This is my first fan-fic. Tell me what you think!


"Are you sure this is for me?" Sofie Cromwell asked her mother. "I mean, has anyone ever heard of a school called Hogwarts? Really! Marnie gets to go to Whitch University----"
"Well, at least here, you can use magic in school! Marnie is complaining that you aren't allowed to do magic in school!" Gwen Cromwell said, cutting across her daughters sentence. CRACK!!!!!!!!!!
"MOM! What was that?!?!?!?!"
"I don't know, Sofie, I really don't know." Then there was a know at the door and Sofie answered.
"Are you Sofie Cromwell?" the old man asked in a scratchy voice.
"Y-Y-Yes....Who are you?" Sofie answered, stammerimg.
"I am Albus Dumbledore. I am Headmaster of Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry coming to make sure you got your letter to go to Hogwarts." he answered.
"MOM! Come here!"
"What is----And you are?"
"Albus Dumbledore"
"Who? I've never heard of anyone by the name of Albus Dumble---WAIT! You own Hogwarts, don't you? What is this place?"
"A school. Sofie has been accepted into this school."
"Sofie?!?! I didn't---how--what---"
"She was down since birth."
"But, why didn't Marnie go? Why wasn't she accepted?"
"Aggie, my good friend, insited on training Marnie. She was the Cromwell of the profecy. She needed special training."
"Mom, please? Can I go? PLEASE? This would be the first exciting thing that ever happened to me---I didn't even get to ride a broomstick---PLEASE????????????????"
"Oh, alright. Where does she get her things?"
"She will come with me to Diagon Alley. She will get wizards money and also, her robes, books, and wand--yes Sofie, wand." He said noticing the delighted look on her face when he said wand."May I stay for the night? I really don't have anywhere to go................"
"Yes, you may." Gwen answered. "Wait till I get my hands on my mother..." she mumbled to herself through gritted teeth as Dumbledore passed her


"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!" yelled Dylan. "MOM! THERE IS SOMEONE IN THE HOUSE!"
"DYLAN!!!!!!!!!! I know. I will explain every thing to you in your room." she answered.
That night, Sofie didn't sleep very well. She was so exited about tommorow. "Wel, who wouln't be?" she thought.


There was a certain someone who wasn't at all pleased. That man was Vernon Dursley. It just so happened that tonight was the birthday of Harry Potter, who was just getting to sleep under Hagrids coat that very moment.

"What'll I need to get, sir?" asked Sofie Cromwell for about the 12th time.
"First you need to eat," her mother said.
"Mom. I just want to know what I'm going to get," she said to her mom, scowling.
"Take a closer look at your letter. Did you throw out the envelope?" asked Dumbledore.
"No"
"There is a list of the things that you will get."
Then, Sofie ate so fast, you might of thought she turned into a vacume cleaner that sucked up food.She flew into the other room, ofund the envelope, and took out another piece of parchment. It read:
ALL first year students must have the following books:
Standard Charms Year One by Melinda Clark
Guide to Transfiguration: The Basics by Jane Parker
History of Magic Year One by Melinda Clark
Basic Potions Year One by Ron Gornad
Understanding the Dark Arts Level One by Fred Wazlib

You must have:
One black pointed hat
3 pairs of work robes

You may bring a cat, toad or owl.
PLEASE NOTE: FIRST YEARS ARE NOT TO BRING A BROOM OF THIER OWN.


Sofie looked this over and over. Was there something missing? She could tell that they forgot something. But what? A wand! she thought. Of course. You need a wand to do this magic.
"Ha! I get a wand! Here is finally something that I get before Marnie. Dylan is going to baby sit Marnie, and I get to go off ALONE to Hogwarts!" is what she thought, smiling.
She left to go to Diagon Alley with Dumbledore that afternoon. It was awesome. She actually got to have her own vault in Gringotts, the Wizard bank that's run by goblins. Dumbledore had inserted some amount of Galleons and Grandma Aggie had put in most of her tresures: knuts, galleons, sickles, jewls, and many more things. They went to look at brooms [at least, Sofie did, Dumbledore held back] then they got her books, robes and she went in alone for her wand (Dumbledore went off to get a "drink"). She ended up with a wand that was: fluxweed, unicorn tail, 10 in. As she walked out, she saw Dumbledore walking out of the shop carrying something behind his back. He smiled and held it in front of him`

