At first glance, the room seems to be just an depository for files, with one entire wall taken up by file cabinet after file cabinet. Import permits, export records, sanctuary inspection reports, permits to build, dig, plant, uproot, cross-breed, you name it. But on closer inspection, there are also a number of maps affixed to the walls. Each map, if watched closely, can be seen to change. These charmed maps keep track of the variety of responsibilities that Environmental Regulation and Protection has. Some maps track the current weather across Wizarding Britain. Other maps show the currently approved sanctuaries and their current status. Others are nautical maps, monitoring the waters our Oceanologists frequent.

In the center of the room is a large table, suitable for unrolling one of the less magical maps stored in the cabinets or laying out all the documentation for a new sanctuary permit.
