill Voldy, he needs to! That rubbish, evil, bloody, foul monster!

Chapter 1- The Smoke

As the cage surrounded them both completely a bar of red light appeared along a string between their wands. Harry’s wand began to shake but he kept his hand steady, as did Voldemort. Soon both wizards’ hands were shaking violently each trying to keep steady, forcing the bar of light along to the others wand.

Harry had a plan. He slowly let some of the pressure off his wand and as his hand shook the bar came closer and closer. Harry occasionally fought back more; his wand was bending making him fear that it would break.

“See Potter? You are weak.” Voldemort said as the red bar slid down the golden string and was sucked into his wand.

“We’ll see,” Harry replied an excruciating smirk on his face. “We’ll see Uno- Poo.” Harry’s wand began to whistle loudly causing Voldemort to put his free hand to his ear. Harry waited as smoky figures began to climb out of his wand, and pat him on the back then turning to face Voldemort.

The Golden string of light remained unbroken as one by one the figures walked forwards, straight at Voldemort.

The wizard’s face froze in shock and horror as Sirius Black, Remus Lupin, Albus Dumbledore, James Potter, Lilly Potter, Nymphadora Tonks, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger faced him off.

“What?” stammered Voldemort in disbelief. He had only seen these people two years ago, some two months and yet their smoke re-incarnations stood there in front of him.

“Miss me, Voldy?” Sirius said to the startled wizard, clutching his wand tightly.

Oooohhhh...interesting! PAMSOID Lari, PAMSOID!
That thing cracks me up. Miss me, Voldy? *grabs bellybutton and ROFLs*

Chapter 1, Part 4-The Trap

Not all of them were dead. That Harry knew, but the spell he had used was one Hermione had created. It conjured up a hologram of the people that you loved or the people you inspire to be. Sirius was definitely both. Harry’s godfather; just taken away from him.

“Now you’ve got no where to run, Voldemort,” Harry said still holding the cage intact as his apparitions stood guard against him leaving.
“No where,” Sirius repeated, the only one out of position. He walked around Voldemort, his own smoky wand buried in the wizard’s neck.

Voldemort cringed but he couldn’t do anything about it, Sirius was still dead, that’s what mattered. He had to keep his wand steady until the right moment came, when he knew he could make it out.

“You never thought it would end like this did you Voldy?” Sirius asked, “Trapped by a seventeen year old and a crew of smoke wizards.”

“SHUT UP!” Roared Voldemort, unwittingly loosing all focus on the scene beyond the cage; missing his way of escape. “You’re dead, Black! A blood traitor killed by his own cousin! You have no place in this world!”

“You’re wrong,” Harry said coolly. The hot-tempered, uncontrollable Harry Potter was gone now. Only Harry remained.