He smiled and held it in front of him: it was an owl! A snowy owl (Girl) with amber eyes, looking straight at her. She named her Maya (That's an Egyptian name and I'm learning about Egypt in school and I am interested in it a lot) and thanked Dumbledore one million times. Then it was time to go home.
The next day, she went to the train and got her ticket from Dumbldore. As she read it, she heard him say that he need to go and that same crack as when Dumbledore arrived. Platform 9 3/4? Huh? "Hello sir, can you tell me where platform 9 3/4 is?" said a black haired, green eyed boy with round broken glasses. Sofie immediatly perked up. She over heard the whole conversation and then as the boy followed a group of red headed people.... that had an owl. She also followed, and was close enough to hear the woman say,"Of course, it's packed with Muggles."
She had heard Dumbledore use that turm: it was a person with not a drop of magical blood in thier viens. She steped up and watched, next to that same boy, who had a lighning-shaped scar. "Percy, Go first. Next Fred and George. Ron, you go after them. I'll be there after Ron boys. No, Ginny, you can't go. your not old enough. You can Go to hogwarts next year." said the same woman.
After Percy, Fred and George had gone through to 9 3/4, she still didn't know how to do it. "Hullo. Can you tell me how to get onto the platform?" she asked.
"I need to get there, too," the boy said
"OK then. You just need to run right into the barrier. Don't be to scared about crashing because you'll just go through it," the woman told them. "It's Ron's First year at Hogwarts, too." she added, pointing to a tall, skinny, red-haired boy. He smiled shyly. Sofie went first. She faced the barrier and started to walk toward it. She was scared, and suddenly broke into a run. She got ready for the crash...but it never came. She opened her eyes to a red steam train as the other 2 boys came through. She got on the train and went into the first empty compartment she could find. The black-haired boy came in and asked if he could sit here. His name was Harry Potter. This kid could be my my friend is what she thought, so she said yes. About 2 minutes later the read haired boy named Ron came and asked to sit there. She said yesand the 3 began talking. Sofie learned to like these 2 boys... at least as friends. They only knew each other for about 3 hours, but thay were sweet. They didn't mind that she was a girl. Eventually, she had to wait outside so they could change. They did the same for her. Harry Potter and Ron Weasley turned out to be her best friends after 4 hours. Then another girl (Hermione Granger) came in. She sat there with them and they all became best friends. Hermione was still bossy, but very nice. When they arrived at Hogwarts, they went for the traditional ride across the lake. Then they went through the large, oak doors to see Hogwarts for the first time in thier lives.

I'm bored, very bored, so here ya go (PS: Can someone other than Da Forever post? I'm starting to think that people odn't like. Or did I pick a very unpopular actagory? )



"Hello, and welcome to Hogwarts." said a very unexpected voice behind them. They spun around to see a woman dressed in green robes and a tight black bun. She had a sharp tone already, so Sofie assumed this was not the greatest person to make angry.
"I am Porffesser McGonagall, Deputy Headmistress at Hogwarts. The sorting ceremony will begin in 5 minutes. I would say that you should make try and tidy up yourselves as much as possible." As she said this, her eyes slid from some dirt on Ron's nose to Harry's untidy hair. Then, something strange happened. A man with shoulder lenth black hair came out and looked Sofie in the eye (just to tell you, really Sofie dosen't have a scar. In this fic, she is going to have some type of connection with Harry). Then, her scar, which she had earlier noticed looked like Harry's, started burning. She made a small muffled yelp and the same thing happened to Harry.



When McGonnagall came back, she took all of them into the great hall ("It really isn't the sky, on the ceiling. It's bewitched to look like it. I read all abaout it in Hogwarts: A History," said Hermione). Harry and Ron both looked as nervous as she felt. She hoped that she had a strait face.
"I hope I'm not in Slytherin. Ya know, there wasn't one decent wizard that was in Slytherin," said Ron. "And Fred said something about wrestleing a troll in the sorting."
"Really, Ron, how many true thing has Fred said to you?" Hermione asked.
"Shut up," said Sofie and Harry, strangley at the same time.

"Oh, you may not think I'm pretty, don't judge on what you see, i'll eat myself if you can find a smarter hat than me. There's nothing hidden in your haed the sorting hat can't see. So try me on and then i'll tell you, where you ought to be" said a shabby hat known as the sorting hat The school erupted in aplause.
"Granger, Hermione," said McGonagall. They hadn't realized thathalf the ceremony was done. After about five minutes, GRYFFINDOR!!!!
"Potter, Harry." The school was craning their necks tO see him. Then....GRYFINNDOR!!!! The Gryffindor table erupted.
"Weasley, Ronald."....................GRYFFINDOR!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!
"Cromwell"----at this, to Sofie's suprise, everyone craned their heads to see her---"Sofie."
After she put the hat on a small voice came into her head: "Ah, a great mind, great mind indeed, you would do very well in all the houses. Well, not very well in Hufflepuff. But where to put you? You would do well in Slytherin, yes, you would. Whats this? Not Slythin, eh? ARe you sure? You would do great thing, very great indeed. Sure? Okay then. Better be............."



What do you guys want it to be? Tell me what, I haven't yet decided. Well, that's all for now.
