Hello all, young and elder, to Madame Malkin's! My name is Miss Gilroy, and I am the sole owner of this quaint shop. It was left in my care, passed onto me from my dear friend - Miss Shannings. I'm extremely protective of my store and everything in it! Don't be tramping in here unless you want to buy something and certainly pick up items left on the floor! Conversations can be held out in the streets or in the lovely Leaky Cauldron across the street - I recommend the butterbeer! Feel free to browse, though, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to ask. I, as well as my assistant, am here to help you with your clothing selections and needs for the upcoming school year and any other occasion!

You all know of the infamous stock of this shop, so it shouldn't be a great surprise that we have everything your fashion sense could desire. We have everything from school robes to dress robes to house-colored scarves. So come on in! Look around, but be careful to mind the garments flying to and fro. Magic is a seamstresses best friend, you know.


The door of Madame Malkin's has a sign on it, the sign says no living things other than humans are allowed in. This is a strictly "No Pets Allowed!" shop, as animals can leave a mess - Miss Gilroy is extremely careful in keeping the store clean and orderly. Pets don't help this - leave them outside in the streets for a few minutes or with a trusted friend. As you walk into Madame Malkin's you immediately see racks of robes until the back of the shop. If you work your way through the school robes right in front of the door, you see all sorts of robes, hats, and other merchandise in many colors and sizes for all your Hogwarts needs. And there is a room, off to the left of the door, that has all non-school items, as well as dress robes for every occasion.

OOC: Hello everyone! My assistant and I are extremely busy with school right now, but we're trying our best to get on SS as much as possible to answer your posts because we love the DA and RPing. However, I don't want any of you to have to wait around for my assistant --- [---] or myself [Pandalicious] to answer you. If we don't respond to your post in a day or two, feel free to just RP giving my character or ---'s character the correct amount of money for your items. DO NOT under any circumstances RP my character or ---'s; that is not cool and just not right. Also, please don't clutter up the thread with chit-chat between characters. The street and The Leaky Cauldron are great places for your characters to talk with your friends - it also makes it hard for us as shopkeeper and assistant to sort out posts we need to respond to with idle talking. Jayne walked into the shop "Can i have one of everything please?" she asked

Jessica walked in and noticed a girl was already there, so she patiently waited for her turn. She really needed new robes, because she had grown so much since the previous year!

Jayne turned around "Hi" she said to a Hufflepuff that was a year above her "I'm Jayne, i think you know my sister, Rebecca, she graduated" Jayne smiled

Miss Gilroy bustled into her shop, strawberry-blonde hair flying behind her and a cup of strong hot coffee held in her right hand. Hurridly she set her coffee down on her desk and flicked her wand so that the word OPEN was lit up in big, bold letters on the front door.

"Ahh, excellent, excellent." Miss Gilroy muttered to herself, eyeing the neat and tidy shop. She'd hired a new assistant and (hopefully) the girl would be on time. Or better yet, polite and well-mannered.

The door bell chimed and Miss Gilroy looked up to her first customer. "Hello there deary." She said sweetly, "One of everything? Of course, of course. Come this way." Miss Gilroy, took the girl to her measuring stool and took down her height and so on and so forth.

Flicking her wand, the items immedieatly zoomed into her outstretched hands. "Ahh that will do." Miss Gilroy muttered, folding each item carefully and sliding everything into two, well-stuffed Madam Malkins bags.

"Eleven galleons and fifteen sickles, m'dear." She said with a smile.


"Hello there! How might I help you today?" Miss Gilroy asked the second student standing in line.

"Hello! Yes, I do know Rebecca. How is she?" Jessica asked. "Nice to meet you, Jayne! I'm Jessica Mayer, and it looks like we're housemates!" the girl added smiling.


"Hello, I would like to buy some school robes and dress robes as well." Jess said politely to the shopkeeper.

This time she needed some dress robes, and since her cloak sort of burned, she needed one of them as well. She sighed as she walked inside, the only good thing is that she didn't need any new robes, yet.

"Hi there Jessica!" Kaika greeted her housemate and looked at the shopkeeper, "Hi! I will need a dress robe and a cloak too" she said, looking around.

Walking into the shop, Liz takes out her list as she comes up to the counter, waiting to be noticed.

Jess turned around when she heard her name, and recognised Kaika's voice.
"Hi! How are you? Need some robes as well?" the girl said.
It was a great joy for her whenever she returned from a holiday and met her friends and housemates again.

Kaika smiled, "I'm doing good" she said, and nodded, "Yep, third years don't need a dress robe, but fourth's do, and I'm in fourth already" it was a bit unsettling to see how the time really flew by, and now she was already in her fourth year at Hogwarts. Creepy.

"Fourth year already...and I'm in the fifth. It's so awkward, because it seems that only yesterday I was a firstie. I miss being so young and without any worries!" Jess said.
"So how was your holiday? Where did you go?" the girl asked.

"I know, I can't believe that the time is going by us so fast, sooner than we think we'll be in our jobs" she shuddered at the thought, she liked being a student for the moment.

"Romania, to visit my uncle and cousins, it was pretty fun, until one of my cousins broke my broom" she said, her face saddened for a moment but she smiled again, "It's alright, I'm getting a new one....and how about you?" she asked.

Livvy peered in and walked in quietly. She glanced at her list and scratched her hair as she thought of what to buy. School robes definitely... a cloak maybe... a hat... and a scarf, Livvy thought as she waited for the owner to come to her.

Jayne handed the lady twelve galleons smiled warmly at her

Turning back to Jessica, Jayne turned her head to one side "Well, Rebecca is doing well actually, she's the Division head of four Divisions in the ministry" Jayne sighed

Jayne jumped as another Hufflepuff appeared "Hi Kaika!" Jayne suddenly stopped talking as she realised Kaika didn't know her

Jayne watched as Jessica engaged in conversation

Jayne suddenly decided to talk again "I'm in fourth year too"

Jayne listened intently to Jessica and Kaika's conversation

Jayne grinned "I love Romania!" She realised she'd spoken without thinking "Erm, Rebecca took me and my family to Romania" she explained

"Three sets of plain work robes (black),One plain pointed hat (black) for day wear, One winter cloak (black with silver fastenings)"She said to the lady and grinned."Oh and some gloves and a yellow and black scarf please.

Madison Andrea Bailey ran out of the back room of Madame Malkin's. Holy hippogriffs! Since when did Miss Gilroy open up the place so soon? Arg. If only she had told her sooner that it was the time to open up and get to work. She shrugged and walked toward the front counter, being closely followed by all sorts of measurement tools. Ahh! This was so exciting! And a lot of costumers where there too....

She put on a happy, cheerful smile and said, "I can help anyone over here; Miss Gilroy isn't the only one running the shop here." She giggled quietly to herself and waited for some of the cute child to come waltzing their way over to her. They're so cute! I swear on Merlin's beard that I could just squeeze one of their little cheeks.

Heading toward the lady that came from the back room, Liz hesitates a little, but remembers her robes are horribly short, and needed new ones.

Livvy walked up too after another girl, and smiled at both of them. "Uh... I need school robes... a hat... a cloak... and a scarf, shall do. Thanks," she said to the woman. Livvy glanced back at her list and glanced at her muggle watch.

Stepping back to let the young girl go first. Liz waits for her turn, seeing that she seemed to be in a hurry.
