Those years didn't mean much to Olly. He couldn't remember what year everyone had graduated. But when he heard the name he did remember and nodded. "Oh, Simon. Yeah I know him. He was a seventh year when I was...a first year I think. He knew my sister more than me, actually, but I did know him since we were in the same house you know." She was Simon's sister, that was cool. Olly made a mental note to introduce her to Ellery.

"I bet. It sounds scary to transfer schools. What made you decide to do it?"

Olivia smiled a little more when Olly informed her that he had heard her brother's name. It was somewhat comforting even if Olly didn't know her brother too, too well. It was nice that people knew the name.

She nodded to his question and paused. It was scary transferring. She had an established group of friends at Beauxbatons and everything, it was wonderful. It truly was. However, there was something missing. Adventure, perhaps? Olivia felt like she needed to go find it. "It is scary transferring. I'll be at a new school and not know anyone really and yet... It's also really exciting," she paused, trying to think of the best way to explain why she wished to transfer. Hmm... Aha! She had it. "I love Beauxbatons. I really do. It's a wonderful school and I have good friends there but it was, in a sense, boring. Nothing happened at Beauxbatons. It was just school, homework, and more homework. I don't mind the work but after a while.. Everything just becomes boring, Olly" She sighed and paused for a moment. "You see, I've always wanted to go to Hogwarts ever since my brother went. He'd always come home with these stories of weird happenings and I really wanted to experience something like that. No matter how terrifying it could be. I probably sound a little crazy." Olivia chuckled, glancing down at her grazed knee. She was definitely rambling at this point.

MORE ICE CREAM!

Kiara couldn't help but beamed happily when Uncle Adi said that he's going to the park and get ice cream! The three year-old bounced and really wanted to go! But but but.... "Auntie Ava, can we go with Uncle Adi?"

Merlin, Adi really wanted to spoil her niece very much! Hehehe. Could they go to the park and get more ice cream together? She wanted to say yes, but Kiara already had ice cream today and her father wouldn't be pleased if he knew that Ava fed her more sugary stuffs. "Maybe next time, Kiara? We have to ask daddy if he can let us go together with uncle Adi." She ruffled the toddler's hair and kissed on the top of her head. "Sorry, but you don't want me to get scolded by Dima, do you?"

As for OWL preparations... "I think Noelle and I will study together as study buddy or so... If she's not too busy with her boyfriend. I can't study with Phillip, it's so distracting when he's around and maybe we're gonna ended up... You know, not studying." Of course that Ava couldn't tell explicitly what would happened if she and Phillip studied together because there's a little kid around them now (Plus, it will be inappropriate on SS).

Oh, goodness! She's gonna be on his wedding!!! Wasn't it exciting??? "Ah, thank you!!! Just tell me what is your wedding theme color so I can look for the dress and match with Phillip's suit." Probably it's gonna be blue or orange. Please let it be blue because orange color might make her look like a carrot. "Aw, I don't know that you're such a very romantic boyfriend." Gushes. "Do you have... the ring or so?" She didn't really have an idea about a guy's proposal to a guy. Did they also bend on one knee and doing romantic gesture just like a common proposal?

Adi tickled Kiara's chubby cheeks. Merlin! Kiddos were always so cute! One could see why he loved them. He did feel a bit disappointed that he couldn't take her and Ava but he understood. "Not a problem, Ava! I get it. I've got to help you show how responsible you've become, right?'' The guy winked. He was SUPER proud of her, you know.

"Having a study buddy is one of the best ways to get work done,'' he agreed with a nod. Then he was desperately trying not to snigger. What Ava was talking about was something he could very much understand. "Say no more! It was the same for me and Benny after we became a couple and it's still the same way. Boyfriends are distracting!'' Mhmmm!

"Will do! The wedding is most likely going to happen after we graduate. By the way, you're not allowed to get married until you're thirty.'' LOL. Adi wanted to see Ava's reaction to THAT. "Nope, not yet. Lux is going to help me pick it out really soon but I'll be sure to send you a picture of it.''

Woah! Had it really been all that time? "I hope you guys last longer too! You've just got to trust him to handle her. And since he likes you, you wouldn't have to worry about her. She's the past after all.''

"I bet that you're the better girlfriend. I mean you are super awesome!'' And if anyone dare say anything different, Adi would jinx then Was it time for them to leave already? Cue the sad guy! But he couldn't help but brighten up when Kiara hugged him around the knees. "Bye, you cutie!'' He scooped her up in his arms to give her a hug. "Take care of Auntie Ava.'' Adi kissed Kiara's cheek then handed her over to the little sister.

