It had only been a few minutes ago that she'd entered the alley and found it had been taken over by a festival of sorts, and already she was seated on one of the tables with her legs crossed at the angles and swinging absently. Dora wasn't tired, but she was unsure of what she wanted to do. She did have a pouch full of galleons that needed to be spent, but she had already done so much of that this summer that she was looking to do something else. But was in a skirt which fortunately limited her to a few activities.

Concert watching?

The carousel?

Maybe she would just sit her and occasionally people watch. It was working for her so far. Dora swung her legs and leaned back on the palms of her hands, tilting her head back to soak up the sun that wasn't nearly as warming as the Miami sun had been.

Blue didn't really have anywhere to go. After a while of wandering around for quite some time, looking for something to do, she'd settled on finding a table and just take pictures with her snazzy camera of her feet. Her toes were painted and everything. And she was extremely bored. The crowd was growing - quite quickly too, as was her hungry sooooooo....to the tables she went.

Oh look, Dora. Was she sleeping? UMM. What the heck was she supposed to do? Just sit beside her dorm mate and watch her? Or poke her awake? Both options were beyond weird, with the former being creepy. Very creepy.

Instead, Blue plopped down in a chair next to her friend and rooted through her bag for some of her packed lunch. Maybe if she ate really, really loud it would wake Dora up? If she was asleep at all. "Doooooooooora?" Just to check, you know.

She wasn't going to get tan from sitting like this. The fifth year didn't need another tan, but she did note that she wasn't gonna get one sitting like this or wearing all of the black she had one, but it was a wear all black DAY. Tilting her head some, she continued to listen to the crowds while her head was tilted back to the sun.

Sometimes people came closer, but none came closer than this one person rudely intruding on her personal space. Dora frowned at herself until they spoke her name and she was smiling slightly. She knew that voice. "Bluuuuuuuuuue." Without opening her eyes, or turning her head, she leaned back further until she was laid out on the table, legs bent at the knees and dangling over the edge. "Aside from having been missing me SO much, what are you doing?"

Work had been busy over the past week, but nonetheless it had been an experience Lina had enjoyed. A journey she was grateful she had chosen to apply for, but yet she had odd feelings about not going to India with Jayden. What was meant to happen was to happen, and that was what kept her calm about her parents decision. This was also why she regretted close to nothing.

On her own the Finnish girl made her way around the English streets that she was now more familiar with. Everything here was so unlike home, but that was the reason she enjoyed it. Difference, it's what made life exciting. With fascinated eyes she walked through the festival watching the people quietly almost as if she wasn't there. She thought of many things, as she always did. There was constantly thoughts on her mind and as of lately there was more than just thoughts too.

After buying herself a garden gnome salad with the only money she had on her, Adelina headed off to find somewhere to sit. Originally she planned on heading all the way to the park benches she had seen the other day but along the way there she found chairs along with tables that looked quite inviting with the greenery around.

Therefore along with her salad she walked over took a seat and watched people with fascination as she slowly ate her completely meat free salad.

Oh so she was awake. "Yes, tis I, Blue the Magnificent. Blue the Amazing. Blue the Wonderful. Blue the Beater. Bluuuuuuuuuuue." Just in case she needed clarifying as to who exactly was invading her personal bubble or whatever. The girl carried on with what she was doing, much like her friend and went about unpacking her lunch. It wasn't the healthiest of meals. She'd tried to kid her mom with homemade bread but a crisp sandwich did diminish the otherwise would-be healthy snack.

Leaning back into her chair and pulling her legs up so she could tuck them under her, she gave her friend a quick grin. "Aw yes, your ability to be so humble and modest was one I missed greatly. How ever did I survive without you?" Questions that definitely deserved answers. "Not much at all, really. My family wanted to spend loads of time together so we played a bunch of super boring board games." Which she didn't mind as much as she made out. She honestly liked how excited they'd been to see her. "Otherwise, I've been spending all my money on buses to get up here, which is completely pointless given that I have hardly any when I actually arrive. What about you? Any excitement?" Given that Dora had a lovely that could only have been from a non-English sun, evidently there was a story to be told.

After paying for his avocado and turkey sandwich and fruit juice, Adi made his way over to the rest spot. There were a few persons there. All of them girls, older than him. Knowing that he would loose his speech all together unless he forced himself to speak to any girl, Adi decided to go as far away from them as possible.

Sitting on one of the fancy chairs, he began noming on his delicious sandwich, swining his little feet which were dangling over the ground.

Józsua was enjoying his time in Diagon Alley. He had fully believed before he arrived here that the muggle parts of London would appeal to him the most, but Diagon had been a pleasant surprise. The hustle and bustle and now this festival. Although, right now, he was a loner, not knowing anyone bar his Aunt in this country, he was happy with it. Just being alone and soaking up the atmosphere.

