Default What was your favorite part in the book?

Discuss favorite scenes, etc.

My favorite scene, the best written in my opinion was when Harry visited his parent's grave in Godric's Hollow. I love this whole paragraph, but my favorite line was: "...and Harry wished he could be sleeping under the snow with them." Or something to that effect. It was beautiful.

When Viktor Krum showed up at the wedding. I KNEW he'd be back. It's a shame he wasn't at Hogwarts at the end though, although it was awesome that Oliver Wood showed up.

Honestly, my favorite part was the entire middle portion of the book when Harry, Hermione, and, partly, Ron were living in the tent inbetween adventures. I found the despair that creept in amongst them to be very skillfully woven in by Rowling. I particularily enjoyed the allusion to Tolkien's Lord of the Rings series with the Horcruxes being a burden on the person who wore them.

There are soo many, and this will probably change, but I got really pumped up when they went back to Hogwarts and Harry was like "bahh we need to fend off the Death Eaters!" and McG is like "!!!" and they all start performing their spells and such.

Oh, and randomly:

- I loved when they all changed to Harry and Fleur said something like "Bah, I look 'ideous!" LOL.
-When they were going to drink the PJ potion and Hermione was like "I'm sure you taste wonderful" or something and then Ron got all jealous!

I loved all the cutesy Ron and Hermione parts where he would be there to comfort her.

I loved when Ron destroyed the locket.

And Ginny's gift to Harry was great.

But over all favorite part?

Mrs. Weasley fighting Bellatrix. Priceless.

"We're identical!"
that quote had me laughing sooo hard

and when George went "'ear 'ear"
I was laughing pretty hard as well

and when Hagrid was asking for the whiskey--for medical purposes, of course

of the serious parts, The bit with Harry and Dumbledore at the Deathly Hallows was some cool beans

and

when Harry become Teddy's godfather. I went 'awwww'

Dobby's death saddened me, but I thought it was written so well!

Riding the dragon out of Gringotts. I knew there were probably dragons under there! Shame though, I thought the dragon would be Norbert.

As for Norbert, the whole Norberta thing made me crack up.

My absolute favourite part would have to be the R/Hr kiss. That made me so happy. Then Harry going "Is this really the time?"

I would have to say my favorite part would be the very beginning when the Order and Harry were ambushed. I knew from that moment on the book would be the best one yet. Never in all of the first 6 books has J.K. Rowling put so much action in the beginning. I knew that book 7 would be the best

BEST PART:
When George said he was "Saint-like" I laughed so hard, so hilarious!

Other fav parts:
When Ron destroys the locket and returns! Yay! Hermione's little out burst was so cute.
The whole POTC 3 bit where Ron and Hermione kiss in the middle of the battle.
The Snape memory part, you learned so much and felt so sorry for him!

Yeah, the part that really got to me was Harry visiting his parents. But there were so many cool action scenes! Imagine the movie... Bathilda's house and the Gringotts scene, not to mention the entire final battle...

The last movie better be atleast 3 hours long.

Christmas Eve. The graveyard is so quiet, you can almost smell the snow.
The headstones and the quotations. I was affected by the idea that a headstone is the last thing someone says.

I do love the Fred and George scenes especially the last one together (had a tear in my eye).

Also, Kreacher being lovely. Who thought he had it in him?

But I think my all time favourite bit was Mrs Weasley taking on Bella! Molly showed us what she is made of.

I loved the little subtle hints that J.K put in throughout the book about Ron and Hermione's relationship, and Hermione finally kissing Ron! I knew that was coming at some point in the book, but I wasn't expecting it to be that one!
I also loved the cemetery scene in Godric's Hollow, and also the part where Harry had just found out he must die (sob).
Also, I loved the scenes inside the Pensieve.
The epilogue made me start crying from happiness.

WormTail's demise. I don't understand why I enjoyed this scene so much but I did. Weird irony in it. *ish too tired to explain my reasoning yet again*

Siry, Lumus, James, and Lily showing up and helping Harry at the Final Battle. Marauders Time, like whoa--->Priceless.

The Ministry scene! Goshhhh, the whole PJP details and Umbridge...Omg, and freeing the Mugglessss! It was uhmazinggg!

George and his Holeyness. I loved how he handled it. Extremely Bittersweet. <3

House Elves led by Kreacher. When Kreacher says something like, "For my master...And for Regulus" I MELTED. By far, the one quote I remember most from the book. Gosh, it was pweeety schweeet.

I loved Mrs. Weasley. ("Not my daughter, you--!" *beep*)

The twins were also great in the book. I loved them. That's why I was so sad to see one half (Fred) die

And on what page did Ron and Hermione kiss? I forgot... But I knew it! I knew it would happen

I thought the scene at godric's hallow was great, i cried when they were at the graves.

I loved the kiss between ron and hermione and the one between harry and ginny.

But i loved alot of scenes, like the one where lupin showed up at Bill's and announced the birth of teddy, he was soo happy and excited. It was priceless.

I loved Dudley in the house at the end, when he said goodbye to Harry.

I loved the part where Tonks said she had gotten married to harry and was all bouncy and excited.

I liked when they were riding on the blind dragon.

I think that there were many many other scene's that i loved but there are just too many to name them all.

Chapter 33, The Prince's Tale, was the one that had the biggest impact on me, bigger than any HP chapter ever did, prolly.

The trio's stay at Grimmauld place, visiting Sirius & Regulus' rooms. The entire account of Regulus & his locket was very touching, I was happy he turned out to be the way he did.

Visiting Godric's Hollow. Some of the most beautiful imagery ever to come out of JK's pen.

Harry using the Resurrection Stone. Incredibly bittersweet to see the Marauders & Lily 'come back'..

DD and his youth. Him not being as saintly as thought previously, but no less perfect for being flawed in his own way.

The King's Cross chapter. A haunting metaphor all throughout.

Escaping from Gringotts on the back of a blind dragon. Amazing.

Mrs. Weasley fighting fiercely.

The Polyjuice Potion with Harry's hair in it being pure gold in color.

George cracking jokes about his lack of ear. He handled it so well, it was wonderful. Somehow I doubt that he will ever handle Fred's death quite as well. Losing an ear is nothing compared to losing your twin.

Kreacher becoming the leader of the house elves at Hogwarts and chanting stuff for Harry and against Voldemort.

Neville being amazing.

Snape looking into Harry's eyes as he died, just to see Lily's eyes...

All of "The Prince's Tale". It's my favorite part of the whole series...I've only read the book once but I've read that chapter about 10 times already.

My favorite scene was at Snape's death, when he asked Harry to look at him so he could see Lily's eyes once more as he died. So heartbreakingly beautiful.

Default What a question!

Well their were so many good scenes but now the ones to come up in my mind would be Mrs.Weasley finishing Bellatrix (I was nearly dying reading while they faught), and of course her suddon outburst, I'm sure I don't have to repeat, but that was really cool,
I also loved more in the end when Dumbledore explained Harry everything. I liked to 'see' Dumbledore once more before it all had a final end.
I was really sparkling with happiness when Percy arrived as well...boy was I relieved he finally saw the truth and all, I had even almost forgotten him.
Hm...oh, of course...Ron came back to Harry and Hermione and saved him and one of my favs: Hermione (finally!) kissing Ron!
Percy not wanting to leave Fred's dead body!