"Bye, Ava! Next time we'll go for that hang out in the park, okay?'' He gave her a biiiiig squishy hug before leaving.

It was such a beautiful day. Khara really couldn't resist not going straight home after work and instead just taking a walk. So once her shift was over she had got tiny into his carrying bag and headed towards Diagon Alley. Maybe she'd get her and the baby niffler some ice cream while they were out.

Taking a moment to check out the area Khara decided to have a seat and let Tiny have a little snack. Pulling the little niffler out of his bag she pulled out his treats and let him down on the ground. Having his harness leash around him she was sure he woudln't be getting into trouble.

It was an unfortunate sort of reality when he had to spend more than a month in the London office. Not that Nathaniel did not appreciate his hometown, but he had not exactly chosen this lifestyle--for he did not consider it a job--if he'd been looking for office hours.

But office hours, for now, would have to do. He went back to a bench he'd been sitting on not too long before, holding a large cone of ice cream, to wait for his aunt and cousin, only to note it was now otherwise occupied. By--a niffler?

"Interesting choice of playground," Nate noted, squatting down to get on eye-level with the creature. At which point, of course, he noted there was a harness attached to it which was presently being held by a woman. Oh. "Yours, I presume?"

She may have been looking into her purse and not paying much attention to anything around her. She was looking for something very important and her purse was just too big. Maybe she shouldn't have put the charm on to get that extra room for Tiny, but it did it's job and soon she pulled out the water she was looking for.

"Hmm?"


She looked at him and then watched as he went down towards Tiny, "Oh yes he's mine or well he is the zoo's." She was the one that took care of the nifflers so they were hers for the most part. "Tiny is only three months old and found himself with a broken leg so he's been staying with me until he is fully healed." He was too young to be with the rest and a broken leg. She was having fun having him with her too.

Nathaniel took a lick off his mint chocolate ice cream and carefully lifted up his empty hand to point his index finger at the niffler. He shot the woman a sideways look, tinted with some interest. "That's unfortunate for you, Tiny." Gently, he touched the top of its head. "Separated from the mother, then?" Was the mother even in the picture? "Must be much like having a regular, human baby, I'd gather?" Not that he'd know, but he remembered enough of Marya's birth to not know but at least have an idea.

She watched the man's interaction with Tiny with a bit a worry. She didn't know him so him going near the niffler put her on edge a bit, but Khara wasn't one to jump either so she just sat quietly and observed. She smield as it looked like he was going to have the niffler shake his finger and the niffler sniffed it before going back to his treats. "He's doing much better actually, plus I think he likes being spoiled." All the nifflers did really, if people really knew how to spoil them.

Nathaniel hadn't been scared but he did tense, just a tad, when Tiny chose to honor him with...was that interest? He laughed at his own absurdity, and took another lick of his ice cream. Which wasn't the best, he had to admit, but it'd have to do.

"Survival of the fittest, then? What with the fracture, and all." Or was it natural selection? He was unclear. This was not his area of expertise. It was admittedly a little sad that the mother had walked out on it, but that was life. Some just got to learn it a little too early on. "Sounds like a baby to me." He spoke with confidence; though Nate hadn't been around a baby since his nephew was born and it wasn't like they'd even lived under the same roof.

He wiggled the finger at the niffler, one of the corners of his mouth quirking up. "You think? Maybe he's just interested in the two galleons I have in my front pocket."

"Oh goodness no, the mother just left the entire litter. He broke his leg because he got a little too greedy at an early age and feel into a crack trying to get what he thought was a gold piece. It was just a piece of candy from my lunch." She chuckled a bit thinking about it. At the time she felt horrible, but the silly thing it was funny now.

Nathaniel knew he shouldn't have laughed, but he did anyway. It was always interesting to him to see that regular animals and magical creatures alike developed personalities just like people did. Probably in different ways and the levels of complexity varied, surely, but still. It was interesting, this; the way in which all living things were simultaneously similar yet so different. And always somehow woven together, too. "I'd be willing to wager, then, that Tiny is now more careful about his treasure hunting because of that experience, painful as it was."

People could learn, so could other sentient beings. That he knew to be true. Nate stood up and took another lick of his ice cream, looking down at both the woman and the niffler. "Nate. Nathaniel." It was all the same to him. Until of course it wasn't; namely when family showed up. "I'm a curse-breaker." Your friendly neighborhood Gringotts employee. Usually. "You're... a zookeeper? Magizoologist?" Sounded like a good guess.

