Sixth | Although I did not cry, Dobbys death upset me the most. I saw no reason for it until I continued reading. The burial scene was the reason for the death. As I see it, the burial scene was written so that Griphook could see that Harry was not an ordinary wizard. I don't see why it was important to point this out to Griphook and why JKR chose such a beloved character to make the point. To me, his death was unnecessary. Even when the Elves, led by Kreacher, attacked at Hogwarts, the rally cry was for Regulas, not Dobby. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Sylvannas Quickspeed Sixth | My saddest parts were when Harry was digging Dobby's grave and when Harry was looking into Snape's thoughts. Poor Snape, he found love and no one ever knew....how sad he must have been when Lily chose James over Severus. It made me cry.

Violet Slivermoon Magical Creatures | I don't know. So many people died!! I started crying when Dobby died, it was so sad! The way he died, too. And his last words were "Harry...Potter..." It's depressing. And then Harry digging his grave... And Fred. He and Sirius both died laughing. I didn't actually cry there because there really wasn't enogh time to, but now I've finished the book I do cry over him. I feel so bad for George.
And also, I thought Hermione was going to die when she was being tortured. That was so stressful! (I mean, just look at my username...) And when I thought harry was going to die. I was in shock.

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | I didnīt cry reading the other books but this one has just one sad moment after the other. There are so many sad moments, George loosing his ear, Ron abandoning Harry and Hermione, Kreachers Tale, Dobbys death and furneral, Fredīs, Tonks and Remus deaths, The Princes Tale,...
But what really undid me were mere three words "Look ... at ... me..."
This is absolutely the sadest book in the whole series! |

| The saddest part for me is when Dobby died. I cried so much during that part. After all Dobby has done for Harry and practically worshipping him, it was a big loss for Harry. That was the saddest part. It was also really sad when Fred died and Hedwig. Hedwig was a really close friend of Harry's. Hedwig gave harry happy memories from when he first found out that he was a wizard. It was so sad. I expected to cry A LOT more but, I still cried! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Luna Hermione Potter | I cried almost in every part of the book. But I cried a lot when: Harry said goodbye to the Dursleys, when Bellatrix was torturing Hermione and Ron was screaming, when Dobby died, when Percy came back (it wasn't sad but then Fred died), when Harry was seeing people dead in the middle of the battle, when Snape died and his last words were "look... at... me" to Harry and when Harry saw in the pensieve the whole story of the love of Snape for Lily. |

| The writing. It made me weep for its atrocity. It's such a far departure from the other 6 that it almost makes me wonder whether it was a ghost writer that wrote this and Rowling just slapped her name on the cover. The carelessness with which this book was written is very nearly insulting. I was expecting so much more, some equivalent to her previous books. This rickshaw slew of drivel should be stricken from the record and a real final book be written, one written by the same person, whether literally or metaphorically, that wrote the first six.

Suzanna Ming Magical Games & Sports | Lots of moments were extremely sad. Some of the ones that meant a lot to me and I cried for was when they visit Harry's parents graves in Godric's Hallow, when Harry is in the forest walking towards his death using the Resurrection Stone, when Snape dies and his memories, and while he is talking to Dumbledore at "Kings Cross" station. It was also sad when he faced Voldemort for the last time in the Great Hall, and while he walks into the Headmaster's Office after he defeats Voldemort. I think JK wrote the parts so perfectly wonderful and sad at the same time.

| i cried a lot during DH...i cried the most when Snape died...i was rooting for him through the whole series and all my friends said he wasn't a good guy but i had faith, i also cried when Hedwig, Mad-Eye, Fred, and Dobby died. And i think the part i creied the second most was when Lupin died. I loved Lupin, but i think deep down i knew that he was going to die by the end. and i cried when i red the very last word because it hit me that there weren't going to be any more books |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Lucy King Sixth | For some odd reason, I did not care too much about Dobby's death. Dobby was never a favorite for me and the act of Harry digging him a grave simply wasn't terrible for me.
Fred's death is what really tore me apart. To see someone so young, so full of life, and someone we have laughed with throughout the whole series die was just heartbraking. Not to mention that the twins are now broken up. As much as I love George I almost wished they both died, and not just Fred. It doesn't seem right to have one and not the other. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Liam Raven Third Year | Being the manly guy that I am I would never admit to crying, but there were several moments where I was struck with a bit of dust in the eye lol. When Dobby died I was struck right in the heart, while his character was a bit annoying, he was a fierce friend who loved Harry completely.
When Fred died I was stricken with sadness. Both of the twins should have lived or died. Without both of them it just seems...wrong.
When I read the last sentence of the book I admit I was choked up. I never knew books could effect me the way these did. The fact that they are over brings me all sorts of empty feelings. I guess I'll just have to re-read the series over and over again. I've already bought a full set that I will give my future children someday, and hopefully they will pass the set on. I can't imagine this amazing series dying out here. |

First Year | Wow, there was a lot of sad parts for me. When Dobby died, When Harry found Lily's letter, When Hermione was tortured at Malfoy's manor, the Prince's tale chapter, When Harry said "I'm about to die" before entering the forest and then he saw he's parents and all the people who was close to him and died.. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Brianna Fifth | the deaths of all my favorite characters (and the innocent people who we didn't know that well that died because of Voldemort), when Georgia lost an ear, the locket torturing Ron, when Ron left Harry and Hermione, when Harry's wand was broken, when Harry opened the Snitch and used the Resurection Stone to bring back his parents, Sirius, and Remus, when Harry died (kinda), and when we looked into Snape's memories and we learn that he had a crush on Lily. my room was almost completly filled with tears |

Jessica Emily Miller Magical Creatures | To me there were alot of sad parts, the little things really...
First, when Hedwig died, because Harry shouted "no! Hedwig!" that was heart-break worthy.
second, when the locket was torturing ron, he didnt deserve that!
third, when Dobby died, i cried my eyes out and couldnt say y because my family hadnt read it yet.
fourth, when Harry was digging Dobby's grave, he aloud himself to grieve and i thought it was soooooooooo sad!!!!!!!!!! Dobby really didnt deserve to die!
and
fourth, the whole snape being in love with Lily, that was soooo sad after all these years! soooo sad |
