Jessica Potter stood staring at the Christmas tree. A smile lit up her face, the lights from the Christmas tree reflecting in her green eyes.
“Beautiful isn’t it?” Her mother, Ginny, said putting a hand on Jessica’s shoulder.
“Yes it is. Where’s Dad and Becca?” Jessica asked turning toward her mother.
“Out, They’ll be back soon,” Ginny replied. Jessica’s father, Harry Potter, and her sister, Rebecca had been gone for two hours. Jessica was sixteen and exactly three years older then Rebecca, who was thirteen. The Potter family was pretty normal, except for the fact that they were magical. Harry and Ginny had met at Hogwarts and fallen in love. After the war against Voldemort, Harry had proposed. Ginny of course, said yes. About a year after the wedding, Jessica came along. Three years later, Rebecca followed, born the day after Jessica’s birthday. Now Jessica was in her sixth year at Hogwarts and Rebecca in her third. Harry and Rebecca came through the door holding bags and boxes.
“You’re back! Let me help with the stuff!” Jessica said running over to help her father and sister.
“No can do Jessie. There might be things for you in this pile of stuff,” Rebecca said getting a tighter grip in the bags and boxes. Jessica smiled and shrugged.
“All right. If you insist,” Jessica said turning to go upstairs to her room. She climbed the spiral staircase leading to the second floor. She turned into her lime green room and let out a small scream. Her boyfriend, Andrew McMichael was sitting on her bed.
“Well Happy Christmas to you too Jessie,” Andrew said laughing.
“What the heck are you doing here?” Jessica asked staring at Andrew.
“Surprising you,” Andrew replied standing up.
“Well you accomplished that! I’m surprised!” Jessica said smiling.
“Good,” Andrew replied grinning and taking Jessica in his arms. He kissed her and Jessica felt her knees go weak. She finally pulled away, but wished she hadn’t.
“Do my parents know you’re here?” Jessica asked staring into Andrew’s amazing blue eyes.
“Yup! Guess what else!” Andrew said, his arms sparkling.
“What?” Jessica asked, wrapping her arms around him.
“I’m staying here for a few days. Your parents invited me,” Andrew said tugging on the end of a strand of Jessica’s fire red hair. Jessica’s eyes lit up.
“What?! You are?!” Jessica squealed.
“Is that okay with you?” Andrew asked.
“It’s perfect,” Jessica replied. She wished her would kiss her again and as if he had read her mind, he did.
“Do you mind?” Rebecca asked from the door scaring Jessica and Andrew apart.
“Mind what?” Jessica snapped.
“Mind not snogging when I could walk past, and I did,” Rebecca replied putting her hands on her hips.
“Not our fault you walked by,” Jessica said, annoyed with her sister. Rebecca rolled her eyes and continued down the hall. Jessica closed her door and turned back to Andrew.
“Now, where were we?” Jessica asked. Andrew pulled her close to him. His slid his arms around her waist and buried his face in her hair.
“We were at the part where I kiss you,” Andrew whispered. And kiss her is exactly what he did.
“Thank you for letting me stay,” Andrew said at the dinner table later that night.
“It’s our pleasure,” Harry said smiling at Jessica and Andrew. Jessica felt Andrew reach for her hand and he slipped his hand into hers. Jessica gently squeezed his hand. No one could see them holding hands under the table. Her nosy parents couldn’t stare at them like they were doing something wrong when they didn’t know. Rebecca picked up her fork and it slipped out of her hand and fell onto the floor. She ducked under the table. Jessica quickly pulled her hand out of Andrew’s and he gave her a confused look.
“Becca,” Jessica whispered. Andrew nodded and turned back to his food. Rebecca surfaced from under the table and stared at Jessica. Her gaze then switched to Andrew. The look on her face told Jessica that she had seen her holding hands with Andrew. For being thirteen, Rebecca was so immature. There was nothing wrong with holding hands with your boyfriend, but Jessica knew that Rebecca would say something and embarrass both her and Andrew. Rebecca opened her mouth to say something and Jessica glared at her. Rebecca quickly closed her mouth. Jessica popped mashed potatoes in her mouth, pleased.
