September meant that Morzella O'Niel's mother's birthday was on the horizon and what did one get for a woman for her birthday? Something to make her feel younger, of course! While Mozzie herself had never before shopped here (a muggle born such as she tended to stay with drug store cosmetics - she was certain she wasn't going to find any Blackest Black Eyeliner here, after all) she was sure that she could find something for her mother.

Browsing through the store, her eyes fell over all sorts of magic creams - for blemishes, for moderate to serious to hag-worthy acne; to wart removal; to wrinkle reducers... There were little boxes that promised to do all sorts of things that Mozzie hadn't ever dreamt of - not that a woman of twenty-five needed much to worry about her appearance, though.

It was the hair products she stopped at. Mozzie's own hair was choppy and at all sorts of lengths, sticking out in various directions and angles, with clips and ribbons in it. Her mother, though, prided herself on her hair in a different way, and it was Sal Sylvers Smooth'n Shine that caught her attention. A cream that was supposed to boost the shine and smoothness of hair... hah...

Maybe she'd take two...

Carrying the two creams to the front, she smiled at the woman, nodding yes to the special gift wrap (she'd give the other one to herself lafter) and paid up, before heading back to the Leaky Cauldron.

Macadrian Shackleton entered Madam Primpernelle's with a purpose. She was one woman on a mission to obtain the best shampoo her galleons could buy. Making a beeline to the haircare section, Macadrian eyed the shelves for the purple bottle she knew so well. She'd nearly had an aneurysm a few months back when there was a rumor spreading that the company who manufactured her favorite shampoo and conditioner might be discontinuing this line of products. She'd immediately sent a letter to the company's president seeking reassurance that the rumors were false. Thank Merlin it was confirmed as untrue!

Grabbing four bottles of shampoo and four of the conditioner, enough to last her throughout the term (at least she hoped), Macadrian scurried over to the counter so she didn't drop her items. Quickly digging into her dangling lavender wristlet, Macadrian produced the galleons required to purchase her items. Accepting her change and the bagged items from the clerk, Macadrian made her way to the door and back onto the Street.

She need to stock up on her face wash. She walked into the shop and looked around. It was very pretty on the inside and she soon lost herself in reading some of the labels.

Escaping the vigorous buzzing of the crowded street, a blonde-haired seventeen year old entered Madame Primpernelle’s Beautifying Potions without any hesitation whatsoever. Seth Paton was on an extremely crucial mission, and this little visit to Madame Primpernelle’s had been planned just days before the summer holiday ended. Italy and California, by all means, were great vacation spots, but the places he had been for hair products were nothing compared to the life-saving shop down at 275 Diagon Alley. As this was quite a mission after having a summer wasted on foreign hair products and the like, it was time to spend galleons on beautifying products rather than hideous textbooks. Who would want to buy textbooks anyway?

Anyone that had lost his or her mind, would be the answer to that question. Duh! Clearly, Miss Bookworm — that would be Elizabeth Andrews, a seventh year Ravenclaw, for those of you who didn’t know that — had certainly lost her mind. Whatever flies her broomstick, then….

To his slight displeasure, Seth, who knew exactly what he was looking for, had to walk right past What’s-Her-Face Greenwood — whom seemed to be lost within the writing on some of the rather attention-catching labels. Although he did not know the Slytherin girl (which, he hoped, wouldn’t change for a long time) that well at all, he was quite surprised that she could actually read. Either she was really reading, or she was a good actor. Either way, he had to give her some props, as she was one of the many wise customers who shopped at Madame Primpernelle’s.

Reaching out for a bottle of Sleekeazy’s Hair Potion, the Hufflepuff male simply let a childish smile appear on his face. If you know anything about this Paton, having well-groomed hair was everything to him. And by everything, I mean everything. With the lack of this stuff during his little trips to Italy and California during the holiday, this very moment with Sleekeazy’s right in his hand was like an early Christmas or a fairly late birthday gift. It was, by far, better than the useless Francesco Tschurtschenthaler’s High ’n Mighty Hair Gel for the Exquisite Wizard or the random hair product he had “accidentally” taken from Asteira back in California.

Overall, it was great being back with a bottle which easily changed to several bottles of Sleekeazy’s in his hand!

