Nick was excited. Now the Dungeon Corridor had been closed off and his Death Day Party was ready to begin! He was so looking forward to having all his friends from Hogwarts come to the party - ghosts, staff and students alike. As he gazed upon the large table of rancid, moulded food and all the beautiful candles, he became nostalgic for the days when he was a human and could eat again. Foods which have gone rotten are most appealing to ghosts, it is almost like they can taste again. His guests were going to have such a wonderful time here tonight, it was that special time of year!

Daniel walked slowly to the Dungeon corridor. He was so excited to go to the Death Day Party of their House Ghost, Nearly Headless Nick. He got so excited that he think he overdid his zombie constume, he looks like more of a ghoul than the muggle monster, Frankenstein.

But something is bothering him. What to bring to the party?

When he arrived, he was the first one in here and only Sir Nick is here. He approached him and asked.

"Great Evening, Sir Nick. Something is bothering me. I do not know what to bring as a token to your party." he said looking around. "Happy Death Day to you, by the way." he said that with hesitancy because he is not sure that one is happy dying.

"Hello, Daniel, and welcome to my party!", Nick called out heartily. "Indeed, you need not worry about what gift to bring, the important thing is that you are here! My Death Day only comes once a year, and I did so want to share it with all of you, my dearest friends!"

To tell the truth, Evelyn was a little skeptical when she read the notice about this...party...thing. A Death Day party? Just the name 'Death Day' brought shivers down her spine, much less it being a party. Nonetheless, she walked into the dungeon corridor, marveling at the display of candles, though frowning in disgust at the food.

Adjusting her black jacket, she stuck her hands slightly in her black skinny jeans and took a step closer in the room. Evelyn pretty much dressed up as a vampire, seeing as this was last minute and couldn't think of anything else. She already had the pale skin down (hehe), and she decided to dress in all black (except her white blouse). She also changed her hazel eye color to an icy blue from a spell her uncle taught her awhile back and made sure she also darkened around her eyes for added effect, making her skin look even more pale, practically white as a ghost. *teehee* Evelyn also wore a black choker necklace that was once her mothers, but given to her for her eighth birthday for some reason. Oh well, it matched the outfit.

Spotting only another student and a ghost in...the room... 'Should have been prepared for that.' Evelyn thought, pausing in her walk and staring at the ghost. 'Stop staring! You'll look like an idiot! Would this ghost be like the...Bloody Baron? Or is he nicer...?' Remembering the memories of meeting the Baron, she started to debate whether or not to just run out of there, but then decided to stick around, maybe see where this thing is going.

"Hello-erm...Good Evening." she said softly, almost stuttering, to the people in the room, folding her arms behind her back and looking generally shy and innocent.

A wide smile came to Daniel's face. He is very happy and now all the worries in him was gone. He looked at Sir Nick and said, "I am very much obliged to share your Death Day Celebration with you." he then looked around and said, "So, am I that early?" he said because nobody is around just yet. Or maybe they forgot. That is grave.

So to past time, he would ask questions and talk to Sir Nick, "Er, Sir Nick where are your other, uhm, ghost friends?" he said scratching his chin.

Walking down the corridor, no more like hurrying down it, toward the death day party Miles couldn't contain his excitement. This was going to be so much fun. With his dirtied clothes which surprisingly wasn't so hard to get dirty and the headless hat this was going to be a blast. Looking behind him at Fia he grinned and slipped the hat on his head as they reached the part. "How do I look?" She couldn't see the grin but it was a mile wide as he looked at Fia. Wonder how many firsties he could scare...

Fia pinned her hair to her head and looked up just in time to catch Miles in action. "Oh, Miles! That is wonderful!" She began to giggle and placed her headless hat over her head as well. "How do I look?" She stuck out her tongue and crossed her eyes but not that anyone could see what she was doing. "Nearly Headless Nick will be shocked!"

Miles bowed slightly so his hat wouldn't try and fall off and watched as Fia put her headless hat on. "Fearful..we'll give them a real treat." Laughing he cleared his throat and walked into the room where the part was looking to everyone else as it was a headless torso wandering about. Man...should've made some of those Quidditch balls into heads or figured out how to get a lifelike one without being...well...alive. Grabbing Fia's hand he led her into the room and looked around. They were supposed to be headless right? Did that mean no talking? Maybe a little thought should've been put into this. Or at least more.

Fia wrapped her fingers around Miles' hand as they walked inside the dungeon room. She giggled as her shoulders scrunched up and her hand went to where her mouth would have been if she wasn't wearing a HEADLESS HAT. They were celebrating with NEARLY Headless Nick as it was a PARTY for the dead. "So like, no one will know it's us," she whispered, moving closer into Miles as they walked. She looked around the room seeing that one of her favorite ghosts of the school was already chatting with another student. "There he is." Ghosts were just...MADE OF AWESOME!