“Everyone is so quiet,” Ginny pointed out.
“Yes. Why is that?” Harry asked. Jessica shrugged. Rebecca put down her fork and put her elbows on the table. She placed her hands together and laced her fingers. Jessica raised an eyebrow.
“Who knows,” Rebecca said and finally untwisted her hands and brushed her long black hair off her shoulders.
“So, Mr. Potter. Has the Ministry found Draco Malfoy yet?” Andrew asked changing the subject. Draco Malfoy was a Death Eater and had been on the run since his escape from Azkaban two years earlier. Jessica’s father and other Auror’s were after him.
“We have an idea where he is. A few guys are going to check it out tomorrow,” Harry replied.
“Good,” Andrew said taking a sip of pumpkin juice. Jessica finished her food and climbed the stairs to her room. She changed into her pajamas and someone knocked on her door.
“Come in!” Jessica called and Ginny opened the door.
“Hey Jessie. You didn’t eat much at dinner. You okay?” Ginny asked.
“I’m fine. I just wasn’t very hungry,” Jessica said sitting down on her bed.
“Okay then,” Ginny said and left the room. Jessica flopped backwards onto her pillows. Thought of Andrew filled her head. Then her thoughts switched to Jessica’s best friend, Jillian. They had been friends ever since Jessica had accidentally flung a button at Jillian’s head in Transfiguration in their first year. Not long after, they became friends with Jamie. Together they were, “The J Trio.” They were practically one person. The finished each other’s sentences and read each other’s thoughts. There was a soft knock on the door.
“Jessie?” came Andrew’s calm voice. Jessica sat up to see Andrew standing in the doorway.
“Hey baby,” Jessica replied. Andrew smiled and walked over to Jessica’s bed and sat beside her.
“You okay? You disappeared when you were done eating,” Andrew said pulling Jessica close to him.
“Yeah. I felt like changing so I came up,” Jessica replied leaning into him.
“I noticed you changed. I like your pajamas. They’re cute,” Andrew said running his hand up and down Jessica’s back.
“Now you’re teasing me,” Jessica said tugging away a little and Andrew’s grip tightened.
“Only maybe,” Andrew insisted smiling. Jessica giggled and slid her arms around his neck.
“It’s not nice to tease innocent girls Andrew McMichael,” Jessica teased.
“I beg for mercy!” Andrew said grinning ear-to-ear.
“You’re forgiven,” Jessica said sweetly. Andrew’s smile widened and he kissed her deeply.

“Just hear those sleigh bells jingling, ring ting tingling too. C’mon it’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. Outside the snow is falling and friends are calling ‘you-hoo’! It’s lovely weather for a sleigh ride together with you. Giddee up giddee up let’s go, let’s look at the show. We’re riding in a wonderland of snow.”
Jessica held a pillow over her ears. Rebecca’s blaring music had to stop.
“Rebecca Potter, turn it off! You’re killing my ears!” Jessica screamed over the music to her sister next door. The music paused for a second, but was closely followed by an Ashlee Simpson version of a Christmas song.
“I’ll be a girl of Christmas past. I’ll be a girl of Christmas present. I’ll be a girl of Christmas future.”
Jessica groaned and fell face first onto her bed, wishing the throbbing in her head would go away.
“I will be right here. I’ll be your Christmas past, present, and future. Baby, your yesterday, everyday, and tomorrow too. I’ll be your Christmas past, present, and future. Baby, I will be right here. I’m gonna be there for you.”
Jessica couldn’t take it anymore. She marched into Rebecca’s room and turned the music off.
“Hey!” Rebecca cried sitting up from her position on the bed.
