The Hall of Prophecy is a chamber which is home to many shelves that hold fragile orbs. These shelves rise from floor to ceiling and take up the entire room. The racks hold hundreds of dusty orbs, each with a label attached. The orbs are magically protected, meaning that only specific people can take them off the shelves. The orbs all are unique, with some glowing with a faint inner whiteness whilst others are dark and cold. The hall is dimly lit with candles bolted onto the ends of each rack, meaning Unspeakables that wonder along the rows will have to light their wand to have the ability to see where they are walking.

Work within the Hall of Prophecy is split into three divisions: the orb specialists who safeguard the orbs, the prophecy collectors who collect and store the prophecies within orbs, and the prophecy collators who compare and collate the prophecies.