Jake needed to sort his hair out. It wasn't a want, it was a desperate need, a must. He couldn't exactly walk around with PINK hair for the next two years, right? Right!

Heading straight for the hair care things, Jake doubted very much he would find anything that would help him. Nobody knew what spell his little brother had done to turn his longish hair bright pink, or what the potion was his older brother then stupidly washed it in. People were idiots.

Shaking his shaggy PINK hair over his face, Jake searched and searched for any de-pinker thing, but there was nothing. He found some Sleekeazy which would work GREAT on his curly hair so he bought some but nothing to do with what he wanted.

Of course, Jake had now ventured into the depths of the store, and getting out would been being seen by one of the few people here. Oh WHY was this store so empty?!

Melanie walked into the store out of curiosity. She continued to act as if she was walking on sunshine, but had well... sorta made the decision to stop skipping after she'd plowed into the boy on the alley. On top of that she was now in a room filled with magical beauty products, many inside delicate glass bottles that she was positive would topple over if she skipped around the store.

Eagerly she looked around the room, interested by a few of the products such as 'Hattie's hat hair solution' (currenly she had a black and red baseball cap sitting on her head) and amused by others...

Most the people gathered in the shop were woman like professer Shakleton or students,but as far as Melanie could see they were all girls. She didn't catch sight of any of her friends though which was more than a bit dissapointing. Melanie started toward the door, desiding it was about time to get out of there, but stopped in her tracks, jaw dropping as she caught sight of a familiar face.

"JAKE!?" she yelped, jumping back.

Paris Hill tentatively wandered into The Beautifying Store, no she didn't necessarily need it, she was pretty enough. But what could it hurt, right? She smiled as the browsed the rows. She passed by wart creams and zip zappers, but since she had clear skin, those wouldn't be needed.

Walking further yet, she found the hair care. Perfect! She could always magic her hair to being perfect in the morning but why rely so heavily on magic? Paris picked up a box of hair color, in case she needed it, and a set of shampoo and conditioner, bound to make her hair luscious and shiny.

On her way to pay, she found a new lip gloss she was dying to try and a mascara guaranteed to make her lashes look so much longer. With a grin, Paris paid for her purchases and headed back out onto the streets.

What the-?!

Jumping about a foot in the air and spinning around, Jake clamped both hands on top of his head and eyed the girl he recognised to be Melanie. "Oh... hiiiiii..." he smiled awkwardly, freezing in the act of trying to hide his PINK hair. Was it pointless? The mass was thick enough... "Erm... what brings you here?" he asked in an attempt for some normality.

Erm...

Blink.Blink.
Melanie's mouth gaped open,but then she forced herself to close it only to have it flop open again.She wasn't talking and let me tell you Melanie Lockhart speechless was litte to say a very very rare thing. Thoughts wildly coursed through her head as she stared at the top of his head which of all the wretched colors of the universe was bright PINK.There were three possibilities:
a.) He'd decided to join a punk rock band.
b.) He'd gone mad over summer break.
c.) Jake had fallen madly in love with Anastacia Bunbury.Emphasis on the word madly.
As the amount of shock slowly decreased she felt a mix of distaste and amusement slowly take it's place as well as pity.She could tell he was attempting to hide his hair and not so sucessfully either. "Hey!"Melanie replied,smiling madly,but trying to keep the amusement out of her expression."Just curious."she answered innocently."Want this?"Melanie asked tugging the baseball cap off her head,and offering it to him."What happened?"please not C..

Eyes going wide as he stared at the hat that was being offered, Jake reached out and took it, jamming in on top of his head. But his stupid hair was so long now it could easily be seen. GRRRRR!!!!!

"Thanks," he mumbled, fiddling with the cap. "Well... it kinda really sucks... my little brother... half-brother... Dale, he got hold of my wand and turned my hair pink somehow, and instead of telling my dad, my older brother... step-brother... tried to wash it away with some potion. He couldn't magic it because he doesn't do magic," Jake added, rolling his eyes a tad. Ryan was cool, but such an idiot at times. "My dad said it'll take, like, 2 years for it to wear off... we went to St. Mungos and everything for some reason..."

Oh, school was going to be awfullllll with his hair. "So yeah... it was... eventful," Jake fiddled with the earring in his right ear that he pierced himself the day before the incident. He probably looked like a right rebel.

