Fandango, an entertainment site, has published its list of the top 50 male and female actors for 2007. The site asked visitors to vote for the stars they were most looking forward to seeing in 2007, and Emma came in at number 24 on the list of actresses. Dan also made the list, securing 20th position on the list of actors.

New Scans and Translation from Tu Magazine

We've got the scans from the Chilean Magazine, Tu, which did a feature article on Emma.

<A href="http://www.emmawatson.us/galleries/displayimage.php?album=176&pos=3"><A href="http://www.emmawatson.us/galleries/displayimage.php?album=176&pos=0"> <A href="http://www.emmawatson.us/galleries/displayimage.php?album=176&pos=1"> <A href="http://www.emmawatson.us/galleries/displayimage.php?album=176&pos=2">

We've also got the English translation of the article.

Without magic and a lot of common sense, Emma faces up the usual fears and challenges of being a teenager. This acting lover, who gets embarrassed in front of boys, hopes Hermione not to be her last cinema role. These are the latest news about Emma Watson.

EMMA WATSON

16 years old and already a teenager, Emma Charlotte Duerre Watson is getting ready for, what she calls her "two weeks of fame," as every time a Harry Potter film comes out. As for any girl it would be incredible to have all the benefits while working on a Harry Potter film, Emma just takes it quietly: she works hard to remain her feet on the ground, since part of the money she has is designated to afford her university career. "When I'm not filming, I like to go out with friends, watch a movie, have a drink at Starbucks, buy CDs and spend time at my girlfriend's house" she points out.

But is undeniable that Watson receives more attention than someone else her age, and that's what she criticises when it's said it'd be easy to be Emma Watson. "I get so upset when people think that just by being famous I can have it all. I know that even though I wasn't famous, when it comes to guys and romance it'd be as complicated as it is, when you're an actress, it's even more stressful," she confesses.

Friendship and Glamour

Everything's not "that bad." The glamorous side of bringing Hermione to life is one of the biggest experiences so far, and she's conscious that if it wasn't for Harry Potter, she would have had to wait until being an old lady to get to know the United States, Europe and Asia. And that's not all, because after spending six years with Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe, now all grown up, it hasn't been an obstacle for them to make a big joke with Emma every time they can, like in a real family. "We have to see each other almost every day. They have seen me very glamorous at the premieres, and so at six o' clock in the morning without make-up. It's impossible not to feel like a real family," Emma remarks.

Did you know?

One of Emma's deepest feelings of sadness was when her seven year old cousin, Hannah, died from cancer.

She loves to dance. Dan Radcliffe is one of her dance partners at parties and premieres.

Things never missing at the set: her cell phone, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer, lip gloss, her teddy bear, and the slippers she got for Christmas.

She loves to decorate and redecorate her bedroom again and again.

Last May she took part on the "Worldwide Championship" of Teenager Feminine Hockey played at Oxford. Her team: "the Hockey Rover Sports."

Her worst nightmare is not being able to get rid of her Hermione Granger label. Even though she's conscious about how important is to play the character, Emma is looking forward to play other parts, "Daniel and Rupert are really sure about being actors the rest of their lives. As far as I'm concerned, I don't want Harry Potter to be my last performance. I'd like to play other kind of characters and have a tryout at the theatre, because I like the automatic response from the audience," she points out.

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix

The fifth film from the saga J.K. Rowling has created has been finally finished filming, and considering the eagerness of the fans to see the movie, its worldwide premiere will be in July 2007!

This time the gang will have the need to create Dumbledore's Army, since the new Defence Against the Dark Arts teacher, Dolores Umbridge, isn't giving them the resources to fight against He-who-must-not-be-named. The film was directed by David Yates, who according to Emma gave it a different touch.

Also, Harry is having an inner battle between fear, dragons and devils; this new film is more emotional than the previous ones.

Curiosities

♦ Most of the Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix scenes had been shot at the United Kingdom, such as the Westminster metro station (when Harry and Mr. Weasley go to the Ministry of Magic), the banks of the Thames, the Black Park of Buckinghamshire and the Virginia Waters.

♦ Image Metrics was the enterprise chosen to create Grawp, Hagrid's famous half-brother.

♦ For the Thestrals scene, the actors are able to fly with the aid of a crane. That's Rupert's favourite scene.

♦ One of the funniest moments on set involved Ron's phobia to spiders. The staff was going to include a scene where a tiny spider climbs slowly Ron's leg, but Rupert's fear was massive and they were forced to cut the scene.

