Chapter 1
The letter

Usagi stared blankly at the newspaper. “Explosion in Juuban District, 30 missing, 7 dead.” , blazed the headline. She looked down at the “Missing” list. “Ami Mizuno, Rei Hino, Makoto Kino, Minako Aino and - ” She stopped. Then she burst into tears and throw the newspaper away. “Minna…Mamo-chan..” It wasn’t simply an explosion. She knew that. Her friends went into the battlefield without her, because she was sick in bed.
Suddenly, she heard a noise. It sounded like a bird is tapping on her window. She turned around to see an owl – a magnificent tawny – staring at her. At the sight of Usagi, he raised his leg. There was a roll of parchment tied to it. Usagi quickly opened the window for him. The tawny flied into the room, waited patiently for Usagi to untie his burden, then departed.
Usagi opened the letter.
“Dear Ms. Tsukino,
You are enrolled at our school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry.
Since you’re sixteen, while our first-years start at eleven, you will be placed amongst the sixth-years. However, if you can’t keep up with your schoolwork, you’ll be sent back to your right level.
Your accessories are as following:
- A plain black work robe
- A plain black pointed hat
- A winter cloak with silver fastenings
- A wand
- A toad OR an owl OR a cat
- A copper cauldron (size 2)
The list for your textbooks and Potions ingredients can be found inside this envelope.
Our school year will start on the 1st of September. As you’re living in Japan, one of our staff will come to your residence and assist you in your school shopping in Diagon Alley, London. And, during your Sailor Senshi missions, you have the permission from our headmaster to be absent in class.
On behalf of the Hogwarts staff, we wish you a good term and may you enjoy staying at Hogwarts.

Usagi gaped. How did those people know her secret? Apparently, this isn’t a practical joke. She stormed down the stairs three steps at a time and shouted, “Mom! Dad! I’m enrolled in Hogwarts, school of Witchcraft and Wiz - “
She halted on her track. There, lying face-down in the kitchen is her family: her mom, her dad and her brother, Shingo.
The murderer cackled, “They tried to stop me getting to you. Fortunately, no mere muggle can stop the Dark Lord. And you won’t stop us fulfilling the prophecy and awakening the Princess of Darkness. Avada Kedavra!”
Right at that precise split-second, while the curse was heading at Usagi, her crescent sign glowed fiercely and she fired off a powerful energy sphere. The curse touched it, then backfired. Unfortunately, Voldemort managed to disapparate before the curse reached its caster.
Usagi collapsed, tears flooding down her gorgeous face.
She whispered, “Whoever you are, wherever you are, I’ll make sure you pay for what you did today.”

Sorry if I keep you waiting for a long time, but, I have to confess that I ran out of idea for this fanfic.

In the meantime, I'll be writing another story, about 3 students in Hogwarts (Usagi Ginno, Ondori Kinno and Hotaru Sutano). They are the main characters in my story (no, not a fanfic) that I'm currently writing - Legend of Light.

Whenever I had any ideas, I'll return to this fanfic as soon as possible. Maybe, an Usagi/Harry pairing, perhaps. Who knows? But I'll make sure that Harry ended up with dear, sweet Ginevra Weasley. I'm an avid fan of Harry and Ginny!