Melanie nodded, listening intently to every word he said, with a slightly amused look on her face as well as a happy one. Despite the fact he was talking about a rather unlucky incident he didn't seem to mind talking about him and his step-brothers and they sounded kinda cool. "Take it you like it there?" she asked, sorta hoping for a good answer from him...that he'd gotten along with his dad or something... "Your younger step-brother sounds cute." she said truthfully. And in a way from what he said the older one reminded her if Alec. But maybe that was simply because he was a muggle too. "And it sounds eventful." she agreed, bobbing her head up and down, with a huge smile on her face.

TWO YEARS?! Poor Jake. Melanie couldn't help, but feel bad for him. She didn't exactly like the color...at all and didn't see how anyone could manage to have pink hair for that long. "That does stink." she agreed, trying to sound solemn. Trying very very hard.

Okay so it was getting sorta hard not to laugh... PINK HAIR! PINK! LONG FREAKIN' PINK HAIR ON HIS HEAD!!! Melanie fought the urge to giggle and glanced the other way. Trying to be nice, she bit her lip. She didn't need him mad at her...not for something as silly as laughing at his pink hair.

Pink.

Melanie tried not to listen to her laughing thoughts. Lucky thoughts they were, being able to laugh even if it was only inside her head...Stupid thoughts. Why did laughter need to be so darn contagious...?

Melanie let out a soft giggle as it reached her lips, unable to contain it, but then the traitorous little thing turnt into a fit of giggles. Melanie spun around, shoving her fist in her mouth to put a stopper on her laughter, feeling awful and amused at the same time. After a seconds it slowed down and she looked back around at him.

Oh Merlin...

"Sorry..." she apologized. "I didn't mean to laugh...I was trying hard not to...It's just...Sorry. I don't really think it's that funny honestly..." she rambled, looking down at her shoes, which weren't as interesting as she seemingly made them out to be. They were pretty awesome though the ones Shana had given her at the end of last year. Huffie Yellow.

"Sorry." she repeated again.

Melanie eyed him guiltily. She never seemed able to hide much of anything including her emotions and this just wasn't good luck. Melanie noted the earing dangling from his right ear he was fiddling with and a pondering look overtook her face. So maybe she couldn't rule out option letter A just yet...?

Asteira had came to visit her friends for a little bit of time before having to go back to France. They could have some fun still, their was still time. She was wearing a Mr. Perfect shirt that she hadnt stolen from some one and some jean shorts. She had her hands in her back pockets as she spotted him looking at some sort of liquid in a bottle. Who knew what seth would pick out at a shop. She smiled as she was pretty much bouncing her way over to him. She was being rather quiet so that she could sneak up behind him. She put her hands over his eyes for a few seconds as she then ruffled them through his hair. Something she knew he loved oh so much.

"Guess who?" she told him as she moved to stand beside him. She leaned over to the left a little so she could see him a little better."Hi there." she told him as she smiled at him. She was bouncing in her spot with her excitement at seeing him again. She should of spent more time with him at the beach, but she loved the water a lot."what are you buying?" she looked at what he was looking at. Looked a little interesting.

Autumn wandered down the streets of Diagon Alley for the first time. Excited. It was an understatement. She peeked into the shop windows as she walked by, stopping at a newer looking one. Madam Primpernelle's Beautifying Potions, she read silently. It looks so pretty... Just then she caught sight of someone she never would have expected to be in a beauty shop, Melanie Lockhart.

Autumn flew into the shop, leaving the little gold bell ringing loudly. "Hey!!! Melaniiiiie!" Autumn quickly enveloped her older cousin in a hug. "Hey, Melanie! I just got hear! My mum just dropped me off!" Autumn took a breath and looked around at her surroundings. "I'm so excited! And er... what are you doing here?" ...

Anna narrowed her eyes in thought as she strolled down the streets just outside Madam Primpernelle's. She'd actually never been in the shop, and that was due mainly in part to the fact that nothing was sold in that shop that Anna thought she might be interested in. That had been when she was a kid, though. Now, at age seventeen, Anna was actually considering going inside and taking a look around. Looking around couldn't hurt, right? With that thought in mind, Anna pushed open the door to the shop and continued on inside.