His stomach had taken him to the food area where he had purchased a large burger with extra cheesy cheese-cheese goodness. Perfect for a growing fifteen year old boy. Food was his most favourite thing in this world after family. The bottomless pit of a boy was always hungry, always on the hunt for more food.

He was sitting at one of the picnic tables under a parasol and was busy tucking into his large lunch when he sensed someone sit opposite him. He looked up slowly from his burger to look them.

“….”

His chewing slowed and slowed some more.. annnnd slowed some more and finally stopped. He swallowed thickly as his eyes remained on the girl sitting oposite him.

“..Lina..?”

He spoke at last, his voice leaving him a weak croak.

What in MERLIN's name was she doing here?

With so many people in the area, it was fairly easy for Tessa to grab the food that her parents bought for her to eat and slip away to explore. The eleven year decided though she needed to sit down and eat before she continued her exploring. The rest spot was the perfect place to do such a thing.

"Hello!" Tessa greeted the boy about her age. She sat down next to him to eat her food. "I'm Tessa A. Hart." She said with a large smile, she was proud to be a Hart, even if it meant she was related to her brother Lewis.

"Whatcha eating? I've got a chicken and cheese sandwich. Not really my favorite, but it takes away the hunger. Want some?" Tessa offered as she tore off a chunk of the sandwich for the boy she was determined to make friends with.

Botros couldn't decide whether it was sad to sigh in relief when your granddaughter left off to do her job. It wasn't that he didn't enjoy her company, it was just that her company was too much sometimes and you couldn't be left alone to your own thoughts and business when she was around. They weren't even talking, she was the one making all that noise and he was just nodding and pretending to be interested in the gossip. Talking about her job at Madame Malkins was good though! He liked to know how she was doing in her first real job ever, and he admired the woman who hired her and was putting up with her quirks.

Actually. Maybe he should go there personally and thank the woman. Or send her a chocolate box. Or Freya's necklace replica. Hmm. So many options.

The seventy-eight-years-old took a seat and sat back. Aaaaaaah. If only he remembered to get a cup of coffee with him.

The summer was in full swing and reading in the Prophet about the Diagon Alley's summer festival Leo decided that it was as good a time as any to pay a visit and maybe run some errands while he was at it. The dark mop haired 30's something man walked into the summer festival area in a good mood for once. It hadn't been many laughs lately. Pushing those thought's out of his mind resolutley he was about to head for the mechanical hippogriff's when he spotted a familiar face resting in a chair nearby. "Abraham!" he called out as he approached. "Lovely day for a summer festival, isn't it?"

Uh oh! A girl! Adi eyed her for a second as she sat down then looked away. Why in the world did he have to be so shy around girls? Sure, he can chatter on and on with anyone but when it came to girls in his age range he was a total looser.

And what a chatterbox she was! Not that he minded. It would be just fine if she went one, all he would have to do was listen. But at some point she would be expecting answers to something. Like right about now. Adi glanced up at her for a second or two, willing his mouth to open so he could speak. But all that came from his throat was a weird gurgle like sound, so he just resolved to taking a bite out of his sandwich, while tried to work up the courage to speak.

Finally, he spoke. "Nice to meet you, Tessa,'' Adi said, not at all looking at the girl. "Er......no thanks, I'm good. I've got turkey and avocado here.'' It was his favourite. "Oh, yeah. I'm Aditya Rehman.'' He met her eyes for a second and gave her a shy grin. "Um, you starting Hogwarts this term?"

When the boy turned down Tessa's sandwich she shrugged her shoulders and began to eat the piece she had offered to him. "I've never tried avocado on a sandwich before." Tessa commented, her mouth was still in the process of chewing her food when she said it. The eleven year old definitely needed to work some more on her eating manners.

"That's an interesting name." Tessa said after a moment. She wasn't even sure if she could pronounce it. "I bet a lot of people call you Adi. Am I right?" She stopped talking for a moment to take a drink of her apple juice. She would have preferred grape juice, but her mother wouldn't get it for her because Tessa had a problem of spilling it all over her clothes and staining them. "Can I call you A?" She asked him.

"Yes I am!" Tessa exclaimed happily when she was asked about Hogwarts. "What about you?" She asked in return. "I'm really excited to get there and explore the castle. I've heard so many stories from my parents and I want to see if it's all true!" Tessa rambled, apparently forgetting she was hungry and that she still had over half a sandwich to eat.

Walking towards the rest spot while taking the occasional sip from her iced tea, Sky spotted an empty table. She hurried towards it before anyone else could take it and sat in one of the comfy chairs sideways, taking her flip flops off and placing her feet in the chair beside her.