I do not know if they are still "dating" nor can I vouch as to it's truthfullness, but it came from emmawatsonempire.com.
William Denehy
In 2004 media said that Emma was dating William Denehy.
Who is he?
He is a pupil at L22,000-a-year School, where he has a sports scholarship and is a star player on the rugby, [and football teams.
Who are his parents?
Father – banker
Mother – photographer
Where do they live?
In South London.
When did they started dating?
Late 2003.
How their relationship looked?
They didn’t get to see each other that much, though, because Emma was often filming and William was a boarding pupil, but they were in constant telephone and e-mail contact.

This is part of the HP-OoP Review in the Leaky Cauldron regarding Emma!
- On Emma: "Emma is a consumate professional which is to say that she's picking up all the good acting habits from the fabulous talent and hundreds of years of combined experience from the actors on set. I wouldn't be surprised to see Emma break out and become a real movie star in the future. She's got the chops and you don't just develop that over time. Don't be surprised to see her at the Academy Awards some day. When she's done with the potter series, you'll be amazed at what she is capable of. I really mean this."

COMMENT ON THIS STORY

POLICE have quizzed a man in his 20s who stalked Harry Potter star Emma Watson.
The terrified 16-year-old was confronted by the fan when he gatecrashed her school.
Police were called after the man got into some of the open lectures she attends.
And in the meantime, Emma was given a private BODYGUARD until the stalker was warned off by officers.
The actress — who has played Hermione Granger in all five Potter movies so far — has continued her studies despite her acting fame.
She is in her first year of A-Levels after a string of GCSE successes.
A source said last night: “The man was an admirer who was over-zealous.
“He found out there were some open lectures at the school and attended them.
“He left Emma alarmed when he approached her and started talking to her about the Potter films.
“The school was informed and so were Emma’s parents. The decision was made to call in the police as the man was not known to her.
“A minder was also hired to be with her.
“The police spoke to the man and he was warned off in no uncertain terms. There have been further incidents since they spoke to him.”
A pal of Emma’s said: “Not only was this worrying for Emma but also very frustrating.
“She and all the other young actors on Harry Potter have made great efforts to lead normal lives.” “They have schooled as normally as possible around the acting roles, have lots of school friends and hobbies and are just young people growing up.

“Considering how they could have let fame affect them they are all incredibly grounded, none so more than Emma.”
The friend added: “She will try not to let this change the way she has to live her day to day life, but obviously the priority is her safety.”
The Sun knows the name and location of the school, but is keeping the information secret to protect her.
Emma has said her celebrity has been responsible for her not having a boyfriend.
She has said: “Guys are either intimidated by me, or they have defences up, or they like to take the p**s out of me.”
Emma, who is reported to be worth £2million, makes her fifth appearance alongside Daniel Radcliffe in Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, which has just finished filming.
Sources at studio Warner Brothers say she has just signed a deal to star in the last two adaptations of the JK Rowling books.
But her movie role — which began when she was just 11 — has also brought her recognition OUTSIDE the film world.
Last year she became the youngest person to appear on the cover of Teen Vogue magazine, at the age of 15.
She also joined Pierce Brosnan and Kenneth Branagh on a jury to select the 2004 teenage filmmakers’ prize for the Film Award ceremony in London’s Leicester Square.
Emma has a legion of fans, with a number of websites set up in her honour.

Haven't they grown ... Emma, Daniel and Rupert in the first film,
and right, the trio in Goblet of Fire
Left picture: REUTERS

She passes her time on movie sets by playing video games and table tennis.
But she has not let the films interrupt her studies, scoring top grades in her GCSEs last summer.
She won eight A* grades and two As in the ten subjects she sat.
The sixth Potter movie — Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince — begins shooting later this year. Emma will once again star with Daniel, 17, and Rupert Grint, 18, who plays Ron Weasley.
A spokesman for the film series refused to comment on Emma’s security scare.
Emma was born in France and grew up in Paris with her lawyer parents Chris and Jacqueline until she was five.
Her mother moved back to England with Emma and her brother when the star’s parents divorced.
The actress entered a top prep school where she acted in class productions — until being spotted for the role that has made her famous.

Default Awww..

TEEN film star Emma Watson is about to do a vanishing act from Hogwarts — because the Harry Potter films have lost their magic.