Milly walked into Madam Primpernelle's and stood just infrontthe doorway,she glanced around the room.She galnced around the room and her eyes were attracted to a boy with bright pink hair.Why on earth did he have pink hair ? She shrugged and began to walk over to him.She noticed a girl standing next to him and smiled at them both.Umm Hi ?

Shana walked threw the doors of Madam Primpernelle's and looked around the room.She saw Mel,and she ought to go talk to her but she was with Jake,so that was a no,Wait- Jake had pink hair ? She blinked and carried on glancing around the room.

Sarah got into the Madam Primpernelle's Beautifying Potions. She was here at Diagon Alley for the first time and also to this shop. She was about to start this year at Hogwarts. She wasn't intending to get anything but her curiosity was at its peak. She wanted to know what was inside the shop. She'd been visiting most of the shops at Diagon Alley and this one had caught her eye.

Spotting a display of nearby Wonder Witch products, Anna headed over and began looking at the lotions, shampoos, and conditioners the store had in stock. Seeing the Wonder Witch hair mousse made her think of Cale, and in doing so, she immediately smiled. A flash of nearby pink caught her eye, and Anna glanced over to see Jake, who'd apparently dyed his hair pink, chatting with Melanie nearby. Anna smiled at both and headed over. She didn't know them well, but she did remember Jake from seeing him around with Reese, and she'd seen Melanie at one of the Quidditch games last school year.

"Love the hair, Jake," Anna said, walking up and joining the group. "Good to see you...and Melanie." Anna glanced at the girl standing near them, deciding that she didn't believe she knew her. "I'm Anna. Will you be going to Hogwarts this school year?"

Wow. Madam Primpernelle's was starting to be quite the popular place. When the door to the shop opened once again, Anna looked up to see yet another unfamiliar face. "Hogwarts must really be getting an awesome bunch of newcomers this year," she thought to herself. Anna smiled at the girl and greeted her with a polite "Hello."

Malfalda walked in and ran over to a crowd of Gryffindors."Hi,I'm Malfalda Marlowe,first year Gryffindor."she said proudly

"Hey, Malfalda," Anna said, smiling at the young girl who'd joined them in the shop. Yes, indeed, Madam Primpernelle's seemed like the popular place to be. The Wonder Witch products could wait until later. There were far too many people to meet and greet at the moment to worry about hair products. "I'm Anna Greingoth, the female Gryffindor prefect, as well as the Head Girl. I'm really happy to meet another Gryffindor. It's really an awesome house to be in," she said. Anna took note of the way the girl seemed really proud to be in Gryffindor. "Are you excited about starting school?" she asked.

Sarah looked up as she heard a voice. She saw a girl, she looked much older than Sarah and she was addressing her. Sarah smiled, "Hi, am Sarah James." she said extending her hand forwards. "You seem to be much older than me?" she said while looking at her more closely.

Anna smiled once again when she saw Sarah's friendly, smiling face. It was really pleasing to see so many new people who were willing to be as friendly as possible and really get to know the other students. "Nice to meet you, Sarah. I'm Anna Greingoth, and yes, I do seem to be a bit older than you," she said. "This next school year will be my seventh and final year at Hogwarts. I'm sort of sad, but mostly I'm really excited. I have lots of plans for the future. Anyway, what year will you be in?" Judging by the little girl's size, Anna thought she was probably a first year...maybe a second year.

Trixie eagerly clambered into Madam Primpernelle's Beautifying Potions. She really wanted to take a look around here. It was stocked with amazing little bottles of pink and purle lquids-mainly. But there were other colours too. She then saw a binch of kids gathered together. Shyly she walked up to them and said "Hi I'm Trixie!".

When yet another unfamiliar face joined the ever-growing crowd, Anna turned to see a girl who had to be a few years younger than her. As a matter of fact, Anna would guess that this young one was an incoming first year, just like Sarah. "Hey, Trixie! It's awesome to meet you!" Anna greeted. "I'm Anna Greingoth, a seventh year Gryffindor at Hogwarts. Will you be going to school here this upcoming school year?" Anna watched the crowd of students grow more and more. "Wow. I came in here expecting to get some shampoo, conditioner, and mousse from the Wonder Witch line, but I think it was my lucky day as far as meeting new friends," Anna continued. "At the rate we're going, this shop will be packed any minute now!"
