This here area holds the books too delicate for the main shelves, possibly ratty first editions, maybe some super rare books. Also, in the special area we have books of more sensitive materials that we don’t want falling into the hands of innocent young wizards; basically, dark arts. Do not enter here without permission from the shopkeeper, which you can get by enquiring at the Counter. OOC :: You know the drill; keep out unless you have, at the VERY least, OOC permission from me. IC permission comes with OOC permission automatically.

Having left the Leaky Cauldron courtyard, Daniel had accompanied Milo and Tiggy a little of the way down the street and to his shop. After unlocking the place with a key (he was old skool), the young man wedged the door open and led the way through the shop.
"I'll take you to the special area; we have, in my opinion, the best books there," he told them, and took the couple through to a closed off section which was rather spacious. "Take a look!"

It was like a choir of angels descended as soon as Tiggy saw the books. She put her hand over her heart and said, "This is the most be-beautiful thing I have ever seen." She took a few steps toward a shelf nearest her and let her fingers rest on the spine of a rather fragile looking tome. She smiled brightly and took a deep breath, smelling the BOOKS! It was like a security blanket to her.
She turned to face Daniel and Milo and smiled. "I think I might have died and gone to Heaven," she said with a dreamy quality to her voice.

Milo chuckled, as he followed behind his wife. She was cute sometimes. This being one of those times. He patted his pocket with his hand. It jangled slightly. That meant he had money. She could have one.
"So I am in your vision of Heaven then?" he smiled, leaning against the doorframe. He didn't want to enter the room fully. He would probably get slapped for accidentally breaking something.

"This is my favourite part of the store... I don't really let kids back here unless I really need to," Daniel revealed, looking slightly sheepish. He didn't mean to make it sound like he hated kids... but he'd had some clumsy people in the shop.
It was... scary. Some of these books were so old he wouldn't have been surprised if they'd caught fire when being slid out of the shelves.
Them disintegrating was more likely, however.
When Milo spoke, Daniel couldn't help but snort in laughter; not out of mockery, but because it was... well... funny. "Nice one."

" Children are the worst at touching ancient books with filthy little hands. They need to be sanatized before coming into a place like this," she said in all seriousness. This was coming from a woman that was adopting children. Hehe. She would NOT be letting the twins near her study until they got past the stage of being... dirty.
She turned her back on the menfolk then and ran her fingers gingerly over several other tomes. " Daniel, do you have any books on Defensive magic back here. I have recently started to show a further interest into the subject," she said lightly. No need for the kiddo to know that she and Milo were spies or anything. No no.

Aaaaaand that would be why Daniel didn't have kids yet. Upstairs he had a lot of valuable momentos and his best books and things that could break and... ugh.
Well... he could fix stuff, and Merlin knew he had plenty of times on the mornings after he'd had... well, a late night. Hehe.
But back to the question... in question. "Yeah, there's all sorts around here. They're all ordered in alphabetical order according to subject right now. I can change it so they're in order according to size, author, title... all sorts."
Yeah... just boasting how smart he was. Kinda. Hehe.
"From the relatively fluffy stuff, to darker things. You can browse a little further down the shelf from there... see what you like."

Antigone McArdle-Kane was VERY impressed with what she saw. Very impressed indeed. She was pretty much in her own little world as she ran her fingers lightly over book after book down the shelves. Lovely.
She just nodded absently as Daniel spoke. She knew what she was looking for and she would browse until she found it. She wanted to know more about Defensive spells to protect ones home and whatnot. Yeah.

Milo kept leaning against the doorframe. He didn't want to get into trouble. Nope that would be bad. He smiled, watching Tiggy. She was purdy. Especially when she had that look on her face. Shame the look wasn't about him at the very moment, but she was cute anyway.
His mind drifted slightly, still watching her.

Knowing enough about the species to realise when to shut up and stand back, Daniel did just that, moving back to lean up against the door with his arms folded whilst he waited for Tiggy to find a book.