Chapter 2
The dream
Harry stared at the ceiling. Ever since the summer holiday began, he had been tortured by the recurring dreams of the last minute of Sirius, his recently deceased godfather. But last night’s dream was totally different.

~~~~~*Flashback*~~~~~
Harry walked through what clearly is a battlefield. Blood is everywhere. Even the ground is dig into many holes, maybe some explosions happened here. He shivered. And he began to wonder who caused all of these damages. The answer appeared inside his brain, without him thinking hard: Death Eaters.
Suddenly, he heard someone sobbing - a survivor. Harry approached the source of the sound. It was a girl. Oddly, she is wearing a long, white dress. And on her forehead, there was...
A crescent sign. It’s not a scar, it’s glowing brightly. Brighter than everything he had seen in his life. He sat down next to the girl and asked quietly: “What happened?” The girl gulped, turned around and looked at Harry. She was beautiful, with golden hair and deep blue eyes. She sobbed: “My...my friends...” Then she can speak no more words. She burst into tears, and then bent down towards the corpse of a man wearing armour. “Mamo-chan...Answer me; please...Wake up...Your Usako is here...Mamo-chan...”
Harry had no idea how to comfort the girl. The last time he saw a girl crying is in his disastrous date with Cho. But this time is different. She isn’t over-sensitive; she is suffering from a tragedy. He can only pat gently on her back, hoping that is enough. After quite a while, she looked up and turned to her companion. Her sapphire eyes were full of tears, but she was no longer crying. She said in an alarmingly quiet voice: “I’m Princess Serenity, the princess of the moon. What’s your name?” “Harry Potter. I’m a wizard.” She suddenly smiled. “You’re the Chosen One. I recognized you at once, but I’m not sure. You’re the only one who can defeat Voldemort.” Harry was rather surprised, because she spoke out loud Voldemort’s name. He asked: “You’re not a witch, are you?” “No, I’m not.” Serenity closed her eyes, tears still stream on her face. “And nor are my friends – my guardians. They are the princesses of the planets in this Solar System. They are very close to me. I have no idea how I could live without them in my life. But I feel as though they are still close to me.” She put a hand onto the man’s cold, lifeless chest, who she called earlier. “He is my fiancé.” Her voice broke. Serenity then looked up at Harry: “Please, please, bring Voldemort his end. For the sake of my friends, and the entire wizarding community. Please...”~~~~~* End flashback *~~~~~

“Oh, Harry, in the name of Merlin, there is no princesses in the wizarding world, nor is princes!” Hermione argued after Harry had finished telling his friends about the dream. “Remember, Voldemort have used the connection between you and him to put false things into your head! If this time, it is one of his tricks and you actually believed it – ““Hermione, does Harry look like he wanted to remember the things that happened at the Ministry?” Ron cut into Hermione’s lecture, and Harry’s heart sank. They have arrived at the subject. The room suddenly fell into a sort of embarrassing silence, until Ginny poked her head into the room: “Quick, mom’s calling us to go to Diagon Alley, or she’s going to throw our chance to visit Fred and George’s shop into the trash can.”

Chapter 3
Diagon Alley – Encounter
Around an hour later, the trio, Hagrid, Ginny, Mr. and Mrs. Weasley are all heading to Flourish and Blotts. Harry was searching for the set of sixth-years textbook when... “OUCH!” The first thing he knew was he was on the floor, his glasses nowhere to be seen and everything is just a blurry mess. Then, he heard a panicked voice saying: “Oh, I’m so sorry, I can’t see the way since those books are way too high for me. Here are your glasses, I’m sorry.” Once he had his glasses safely on, he recognized the girl at once. It’s Serenity. But...she said she wasn’t a witch, how come she’s in here? And wearing Hogwarts uniform? He asked her: “What’s your name? I’m Harry Potter, sixth year.” The girl blushed: “Oh, I’m in sixth year, too. My name is Usagi Tsukino, and I’m a transfer student from Japan.” Harry questioned Usagi wonderingly: “Do you happen to know someone by the name of Serenity? The first time I saw you, I thought you were her.” She answered with a look of pure panic on her face: “Sorry, I don’t. Oh, I must go, I’m running out of time. Goodbye!” And with that as a final sentence, she hurried off into the crowded street of Diagon Alley.

~~~~~*Usagi’s PoV*~~~~~
“Oh no, oh no, why did he have to know my identity?” I muttered to myself while walking fast in Diagon Alley. Being a girl with an alter-ego simply isn’t easy. I’ve to try hard during my years as a Sailor Senshi, and now... What if he simply tells everyone the truth about me? Now I’m really panicked. Great, as if I don’t have enough things on my mind.

I stopped my half-running, and began to think about my life earlier. “Minna...” I whispered, as tears began to leak out of my eyes again. Then I thought I heard Rei’s raised voice by my ears: “Usagi-chaaan, how many times have I told you not to cry? You’re our princess! I’ve told you, even what happened to us, you must be strong and continue to fight for our sake! You got that?” “Yes, I have.” I whispered back, even though I do know that she isn’t there. Maybe it was just an illusion.

As I was walking by Magical Menagerie, I was stunned by a black cat – which looks incredibly familiar. It has a little patch of material on its forehead. “The owner must’ve stuck it on to hide...” I stopped in half-sentence. Then I suddenly know that I’m not alone in the middle of London, after all. “The crescent sign! It’s Luna!” I exclaimed, and ran into the store at once. After five minutes, I was now sitting in front of the store’s window, carefully removing the patch of material on my black cat’s forehead. And I immediately realized that I was right. Luna opened her mouth to speak, which was blocked by my finger. “Shh. Not here, Luna!” I hissed. ”Even though they’re magical, they never had an encounter with a black, talking cat! Do you want our secret to be blown up?” She closed her mouth, looking rather furious.
“And there’s a wizard student who called me Serenity! Yes, Serenity!” I added with the most furious and warning look on my face. Luna silently mouthed: “How did he know? How? And why are you talking to wizards?” I sighed. “Read this.” After Luna have done reading, her lower jaw dropped to the ground. “Why do they – ““I’ve absolutely no idea. Guess they think my Sailor Senshi power’s witchcraft.”

I closed my eyes, and began to think about my friends. The words ‘Senshi’ stirred up memories and feelings deep inside my heart. I questioned Luna: “Have you got any idea where the other Senshi are?” “No, I haven’t.” Luna admitted sadly. “But how come you ended up here in London?” “No idea either. We were fighting, then there was a flash of light, and I found myself inside that shop.”

“Luna... There is one more thing you have to know. My parents, and Shingo, have passed away.” “WHAT????!!!???” “Yes, it’s true, and painfully true indeed. They were killed by someone in a cloak, and I guess he’s a wizard, since he used a wand. Speaking of wands, I think I’m gonna need mine. Come on.” And without another word, I dragged Luna off to the wand shop.

