Hermione and Pansy worked quickly. Together, they created a list of things that they were going to need on their rescue mission. In their worry, they forgot to be enemies.

"Pansy, is that everything?" Hermione asked breathlessly.

"Food...water...all for a week. Can we do this in a week?" Pansy checked, worried.

"Hm...better pack for two more days. Do we have coats?"

"Check."

"Extra clothing?" Ginny asked, looking over Pansy's shoulder.

"I've got that. And stuff for Draco. My poor baby..." Pansy almost dropped the checklist, but regained her composure. "We're ready, unless you want to add anything.

"No, that's about it." Hermione closed her backpack, checked her wand, and then put another blanket in the backpack. "Can't be too careful."

"What about us?" Mark and Tomaso appeared in the doorway, knapsacks on their shoulders and grins on their faces. Ginny ran to Tomaso. "Can't we come too?"

"Do...do you really?" Hermione asked, eyes shining.

"Of course. If you truly care enough, then we should care too." Mark put his arms around Pansy. "And don't worry, mi bella, he'll be fine."

After many hours, the snowstorm susbided. Draco began to stir.

"ugghhh....what?" Draco tried to get up, but his legs were numb. He began to panic. How long had he been out? He struggled to crawl. At first, the work went slow. But as his arms began to wake up, he was able to pull himself with more ease.

He lifted himself up on his arms. Looking around, he discovered a small cave. Slowly, he dragged himself into it. He propped himself up against the wall. He reached into his pocket and pulled out a granola bar he had put in it before. Hungrily, he bit into it, then wrapped it up. He had to save it for later.

Tired, and still hungry, he fell asleep. Once again...the wind was picking up, and snow began to fall more quickly.

Hermione, Pansy, Ginny, Mark, and Tomaso bravely headed into the storm. Soon, the snow fell more thickly, and the wind kicked up.

"Hermione! I think we should find some shelter!" Ginny shouted.

"What?" Hermione called. She was pulling ahead of the group.

"I....nk....fi.....helter....!" Ginny's voice became distorted in the wind. Mark tried to catch up to Hermione. Pansy pulled him back.

"We can't get seperated!" She screamed into his ear. The blizzard was in full force. Hermione was buffetted around and was seperated from the group.

"HERMIONE!" Mark shouted, and began to flounder in the snow, desperate to get to her. Pansy hung on. "LET ME GO!"

"I WON'T LET YOU GET LOST!" Pansy clung to him, and soon all three were lost from Ginny and Tomaso's sight. Ginny groped for Tomaso's arm, and held on.

"WE MUSTN'T GET SEPREATED!" Ginny shouted in Tomaso's ear. Tomaso nodded.

"C'MON! LET'S GO FIND SHELTER! I THOUGHT I SAW A CAVE BACK A FEW YARDS!" Ginny nodded to show she understood, and followed Tomaso. She looked back for one moment.

What would become of her friends?

No, their not going to Draco's cave! That I'll tell you right off.

Draco woke up to the sound of the wind howling. For the first time, he began to think about his situation. He was lost in the Alps, alone, no food except a half eaten granola bar, no coat, he was stuck in a very small cave, and-

He looked up. He thought he heard something. A voice. Could it be...another person out there? Quickly, he dragged himself towards the edge of the cave, his frozen legs a heavy burden. It was....Hermione?

Hermione rushed out into the storm, unable to hear the others pleas to stick together. She soon realized, however, that she was seperated from the group. She panicked.

"WHERE ARE YOU GUYS!" She shrieked into the blizzard. All the answer she got was the howl of the wind. But...was that a dark spot in the distance? "Oh thank God..." It was a cave!

Exhausted from fighting the wind, she reached the cave and collapsed onto the hard ground. She tried to pull herself up to reach the deeper part of the cave, and felt herself being pulled. She looked up.

"Draco!" She cried out, and grabbed him. Draco yelled as he expected a bolt of pain to shoot up and down his legs. When he saw them bend, but with no pain, he also panicked. Damn. They must be broken. Hermione gasped and got off of him.

"Nice to see you too Hermione." Draco groaned, barely able to keep the screams in.