The pretty 16-year-old, who plays key character Hermione Granger, wants a spell doing other roles.
She has REFUSED to sign a new contract, plunging the final two movies of the JK Rowling novels into crisis.
The feisty young actress has told producers that even doubling her pay packet to Ł2 million a movie won't do the trick.
Filming on the sixth film in the series — Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince — is due to start in months.
Daniel Radcliffe is already signed up to star as the quidditch-playing wizard and Rupert Grint will again play Harry's best pal Ron Weasley.
He told us: "Emma doesn't want to do it any more. She's tired of being known as ‘that girl from Harry Potter'."
She was shocked when a besotted fan stalked her at school.
Rupert added: "Daniel and I are distant from her now. We don't text or talk to her when we are not filming."
Their last film together — Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix — comes out in July. Film makers Warner Brothers confirmed Emma, has not signed for more movies.

Full report of Emma Watson at Oxford Union: Yates 'taught me about truth,' Evanna 'humbles me,' and more

Watson

We have a special report for you today: Emma Watson (Hermione Granger) spoke earlier at Oxford Union at Oxford University, and our correspondent Lorie (better known to PotterCast listeners as Asphodel Wormwood) was there to record the proceedings. She has sent us a report of the event, which includes many thoughtful and interesting tidbits from Emma: What the different directors taught her, how Evanna humbles her, how she's scared of the end of Harry Potter, and how she fell right down the Yule Ball stairs wearing her £20,000 dress.

Pictures will come tomorrow (of course, anyone who was there should send them in as well!) - Read below and enjoy!

~*~

By Lorie Damerell, for The Leaky Cauldron

'I'm a normal girl and went to a normal school,' Emma Watson began.

In front of some of the most intelligent students in the UK, Watson's speech at the Oxford Union focuses on her acting career and starts at the beginning: she's 'a 16-year-old girl who something special happened to.' Emma said that her only dream as a young girl was to be a performer, and what better opportunity than to be in some of the biggest films of all time? She went over the oft-told tale of her casting: how one Thursday lunchtime, the selecting team for the films came to her school and asked for a selection of around 15 young girls to be put forward for the part of Hermione. 'I have never wanted anything so much in my entire life,' she said, and waited 'endless months' for the verdict. When she received the news, she 'just cried' with happiness.

About 35,000 people have been employed in the making of the Harry Potter film, Emma said, so it's no small wonder that her first day on set was rather intimidating. Her mascot was her pet hamster, Milly, who she describes as her 'confidante' when times got hard -- four-and-a-half hours a day (the maximum amount permitted legally for minors) of acting that produces only two minutes of actual screenplay would be enough to send most young girls in search of some furry consolation.

'I got tired but it never seemed to matter -- I was so excited,' She said.

Watson would do anything up to 22-and-a-half hours of acting and a minimum of 15 hours tuition a week. Where the boys might grow four inches per film, Emma would lose teeth and on-set dentists would fill them in so that continuity could be kept.

Emma said being an actress is about trust. Unlike her character, Emma took three years to let go of her vanity and become Hermione, she said. Initially conscious that she could be teased for wearing the woolly jumpers Hermione had to don, she finally learned to let it all come naturally and fit into the role. Emma loves to learn, and stated this repeatedly throughout the evening.

She identifies the different directors by what they taught her.

'Alfonso Cuaron taught me about beauty', Mike Newell taught her that, 'acting just wasn't enough', and David Yates 'taught me about finding truth.' After five films and many great directors and actors about her to inspire, she has finally got to grips,' she said.

She went on to speak about the nitty gritty of acting, the technical elements so rarely seen in the final product.

'I find blue screen really difficult,' perhaps because it was 'depressing being surrounded by blue all the time,' she said.

She finds the sets most exciting; hippos were behind the magical paintings on the walls, hundreds of different kinds of sweets lined the shelves of Honeyduke's, and they were all edible. No one knows how many wands Ollivander kept, but in the film there are seventeen thousand different wands and a total of eleven thousand books were made by props staff on set for various purposes.

Warner Brothers have spent a 'fortune' on publicity, Watson said. Harry Potter is a 'global phenomenon' and she asks herself, 'where do I escape?'

She estimates she's done 300 interviews on average per film. 'People suddenly believe that they have the right to own me,' she said. But there is no bitterness in her voice -- she doesn't agree with it, but seems to understand this is all part and parcel of being an actress - just like the disproportionate focus on her appearance and weight, and the way people tend to call her Hermione.