Ah, this was much better. Better than being on her feet all day at the Leaky. No brat following her around, strange noises or any of that nonsense. Just her, her drink, the typical fair smells, and the sun. And it was actually a rather nice day for the summer, too. Not too hot and there was a slight breeze. Perfect. It was enough to put a happy smile on her face as she sat there people watching and sipping on her tea.

Haha, that guy had just spilled some of his smoothie.

It was hopeless, he thought, as he attempted to examine the poorly scrawled map on the old and somewhat dirtied serviette. Brows knit together in confusion, Tibi glanced around at what was supposed to be the infamous Diagon Alley, the only problem was, it didn't bear any resemblance to his map. How so very awkward.

He was lost. Absolutely and utterly lost.

Realising he was becoming a bit of a nuisance by standing in peoples way, Tibi reluctantly hitched up his bag strap and meandered around in search of an empty seat. Preferably one with an umbrella perfectly positioned to shield him from the suns rays.
"Pardon, is this seat taken?" he asked, pausing beside an empty seat, a hand poised on the back of it, eager to pull it out and claim it. His European accent wasn't thick, but it was noticeable. It wasn't distinct enough for his nationality to be recognisable, but it was most certainly Eastern-ish. Tibi smiled politely, his feet were starting to get sore.

Botros turned toward the voice and a smile spread across his face at the sight of the fine librarian. "Leobald. Hello, yes, sure it is." The old man patted his colleague and friend on his shoulder and invited him to take a closer chair. "I actually came here with my granddaughter, she works here in the clothes shop and volunteered to run a contest here." He glanced around and pointed a perky blonde girl in her late teens to his friend. "I was in Egypt those last weeks, but I promised I'd come see her work." He looked back at Leobald and folded his arms on the table. "How was your summer so far?"

Claiming an empty chair Leo pulled it towards where his friend was sitting before he slouched down in it with a wide smile finding its way across his face. Abraham always knew what to say or do to make you feel welcome. Leo hoped he was like that when he reached the senior man’s grand age. Furrowing his brows he glanced over at the blond Abraham pointed out as his granddaughter. "What kind of contest is your granddaughter running?"

Egypt...Abraham had been keeping himself busy. "How was Egypt?" Leo enquired curiously as he found a more comfortable position in the chair. "Hot?" It had been very warm when he was last there visiting an aunt. Shrugging his shoulders Leo responded. "It's been an okay summer so far, good even. I’ve just been taking it easy." And sleeping badly.

Adi watched Tessa out of the corner of his eyes. Really. Didn't she know better than to talk with her mouth full? He could see her sandwich all mushed up and everything. He took a sip of his juice. "Avocado's good. Especially on sandwiches,'' he told her and wondering if she'd like to try a piece of his. "Want to try a piece?'' He said all this while looking at his juice. Why was eye contact so hard to maintain?

His name was interesting? Adi had never thought about it. "It's an Indian name,'' he told her. "My great grand parents are from India. And yes, everyone call me Adi.'' And compared to other Indian names, Adi could not be more thankful his parents chose that name for him. She waned to call him A now? Well that's unusual. "I don't mind,'' he told her with another shy smile and making eye contact for a few seconds. "What does the A in your name stand for?'' And he had another question. "Can I call you Tess?''

A the mention of Hogwarts though, Adi totally forgot his shyness and looked excitedly at Tessa. "I am too! I can't wait to cross the Lake! And the lessons! I can't wait to see what they're like!'' He grinned broadly. "What House do you want to be in?''

Ariel's face was plastered with the biggest smile anybody was likely to see that day. Yes, she was enjoying her freedom very much, but after a long while, the crowded streets and busy vendors were beginning to feel a bit overwhelming. She might as well stop to rest.

The girl took a seat and gazed around to people watch. The crowd was immense; and every body appeared to be having a good time as well. She smiled to herself. Good, she was glad everybody was enjoy themselves. She only wished her father could have come with her to her Aunt's house, even if only for a few hours. She could have even brought him here to show him around.

But no, she knew he couldn't. He was an awfully busy man, after all, and there was no sense in her wishing he had more time off. He had a country to run, practically. Besides, soon enough she'd be off at school and making friends of her own. That would be nice.

"Sure!" Tessa smiled. Why not try it? Surely if her new friend enjoyed it so much, she could give it a try too.

Tessa tried to listen and not interrupt A as he was speaking. It was a surprisingly very VERY difficult task for the eleven year old girl. "Are you from India?" Tessa just had to ask. She hadn't been that far from London area, or at least that she could remember. India sounded like it might be a cool place to visit, or even live.

"The A stands for Anne. I don't really like Anne, so I leave it out and just say the A. I think it sounds a lot better to say Tessa A. Hart instead of Tessa Anne Hart. What do you think?" Tessa asked, though she probably wasn't going to change how she introduced herself to people just because of A's opinion of her full name. She was curious though to see what he thought. She just hated Anne.

