Hi, I'm Smergie and this is my first FF. Comments are wonderful and I would love to hear all comments from my readers. I hope you enjoy this FF.

"What is it?" asked the 16-year-old Harry Potter, with confusion etched on his face.
"It is the Ring of Sarumon, loyal worshipper of Voldemort." Dumbledore said to his favorite student, Harry, and his best friends Ron and Hermione.
"I've heard of him" Hermione said quietly "he's the enemy of Gandalf the Grey, another great wizard. Sir how did you find it?" Hermione asked pointing to the ring in Dumbledore's hand.
"I met this curious being. His name was Bilbo Baggins, he gave me the ring so I could explain to his nephew that he must destroy the ring before Sarumon can get it. If Frodo, Bilbo's nephew, does not destroy the ring the world will be lost." Dumbledore said looking at the three teenagers.
"Sir why are you telling us all this?" Harry asked as he found his voice.
"Good question, Harry. I am telling you this because i want you three two go with Frodo and his friends Sam, Merry, and Pippin. I want you to go with them so you can protect them and help them in this journey. Will you three accept?"
Harry looked at his friends and said, "I'll go sir, but as for Ron and Hermione, it is their decision."
"Harry, we'll go with you whereever. You're our friend so you're not going without us," Hermione said as Ron just nodded in response.
"Alright Sir, We'll do it," Harry said to Dumbledore.

Knock, Knock came the rapping of someone at Frodo Baggins.
“Who is it?” Frodo called through the door.
“It is I, Gandalf the Grey” Dumbledore replied.
“Gandalf come in, please make yourself at home” Frodo said politely.
“Thank you, Frodo. I have come to inform you of a mission your uncle asked me to help you with.” Dumbledore said bending down to look the young hobbit in the eye.
“A mission from my uncle. Please, Gandalf tell me what it that my uncle wants me to do.” Frodo asked, excitement creeping in to his voice.
"Frodo come here, this ring is the power of Sarumon, with this he can return to powers again. Frodo, your uncle wants you to destroy this ring by taking it to the volcano in Mordor." Dumbledore said taking a deep breath. "Frodo I cannot go with you, but I have found three capable teenagers to go in my place. These three know me as Dumbledore. They will help you in your quest." Dumbledore finished as he stood to leave.
"Gandalf, may I ask Sam, Merry, and Pippin along?" Frodo asked.
"Yes Frodo that would be wise." and with that he turned and left. | |
