Decidedly keeping quiet about the other orchids, Jake nodded his head. "Not really shopping either, just... scouting about," he explained, rubbing the back of his neck. "Lawson came along... he said he wants to meet me in the Leaky Cauldron later," Jake went on, dropping his hand and fiddling with a loose thread on his shirt.

Chris listened as LouAnn explained her thoughts on where her and her brother would end up, house-wise at Hogwarts. "Well Hufflepuff wouldn't be bad but everyone knows Gryffindor is the best." he joked with a smile.

"I know right. There are alot of fifteen year olds, must be like some type of baby boom. All of us born at the same time." he shrugged. He liked alot of his classmates. It was cool that alot of them were his age.

Chris then watched with satisfaction as his...amazingly awesome discription of Hogwarts took over LouAnn's imagination. "You bet, yor tour guide at your service whenever you're ready." he said doing a mock bow.

Just as he finished his little explanination he felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and saw a little girl she had to be a first year, after she asked her question he knew she was. 'Well, well are my stories just that intersting that strangers on the street want to hear them?' He joked to himself in his head. Putting aside his little joke he smiled at the girl and at Louanna and the turned back tot he firstie, as she was definately a little nervous about the idea of moving stairs. "Don't worry. They don't move too fast. Besides if they ever move and you are trying to go the other direction they move back. it doesn't take long. No reason to worry!" he smiled brightly.

After LouAnn introduced herself he decided to do the same. He stuck out his hand to the little girl he just talked to and said. "Im Chris Potter, what's your name?"

LouAnn laughed lightly when Chris said Gryffindor was the best of the four houses. Of course he felt that way, as Gryffindor was the house he'd been sorted into. LouAnn imagined that everyone felt a great deal of house pride, especially during the Quidditch matches. "So, tell me about Quidditch. Mum and Dad said all four houses have a team, and that everyone gets really excited about the games," she said with a smile. She'd played Quidditch at one of her old schools, but she still wasn't too sure she wanted to try out while at Hogwarts. Being on the Quidditch team was fun, but it'd taken up a lot of time, too.

"Oh, awesome! My own personal tour guide. I'll hold you to that, you know," she said, smiling as she said that. "I'm sure it won't be too difficult to find my way around, but you never know. As long as I know where my Common Room is, I'm sure I'll be okay." She listened while he discussed the moving staircases with Zoe. They seemed hard to navigate, but according to Chris, they weren't so bad. "Oh, well that doesn't sound too hard then," she commented. She glanced around at the nearby shops, her eyes falling on Eeylop's Owl Emporium. "Hey, do you guys have owls? I have a snowy white owl named Lilac. Oh, and I have a black cat named Violet, too." LouAnn's Mum and Dad had bought the pets for her a few weeks ago so she'd have them when she went to Hogwarts. She'd thought naming them Lilac Purple and Violet Purple would be sort of appropriate, even if neither were even close to being purple in color.

"That maybe, but in the end, I always get my way and you know." she told him. He tries to play their parents against each other, but Dani learned to just agree.

"That's only 'cause you are a suck up." She always had been the goody two shoes of the family. She hardly ever even got in trouble. And of course he did 'cause she would rat on him.

And that is the comment that lite the light bulb in Dani's brain. "I have a deal for you. And it is one that you can't pass up." she told him. He was so going to like this Idea.... Maybe.

Okay, so he never expected her to say something like this. And he wasn't sure that he would like what she had to say. On the other hand.. he wanted to hear her out. "I'm listening." he said slowly.

"Oh my name is Zoe DeValk. My parents both went to Hogwart's, but they won't answer my questions about it" she said quickly looking back and forth between Chris and LouAnn apprehensively.

Zoe still couldn't understand why her parents wanted her to experience Hogwart’s for the first time with virgin eyes. Wasn’t it their duty as parents to prepare her as much as possible! Well at least there were nice people on the streets that could feed her curiosity. That curiosity was overriding her anxiety and all of the questions she had tried to ask her parents during the last couple of months started to try to claw their way out. She had to take a deep breath in order to regain control of herself. She didn’t want to scare the new people off before she found out more after all, or appear rude and annoying.

LouAnn was asking Chris about Quidditch. Zoe had always liked the game, but she could never feel completely loyal to one team over another so her attention waned.

With an excited glint in her eye she asked Chris, “Are there other things that someone new to Hogwart’s should know?” Then in the next breath she turned to LouAnn and asked, “Wow, you’re new too? Where did you transfer from? Are you as nervous as I am? My mum promised that we could get an owl today. Do you have any suggestions for which kind might be best?”

"Yes. Yes, I think that might work." she said to herself. She then looked at her brother in the eye. She waited a few seconds. "Here is the deal. You help me make friends. And any trouble that you get into the term at school, I will not mention to mum and dad." she suggested to him.

He narrowed her eyes at her. It was a very good deal. One he wanted to take. But he wanted to make sure that she would stick to it. "You seriously promise me this? I could burn down the Whomping Willow and you wouldn't tell on me?"

He has no faith. Dani stuck her hand out. "I promise on my collection of Greek Mythology books. You could burn down the Forbidden Forest and I would not say a thing." she told him. With her promising on her book that was a huge thing.

Well, that cleared things up. She only ever swore on her collection of Greek mythology if she was serious. It was her most prized possession, that collection. "Deal!"

Dani smile at her brother. "Deal." she agreed. She looked up and down the street at all the kids. Wow. Overwhelming. "So, where do we start?" she asked him.

Okay, it was time for the lesson to begin. He sudden;y adopted a formal tone. Got into the role of a teacher. "Lesson number one: When wanting to meet new friends, don't let the fear of rejection get to you. No one wants to be friends with someone like that."

Dani started to laugh at Torins "formal tone". She nodded at his instruction. "I think I can do that." she told him. She was so going to try. It don't hurt to try.

Aaron still pulling Iris' hand ran onto the bumpy cobblestone path immediately twisted his ankle because he majorly underestimated the bumpiness. Because he's such a clutz, he fell down onto his back and pulled Iris down with him. With Iris now on top of Iris, he started laughing hysterically. "*HAHAHA* Please get off me. *HAHA*"

"Good," he said nodding slowly. If she listened to all he ad to say here she would have friends in no time. "Lesson two: Venture outside more. A lot of people hang outside at school."

Blushing furiously when she found herself on the cobbled floor on top of Aaron, Iris quickly got off him with out him needing to ask twice. She stood up and held her hand out to Aaron (whilst wondering if it was still safe to do so with out her ending on the floor with him again) so she could help him up to. "You said that as if I chose to fall on you." she said though giggles as she dusted her skirt off.

Tavelon navigated his way through the busy streets, ducking through the crowds. Being 11 did have it's advantages that way. He avoided a couple unidentifiable messes on the pavement and tried to break through the crownd towards Florean's

Dani thought about that for a few minutes. "I can do that to." she said. She added that to her memory.

Okay, good. That was lesson two down. And the basic groundwork was getting covered. "Lesson three: smile more often and strike up conversations. People who seem shy and awkward put others off."

Aaron still was laughing and grabbed her hand. He really wanted to pull her down again, but he let her help him up. He held her hand for about a second more, looked in her eyes, and then immediately let go and started brushing himself off. Nervous as heck, he continued, "Yeah...*cough*... Um... Let's go." He then continued walking slowly down the street.

"Ok. I can to that." she told him. She thought for a second. "What if I run into someone? I know apologize, but what else?" she was curious about it.

Asking questions was good. "That brings me to Lesson Four: Always be open to starting a conversation with someone. Unless they look like they will punch them if you bug them. Or something."