Daniel looked around and saw two others coming. He straightened up and arranged his zombie outfit (Frankenstein per se). He smiled and said,"Hello, at last. How are you?" he then looked at their costumes, "You both look terribly great!" he said as a compliment.

Fia looked up and had to wave with her free hand. "Thanks," she spoke behind the headless hat. "Ohhhh you are....that dude! The one that was made out of parts...with bolts in his head!" Oh it was that muggle story that she wanted to read but hadn't yet. "You look GREAT!" She clapped her hands together and she was smiling...but no one could see.

" Happy Death Day" Jason told Nearly Headless Nick. Jason came to the party dressed as Wolfman.

"Thank you." he said smiling at her. He didn't overdid the costume afterall. "And his name is Frankenstein, by the way. If you like, I can lend you the book." he said looking at them.

Then he saw a fellow Gryffindor.

"Hi Jason. You look very much like a real werewolf." he said with a smile.

Adrienne had seen the notice in the common room for the deathday party, and, since she'd always thought Nearly Headless Nick was a nice ghost, even if he was the Gryffindor house ghost, she figured she could be nice back and support him at his party. Besides, she figured other students would go, so at least she could talk to people.

And she could wear some of her more . . . dressy shoes. Because she wasn't about to try and figure out a costume. And she didn't figure there were going to be too many places she could wear the Louboutins she currently had on her feet. And, she thought with a giggle, at least they were black, so certain people, if they deigned to make an appearance, couldn't have too many arguments.

Stepping into the room in the dungeons, she wrinkled her nose momentarily as the stench of rotten food hit her, but straightened her face out and smiled as she approached the ghost. "Happy death day, Nick," she said politely, before glancing around to see who else was there. Not too many people yet, but she stifled a giggle at two fairly familiar headless torsos. Heading over, she grinned before saying, "That's a good look for you, Miles, Fia." At least she would know some people there, even if she couldn't see their heads.

The notice in the common room had been, to say the least, conspicuous, and Fyo had seen it earlier. He stepped into the dungeons now, a quirky little look on his face. Strange home, Hogwarts! The last celebration one could hope for would be that of Death but, of course, this was Hogwarts, the best setting for an event one would not expect in the least.

Highly-polished shoes [such veiled irony!] thudding softly against the floor, the fourth year made his not-so-grand entrance, his eyes travelling rather slowly across the place. Ah, there he was, Nearly-Headless Nick - his house ghost. "Happy, err, Death Day, Nick!" he said, with a wave.

Wait, was he supposed to sound... cheerful?

Fyo honestly had no idea.

Death Day party ? Yes.Thats sertainly wait the notice had said.

Death Day party ? But what did it mean ? Did it mean they were all gonna die ? Naahh Corse not Nearly headless nick wouldn't kill them,Would he ? Gulp.Deciding she'd stay for the party seen as she was already here she waited to see if Warren would stay or if anyone else she knew would appear.

Selena made her way into the party, clutching a camera and feeling slightly disgruntled. Kat have forced her to dressup with deathly pale skin, golden contacts, red lipstick and eyeshadow and she had to take a picture of herself in costume. If not, then her poor ears will have to fall off with the receiving of a Howler. Her older friend can seriously get waaay overboard with her freaky vampire obsession. She tried to look for the owner of the party and her house ghost to ask him if ghosts can be taken on camera, and take a picture with him if possible.

Ok. So this was slightly weird.Death Party? That wasnt exactly the most inviting notice around,but it surely did interest Parker. Of corse,it wasnt everyday that you saw a notice that read Death Party. So this was going to be interesting.Would give Parker an oppotunity to meet some new people,as he must have known about five.

Walking into the room with his hands firmly tucked in his pockets,Parker stood there.Rather perplex and admired the rooms decoration.The food,the death themed decorations placed around the room. Hmm. Interesting.

Death Day party! What could this be? Ooooh it is so exciting!
Miranda hurried down the corridor, hoping she wasn't too late. This was all so dark artsy!

She came to the door and looked inside. There were a few people here already and there was Nick, enjoying the attention.

Miranda walked inside and was immediately aware of something rotting in this room. "Ugh..." she mumbled and wrinkled her nose. Right, no more breathing through the nose for now.

Seeing the Gryffindor Ghost, the Huffie approached him with a grin.
"Hello Sir Nicholas! Happy Death Day!" she cheered and raised her hand to show him a card she'd done and waved at him with her other.

