Hogwarts RPG Name: Isabella Thompson First | For me the saddest parts were definitely when Fred died and when Dobby and Hedwig died. First off, Fred was like an older brother to Harry, he had an obvious connection with him and the Weasley Family and for him to lose Fred like that would have tugged at his heartstrings even more, losing all aspects of his "family" (Sirius, Dumbledore ect) is what made me so upset as well me loving his character.
Dobby dying was something that I did not see coming at all. I did not even know that Dobby was going to be returning to the book and then next thing you know, Harry is digging his grave, it was so sad.
And finally Hedwig, someone who has been with him ever since he had found out that he was a wizard, his companion through all those summers where he had to endure the torture of the Dursley's and also without hearing from anyone, so sad when she fell down
This book was very sad, and yet it also had many happy times, but even though it was sad, it needed to be done. |

| A few parts... overall not that many since I don't really cry much in books (I didn't cry when Dumbledore died... but that's cause I knew Snape killed him the day the book came out and before I even opened it...).
In D.H, I did cry though... in such parts:
When Harry dug Dobby's grave... and overall when Dobby died. I always loved Dobby, he was so cute! And tried to help but usually hurt the other person, mainly Harry, and himself because of it. He was great, and he lost his life because he was saving Harry and the others in the end... he died to help the others...
When Hedwig died. Wow... I was totally devestated when that happened - Hedwig was the only one that was there for Harry the entire time, all the way. She helped him through those tough times by being there, and when she died, Harry lost the closest friend he had...
The one part I cried the most at was what Lupin said in the scene where Harry saw all the 'parts' of him - James, Lily, Sirius, and Lupin. It was exactly when Lupin said (talking about his son):
"I was trying to make a world in which he could live a happier life."
Totally started bawling at that one line - it made me realize Teddy would never remember his parents whatsoever, not know who they truly were... it reminded me of Harry, how he was stripped of parents because of the evil that also took Lupin and Tonks...
And like I said, I don't cry easily in books, but I felt really really bad for Snape... I ALWAYS knew there was something between him and Lily, about him loving Lily at least, I had a feeling it was there, and it was proven in book 5 when Harry saw the memory.
But I felt horrible when I read what happened between the two, from the friends to what made Lily stay away from him...
Especially the memory where Snape ripped the last part of the note just because it said, 'With love, Lily' and he was crying... nearly shed more than two tears then, it was so sad...
And I cried a bit at when Fred died... I felt bad for George especially, the two were each others' halves, and it was like he lost his other half. Fred was worried about George because he thought he was going to die when he lost his ear...
But then Fred was the one that was lost in the end... |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Rapunzel Ariel Black Fifth Year Ministry RPG Name:
Enrico Antonio Serio International Cooperation | Saddest parts: Fred dying.......I still don't even know what caused that part of the castle to fall apart....Then Harry just sees Lupin & Tonks lying dead next to each other Dobby.....I was shocked, him turning up at all was completely unexpected!.......and then Snape crying in Grimmauld place over Lily's letter....he actually seemed human for once and he didn't deserve to die the way he did, but now Harry knows that he's not a coward. But the worst part was when Harry found out he was a Horcrux..........I was like holding my breath the whole time and literally jumped for joy when it turned out that he was alive!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
But yeah, I would like to know how George feels now that his twin's dead. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Annabelle McClorey | I basically cried through the whole book...from the moment that Dudley said, "I don't think you're a waste of space," to the last sentence, "All was well," I was bawling like a baby. Heck, I started sobbing when I opened the book and saw the front flap: "We now present the seventh and final installment in the epic tale of Harry Potter." <Couldn't stop the tears flowing. And, obviously, when I closed the book for the first time (I read it in 12 hours, so I only closed the book once), it was so overpowering, the sadness and the end.
I cried very very hard when Fred saw George without his ear. The fact that Fred was speechless for the first time in his life...I'm a twin. I know what it's like to have that kind of relationship, and almost losing your twin is...there aren't words.
I cried at all of the deaths. How could you not? (Professor Charity Burbage, Hedwig, Alastor "Mad-Eye" Moody, Dobby the House-Elf, Fred Weasley, Remus John Lupin, Ted Tonks, Nymphadora Tonks Lupin, Colin Creevy. Rest in Peace.
When Harry "died."
When Voldemort told everyone to look at the "dead" Harry, and everyone was in a panic...Hagrid was heartbroken.
Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, and Neville painted on Luna's bedroom ceiling.
When Harry saw his parents' graves...and the monument as well as the messages some left on the sign.
I cried about Snape, but I think since I knew he was good, I knew Voldemort would kill him, and I knew he loved Lily, I wasn't as taken aback about it, therefore, I didn't cry as hard as I might have otherwise.
This may be pathetic, but I actually cried when I read all that stuff about Dumbledore's past. That dynamic in the story made me angry...they were angry tears. I HATED that part of the book. I, like Harry, felt deceived about Dumbledore, which I didn't like, so I felt very emotional about it.
Oh, obviously, when Ron and Hermione had their first kiss...I was jumping up and down screaming and smiling to no end...but there were tears dripping everywhere...FINALLY!
When Lupin said he regretted marrying Tonks? I was so angry at him, I was crying...especially when Harry said that no parent should leave their kid unless they had to.
OMG: The best part of the book. When Bellatrix said to give her Hermione, and Ron said, "take me instead!" *Heart melts* And when they were in the dungeon and could hear Hermione being tortured, Ron was writhing and aching against his bonds, screaming her name and sobbing, "HERMIONE! HERMIONE!" I LOVE HIM!
I think I cried most and hardest, though, when Ron left. I was honestly like Hermione in the book. I was sobbing and in shock that he left...and crying even harder when he came back. I LOVE RON! Can we just take a moment to say THANK YOU that JKR didn't kill him?!