The owner of the wand shop greeted me: “Ah, hello there, Miss. In need of a wand? Ollivander’s the right place.” He took out a measuring tape and asked: “Which hand is your wand hand?” “Um, the right one.” The shopkeeper began to measure at once. When he have finished, he pulled out a wand from a shelf nearby. “Here, try this one. Phoenix feather, willow wood, 11 inches. Just give it a wave.” I followed his instruction, and the content of an entire shelf flew off. “No, no, not this one. Try this...” And by the time I’ve tried, like, the whole supply of Mr. Ollivander’s wands, he pulled out one with a frown on his face: “No one, absolutely no one has managed to control this. I didn’t make it either, I just found this in my shop a month ago. Now, give it a wave, please.” The wand was odd, anyway. It wasn’t made of wood, but pure crystal. And there was a thread of silver hair inside of it, and a sign was engraved in the middle of the wand. A crescent sign. I gave it a flick, and a sparkle of bright, silver light flew out of the wand-tip, like fireworks. “Miss, there you go, that’s your wand. And no charge, I only sell the wands I make. Good day to you!” He called as I thanked him and walked out of the door.

Same here! I read the manga at six. Well, I debated on Luna not in this ff for a while, but I decided to put her in. She will be a little over-cautious around wizards and/or witches. And that will be useful later. Whoops...Giving too much away!

Chapter 4
The Ceremony

It was a quiet and peaceful night, despite the cold and gloomy atmosphere caused by Dementors and the return of Voldemort. But in a wizard family’s residence, there was a boy who just can’t sleep. He has jet-black hair, round glasses, green eyes and a lightning-bolt shaped scar on his forehead. And his name is Harry Potter.

Ron Weasley, one of his best friends, was snoring loudly in the bed next to Harry’s, as though he wanted to wake up the entire neighborhood. Suddenly, Harry’s scar began to hurt like it never did before. And once again, the young wizard gained entrance to Voldemort’s mind.

The scene was dark and quiet. It was in total darkness, until someone ignited candles with a flick of their wand. A six-pointed star was drawn on the floor. In the center of it, a round of candles was hovering.
Suddenly, the quietness of the place was disturbed. A girl was struggling fiercely to get out of the grasp of two men, but fell immobile and silent as two wands was aimed at her neck. He could not see the young witch’s face, because it was also hidden in the dark.
Then, a much brighter light was lit up. The full room was shown. It appeared to be a room inside a manor with rich owners, because its furniture was luxurious in the color of green and silver.
He hissed quietly: “Someone must do something with the host, or else the summoning would be interrupted. She tried to escape, and we better not let her succeed in the next time...if there has a next time.” He then laughed the kind of laughter that is spine-freezing.
Voldemort turned and asked a Death Eater nearby: “Is it the time to start yet?” “My Lord, the planets will line up in three minutes’ time.” “Good.” He relaxed in his chair – more like some kind of a throne – and waved his wand. “Imperio.” The sixth-year Hogwarts student’s face become strangely blank and her eyes were no longer focused. Voldemort gave another flick of his wand and she walked towards the ring of candles. Then, she sat down at the middle of the star, and much to the Death Eaters’ surprise, she began to hover in midair in the lotus position, looking completely relaxed and with her eyes closed. The bright light turned out, leaving the candles as the main source of light in the room. Nobody moved. They are waiting – everything is waiting.

A streak of purple light flew right from the glass ceiling into the center of the sign and reached its target, to be precise, the Imperiused girl. She smiled, not the usual kind of friendly smile you would see, but a cold, dark, and creepy one. She reached the throne where the Dark Lord is sitting, and bowed. “My Lord... I’m very glad to meet you at last. I’ve always wanted to dispose of that highly annoying Moon Princess and be a follower of you.” “Rise, Princess. Or as I might call you...Nyx.” Harry gasped for breath, his scar still hurting and pounding ferociously. Nyx? What in the name of Merlin is going on here? First Serenity, now... He stopped his line of thought, thinking hard. I’d better tell Hermione. But last time, she argued against it at once. Now she can’t deny this, even Voldemort knows. Harry sank back into a surprisingly untroubled sleep.

And before he knew it, the morning has come to the sky above The Burrow. Hermione was pulling his curtain open and nudging Ron in order to wake him up. “Hermione,” “Huh? Don’t tell me you have another dream about that so-called “Princess”.” Harry can’t help himself but sighed and rolled his eyes. “Yeah, ‘Mione, you’ve got that one right. But this one doesn’t involve Serenity, but another one called “Nyx”. And it also involved Voldemort.”

“What?” Ron dropped his lower jaw. And Harry began telling his friends about the dream. After he have finished, Hermione pulled an “I-have-read-this-somewhere” look on her face: “Hmm...Nyx... I know; it is the name of a goddess in Greek mythology! She is the goddess of Darkness. But, Harry, you’re getting a little bit obsessed about these two girls. I mean -” She stopped and asked Harry: “Do you remember the girl who was Imperiused’s look? At least we know that she’s in her sixth year at Hogwarts thanks to her outfit.” He shook his head, and Hermione looked rather disappointed. But he has a rather odd feeling. Why that girl did look so familiar to him? It seemed that he have met her somewhere, and not long ago.

Hermione sighed and stood up. “Well, we’ve got to go packing. Or we’ll be late for the train.”