'Am I scared of being stereotyped? Am I scared of the end of Harry Potter? The answer's 'yes,'' she said.

She has spent six years acting as Hermione, and says 'It is 'not a dream come true but a job,' and that job is a roller-coaster. There are laughs to be had but stress also. Sometimes, she says, it's as though one more scene will make her 'explode'.

Near the end of her speech, Emma speaks about Evanna Lynch, who has been cast as Luna Lovegood and is known by now to Harry Potter fans as just as big of a Harry Potter nut as all of us. 'It humbles me to the core,' Emma said.

Following typical Oxford Union speaker format, questions were taken after Emma's speech. She was first asked how much of the character she had to learn about, while filming. Emma said, with much emphasis, that she 'loved' the books before being cast.

Before filming, she met JK Rowling and wanted to be Rowling's Hermione and no other version. But she does nothing to 'get into character...[because] I'm actually really similar,' and so it's all 'really easy. Really, I'm quite lucky.'

She then described Hermion as 'a really great role model' for her, and no wonder. Like her screen counterpart, Emma is focused on her education. Now at the stage of doing AS- and A-Levels (the Muggle equivalent of NEWTs) she had to think really hard when offered the role of Hermione for the fifth film. She sat down with Yates, and told him how important her education was to her. But the directors 'care about me' and 'really look out for me' so she was granted time off for taking her mock GCSEs and actual GCSE exams (Muggle equivalent of OWLs) at the beginning of filming for Order of the Phoenix.

Will Robertson, Oriel Classicist, asked whether Emma feels she has influenced the character in the books. Emma's response is that she knows Hermione is based upon Rowling herself, however flattering it would be to have influenced her. Watson takes the opportunity to say that had she written the books that she couldn't bear for them to be made into films. 'I can't believe how supportive [Rowling's] been of the films ... amazing. Really, really amazing.'

When asked what in the Potterverse she would like to be real, she refers to that special dispensation granted to Hermione in her third year: a Time-Turner. Not for the same purposes as Miss Granger; instead Emma says that it would be really rather useful to have if you ever said the wrong thing -- then you could go back and alter what you had said. But it would still be 'quite a responsibility.'

The next questioner asks Emma what it was like to film the Yule Ball. It was a 'defining moment of feminity,' she says. Wearing 'this bloody &163;20,000 dress' that was custom-made, with 'so many people prodding and poking me.'

Add to that cauldron of pressure a set of heels and a director suggesting hundreds of different ways to walk down stairs, Emma confessed that, on the second take, she fell down them. She was 'absolutely mortified.'

Did Emma have dreams before? She said that as a young girl she wrote poetry. She loved English and all that it entailed, and always wanted to perform.

And her favourite ice-cream flavour? Mint choc-chip. She was then invited to a student's college for lunch on Sunday.

When asked who she thinks Hermione as a character has inspired, Emma generalized and reminded us of some of Hermione's more significant qualities.

'She bosses the guys around' and makes having a 'brain not beauty cool.' Although 'slightly socially inept' Hermione is 'not ashamed of herself.' Emma says that the saddest thing for a girl to do is to dumb herself down for a guy. Hermione wouldn't do it, so neither should anyone else.

She is then asked what the most magical moment of filming was. There were 'so many sets' that were 'just stunning,' she says, but the most impressive was when she first saw the Great Hall first lit up. But in the most recent film, there was a magical moment of a different kind: not a set, but the actors and actresses. Luna Lovegood described the DA as 'like having friends' and for Emma, when the DA first got together and filmed their first scene it was 'really cool' -- a real magical moment.

Emma Watson has always wanted both school and acting, and this is how she sees her future. She really wants to go to university, particularly when the acting system is 'unreliable.' She wants to go elsewhere, to learn what it is like to live on your own, to live with friends and away from parents. Speaking of which, she was then asked what her parents -- who sat on the front bench to Watson's right -- think. Both attended Oxford and are intelligent enough to do what is best for their daughter.

'All my money is pretty much locked away,' she said, and she is more than happy with this. She doesn't really like being asked about money, but does describe that she has an allowance and that enables her to live like a normal teenage schoolgirl.

Will she be comfortable in a future of acting where she is not Hermione? It is 'a bit of a daunting concept' and she hopes that she is 'talented enough to pull it off' when she does finally dabble in something different. Perhaps theater or maybe just a 'big blonde bouffant.'