Hogwarts RPG Name: unsorted | I felt for a lot of things but I really shed tears for:
Dobby' Death-I never really thought he would die but when he did, I felt to so bad espcially when luna gave her little speach about how she hoped he would be happy and when harry dug the grave for him.
Fred dying-again, i didnt think any of the twins would die. The way JK discribed it was just heartbreaking.
The Prince's Tale-at first snape's death was just shocking but after i found out his story I really felt for him. and everytime i think about him it makes me want to tear up because all he did, and the horrible way he died.
When harry brought lily, james, sirius, and Lupin reapeard and when Lupin said he was sorry he never got to know his son. |

| Let's be honest. I cried before I got my book, while I was reading it, and after I finished. My eyes got watery when I read the inside of the jacket--> We now present the seventh and final installment of the epic tale of Harry Potter. I cried, a lot, when Dudley told Harry he was not a waste of space and didn't want to leave him and was grateful for Harry saving his life. Then when Hedwig died. She had been the only magical thing that had always been with him since his first year at Hogwarts. Harry's reaction was heart-breaking. When George got his ear blown off. And Fred was speechless. I thought George was going to die. When we found out Mad-Eye Moody died. I never thought he'd die. And stupid Mundungus Fletcher could have protected him but he fled. Albus Dumbledore's family story. I felt, like Harry, Dumbledore wasn't what we all thought he was. When the Ministry fell to Voldemort and they were informed by Kingsley. Kreacher's Tale, his love for Regulus, and his change of attitude when Harry gave him Regulus's fake locket. When Ron left Harry and Hermione. I was mostly shocked. My eyes got watery when Harry visited his parents graves. Ron coming back and saving Harry's life. I felt a sort of sadness for Luna when Harry sees his face, Ron's, Hermione's, Ginny's and Neville's painted on her room ceiling. I felt sad for Draco because I knew he and his parents did not want to be with Voldemort anymore. Dobby's death was shocking. I never thought he would die. And I started crying when Harry was digging Dobby's grave. Fred's death was heart-breaking. Percy trying to shield Fred's body, Ron wanting to kill. Remus and Tonks death. They had left Teddy all alone which reminded me of Harry and how much he had suffered without his parents. How Harry turned himself in to Voldemort and when he "died". Reading Dumbledore crying is horrible. It makes me want to cry too. And that was when he was talking to Harry. Hagrid and everyone else shouting in pain when they thought Harry was dead. Neville killing nagini. That was sooo brave of him. Voldermort's death. I wasn't crying because he died. It was tears of joy. But what made me cry the most and what still makes me cry when I think about it was The Prince's Tale. Poor Sev....he was really Dumbledore's man all along and the love he had for Lily was heart-breaking. At first I was shocked when he died, it was a horrible way to die, but after reading The Prince's Tale I really start crying. And then at the end when Harry is talking to his son: "Albus Severus," Harry said quietly so that nobody but Ginny could hear, and she was tactful enough to pretend to be waving to Rose, who was now on the train, "you were named for two headmasters of Hogwarts. One of them was a Slytherin and he was probably the bravest man I ever knew." I officially love Severus Snape. Saddest book of the series and the best as well. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Gemma Black | "Look...at...me"
I cried when Snape died. Through 6 and 1/2 books I thought that he was evil. That he was a spy for Voldemort. I loathed him in HBP because I thought that he had betrayed Dumbledore. I keep crying and saying" I'm sorry!!" I cried especially hard when he said that" Look...at...me " to see Lily's eyes one last time.
I cried during "the Princes Tale" it was so sad, how he loved Lily that much, and how he had come to care a little for Harry.I didn't really expect the death of Severus Snape.
I cried when Dobby died. He died saving Ron,Hermione,Harry,Luna,Mr.Ollivander and Griphook. He was so important to Harry, and Harry was so important to him.
I cried when Harry was in the forest,on the way to his death.
I cried when Harry found out that he was a Horcrux. |

