| | |  Bowling Lanes 3 and 4
 Just beyond where the prize tables are set out, the bowling lanes are lit up and ready. This is where the main action is going to be placed for the night’s competition. The lanes and pins themselves are set up as they normally are during regular business hours, but everything seems to have an attractive gleam to it (the obvious signs that they've been waxed and polished for party reasons!). Even the shrunken heads are done-up for the occasion, many sporting face glitter and hair sparkles! Speaking of lanes, though, you'll notice that only six are actually accessible for game-play. They will accommodate the six mix-and-match bowling teams that have been formed by your shopkeepers!
To those that signed up prior to the event, you'll have been owl'd your team name before arriving. Simply look for the lane place-marked with that name and get ready to greet your teammates...because each group has their own lane for the duration of the party!
Don’t have a team, but want to play? Find your friendly Bowling Alley Shopkeeper (Govoni) walking around mingling and she will get you all set up. It's never too late to join the fun!

Nolan headed over to the lane where they'd been assigned, holding Scarlett's hand as they walked, only to find...no one. Not a single person. Was he the first one here from EITHER team? Huh. And he thought he had been late! "Are you sure you're at the right lane?" his wife, Ginger asked him, hoisting baby Clay up on her thigh as she asked. Nolan responded with a nod. "Yeah, 100% positive. I double checked. Guess we're just early," he said with a smile. He sat down and started to put on his bowling shoes as Scarlett ran up to her mother. "Mummy! I want to go get candy! Please?" she asked, jumping and tugging on her mother's blouse. Ginger sighed and gave her an exhausted smile. "Ok, we can, but just one piece, ok? Then we have to come back and cheer on Daddy," she explained. She looked over to Nolan. "I'll take them to the sweet shop really fast and then be back. Something to keep them occupied," she chuckled.
Or it could backfire and result in a sugar high for the kiddos. It was a gamble they were willing to take.

A sporty event with some competition, this was exactly what Erica sought out as fun. It was a great way to socialize and it was only with eagerness that she was more than willing to tag along in the Diagon Alley event for the year, her first as one of the keepers. It would be interesting to say the least, and hopefully it would attract more customers to waddle along during the new year.
Pulling her brown-leather jacket off, and placing it to lay on her arm, the Dixon entered the alley alone. She peeked at the prizes for a few moment, smiling at how they were all arranged and then made her way towards the lanes.
Lane four, or was it three? It was three, she was well with numbers.
She placed her jacket down and turned to what she saw was currently only one man. "Blue Basilisks?" She asked, just to make sure. | |

It looked like Jory was early. He was sure his team had been assigned to Lane four. The only other persons by lane three was a man, his wife most likely and kids. As he watched, another lady joined them. He waved to them. Others were milling around by the other lanes.
Alright. Since he was the only one here so far, he'd just take the time to relax and get ready for the event. Hopefully by then his team mated would have started arriving.

Alright. Time to get to know her teammates. Best way to ensure success for the Silver Nundus is to know your team members. This was the same principle in quidditch.
One young lad milling around lane four. One lad (with his wife and children) and another female around lane three. Choosing to approach the young lad first, Amelia smiled at him. "Silver nundus here, right?" She asked casually. ooc: so we totally thought Nolan was our prefect in our first year, but I think he was two or three years before we got to hogwarts. whoops! XD

Vashti was quite excited for this event. She'd been looking forward to it ever since they'd all started planning it, so she was relieved it was finally here. It still felt weird to be around the cold again, even though she'd gotten back from New Zealand a few days ago. She missed the warmth and more importantly she missed Louisa, and she wished her friend had come back here and come to this event with her.
But no need to focus on that right now, she supposed. No need to be sad since this was supposed to be a fun event.
So after glancing over the prize table as she entered, Vashti made her way over to the lane assigned to her team, the Blue Basilisks. It was sort of a scary name, but she supposed that was probably the point.
There appeared to be a few people there already, though one young man and woman were standing at the other lane so he must not be on their team. She offered them both a smile though, before turning to the others there in the Basilisk lane. "Good evening, everyone," she said cheerfully. "Ready to bowl?"