“I couldn’t take it anymore!” Jessica replied and she turned on her heel and left. She mad her way downstairs to where her mum was putting dishes away with a flick of her wand.
“It’s quiet again,” Mrs. Potter said in relief.
“Yup! No need to thank me,” Jessica said grinning. Ginny laughed. Jessica started to walk down the hall to the guest room, for the time being, Andrew’s room.
“Andrew’s outside Jessie!” Ginny called. Jessica turned around and walked out the door. She found Andrew sitting by the pond in the backyard.
“Hey! What are you doing out here?” Jessica asked.
“It’s quiet out here,” Andrew replied. Jessica giggled.
“It’s quiet inside now too,” Jessica said. She shivered. It was freezing and she didn’t put on a coat. Andrew noticed the shiver.
“You cold?” he asked putting his arm around her shoulder and pulling her close.
“Freezing,” Jessica replied. Andrew took out his wand and within seconds Jessica’s coat appeared in front of them.
“Thanks,” Jessica said slipping into her coat. Andrew looked at sparkling snow on the ground.
“Wanna have a snowball fight?” Andrew asked.
“If you’re in the mood to lose,” Jessica replied with a grin. Andrew stood up and gave Jessica a sly grin.
“You’re on,” Andrew challenged. Jessica ran and smashed a handful of snow into a ball. She threw it at him with all her might and it hit him square in the chest.
“Hey! I wasn’t ready!” Andrew said crossing his arms and sticking out his lower lip like a little kid.
“Oh stop pouting,” Jessica said laughing and she formed another snowball. Andrew was ready this time and threw a snowball at Jessica. It hit her on the shoulder. She glared at him and he flashed a grin and turned to get more snow. Jessica saw her chance and threw a snowball. It hit him on the rump and he jumped in alarm. Jessica smiled and satisfaction danced in Andrew’s eyes.
“Ooh! Jessie wants to fight dirty!” Andrew teased and threw his snowball. Jessica jumped out of the way and the snowball missed. He threw another one and hit Jessica in the stomach. She laughed and fell to the ground. Taking advantage of her fall, Andrew hit Jessica with two more snowballs. Still laughing, Jessica got to her feet again and hit Andrew with a snowball. She threw another one, but missed.
“Give up yet?” Andrew asked packing another snowball.
“Never!” Jessica answered nailing Andrew in the face with a snowball. He wiped the snow from his face.
“That’s it!” Andrew said wanting revenge. He threw snowballs at her as hard as he could. Jessica dodged them, jumping backwards with each dodge. She jumped back once more and Andrew’s eyes widened. Jessica’s body met the cold water of the pond. She had fallen in.
“Jessica!” Andrew screamed.

PAMS! I put my mouse on your ff poster thingy and I saw my name so I read. Very vane I know, but still. This is sooo cute. PAMSOID!

welcome new readers, and obviously, I'M BACK!!!! Here's a post!!

Andrew threw off his coat and dove in after her. It was a good thing the pond was deep, because if it wasn’t, Andrew would have hit his head on the bottom. Jessica was near the bottom of the pond, obviously unconscious. Andrew swam to her and wrapped his arms around her waist. He kicked off the muddy bottom of the pond. He kicked upwards and soon he broke the surface of the water. He gasped for breath, his teeth chattering. He swam to land and climbed out, pulling Jessica with him. He laid her gently on the ground and pulled out his wand. He tapped Jessica and she instantly dried. Andrew tapped himself and warmth rushed over his body. Wondering if Jessica was still cold, he picked up his coat and wrapped it around her. Slowly, she regained consciousness.
“What happened?” Jessica asked sitting up.
“You fell in,” Andrew replied taking Jessica in his arms. She shivered from the cold air.
“Oh. How’d I get out?” Jessica asked.
“I went in after you,” Andrew replied. Jessica smiled and kissed him lightly on the cheek.
“Thank you. I always knew you were my hero,” Jessica said and she shivered again. Andrew brushed her hair back and ran his warm hand across her cold cheek.