When A asked if he could call her Tess, Tessa wrinkled her nose in response. "Sorry." She said. "I don't like the name Tess. There was a girl I went to school with a long time ago and her name was Tess and she used to always tell me I was copying her because I was Tessa." The girl explained as she picked the crust off of her sandwich. "But you can me T if you'd like." She added on, hoping she hadn't crushed his dreams or anything.

"The lake! I almost forgot about crossing the lake!" Tessa exclaimed, her down in the dumps mood talking about Tess from a 'long time ago' like a year ago, really changed dramatically with the talk about Hogwarts. "We should try to get into the same boat and cross together." Tessa offered. There was a pause so that she could catch her breath. "I think I'll be a Gryffindor. I don't really think I would be placed in the others." Tessa said shrugging her shoulders. Gryffindor was the best, she had determined.

Adi was happy he had someone to share with. This girl had become his first friend in the Wizarding World. He really wanted to tell her but his mouth would not open to say the words. For the millionth time, he silently hated his shyness. He handed over a piece of his sandwich, hoping she would like it.

Adi shook his head as he took another sip of his juice. "Nope. I was born here in London. My great grandparents came here to make a better life for themselves and since then they've lived here.'' He had never been to India but would like to go there sometime. "Enough about me,'' the boy added, still not looking at his new friend. "Tell me about you.''

"Why wouldn't she like Anne?'' he wondered. He cleared his throat. "I think Anne is a really nice name,'' he said aloud, nodding and forcing himself to look at Tessa. Yes. Anne was a pretty name. And so was Tess! He supposed he would just call her Tessa then. But then- "That sounds cool! T it is.'' He grinned. He had never addressed someone by a letter before nor had someone done that with him.

When she mentioned they should cross the Lake in the same boat, Adi grinned shyly and looked away. He had never really this long with a girl. His shyness always made him hide away from them. Yet here he was talking to T. Adi was still uncomfortable but maybe he would get used to her soon? But now he nodded. "Yes, we can cross together. Maybe I'll see you on the train, too?'' He paused, took a bit of his sandwich and chewed. "My mom was a Gryffindor,'' Adi told T. "I'm not sure which House I'll get into, but I don't really mind which.''

Avocado was good on sandwiches, Tessa had decided. "That's good!" Tessa exclaimed to her friend. "Thanks for letting me try it." Tessa remembered. She was normally very good about thanking people, but sometimes excitement just got in the way too much for her to bother.

Tessa shrugged her shoulders. "What do you want to know?" She asked. "I'm from London too. I have a twin brother, Lewis M. Hart. He'll try telling you that he was born first...but he's wrong." But actually, he would be right. Tessa just never liked the fact that Lewis was technically the older of the two Hart children.

Tessa's throat felt scratchy, she took a drink of her juice hoping it would help. It didn't. It was almost like her throat was closing up. Trying to play cool, Tessa shrugged her shoulders. "I dunno. I just never liked Anne." She said simply. Talking was starting to get hard.

Was her forehead burning now? What was going on? She was perfectly fine this morning when she left home with her family.

Trying to focus on their conversation on Hogwarts, Tessa tried her hardest to speak. All she could do was nod her head. "I...." she paused, trying to breath. "Don't feel good." She finally got out.

WAS SHE ALLERGIC, OR SOMETHING?

Henry had been waiting for a moment, just innocently minding his own business, when the opportunity struck. Quick as a flash, with nimble little fingers, he dipped into the man's pocket and took his wallet.

And then he darted off.

... but not before he'd sneakily taken the bigger girl's necklace and disappeared in the crowd.

With an air of annoyance and bitterness, Aidan wove his way through the crowd to a table. As he walked, he ripped into his hamburger, biting off more than he could chew, but he felt it looked manly to take such big bites. And at the moment, he was desperate to show the world he wasn't the wimp Lottie had just made him out to look like.

He threw himself into a chair and took another large bite. "So," he said, chewing, "Now you've got that out of your system..." He looked at her expectantly. What did she want?

Excuse us. Lottie was trying so, so hard not to keep on laughing. And really, she hadn't intended for this to happen, but the moment she saw that Kidsville thing, she couldn't help herself. It would've been incredibly amusing AND FUN, had Aidan been in a better mood.

The boy ended up winning, since she bought him food, after all. He was easy to cheer up, right? Hopefully. Her true intention hadn't been to annoy him. For real? Well, who cares?

Drop the attitude, Stone. It's such a nice day. "I couldn't help myself, it was fun!" she said, sitting next to him, a smirk on her face. The smirk faded into a nice smile, though. "You would've looked adorable with the little kids." Truth. Or really not, but it was still funny. "Plus, you have a bright future in arts and crafts, might as well start now." Now, we all know she's kidding about this. His future is in Quidditch, where the requirements do not include 'well-spoken'.