So Ella was really looking forward to the bowling event. It was going to be really fun, especially to hang out with her fellow shop keepers. Her team were obviously going to win though. Because they had her on them. Though her pink highlights really didn't compliment the blue too much. She would much preferred to have a pink team, but then she didn't know what animals would be pink. Oh well. The blonde (and pink) woman had left her kids at home tonight. She didn't need them to be running around whilst she tried to bowl. Although Hudson had really wanted to go. She had promised them that they would go bowling in the new year.
Andd now she was here. The woman wandered along before she found her lane. And there were a few people here. "Blue Basilisks?" Because she hoped that the had found her team.

Amelia looked around the Bowling Alley as she walked over to the lane her group was assigned too. The decor was... interesting.
Spotting a few people already at lane three Amelia slowed down for a second to observe them before walking over. A lot of them were dressed casually like she was and she felt better to see that. She hadn't been sure how much she should dress up and so had decided her clothing purely on what she might wear on a bowling date with Isaac. Luckily that seemed to be the right choice.
"Hi, this is the lane for the Blue Basilisks, right?" Amelia asked, giving everyone a friendly smile as she joined them. Sadly she'd never met anyone on her team, or if she had she didn't remember. On the plus side though this meant she'd get to know some new people, even if only briefly.

After scoping out the prize table, you know, to make sure that the prize he had set up for the Magical Menagerie was still the best, which it wasn't but it was definitely in the top five, Archer made his way over to the designated bowling lane for his team.
And while it was all for fun, since the names of the teams didn't really matter, especially because it was going to be his team that won, there was just a few things he had to complain about.
Did no one, no one at all know about creatures!?
Sure, the Silver Nundus sounded really, really cool, but had no one ever seen a Nundu before!? Well.. probably not, but really, that was besides the point. He could've went on and on for days about the things wrong with the names of the teams, but fun. Right. They were there for fun. Tonight was going to be interesting. For one, Aliceara hadn’t exactly gone bowling in years, and two, she knew part of her wished someone could have come with her. She wasn’t complaining, as spending time with her fellow shopkeepers and everyone was just as nice, but it was New Year’s Eve. It might have been nice if she’d gotten to really have that experience. Either way, she was planning on having a good time. Getting out of the shop was nice as well, and she knew that their prize was just as nice as everything else on the prize table, even if it might be more understated. People always enjoyed custom work, and there was always the possibility the offer would lead into more business as well. She had to have a bit of that in her, since she liked having the shop busy. Events always led to making acquaintances, and that led to visits. It was a mutually beneficial situation, and having some fun at the same time was a bonus.
Of course, she also was planning on making sure her team won. There was no point coming into this thinking any different. That was a defeatist point of view, and she had never looked at anything that way. She knew Angelina was there somewhere as well, but for now, her assistant was part of the competition. Checking in and making sure her team was ready took precedence over making sure the younger girl was doing okay, and she didn’t think there was need to worry about that anyway. Angelina was sociable enough, and so was she. Socializing had been one of her specialties for a long time. At least, going to events had been, and this was no different. Walking over to the assigned lane, an amused look crossed her face as she’d heard Archer’s question. “I can’t imagine everyone’s here,” she commented, stepping closer. There likely was supposed to be more than four people on the team. Did she need to introduce herself? So far it didn’t seem so. Greetings might be nice, though, and she’d smiled at the other two. “Hello everyone.”

The first of whom asked if everyone was here? Well it would help if she knew who everyone was, but she was told they were going to be on teams of five or six? Or was it seven? Maybe it was seven like quidditch. Yup, that would make a whole lot of sense!
"I agree with her. I think we need a few more. Though I don't doubt we could we win with only four, with the right strategy..." It was better to wait for everyone if they could, yes? "So while we're waiting ... why don't we go around and introduce ourselves?" Cause she at least didn't know anyone. At least she didn't think she did.

Or the lane he thought he was supposed to be at. One of the two. Or five. Or...
"SILVER NUNDUS! WOOP WOOOP!" He beamed, throwing out his arms wide.