He looked at Khara then at Tiny. Then at Khara again. His mouth began to curl in the hints of a smile. "Can he eat ice cream without getting sick? I'd be willing to share."

She sighed before laughing, "I wish I could say yea, but he never learns. He still gets to focused on what he is trying to find and doesn't pay attention where it is that he is going or how dangerous if could end up being. I have to really watch him closely." It could be why he never left her sight. She was going to struggle to put him with the rest of the nifflers when he was old enough to be on his own.

"Well Nate, Nathaniel it's nice to meet you." She moved over a bit so he could sit on the bench if he wanted to. "Oh wow curse breaking, numbers and things were never my speciality, but I've always found it so interesting." She was interested in lots of things, but animals were always her biggest passion. "Yes to both, I work at the Scamanders Zoo. Have you ever been?" If he hadn't he should go.

This was interesting. So, like a child, Tiny seemed like he'd grown too accustomed to the pleasures life could offer. Such as always being kept out of trouble by the constant protection of its caretaker.

"He's still young." Laugh colored his voice. "Hopefully and for his own good, he'll grow out of it." Which gave Nate a thought. "But if he doesn't... he would not be a candidate to release back into the wild, correct?" Whatever the wild was for nifflers, in any case. Perhaps it was a jewelry store? Or a dig site somewhere in Cairo.

Unfortunate for all parties involved, no doubt. He swiped his finger on the ice cream and offered a dollop of it to Tiny, before sitting down. "It's good to meet you, too, Khara." He actually a smiled, shooting her a sideways look. "It's probably less numbers than you imagine." Except for when he was left to stay at the headquarters like he was now, presumably to set paperwork and other affairs in order.

"I don't think I've had the pleasure to visit Scamander's. I don't spend that much time here in London, assuming it's in London." Though he loved it dearly, terrible weather aside.

Khara wasn't really one that jumped to social experience, she usually tried to blend in, but lately she was really wanting to meet new people and actually get some friends outside of the animals, so the fact that this gentleman sat down and was striking up a conversation made her nervous and excited. She glanced down at the little niffler starting to play around their feet.

"No he wouldn't, but he'd never be considered to be released anyway. Our creatures are all raised at the zoo to stay at our zoo or go to other zoos. None of them would be good in the wild. They are to use to human interaction." Not to mention none of them have to ever search for food.

Nathaniel finished his ice cream, and spared some small pieces of cone for Tiny, who was busying himself around their feet. It was cute if not a little unnerving; what if they got too distracted and he got a little too far before either he or Khara noticed?

"Oh." He said, offering the niffler a small piece of cone. "I assumed that perhaps it'd be like muggle zoos. Or is it reservations? Hmm." His few adventures--if they could be referred to as such--out in the muggle world were always so far in between the details could get, well, a little blurry.

He considered his words. Not because the answer was hard come up with but because it wasn't something he actually ever gave much thought. It was what it was. He could not imagine it being any different. "I once got stuck inside a cave. Craziest part is," He said, hiding a grin as he reached down to ruffle Tiny's head, "I didn't notice it until hours later." Mostly because he'd gotten hungry. With his free hand, he scratched the very slight scruff growing on his chin. "I get to travel a lot, really. Work does that. Treasures to be found everywhere, I suppose."

She watched Tiny not concerned since she had his harness on him. Unless the little curious cutie would slip out of it she had it all under control. "No reservations, it's like the muggle zoos. Just come and pay admission. There is cafe's as well so you can eat if you like. " There were actually some good places to, she liked to get her lunch right there many of times.

Stuck in a cave? She looked at him very interested in that. "Come across any species of bats?" That would be fun the more the thought about it, but that could be her passion coming out as well. He hadn't even noticed for hours later, goodness she wondered what he had been doing not to notice. "What were you doing in the cave?" She was hanging on every word, did he notice?

"I would love to travel, but I just never do. I hate taking days off work. The creatures don't understand if you aren't there, so I just hate to leave them." Though after meeting her friend Jason she thought maybe she would try to find someone to go on the African Safari with.

Dora plopped down with a heavy sigh as she placed her shopping bags at her feet, well out of the reach of anyone who might think about walking past and helping herself to her things. Hmph.

Maybe she had spent too much time with her father in the OTHER alley this summer. Heh. She was suddenly very cautious of where she left things and aware of her surroundings more than usual. That point being made by her casual glances around every now and then. Not in a manner in which anyone would find odd, or disturbing. Just natural, as though she was people watching. Mhm. Yep, that was it.

PEOPLE WATCHING.

