"When the heckkkkk am I going to get some sleep? XD"

Haha, seriously...it was the first thought after I closed the book. Before that, I was reminded about a FF that Steps' had wrote once. Mhhm, and then brought me back ALL the way to One, Two, Buckle My Shoe by Meandering. And then to Rich's Siry fic. I didn't think of any specific event or book persay...Just random scenes. This may seem cheesy---But, I honestly did start to remember all the midnight release parties, endless amount of time reading the books, writing random riddles, wishing I could get sucked in or else find others that enjoyed the series as much as I did---To finding SS, and creating all of the many memories that the great people from this site and I have shared. Everything that was made possible because of JKR and her series.

I think I'll leave the unanswered questions from the series alone. Let my mind wander aimlessly but not so disturbed [despite the many inevitable losses]. Plus, there's no sign of an epiphany any more. Now, that it's over. Or is it?

I thought it was fantastic, I was satisfied with the ending and though it was the best of the series. The only thing that I really kept thinking about was Snape. Poor Severus, never getting a chance to be with someone else, unrequited love - It's just so sad! I wish he didn't have to die, he never got the chance to live a normal life.

I can't help but think the fanfiction writers are going to go beserk now...

My first thought was, and I quote
%$!#
Out of many emotions, such a word slipped from my gaping lips, and I stared blankly at the last page of the book, letting the words peruse my thoughts and my footwear, and finally, my genius proclamation
"Woah..."

I started to tear up. But then I started to giggle uncontrollably until I almost fell off my bed and cracked open my skull so I calmed down and now I can't sleep until I talk it through with SOMEONE so therefore here I am.

I don't even know what to say. I can't believe it's really over. WOW!! I got teary eyed a couple of times. Man killing off Mad-Eye right in the beginning. I sorta felt sorry for Petunia she wanted to go to Hogwarts so bad and turned herself against her sister because she couldn't. I think there are a few questions I didn't find a clear answer on or one at all. I'm going to read it again to see if I might have missed it. But Great job Rowling did. So glad Harry lived.

*sigh*

I'm trying to think on how to correctly express my feelings on this last installment of Harry Potter.

Well, I think overall I thought it was...OK. However, I felt that the pace was extremely rushed and gave the reader no time to invest any emotion in the tragedies and triumphs that occurred through out the book. I felt oddly detatched through the whole thing. When I would read the previous books I always felt like I was there, watching and experiencing everything as the characters did. As I read this book, I felt like I was doing just that. Reading a book. If that makes sense to anyone. I couldn't seem to get "into" any of the character's emotional states. Therefore, it was almost a chore on my part to get through it. Now don't get me wrong, the story was very exciting in parts and the story itself was fairly interesting. It's not that I hated it or anything, but, I do feel a bit disappointed in it. Maybe thats because it's the last book too. Anyways, I'm sad that it has finally come to an end, but glad Voldemort is finally gone.

Which brings us to the Epilogue..... *stops to make an appointment to the dentist for all the cavities received from reading said Epilogue* I am already biased concerning epilogue's (detests them ), but, even if I wasn't I still would hate this one. I found it to be completely superfluous and quite annoying. I much prefer imagining where the character's lives end up rather than having it handed to me on a silver platter. Plus, it was much to "sweet" for my taste. I also felt a bit offended that JKR seemed to think that after 7 years or so of investing one's life in her books that we would not be able to figure out how the character's lives might end up. Alas, but again I am refering back to my intent dislike for Epilogues as I am sure that JKR must have felt the need to write the epilogue for her own closure as well as those of some of her fans.

Alrighty then I am through with my rant! For now...

My head hurts from the non-stop reading for several hours. I wanted to read this book from beginning to end without any distractions or breaks in between.

I was in tears during the last few chapters, but the ending in a way lightened my heart. I really really enjoyed this book. A lot of things were revealed and shocked me for the good- especially when Harry went back to Snape's memory & found out how he truly loved Lily. Also the facts about Albus not being so perfect struck me cuz I always pictured him very saintly.

I'm still taking it all in at the moment...

the epilogue was kinda odd, but cute especially one of Harry's son with the name "Albus Severus" whoooo .... !

