I was actually wondering... *ahem... gets the ball rolling*. I am curious as to whether people prefer to read about the main canon characters (H/Hr/R), other canon characters, or non-canons. And which do you prefer to write?

I like reading about canon characters; main and other. I'm not a big fan of original characters, although I have read a few good ones.

Additional Question: Do you like reading about canon events (reference to the events in the books) or alternate universe events?

I like reading about canon characters, I'm not crazy about mixing alternate universe stuff in, this is already FICTION and it gets really crazy when you mix fantasy/sci-fi into wizarding world stuff.

Now I have a question.....for writing fanfics, where do I find a list of the spells and what they do/mean?? I'm doing one of the drabbles - and one of them is all spells, many of which I haven't heard before. Help!! LOL