"Oh Draco...why did you leave? You had me so worried!" Hermione propped Draco up against the wall and took some canned food out of her bag. Draco looked at it hungrily. "I have enough for about a week. How are you?"

"My legs are frozen, and I think they're broken." Draco said before digging into the canned meat. After eating, Hermione built up a fire. "So what's our gameplan?"

"I can't move you in this condition. We're stuck until the storm subsides." Hermione said sadly. She pulled a blanket out and wrapped it around Draco and herself. Soon, the two were asleep.

Ginny and Tomaso reached the cave after about a half hour of wandering. Ginny sat up against the wall while Tomaso built a fire.

"Tomaso, do you think the others found shelter?"

"I doubt that Bella. I really do. I'm sorry, but all we can do is hope that Mark knows what he's doing. Or even Pansy."

Ginny made a cup of cocoa over the small fire and handed it to Tomaso. He accepted it with a smile.

Pansy and Mark wandered in the storm. Mark wasn't concerned about Hermione anymore. Just about getting Pansy and him to safety.

"MARK, LOOK!" Pansy pointed out. 'A SNOWDRIFT! WE CAN TAKE SHELTER THERE!"

"IT'S THE ONLY PLACE! LET'S GO!" Mark took Pansy's hand and they made their way over. Mark began digging. He motioned Pansy to do the same. Soon, they had a large hole going into the drift. Mark led the way into their makeshift shelter.

"Mark...will we survive in here?" Pansyasked, making the drift hole a little wider.

"Don't make it too wide. It'll collapse. Yea, the snow will blow over the top, creating a type of shelter. With our combined body heat, we should be able to keep warm. Come sit by me and let's eat, va bene?"

Pansy crawled over and cuddled up next to Mark. Mark put his arm around Pansy. Pansy got out a blanket and put down her knapsack. Mark did likewise, and took out some food. They sat there, huddled against their makeshift home, and soon fell asleep, out of sheer exhaustion.

There...I think I covered everybody....I'll leave you at that then!

Hermione and Draco huddled together for warmth. In the cave, there was barely enough room for two people, so often, Draco had his arm around Hermione. Hermione found she had no problem with that. They also had alot to talk about.

"...so what did you do after...after we broke up?" Draco asked. Hermione shifted her weight.

"Like, socially? Nothing. I haven't found anyone since you." Draco flushed.

"I wasn't that special."

"Yes you were Draco." Hermione faced him. "You were very special. And I'm sorry I didn't see that earlier."

And in that damp, enclosed cave, Hermione put her arms around Draco and kissed him. She kissed him lightly, then applied more pressure. Draco was suprised, then kissed her back. After a few moments, they broke apart, panting.

"I hope you liked that, cause I happen to love you very much." Hermione warned Draco. He smiled.

"Oh, but not as much as I love you."

"No."

"Yes."

They spent the rest of the day arguing about who loved the other more, then they fell asleep in each other's arms.

Mark woke up to a soft noise. He looked at Pansy, and saw that she was crying.

"Mi bella, what's the matter?"

"Oh...it's just that I know now that Draco never really loved me...that he really loved Hermione the whole time."

"Why do yoy say that Pansy?" Mark asked. Her rather pretty face was stained with tears. He wiped them away with his thumb.

"Because...I can just tell. How he was always cheating on me with her, even how much Hermione cared for Draco. Come to think of it, I've never had a steady relationship."

Mark took her face in his hands and studied her eyes.

"You have very pretty eyes."

"Oh, no I don't-"

"You also have a beautiful mouth." Mark leaned in and brushed her lips with his. "Molto bello."

Soon, after a few hours, the storm subsided. Ginny and Tomaso took it as a sign to get a move on. They quickly packed up their things and headed into the sunlight.

"Hey...that's a rather large drift." Tomaso pointed one out a few feet away from them.

"Maybe we should check it out." Ginny started towards it. Suddenly, two figures popped out of the snow. "Pansy! Mark!"

Mark was helping Pansy out of the drift. She held his hand as they struggled to get to them. Tomaso started conversing in Italian while Ginny spoke to Pansy.

"Did you find Hermione and Draco yet?" Pansy asked eagerly. Ginny shook her head.

"No, and we don't know how much longer we have until the next storm."

OK, another cliff hanger! (yes I'm very mean )