Daisy had been sitting on her own bench, not necessarily people watching but more like enjoying the last of her Chocolate Frog ice-cream before having to go and meet her Mum at St. Mungo's. Or that was the plan, at least until she saw Dora.

That girl was the strangest person she had ever met.

Finishing the ice-cream, she stood up and made her way across the street, avoiding the shoppers and the exciting kids. "Dora." She said as she approached the girl, trying not so sound too wary. They were friends, but she had hit her with a broomstick once. "Are you looking for someone?"

Dora wasn't strange! She was merely unapologetically herself. There was a difference, you see. Most people were too afraid of judgement to truly be themselves. Dora didn't have that fear. Hehe. But whatever.

The blonde had begun to tuck her shopping bags into her handbag... the designer one that used to be her mother's given to her by some SCHMUCK she used to date or some such, one with an undetectable stretching charm, ya know. So it was while she was seeing to this task that she completely missed the arrival of Daisy Carden.

Daisy. HEHE.

Knowing that voice immediately, she looked up and smiled widely.

"Nope. Just taking a break from shopping and decided to do some people watching. Some of the witches and wizards around here are fascinating, ya know?" And FINALLY she stuffed the last bag inside of the vintage Louis Vouitton and sat back up right. Getting a good look at her friend she smiled softer now.

"You look lovely, by the way. Have you been having a fun summer?" As she spoke she pulled her legs under herself and put the bag in her lap for safe keeping.

Those ... were a lot of shopping bags. Daisy watched in amusement as Dora seemed to somehow fit them all inside of her handbag, though. Probably with the help of magic, maybe the very same spell her Mum used to use on her own handbags. Knowing Dora, Daisy would believe it if the girl told her she knew how to do that spell since she was twelve years old. She had learned a lot of things during her fifth year at Hogwarts, and not to underestimate Dora Umbridge was one of them.

Are they?" Witches and wizards could be interesting, sure, but Dora had seemed really focused on them. Daisy looked around the street for a while, trying to find anything that fascinating to watch. She had seen fascinating and it honestly looked nothing like a street full of families and children shopping. It looked like night adventures, chalk, and leaves blowing in the wind. She looked back to Dora with a small smile. "Okay, show me, then." And without asking, she sat down next to the girl, facing the street. If people were this fascinating, surely Dora could show it to her, yes?

"Thank you." She turned to look at the girl with a chuckle. As long as she managed to get out of the country for a while, summer did seem to somehow uniformize her colours. Her hair grew lighter, her skin darker and freckles appeared on her nose. She looked over the Gryffindor and chuckled. "You look amazing. Summer clearly suits you." It was true. The girl looked absolutely stunning. "Summer has been fun. Lots of Quidditch." And other stuff too, but she was focusing on Quidditch, no matter what other people said. "What about yours? Why are you doing your shopping this early?"

Stuck in a cave? She looked at him very interested in that. "Come across any species of bats?" That would be fun the more the thought about it, but that could be her passion coming out as well. He hadn't even noticed for hours later, goodness she wondered what he had been doing not to notice. "What were you doing in the cave?" She was hanging on every word, did he notice?

"I would love to travel, but I just never do. I hate taking days off work. The creatures don't understand if you aren't there, so I just hate to leave them." Though after meeting her friend Jason she thought maybe she would try to find someone to go on the African Safari with.

Nathaniel continued to feed Tiny what was left of the cone and merely shot Khara small looks every now and then. Surely if there was a problem she'd tell him...?

He did not want to be accused of animal creature or whatever it was called, so he quickly used his wand to vanished what was left of the cone, and shrugged down at Tiny. "Not sure that's part of your diet, my friend." The corners of his mouth twitched. "Sorry."

The man leaned back on the bench, dusted off his hands. "Quite a few, really," he admitted. "Though I can't remmber any of the names." Not that he had known, in any case. "One of them was very big, though. A little reddish." He frowned, struggling with the memory. "Big ears, maybe. Equally enormous wings."

Surely she'd know which one he meant? Or maybe not. His description had not necessarily been the best. "Wait, the ears might not have been big at all."

Khara had no problem with what he was doing and she enjoyed watching Tiny interact with other people. Her nifflers were always pretty social, but she knew all the interactions helped him get more and more use to humans. She even laughed at his words, "It's not, but a little treat now and then doesn't hurt him."

She reached down and gave the baby niffler a little scratch behind the ears. "You might be his new best friend." She laughed watching the little niffler moving around looking for more.

"An Eastern Reddish Bat maybe?" She was so interested and would love to go see, but she wouldn't jump all over him about the bats and seem weird. That sounds so fun to go and explore caves." She'd love to go into a few and look around.