The audience laughs and claps, and Watson is escorted out.

But there is no bitterness in her voice -- she doesn't agree with it, but seems to understand this is all part and parcel of being an actress - just like the disproportionate focus on her appearance and weight, and the way people tend to call her Hermione.

mma Watson not quitting Potter

Harry Potter actress Emma Watson is certain she will do the last two Potter movies, despite reports claiming she told film bosses she wanted to quit.
A spokesperson for Warner Bros., who make the films, told Newsround: "We're extremely confident that Emma will be back for films six and seven."
And while doing interviews for the fifth potter film Emma has said she's sure she will film all seven stories.
Emma, who plays Hermione in the films, is set to sign her new contract soon.

All the actors appearing in the Potter movies sign contracts with the film company which agree things like how much they'll be paid.

Emma, Daniel and Rupert

Daniel Radcliffe who plays Harry has already signed his, but the details are still being worked out for Emma's. Warner Bros. plan to start filming the sixth story Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince with Dan, Emma and Rupert Grint later this year. And all three are also expected to make the final film The Deathly Hallows after that.

Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson to Reprise Roles in the Final Two Installments of Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Harry Potter” Film Franchise

BURBANK, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Daniel Radcliffe, Rupert Grint and Emma Watson will reprise the roles they have made their own: teen wizards Harry Potter, Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger, respectively, in Warner Bros. Pictures’ “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows,” the final two motion picture adaptations of J.K. Rowling’s best-selling book series. The announcement was made today by Jeff Robinov, President of Production, Warner Bros. Pictures.
In making the announcement, Robinov said, “When Daniel, Rupert and Emma were first cast as Harry, Ron and Hermione, we knew they were not only talented, but had a very special chemistry. Through the years, and in each of the ‘Harry Potter’ films, we have watched them grow into extraordinary young adults, as well as remarkable actors. It would be inconceivable to imagine anyone else in the roles with which they have become so identified, so we are thrilled and proud that Daniel, Rupert and Emma have chosen to complete the arc of their characters in the final two films.”
Both “Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows” are being produced by David Heyman, who has produced all of the Harry Potter films to date and was instrumental in bringing the franchise to the screen, beginning with the first blockbuster, “Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone.” David Barron, who served as an executive producer on “Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets” and “Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire” and is a producer on the upcoming “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” will also be producing the final two installments of the franchise.
Producer David Heyman said, “One of the highlights of this journey has been to witness Dan, Rupert and Emma blossom from children into young adults. They have emerged as consummate professionals who are dedicated to honing their craft and striving for excellence. And yet, throughout, they have retained their enthusiasm and spirit, and they remain, to this day, the same wonderful, kind and generous individuals I met all those years ago.”
Daniel Radcliffe remarked, “Playing the role of Harry Potter has been an immense privilege, and I look forward to completing the series. I feel a huge sense of loyalty to the character of Harry and the fans who have supported these films over the years. During filming, I have learnt so much, made lots of friends and met people who have changed my life. I am indebted to J K Rowling, Warner Bros. and David Heyman for giving me this fantastic opportunity.”
Emma Watson stated, “I could never let Hermione go—she is my hero! I love her too much and love what playing her has meant to me. I am excited and honoured to be finishing what I started and playing her in all seven of the films.”
Rupert Grint offered, “Ron Weasley has become a big part of my life and not just because we’ve both got ginger hair! I’ve been so proud to play him and loved every second of being part of this world. I’m really looking forward to filming the last two films and being back with my ‘Weasley family’ and, of course, to seeing my good friends Emma and Dan. Thank you to everyone for being so supportive over the years; we couldn’t have done it without you.”
Warner Bros. Pictures’ fifth film in the series, “Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix,” is slated for release in the U.S. on July 13, 2007.

Emma Watson: Although Daniel Radcliffe is enjoying the spotlight these days for his stage work in the racy play "Equus," the real emerging star of the "Harry Potter" franchise is the lovely Emma Watson, whose performance as Hermione Granger is head and shoulders above Radcliffe's. And even though Rupert Grint is adorable as Ron Weasley, it's clear both he and Radcliffe are still mugging a bit for the cameras. You can get away with this as a child actor, but it doesn't translate much beyond puberty. Watson has been more than booked with the Harry Potter roles, but she'll surely have other offers once the series wraps (and she'd better stick with the Potter movies, or they will be forever marred by her absence).