God! I cant believe it.
When he said, "Look.... at... me..." then he looked Harry in the eye, I got the impression that he wants to see Lily through Harry's eyes.
It was just so sad! Quote: |

| Yeah, that was a cute part in a very sad way... Quote: |

| Same... just a moment ago on another board I read that and finally felt a tear for that part...
Then I kinda ruined the moment by putting: 'I feel a tear coming on knowing Snape wanted to die looking into Harry's eyes... wait, that didn't sound right 0.o'
But that was sad... I had a feeling that was why Snape said that (I had my Snape/Lily assumptions since book 5 in the memory Harry saw in Snape's pensive. How he reacted made me think 'why's he so mad... he's probably got tons of memories of James picking on hi-wait a minute!' Then i saw a Snape/Lily vid on youtube and then I realized 'he loves her and hated the fact he called her mudblood!').
That was very sad though that he had to die... but he died looking into the eyes of what reminded him of Lily.
Now he can be with her in heaven! (despite James being there, but what he doesn't know won't hurt him).
I nearly cried a heck of a lot more than actually crying... and I cried the most at the one thing Lupin said (in the forest when Harry was walking to what he thought was his death). I didn't even cry as much then when Fred died...
Which I still did find very sad and cried a bit cause I loved Fred! He was cute in a way that was perfect with George (they were each other's halves kind of thing)... and I was more crying at the fact George lost his 'other half', the closest friend he had... |

| Dobby dying was pretty sad. He was so scared when he got to the dungeon; he was not only in Death Eater territory but his old horrible masters' house too. Yet he still did what Harry asked and even came back knowing full well the risks. What a brave, brave guy. I think Bella should have been crucio-ed a good long while before death.
The other thing that was really sad was Harry wishing he'd brought something to his parents grave and Hermione without even being asked, conjuring up the Christmas roses. It really touched me. And then, them putting their arms around each other and walking out. Conjuring a wreath out of thin air notwithstanding, it seemed like a very normal grieving moment in some non-magical person's life. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Alex Johnston | when they were in the dungon and they could hear hermione get tourchered and ron was yelling and trying like mad to get to her. when harry wanted to just hug ginny but he knew that he couldnt. when all the deaths happened (even dobby and hedwig!), specially when fred died. it was horrible because the fact of percy coming back and they were being brothers again. i just hate that percy had to have fred basically die in his arms. when snape died and told harry to look at him so he could look into lilly's eyes once more (at least thats what i got out of it!)...*sob* and telling him to take his memories so that he would know the truth. the whole chapter of 'the Princes Tale'. i cant believe that dumbledore asked snape to kill him! |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Mystique Cramille Graduated | Severus dying was the worst. I mean, such a strong character like himself having to go? That really bites.. Voldemort just killed him just to get a wand. Plus, I fancied him. Then after knowing he loved Lily and never got her. What poor luck. I mean, he'd been friends with her since day 1, basically. But she chose James.
Dobby dying was another big one. He was such a helpful character. Always kind, pretty cute. Harry took a big blow when that happened, and seemed to make it worse for the reader.
And when Harry "realized he had to die", that was sad. But at the same time, kind of triumphing because he was willing to sacrifice himself. Not many people would've came out of the castle and stood in front of the Dark Lord. Most would have run off, scurrying far away to find a hiding place for the rest of their life. |