I breathe a sigh of relief. That may sound a little heartless, but I'm so glad we know everything that J.K. was planning since day one. Now we are all equal in knowing the Harry Potter story

I was crying do hard whe I finished the book. I can't beileve that Fred, Tonks, Lupin, Dobby, Moody, and Snape all died. And then on top of that, the fact that Lupin and Tonks had a baby and made Harry his godfather. The part that confused me was how Harry survived. I mean, he died but came back, thats just weird. The ending totally shocked me because I had ill feelins towards Dumbledore for a while, but then I realized how stupid I was being. It's amazing how with books like this your judgement is impaired by the thoughts of the character whom you are following.

I liked the epilouge, but it was also kind of weird. I mean, we find out what happened to Neville, Harry, Ron, Ginny, Hermione, and Malfoy. What happened to Luna? or Dean or Seamus? I wonder how they turned out. I also wonder if the 19 years between the story and the epilogue is significant.

I thought it was alright... I felt it was written more as an attempt at a book that could easily be turned into a two hour movie than the others were. The ending of the book was alright but I would have liked to see at least one main character kick the bucket. I was mostly dissappointed though but there's always more fan fiction.

I can't believe it's all over. Just like that, it's over.
Why did Fred have to die? What happened with George?
What are the occupations of Ron, Hermione, Ginny and Harry? Where do they live?
Why was the epilogue 19 years later?
I just think that if JK was going to write an epilogue she could have at least explained what our Heroes had been up to for 19 years! A little bit about the wizarding world and what happened to other characters.

Overall i did enjoy the book very much, i was thinking that it would probably become my favo HP book up untill the epilogue. It's not that i didn't think it was sweet and all but it seemed so useless.

It wasn't just the epilogue though, i closed the book feeling very empty and a little dissapointed.
I think i had expected more from it, or maybe it's just because it was the last one ever.

A few!? It said like 50 PEOPLE died in the final battle. Just on the good side. I'd say that's a heck of a lot.

I was a bit numb when I ready Harry died. But it went away over the next chapter. I had a few tears when I actually finished, just because I knew it was over.

Now I can't wait to read them to my niece or nephew. I think the Harry Potter series, like Lord of the Rings, will last for many generations as a favourite.

I cried at many different points throughout the book. It started with Dobby's funeral. Gosh, the ending...that made me cry too. As soon as I read the last line..."All was well", I started crying again, but from happiness.
I'm so sad it's all over. That's all we'll hear from Harry forever...

I turned the page over, expecting to see more... I mean, it was well rounded off, but I felt that it could've had more at the end. Especially considering how there were 30 page chapters, then going into a 10 page epilogue.

But that doesn't mean I didn't like it... I loved it. I was still laughing over what one of the kids said as it finished.

I cried a bit & felt numb.. actually, I still do now. Simply because the end of this book means the end of an era, and I think I was more sad about that than I was about the events in the book, actually...

Reaction was "I've finished but can talk to no-one as they haven't read it yet!" That was frustrating. Then I went to sleep after around 12 hours of non-stop reading. Was a bit bos-eyed by the end

The story was good, but there were bits I would change. Harry was a horcrux - I just felt like it just didn't do the story justice. Also, the Kings Cross chapter. It was alright, but it felt a bit like Matrix-meets-nice talk with God about life. And with Harry dying then not, that was too close to the whole Aslan from Narnia plot.

But on the whole, it was good. A bit stretched out in places and rushed in others, but by far the best. I can see why JKR saw book 6 & 7 as two parts to the same book.

I felt at peace now that I knew everything that was ended. I smiled to myself and was happy. But I called my mom at work to tell her I had finished my book adn she asked me about what happened to harry them Joyful tears came out and I was crying. After a few minutes I was alone again and my mind went back to work. I started thinking about some Questions. We didn't find out what Harry, Ginny, Hermione, or Ron did for work. We knew neville taught but that was about it. Or what they did with Voldermort's body.

All in all, it was a great book and I was happy with it. But I finished it at almost midnight, and I was tired, not to mention sick (still am ). So when I finished it, I was like "Thank God, now I can get some sleep"

The series may be over, but this flame we fans have created will never die out!