“Jessie, you’re freezing. Let’s go inside,” Andrew said picking Jessica up and she giggled. He carried her inside and Ginny met them at the door.
“What happened? I saw you two climb out of the pond!” Ginny said with huge eyes. Andrew put Jessica down softly.
“Well, we were having a snowball fight, and Jessie fell in. So, I went in after her,” Andrew explained. Ginny’s jaw dropped in shock.
“Oh my God! Jessica are you okay?” Ginny asked, pulling her daughter into a hug.
“I’m fine Mum,” Jessica replied flatly.
“Andrew, are you all right?” Ginny asked releasing her daughter and turning to Andrew. He nodded.
“Yeah. We’re fine and dry again,” Andrew replied. Jessica took both coats off and returned Andrew’s to him. They hung their coats in the closet and Ginny returned to her work. Together, Jessica and Andrew climbed the stairs to the “muggle room” as the Potters called it. The room earned the name because it held muggle things such as a television, computer, and telephone. Andrew sat down on the couch and Jessica sat on his lap.
“So what do you want to do?” Jessica asked. Andrew eyed the X-Box connected to the TV.
“Bet you can’t beat me,” Andrew challenged, grinning.
“You wanna bet?” Jessica replied turning on the TV and X-Box. She handed him a control. She popped in the game and sat on the floor, ready to win. Andrew slid off the couch and sat beside him.
“Ready to lose?” Andrew asked.
“You mean win? Of course,” Jessica replied with a grin. He raised and eyebrow, then switched his gaze from Jessica to the game as it started. Jessica’s points raced up as Andrew fought just to get a few. The game ended and the final score appeared on the screen. Jessica had won by thirty points. Andrew sighed and put his control down. He gazed at Jessica, who had a smile plastered across her face.
“You’re dealing with the master,” Jessica said pretending to shine her nails on her shirt. Andrew shrugged as if he didn’t care, but Jessica knew he did.
“Well, even the master had to pay sometimes,” Andrew replied. Jessica could tell her had a plan, but she didn’t know what. She looked at him confused.
“What do you mean?” Jessica asked and Andrew smiled.
“Well, sometimes, the master has to deal with her boyfriend as he punishes her for his pleasure to make up for losing,” Andrew replied, a sly grin on his face. Jessica figured out his plan and she pretended to be in horror.
“No!” Jessica squealed as she stood and ran. Andrew laughed, chasing her.
“Oh yes my dear! Yes!” Andrew replied and did his fake evil laugh. Jessica giggled and ran down the stairs. He closely followed. She jumped over the couch and Andrew eyed her. He didn’t follow, and jump over the couch, but he stayed exactly opposite her. She turned and ran down the hall. He ran after her, not far behind. Jessica came to a dead end and turned to face Andrew, her back against the wall. He tried to grab her, but she dodged, sliding into Andrew’s room since it was the only escape. He followed her in, pleased. He shut the door.
“Now you can’t go anywhere,” he said evilly. Jessica giggled and stood on the bed. He started to climb up, but she jumped off. He went the other way around the bed, trapping Jessica in a corner. He took her in his arms and Jessica pretended to struggle. Willingly, she let him kiss her deeply.
“Jessica! I need you for a minute!” came Ginny’s call from the kitchen. Sadly, Andrew let her go.
“We’ll finish this later. I’m not done with you missy,” Andrew teased. Jessica smiled, kissed Andrew quickly, and then left to see what her mother wanted.

Jessica entered the kitchen where she found her mother with, to Jessica’s surprise, Jillian and Jamie! She gasped.
“Jillian! Jamie! What are you doing here?” Jessica asked hugging her best friends tightly.
“We missed you,” Jillian replied. Jessica smiled as Andrew walked into the kitchen and a look of shock appeared on his face.
“Having a ‘J Trio’ reunion?” Andrew asked. The girls laughed.
