Poetry: Poem Requests

In response to a very good suggestion by several of you recently, I am opening a thread where poetically-challenged people can make requests of a poem for any occasion (birthday, wedding, birth, rainy days, get well soon.....etc) or most any subject (music, movies, books, sports). Those of us who want to give it a go will respond with a poem as quickly as possible by posting them here. You must follow all SS Rules and Guidelines in your submissions. Please have fun with this and be creative......enjoy.

I will have a go but keep in mind this is my very first poem and it will probably be bad but i hope not.

Harry and Ginny

Eyes as green as the leaf on a tree and hair as dark as oil,
This is the boy who I love,
I watch him walk and I see him fly and yet he has no clue,
Should I tell him or should I not for he is the one that I love,
Would it ruin me? Would it hurt me? if he should not be aware,

The dreaded mark that he was cursed with tells the story of his past,
The horrific truth behind that mark,
He is just a boy,
So why did he have to suffer from the retched man,

Alright it's not the best... but here ya go:

Hogwarts today
is not like before
The new professors this year
have much for you in store.

Take Oliver Jenkins,
he teaches Ancient Runes.
He likes to play pranks,
and must love cartoons.

Professor Hadley instead
is about Numbers and Fate
Arithmancy can be cool
but the woman needs a date.

Professor Roslund is one
that looks to the stars
Astronomy can be fun,
from Jupiter to Mars.

Williamson is a hunk,
this much I know is true
He loves all creatures
Whether they crawled or flew.

Schirmer is the blonde
the boys love to stare
You can't charm a charmer
for it's you she'll ensnare.

Romanos teaches Defence
The dark arts aren't a joke
Study hard and you'll see
you will never ever choke.

The centaur Thereos,
he teaches Divination
He isn't a very good teacher
For him it's a living, not a vocation

Professor Maximus Vindictus
is a champ that's true
He's the flying instructer
and Ravenclaw head, that's not new

Professor Seren Bentley,
Herbology she does teach,
Plants are her thing
she can grow a juicy peach...

Professor Dash Scabior
He's not boring in the least
History of Magic's now great
and he was at the startofterm feast

Professor Gemma Cerulean
teaches Muggles Studies
She sweet, kind and nice
and she'd like to be buddies

Down in the dungeons
dwells the queen Snake
Potions Mistress Hecate Lafay
in your shoes makes you quake

Professor Isabelle Magnus
teaches Transfiguration
She won't teach you to
turn into a dalmation

Mister Waylon A. Murdoch
is the Hogwarts groundskeeper
He's handsome and quiet
but he's not a sound sleeper.

The school healer is
Nurse Cecilia Tillstorm
when you enter the hospital wing
you must fill out her form

Finally the Headmaster
Who Rules this great school
Gaellen Tate is his name
and he's always so cool

And that is the staff
Of this term's Hogwarts
They may not be the best
but they're all in our hearts