But I cried the hardest at the end of the whole book... Knowing that there is no more books to come. I am still in shock.. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Whigalima (Lima) Whiggmeister Sixth Year | The worst was when Snape died, but all the deaths made me sad. Fred's was the second worst death for me, and I felt really sad that just after Percy came back to his family and started to fight, his brother died in his arms Also when Harry realised that he was going to have to die and when he spoke to his parents, Sirius and Lupin again. And when Harry was visiting his parents graves. I also couldn't bare it when Bellatrix was torturing Herrmione |

Tho Ron acting so suddenly leaving his friends had me by surprise, but that was so like Ron. I loved it when he kept crying HERMIONE HERMIONE!
and their kiss
But the saddest part for me was The Prince's Tale.

Hogwarts RPG Name: Emma | I gotta say I was not prepared for any of the deaths! I was devisted with them all and rejoiced in those that survived. Several of the deaths came as a complete surprise! Colin Creevey, Dobby and Hedwig especially! Tomks, Remus and even Fred were at least somewhat thought of as possible. There were many parts where I cried and laughed....to find out several of my theories had been right on from the beginning, etc, and eventhe one I had rejected becuase I thought it would have to lead to Harry's death (Harry as a horcrux) ...I never would have guessed the meaning of Deathly Hallows!!!! Thank Rowlng for them so that Harry could appear to die and yet survive in the end! I loved this book and I think it is the best of them all! |

| OMG!!! When could you not have cried in that book.
The top most part that I cried was when Snape died. That was the saddest book. I always had that thing in me that said that Snape was good, and I knew that he was going to die somhow. Tjhen when he did, I burst into tears. And when Harry saw Snapes memory, that made me cry even more. It was all very sad.
At the part where Hermione was caught by Bellitrix and Ron kept on saying "Take me instead" and all of that stuff, that made me cry a little. You could really tell that he loved her.
When Ron and Percy were trying to take care of Freds body when he died. That was really sad. I didn't want a weasley to die as much as i didn't want any of one of the trio to die. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Clifford Carden Fifth Year Ministry RPG Name:
Barney Jenkins Diagon Alley | There were part when I just couldn't stop crying and it normally takes alot to get me started..
When Hedwig was hit with a killing curse, that was so unexpected and I got very emotional.. Hedwig was Harry's only friend when he was staying with the Dursleys and she just always semed to be there.
When Dobby died. That again, was unexpected and when Harry was digging his grave I got very teary.
I cried and cried when Harry stood over his parents grave in Godric's Hollow..and again when Hermione was being tortured and screaming and the boy's couldn't get to her.. that made me shudder..
The parts that made me cry the most were the last few chapters. I was sobbing uncontrollably when Harry was walking to his death and he was thinking about Ginny.. and then when Hagrid thought he was dead and was carrying him back to the castle.. so sad..
Of course the whole chapter about Snape and Lily.. that was very emotional, just imaging Snape losing the one he loved so dearly, and how he looked into Harry's eyes before he died.. |

Hogwarts RPG Name: Charmelia Snape aka Zaza | There were many sad parts, including Hedwig´s and Fred´s deaths, but the saddest of all was to realize how much Snape still loved Lily. I had figured their relationship quite right, except for Snape never even daring to confess his love to her. I thought he had at least asked her out with him, to Puddifoot´s or somewhere ...
Edit: Actually I think he did ask her out. But since it is off topic here, I´ll have to write about it into Snape-thread, I guess.