“Nope. Just visiting,” Jamie said staring at Andrew then Jessica.
“Do you want to come shopping?” Jillian asked and Jessica nodded excitedly and looked at Andrew.
“Wanna come?” Jessica asked her boyfriend. He shook his head.
“Nah. I’ll go out and visit some of my friends,” Andrew replied.
“’Kay. Have fun,” Jessica said grabbing her purse and coat. Andrew kissed the top of her head and shoved the girls out the door and waved.
“You guys have fun too!” he called as the girls got into Jillian’s car.
“Why don’t we just Apparate?” Jamie asked.
“Because we’re going to Muggle stores,” Jillian replied.
“And Muggle ways are fun,” Jessica added. Jamie smiled and nodded. Jillian pulled into the parking lot of their favorite department store and they jumped out of the car. Together they walked into the store and went to the clothes section. Jillian pulled a pair of jeans off the rack and held them up.
“Cute,” Jessica said.
“Adorable,” Jamie agreed.
“I’ll go try them on,” Jillian said and disappeared into a dressing room. Jessica glanced up and saw two boys lurking around the jewelry department. Jessica thought one of them looked oddly like Andrew. She only saw this guy from the back, but she knew her boyfriend front and back. She looked down at the skirts she had been searching through, then glanced back up to the spot where she had seen the guys. They were gone. Jessica shrugged. Maybe she was imagining things. Maybe it was all in her head. She shrugged again and pulled a denim mini skirt off the rack. She heard Jillian giggle in the dressing room.
“Hey guys, can you get me the next size smaller?” Jillian asked. Jessica saw Jamie hand Jillian another pain of jeans. Jessica slipped into the dressing room next to Jillian. She pulled the skirt on and stared at herself in the mirror. The mini skirt fit perfectly and it looked awesome on her. She slipped out of the skirt and stepped out into the store to look for the perfect top to go with it. Jillian emerged from the dressing room and spun around.
“What do you think?” Jillian asked.
“You look great Jillian! Those jeans are awesome on you,” Jamie said and Jillian smiled.
“I agree. You look like a model Jillian! Girl, did you lose weight?” Jessica asked. Jillian ran her hand through her blonde hair.
“I guess maybe a little. Do you think I should get the jeans?” Jillian replied.
“Totally,” Jamie and Jessica agreed together. Jessica searched through the rack of tee shirts. She pulled off a green one with a shamrock that read, “Lucky” across it. Jessica smiled, loving the shirt, and slipped into the dressing room again. She pulled the shirt over her head and slipped the mini skirt back on. She gazed at herself in the mirror. She thought she looked good, maybe even hot. Her red hair looked amazing against the green shirt and the color made her eyes stand out. The shirt was skin tight so it showed her figure nicely and how thin she was. She opened the dressing room door and slipped out.
“What do you think guys?” Jessica asked.
“Wow Jessie! And you thought I looked like a model,” Jillian said, who was in her regular clothes again. Jessica felt her cheeks color.
“Jessie, if Andrew saw you in that he would drop dead,” Jamie said.
“Then I’ll make sure he sees me in it,” Jessica replied with a grin and she slid back into the dressing room to change back into her clothes. She returned to Jillian and Jamie, satisfaction in her eyes.
“Find anything Jamie?” Jessica asked and Jamie shook her head. Jessica wandered over to the jewelry section to where she had seen the boys. She looked down into the glass case to see silver and gold bracelets covered with any pricey gem you could imagine. Her eyes were drawn to the silver bracelet with small diamonds embedded around it. It was extremely beautiful. She gazed up at the sign that read, “Promise Bracelets.” Jessica ran a finger over the glass. She sighed and wandered back over to Jillian and Jamie.
“You’re back,” Jillian observed.
“Duh,” Jessica replied. Jamie said nothing while searching through piles of hooded sweatshirts.
“I’m going to go see if I can find anything for Austin,” Jillian said and left. Austin and Jillia