Miranda had done the card the night before, thinking hard on what she could draw on it. Would ghosts be sad if they were reminded of their death and tombs?
To be on the safe side, she drew things that were ''normal'' for a birthday festivities.

Cedric walked in at errr. Nick's deathday party. He thought that the party would be eventful and exiting. He was ecstatically excited about coming at Nick's party although he's sick. Sneezing with his handkerchief at his nose, Cedric headed to Nick. "Happy Deathday Nick!" Cedric started cheerfully, looking exhilarated.

Chris walked down to the Dungeons as Jason had said he should come. He had thrown on skinny jeans with a t-shirt and a vest and his normal hat on. He was trying to look like a rockstar not the best costume ever sense he normal dressed like this anyways but hey Jason said he had to dress up so to make the whole thing look real he put his guitar on his back and Bam! He was dressed up. Oh crap...This was a Death Day party??? Great more death around him. Why was he even here? He didn't feel like going to a party at all. Sigh. "Happy Death Day." He said trying to sound cheerful to Nearly Headless Nick. He then walked over to Jason. "Why did you bring me here?" He asked.

Via wanted so much to attend NIck's birthday party... deathday. It was a very terrible story how NIck had ended up like that. Anywy it wasn't time for grieving. Nick wouldn't like it.

She wasn't really dressed for a Halloween treat. She just put on some white lacy dress and let her brunette hair on loose. Glad she wasn't alone in there, "Hello Nick..." she smiled at the Gryffindor ghost. "Your party's cool." It really is..

How many party like that had she attended.. none yet... this is the first one.

"Hello Daniel,Hi Jason," she turned to the people she knew. "Hey Chris," she smiled. So even Ravenclaws were there... coz Adrienne was there. She just didn't wanna go near the table because of the maggots and everything else but apart from that it's a great one.

Seeing a hufflepuff, "Cedric?" she gladly walked over to him.

Having received the news that there was one happening party down in the dungeons, LouAnn slipped on her Halloween costume and made way down. She had yet to meet Nearly Headless Nick, too, so it'd be a treat just to finally see her house's ghost. When she finally stepped foot into the dungeon corridors, the disgusting smell of molded food reached her first. She wrinkled her nose but otherwise said and did nothing. It was Halloween, after all.

"Trick or treat, people!!!"

She waved at a few familiar faces as she slid her way through the crowd. She was almost sure she accidentally hit someone with the bun part of her costume, but she couldn't be sure. "Excuse me if that was you!" she called out.

"Well, good evening!", Nick told the girl, Evelyn. "Welcome to my Death Day party, and thank you for coming. It's nice to have the young ladies here, too."

"Being early is good sometimes," Nick said thoughtfully, at least thoughtfully for a ghost. "Someone has to be the first one, after all. And I don't know where the others are. They'll show up eventually, I'm sure. They always do!" At least Nick hoped they would.

"Nice costume, Jason," Nick commented. "It suits you somehow."

"You drew me a card, Miranda?", Nick asked happily. "That was very kind of you! Oh, you have great talents, I see," he commented, looking at the card closely. "Very nice, and thank you for coming here and sharing this special day."

"Welcome, Cedric," Nick said happily. "Are you feeling ill?", he asked as the boy sneezed.

"Thank you, Chris," Nick said. "You are welcome to the party!"

Nick wanted to make an announcement for all the students who had shown up. "Thank you all so much for coming! We have wonderful food here, though it may not be the liking for some of you, I'm afraid. Perhaps we can get some in here that might be more to your liking." Nick looked towards another table in the back of the room, far from the rancid food. "We want this to be a party, after all, and my choice of cuisine doesn't seem to be that appealing to any of you, I'm afraid, and I do want you all to be happy. Also, I'm afraid I don't know what music I should have chosen. I prefer chamber music myself, but I understand that some of you like a different sort of entertainment - wizard wrock or something like that. If you students would like to provide that type of entertainment, that would be fine with me, too, but do thank you for coming. This is a special day, not only is it Halloween but it is also my Death Day, and I do love spending it with all of you!"

Helena hadn't known what to expect walking in, but she definitely didn't expect to see Chris. But he was talking to Jason, so she took advantage of this and headed over to Nearly-Headless Nick. Good evening, Sir Nicholas. I wanted to stop by and wish you a Happy Death Day and apologize that I won't be staying for the evening, as I'm feeling a bit under the weather, she said with an apologetic look. Please forgive me, but I'm going to go and try and sleep off whatever this is. Have a good evening. She gave him a small smile and headed out of the dungeon towards her common room, but she changed her mind half way....
