ECFC Discussion topic #5: Aberforth Dumbledore

Aberforth Dumbledore. Sounds mysterious, right?
Very little is known about Aberforth, though much has been assumed.

I think it's safe to say that he is the man that works in the Hog's Head bar in Hogsmade. Due to this quote of JK Rowling's:

That is all that I am going to say. [Laughter]. Well yes, obviously. I like the goat clue—I sniggered to myself about that one.

Okay. So, what do you think Aberforth will do in the last book? Will he befriend Harry? Is he as kind as his brother (if a bit dimmer... remember the goat thing?)?

Gee, no one has tackled this topic yet? I will express a few feeble opinions and hope someone else will join in and we can get the discussion going, because I really am not as articulate or expressive as some of you.

Definitely, I think Aberforth is going to be on the side of the good. He is going to help Harry is some way, though we don't know what that is going to be at this time. I heard someone express an interesting theory, that it wasn't really Albus Dumbledore who was killed but rather Aberforth, but I don't think that's true. (I wish it was, for everyone's sake! But alas, no.) I am wondering if Fawkes is going to return and assist Aberforth in whatever he is going to be doing, I'd like to see that, personally.

I will add to the discussion later. Someone has to get the thing started, and I hope I was able to do that! Go for it, guys! And oh, what about those goats?
